tv   Larry King Now  RT  December 31, 2013 11:00pm-11:31pm EST

11:00 pm
larry king now my favorite moment from twenty thirteen from the funniest if you were an artist what would you be i would be larry king's pimp your hired to the most surprising in revealing moments he broke my heart and he i thought he may have given me a death sentence i wanted to create a pretty woman moment and go and say big mistake we'll take a look back at twenty thirteen all next on larry king now. twenty three games with a great year and we've had some great moments here on larry king now as we've repaired to ring in the new year i want to share some of my favorite moments with
11:01 pm
you june twenty eighth one thousand nine hundred ninety seven the fight both of you will remember what is your memory of that fight when i bit it here and now a lawful lot of money and then the end of a log calm down i went to the psych ward for a few and i had to visit the psych will you get all with a fake where we can bite somebody you know will live on a million i mean to people like phil why did you buy a fifth and what why did you buy it because i had to i wanted to be the i didn't mean to buy him a bit if he i didn't really mean it was a good all right event all let's get it from your standpoint what happened is i just know i got bit. by a fellow with. the what do what we were shocked of course i'm telling you joe howard. and you know it was pretty high really you know ty and we're in the fight was this were ground was around third round where you winning yeah. was he
11:02 pm
winning yeah ok did you say i was calling no i did. too but how do you think that would have come out had you continued to fight or hope i would have won i hope i want to when i'm part of a bit of again. and you've been single over thirty years i have a year celibate watch you know i have to say larry and sean i was in a relationship a very intense i thought beautiful fabulous incredible relationship for nine years and it ended very abruptly. and it ended with my partner. i've been sleeping with just about everyone a mountain of gold i was in one thousand nine hundred two so it was the whole advent of aids he broke he broke my heart and then he i thought he may have given me a death sentence and i were treated and to myself i was tested for hiv every six months for twelve years to deal with the anger thank you you know after i
11:03 pm
got over the horrible feelings of of worthlessness and woe i was just furious furious thank you sean and so every time i would even contemplate another relationship i would be a negative self imposed i would just retreat don't you know as it does the engine is you know i have such a rich full life i'm such a lucky guy no i really don't in life they taught me there's four levels in life god your wife your children and whatever it is you do for a living most of my life i've had that kind of side down right well in music i'm going to give it to you the right way to do it songwriter is first artist record label in the technology that plays that music. right now if you look at it. technology is running everything which all they care about is selling their widgets or selling their their space the record labels who own all the copyrights are
11:04 pm
having to do whatever they say to get it done which puts the artist third and when you put the songwriter on the bottom the music's naturally going to suffer due to any one of you have a problem be it early you get the problem for the i got a lot of trouble in both younger guys both of us did i mean i i don't know if it was so much the fame that caused me to take the road i did with drugs now all as much as that was just my own insecurities and my own demons i mean i was a late late bloomer i didn't really drink drink till i was twenty two but we're going to do it i think ultimately my family sort of i mean the dynamic was disturbed as it was you know before this happened but if it does apart and out of their problems of guys. i think we're all the older brothers to them i think i think the fact that you know like nick and as he said he you know and a.j. a.j.
11:05 pm
didn't really come from a family besides you know he was just a single child the only child and you know we're the fact that we've been able to be a family of each other and lab right on that just in a weird way i mean these guys actually became more of a family than mine and they actually raised me in a lot of ways actually brian mentioned to me that you were my guardian callouses guardian for because our little legal guardian time. i've asked this of others who've had this and no one has to tell me why being successful they would go to groups i know why i know exactly why. because for people like me who are who are in recovery. you are born feeling empty on a certain level. and you are looking unconsciously or consciously to fill that and if you want to be an artist if you want to be an actor if you want to be a musician you think man if i ever make it it's going to
11:06 pm
fix me so then you make it and doesn't fix you now what hence the drugs the alcohol when my merge the second marriage thing. i opened up to the possibility of a person with an agenda i have never stopped being attracted to women so we're now dealing with the subject of bisexual with this subject is very misunderstood because the old the jews you are even gay your street where you've lost. it to it's not true and so i spend a few pages but i don't think the remarkable thing is that would have been the front page headline ten years ago and the society has advanced so much well i do this is it already has the returns i don't think it is the best and the hope i
11:07 pm
didn't say anything about it because several years ago i was in in france and i had an incident at a store there and i you know complained about which which i knew was clearly racism and because it only happens so often when i am directly confronted with it where it's so obviously in your face just recently i was in seward and i was at a store and this was last week i was in zurich and. i had gone there for tina turner's waiting and i've gone out to go shopping and i'm in a store. name brand store and i say to the woman i'm by myself absolutely nobody else with me and i say to the woman i would like to see that bag on the shelf and she says no that when it's too expensive i'll
11:08 pm
show you this when she did and she proceeded to tell me about the bag and how the bag was created for jennifer aniston it was the did this and that the jews should want this one and i said no but i really want to see the black when they're black women which i think it was you know a lizard or blue or alligator or something and i'm sure it was expensive and she said nonono. how does it make you feel good to see that well i wanted to laugh and i wanted to i wanted to create a pretty woman moment and go and come back and buy everything and say big mistake we'll take a look at some of the year's funniest moments on larry king now i've interviewed some of the great in person is over the years and some of them told me it's not so much the voice as the characteristics of the yeah it is and i it's good to watch them being interviewed and stead of actors big commission yeah albert you know one came from him to give any acceptance speech and he was just kind of being i was you know give me a. break you so much for me here just very very light all
11:09 pm
right. and you know. have people told you i have the pitch you know ever spoken to you know i saw him once and i was too afraid why would you be afraid he's a regular guy he's up. there for. all name someone you give me a quick impression ok channing tatum hot. nicki minaj. super hot wig where kate middleton super pregnant royal high. in that good not much diversity honey boo boo. super cute because i said super hot i would be majorly creepy if that's with her mom dogs you know mom yeah. humans are such you know then you were called a human on the show never and i have the way super hot short haired lady and matt damon super hot short haired lady so i did come back from commercial come back from
11:10 pm
commercial and you know it's ok to the to do c. but you introduced the c.m. in the motor to see i get it so to sit in it and go back from commercial resort for were burned and right away you know i go second. and you literally what. it's like he didn't even know i was part of it i couldn't have been that cruel you were cruel you were just your old larry you were old one of my favorite segments on the show is if you only knew from their first kiss to their most embarrassing moments i learned that you can never be too candid check this out first girl you have a kissed sharma leak poll you. lab. was a school i put my tongue in the mouth. whatever happened to show molly i don't know she probably got big as ours were five kids a first person you have
11:11 pm
a kissed is in the foyer of above a movie theater. oh boy you i was. thirty eight. what makes you laugh. a good fight will judge a change about yourself. i wish i was less gassy favorite book. the torah. curse word you will be you. or anybody follows me on twitter no this one well. well it's the greatest with the greatest whatever how could you ever answer that question with my greatness or damn when you can say. you said one oh if you were a rapper what would you be. probably a statistic. if you wanted to change what would you be unemployed. you have an obsessive compulsive relationship with furniture placement yeah i mean the kind of things you know you were waking up like why am i thinking about this
11:12 pm
you know what it was like what it would have lead to well i don't i mean i just you know you do moving on well right now i'm thinking about just repositioning the couch in the chairs in the living room so that they're facing each other with the fireplace here as opposed to i mean it's pointless it's a sound i said yes well doing doing that with your favorite food. for. d.c. in the shower that's my favorite place. to sound better this sounds amazing you're on the name the roll is the road you turn down you regretted. jake la motta in raging bull and if you were an artist what would you be i would be larry caves. you hired me. i recently ventured to downtown l.a. for a tour of the sports museum of los angeles a museum is generate a gallery cypress shared with me his private collection of dodges and yankees
11:13 pm
memorabilia and frankly folks i have never experienced a day like it my first game my father died june one thousand nine hundred forty three and my cousin mungo bernie bit a woman who was a bullpen catcher for the yankees he took me my father was dead about a month to my first dodger game and we walked up the ramp let reserve seats and the field the green was so grave and the dirt was so brown and the white lines was so white and home plate was so old white and i just dug on i couldn't believe i tell you about this play is the world series fifty five and even the five year we won the world series and jackie's last year run as a dodger stealing home is that important thing here is this foot catches a bear or is that the ted there right jackie catches the corner of the play there
11:14 pm
there are swears the tag number four all right there is eighty eight years old i saw him last year in yankee stadium he's in a wheelchair he's got his own museum in monkland matters so i'm talking to my lawyer use interview your good yogi what do you remember about the play he gets up . we'll be right back with some of my favorite moments don't click away wealthy british. tirelessly. and. the markets. find out what's really happening to the global economy with max concert for a no holds barred look at the global financial headlines two kinds of reports.
11:15 pm
the papers take a very hard take a look once again there was a plane flight pattern that that was that hurt their feelings. that you claim. to. please. please. please the people.
11:16 pm
when you go to the opening night of one of your movies and you stand in the back which i know directors like to do what do you want to hear from the audience while i go in the front because i want to turn around and watch people's faces the best thing that can happen is when people are gasping and they're not looking and you watch two people on a date and they're like squeezing each other i remember opening night of hostel there was like one girl was buried it was a time screeching buried in a boyfriends and she's like what you do now and she goes on and he got a scissor chill playing it and like that for me which was the greatest and i remember i went i went to the magic johnson theater. in los angeles and this girl when they ran over this girl stop was like yeah. like screaming and everyone was
11:17 pm
actively participating in the movie and when that happens you know you've got him that's what you want you want if people just sort of sit there and they're like if they look at their phone or they shuffle your dad when they're sitting there like that or like that or screaming that's it you like the greatest feeling in the world i interviewed w w e superstar the big show you remember him and he said the closest time he ever came diverted someone in the ring was when you broke his nose when i got involved with the w w e. it was like your big show can have i'm a match of us what you need so you can fight us to what do you mean fight is it will say is there no. fight for real life the wrestling was fake so when i punched him in the face. you know i broke his nose as a canadian astronaut do you mean like a style i didn't already somewhat demeaning have ended up where you mean that all they do is say please please give us
11:18 pm
a lot about medians they're up they have someone who thought that was right. is it true that you would not go into space you captain kirk larry i would go into space in a minute all i want is a guarantee that i'll come back so what happened obvious haven't i got into. altercation with the miss is at the time and things went unsolved you know from that point not made a mistake as many of us have we have violent unfortunately is that your nature you know i do i do regret it as death regret it you know do you think the dolphins were right in telling you he would think sometimes a team or codes organization was somewhat stick by the player in that and it's i like that you know until everything comes out you find out what happens but you know i have the heart of it is that i'm making is released as sometimes you don't want to deal with this stuff. and i have to respect it isn't that hard if it's so
11:19 pm
the most fun moments from the show have been when i stepped away from interviewing and had a little fun with the guests jay get out we thought this would be a marvelous opportunity to introduce a new segment on our show called how to impress your celebrity boss starring the staff of larry king now this is basically hollywood one hundred one rachel and cheryl if you could please provide some of my employees with your sound advice first up for rude varane vote for you guys so on the new guy in the office and i have two questions oh nice to meet you by the way larry thank you for. those a with what do you spend so we have the interactive coming up on a future show and little bit of a harry potter fan there any suggestions on how i can avoid being starstruck. should he approach i would say i would say don't ever not don't ever try to let go of being starstruck because sheryl and i when we went to the vanity fair party

a couple years and always you know it that people like it when you come up to them and say you know larry i'm such a huge fan driven on like that when people say always it is it is always nice but you but the trick is to get out gracefully because he's not going to want you to sit down and hang out you know if. because i'm sure you're a great person but you have to do your thing and then act like you have wanted to act it out we're going to show you me i'm your hair a product ok i'm here i'm daniel radcliffe it's so great to see you know i am i even like i am the biggest fan and q. so much. guy so i would love to talk to you but larry needs me on this sad to think you this lovely thing i thought about writing is you know again i would love to i got it this is the way to deal with it that you think about you and i know he. do that you're fired ok. this is the room a lot of to me by a short. time and this is why i wrote this is that i will say it's the smallest of

i know c.n.n. m s n b c u. slightly but the fact is i admire their commitment to cover all sides of the story just in case one of them happens to be accurate. that was funny but it's close enough for the troops and might think. it's because when full attention in the mainstream media works side by side the joke is actually on you. and our team news we have a different brain. because the news of the world just is not this funny i'm not laughing dammit i'm not how. you guys think of the jokes will handle the stuff that got.

what is up y'all i'm abby martin and this is breaking the set you probably heard about arizona governor jan brewer for all the wrong reasons after all her love for private prisons and disdain for undocumented immigrants ranked her among the worst governors in the us unfortunately this next story only helps cement her place on the list she was recently disclosed over six thousand child abuse claims across arizona have gone completely on investigated and while that number refers to cases dating back to two thousand and nine the vast majority of them are only a few months old and while i'm not blaming brewer for the abuse itself of course she did take office in two thousand and nine so every one of these cases happened under her watch at the very least she could have fired the man alternately responsible for child protect.
