the program deadly shootings at a mosque a school that left one teacher and a policeman dead after a gunman who is thought to have been one of the students took more than twenty teenagers hostage they've all now been released and the shooter is under arrest well our correspondent english has followed me the developments for us here in moscow irina what we now this point is that it all happened very quickly what else is there what sort of information is available to us absolutely as a matter of fact we started tracking the story. from the very beginning until just about his arrest i would say maybe an hour an hour and a half has passed maximum basically forward to look at this timeline we're looking at a young man who is one of the senior students in this school who walked into the school building with apparently two rifles that's information according to the ministry of the interior and now the guard has walked him upon his request to one of the

classrooms and after doing that he pressed the panic button so when this student was actually entering the classroom the police were already starting to to come. the building however this student did have a chance of unfortunately to wound. one of the teachers the teacher of geography who was in that classroom the teacher later died from he's rooms after the police have come down on them onto these school grounds at least two of them have gone over to negotiate with the shooter and he has shot both of them one of them has died on the scene another one is in hospital right now again this information is also coming from the police that the student has allegedly also opened fire on other police who are surrounding the building from from the window off the classroom however very shortly afterwards while the students the rest of the students who were in school including the staff of course members were being evacuated the police have actually managed to bring in these students father who was part of the negotiating team who has coerced to his son to surrendering to give

police at this point according to the testimony that we heard from one of the students which was broadcast in one of russian russia's channels according to that student this shooter is actually. is actually nearly perfect student who has never been there who has never been in conflict with neither the teacher of geography nor any other teachers so exactly what was the reason for the shooting rampage what has set this young man off is not yet known of course and it is a geisha has officially started we do know that the shooter is looking at least three criminal cases that have been opened against him and of course we're also serving the latest situation on the scene we will be bringing you pictures that we have shot there in just a very short while. thank you so much for bringing us the very latest as we continue to monitor the situation and as soon as there are more developments we'll be bringing them to our viewers here in the international.

french government in particular fronts war on the president to hear their anger their government is very firm exists in this matter i mean they don't want to go but there are many many people who just want to hold that the right of two germans i just don't care that she's she says even more so use for a long time his personal popularity well that is it an all time low and he's currently seems the the most unpopular french president in recent memory and what that seeing is more remote people coming out onto the streets to vent their anger against all odds and against the rules that he's trying to impose on them that they say infringes upon traditional family values here martin spoke to one french activist who is so unhappy with president alonso performance that she's gone on a hunger strike. so. it's been a day since i've been fostered i only drink water because there are many people

demanding the resignation of francois hollande because he's unworthy of representing fronts more and more countries including germany england and russia making fun of fronts we are many french people who think that own land is not legitimate to govern this country he is ruining france a president a lot of rule rating remains low was just twenty two percent of france satisfied with him as their leader has become record breaking really unpopular and mounting frustration over broken promises he pledged to cut unemployment by the end of two thousand and thirteen but the number out of work in france rose about three million the largest since records began a lot of promise to restore growth but it's hardly lifted above zero reaching about point one percent last year french journalist robert harris believes a long focus on sexual orientation issues as a smokescreen to distract the public from his failures. d'souza issues that are used to divert the race to distract attention from his own popularity one to get

seed pressure at the ministries each year is actually to these issues that he clearly there is i suppose about one of the population who do feel very strongly about this we talked about this year ago at that time i said there is the set of the population who will not go on the subject of wards of government issues that hold a week back to the background there is the new code which is it's barring them to try all of it or if you like this is not. even favor of the family was a pair of children. for sure just. brussels and washington are putting together a significant short term assistance for ukraine which is grid by mass protests in a standoff between the government and the opposition e.u. foreign policy chief catherine ashton said the package is supposed to help the country through a transition period the money will be depended on the new cranium government approved approving political and economic reforms to the west

a plan that comes after opposition leaders calls for greater involvement and more than just vocal support to the protests in ukraine the assistance maybe more than just cash will help for investment also on the cards waiting in a way the energy giants were keen to exploit the country's shale gas potential and that's got locals worried as both we are now explains. western ukraine a beleaguered battleground for american oil giants two months ago kids signed we went with chevron to use this area for fracking. that would have altered toxic chemicals pumped into the earth contaminated environments just some of the risks that have sparked protests against fracking in the united states and europe i thought i. should. now it's ukrainian farmers not only who are left in the cold spring time our lakes

and rivers will get dirty sporadic protests have fallen on deaf ears unable to match the might of the fuel lobby for if america comes to ukraine we can lose our position and america will control ukrainian money and business meanwhile countries like france switzerland and the netherlands a worried enough to have banned the technology the ten billion dollar deal level chevron to operate in the country for fifty years it has the right to sell the gas it up tains with quotas to other countries so all claims that ukraine will make a lot of money are in fact nonsense and in a place where unemployment his wife kids promise of thousands of new jobs is enough pay for people next engine forty four years old and employed and trying to care for his sick mother of all day over hopeful gets a job people in ukraine are not scared of work we must just learn what to do the courage for kiev is energy independence and cheap fuel for

a country struggling to pay the bills even though russia dropped the cost of its gas by almost a third to calculate the shale spoils industry experts look at precedents in neighboring poland with companies promise the earth only to significantly scale back which is very high risk for this bush because after the five years of exploration process called bodies may decide to stop their activities because they are trying some places where it will be their disability to produce gas pressure on peers to keep these firms out is growing but not fast enough it seems to quell the government's desire to have its own gas whatever the cost or concerns of the people policy our team have live coverage of western ukraine. and reaching out to chevron and shell ukrainian authorities say the firms will help the country achieve self-sufficiency and even enable its own energy exports the oil and gas giants

insist fracking is safe but americans are malice verus dragons differ. the process itself is you cannot or millions of gallons of liquid laced with sand and with chemicals under super high pressures down into all these drilled holes without having a consequence this whole fracking. madness is spreading all over the planet they want to frack as many countries as possible and so more people are getting aware of it and i'm getting people here from all over europe north america africa to come here to see for themselves the science what they hear from the gas companies because the gas company will admit to no problems everything is hunky dory everything is covered all the bases are covered we have nothing to worry about folks we know what we are doing. stay with us here at national as we report
