dollars on lobbying and handed out eight million dollars in pac contributions the koch's are also behind groups like americans for prosperity and freedom works which both gave and continue to give major financial support to the tea party cokehead movement and freedom partners or koch affiliated organization who has doled out grants worth over two hundred thirty million dollars to a variety of conservative organizations tea party and cokehead groups and front groups that opposed obamacare this all brings us to the keystone x.l. pipeline pipeline you say well recently the koch brothers have been throwing their billions were pieces of them at lobbyists and front groups and lawmakers that support the fossil fuel industry and specifically the construction of the keystone x.l. pipeline the koch brothers in fact of the fossil fuel industries largest donors to congressmen and congresswomen who sit on the committee that oversees the keystone x.l. pipeline. in two thousand and ten alone the koch's and their employees gave over

three hundred thousand dollars to members of just the house energy and commerce committee at the same time the koch's have given more than sixty million dollars to climate denial groups over the past fifteen years so why are the koch's handing out all this money to groups and lawmakers that support the keystone x.l. pipeline and support america's toxic addiction of fossil fuels why would they do that. it has to do something called money and not just a little a lot of money according to a new report released by the international forum on globalization the brothers stand to make up to one hundred billion dollars in profits with the approval of the keystone x.l. pipeline keep in mind these guys are only worth sixty eight billion dollars this could double their net worth the report found that the cokes and koch industries hold up to two million acres of land in alberta canada which is the proposed
