ukraine's president agrees to make concessions to the opposition including early elections and constitutional reform the parliament even approves a law that would allow former prime minister yulia timoshenko to walk free from prison. meanwhile western powers thank russia for helping mediate the talks and reach the crucial deal raising hopes that mayhem could be over soon. then again maybe not because the radicals that have been rioting in kiev for the past few days of buying the concessions saying they'll storm the parliament on saturday morning unless the president steps down immediately we go live to kiev shortly here on r.t. international. this

is our international within twenty four hours a day live from our studio center here in moscow and that we start with the latest news then from ukraine where a peace deal has been signed between the president and the opposition its terms include an early presidential election which is to be held between september and december now that's amid a number of other concessions but radical anti-government rioters don't seem convinced let's get more live now from auntie's and he had to share ski alexy so what sort of reaction are you hearing about this from the rioters there in independence square where you are. well if you look at this could easily be described as the biggest political day in the history of modern ukraine at least in the last several years with the government and the opposition finding some sort of consensus signing a peace deal and the parliament was very busy today agreeing so many crucial laws returning to the constitution of two thousand and four providing amnesty and

support for all those who were detained and injured during the protests from both sides but also as well as calling on an early presidential ballot it's still unclear what day it will be held but still if the initiative came from the parliament and most importantly even setting almost basically releasing you later machine for the former prime minister from prison decriminalizing the criminal code the criminal article of the code that she's been spending time in prison seven years of the term and two years she's already spent there but the right wing radicals the so-called right wing sacked dos to be seem to be happy with those concessions when the opposition leaders who are the ones basically who trashed out this deal within the parliament who trashed out those laws and made those initiatives were speaking from the stage at the independence square they were booed and jeered by some part of the crowd and then the leader of the right wing radicals took over the microphone and said that if you want to call that the president of

ukraine does not step down now by ten o'clock in the morning on saturday they will attack with fire arms they will storm the governmental buildings and it will be back to square one we see where how it goes but it's been interesting to witness here at the independence square how leaders of the opposition literally leading the crowds to agree with those concessions to agree with this peace treaty they made this is definitely was a very strong and very well negotiated effort with several parts sticking taking several sides taking part in it the e.u. representatives the one from russia and in fact some some some sort of praise came from. the united states from john carney as well as from the foreign minister of poland. sikorski who said that they actually praised russia for taking part in this only goes seating effort but whether this negotiating african actually bring the violence to a hold or to an end to complete and is still a big question will have to wait until ten o'clock in the morning on saturday to

see whether the right wing sector will keep their promise or up to the moment thanks very much indeed for that live update from kiev artie's alexy to share ski there well police have been withdrawn from the administrative area of ukraine's capital of the government fulfilled its part of the peace deal the rest that's been raging in the country since tuesday has claimed at least eighteen lives and that's the official figure the opposition says the number is much higher eyewitness reports and numerous videos show dozens of bodies lying openly in the streets covered only by in blankets hundreds have also been injured well from the capital chaos quickly spread to the west of ukraine now that's a region which is traditionally critical of the government of the city of laval of there that's been left virtually without any police force that's because most officers including many high ranking ones have joined the antigovernment protesters on kiev's independence square and at the moment it's impossible to even call the police or report a crime in laval little surprise then that hundreds of firearms battens and other

riot and military equipment have been looted from a local base and given away to the government writers and throughout the west of ukraine radicals have been using guns homemade bombs and improvised weapons to take over government offices or such behavior has been causing outrage amid some in the east now this is the part of the country which is traditionally more pro russian and has greater support for president. and his government and locals have been organizing against anti-government rioters have been emerging here to his heart of where the radicals of the city hall and police headquarters government offices were also surrounded in one of the biggest cities and their property but people's militia squads have been joining forces with the police there and they seem determined to fight off the spreading radical threat. this idea originated in the minds of our petri it's when there is a difficult situation where nationalist contagion spreads across ukraine when they

peacefully so says derek munro he's from the foreign policy in focus think tank. it is very troubling specific from a political standpoint were the current a difference factions which are probably the most aggressive in an overall fraidy are really beyond any control the only control of the people who are really protesting peacefully also people control the major to the position parties so it's basically a state of flux if it weren't individual party or faction where it slowed where there is a still less for a long drawn out war where that might be for their own interests or over mission on command control and to be severally are doing whatever they feel it's necessary for them to achieve their own goals which out of it is point i'm not even sure what the goals really are because it seems to be changing from hour to hour minute to minute .

flight transit road to vnukovo report your best way to the heart of moscow. i just first state of the city address new york mayor bill de blasio said that he would put forward legislation for the city to issue special municipal identification cards to undocumented immigrants he summed up his feelings by saying to all my fellow new yorkers who are undocumented i say new york city is your home too and we will not force any of our residents to live their lives in the shadows yeah that sounds nice but the reason these illegal immigrants live their lives in the shadows is because they immigrated illegally why should new yorkers bend over backwards for illegal criminal immigrants this is the same logic that if i catch a guy breaking into my house as a gracious host i should offer him
3:24 pm
a pizza because it's his home to this is not just a slap in the face to rule of law but also to the immigrants who do go through the bureaucracy and headaches to become u.s. citizens the right way the legal way so the blasio if you're going to provide these illegal immigrants with some sort of document it should be a plane ticket back home with instructions on how to apply for a green card the legit proper way just like everyone else has to fashion just my opinion. first of all victoria nuland did not make a five billion dollar investment in ukraine that's rubbish second of all let's talk about russia's russia's investment russia cuts gas prices to support you in a cold rich russia is buying ukrainian show bogs of the ukrainian government with serious very here you're here you're so serious you know get your facts straight ok they're eurobonds russia wants all the facts straight very much so i'm saying is
3:25 pm
that russia is expanding billions and billions of dollars to bring ukraine into the ration union and the majority of ukrainian people don't want to do the. you made your point it's russia's fault was i really said just now that russia could russia's actions could result in the breakup of ukraine is absolute. nonsense victoria nuland scumming demonstrates america's lip service to the concepts of freedom and democracy. you know there's a new game in town it's called the hunger games housing games plus congar equals the hunger games while a user on my website named andy perry coined the phrase it was david cameron who invented the brutal game in which there are no housing games without hunger pains.

here we couldn't have a hit list and will she use it in a possible two thousand and sixteen white house bid inside the revealing new book about the former secretary of state and first lady with the all close jonathan allen and amy pond's plus new a hillary clinton journos unveiled coming up next on politicking with larry king. live politicking on larry king it's a pleasure to welcome from washington the authors of the new book eight charge sea state secrets and the rebirth of the. bloomberg white house reporter jonathan allen and amy parnes the white house correspondent for the hill newspaper john how did
3:27 pm
this book come about. well larry we thought voters were going to be interested in heading into two thousand and sixteen and what hillary clinton had been doing for the last four or five years as secretary of state of course she got some attention but not in real depth and we thought going back and looking at the record starting at the end of the two thousand and eight campaign and following that rise back to political problems we give them an idea of how she makes decisions who she puts around her and of course how she might govern if she was present in the united states so we went about reporting that we talked to more the two hundred people for this book and we believe we've got a revealing and intimate portrait of a woman who may well be the next president of the united states great friend of a picture to amy what do you mean by rebirth well you know this is her comeback story in a way and we think that we're trying to tell a narrative there were she has had to file for a few fall for the course of her career the first being when she was pushing health
3:28 pm
care under her husband's administration then following the monica lewinsky scandal and then the two thousand and eight the brutal two thousand a primary campaign we thought she had a really interesting story to tell how she kind of rises she fall from the bench she rises higher than ever very phoenix like you well in a sense john along with i guess george h.w. bush the best qualified person if you run for the presidency forgetting your politics is the most qualifications to run based on through the job. certainly in a long time as you point out george h.w. bush had a lot of jobs in government cia director of an embassador to china but for the most part the country has been electing governors people who come from outside the political process senator obama had only been in washington for a few years not the kinds of qualifications of being an eight year senator secretary of state first lady this sort of harkens back to the early days of the republican terms of the types of experiences that leaders have of course none of
3:29 pm
them were first lady unimaginable at that point that you would have a woman so close to running for the presidency and so close potentially to being a major party nominee or actually within the presidency amy how much access did she give you. we got quite a bit of access we're not comfortable really discussing the people we talk to but we are very happy with the access we've got all across the board we've talked to people very low level on her campaign all the way up to the top people who like her are people who don't like her and all of that is reflected in how much time amy with her. we're not really discussing here if back to you larry for the centers for the senate john the book is about her you know going to tell me what they had access to that don't make any sense to me. let me do it this way we had access from the very low wrong to the very top wrong and you can see in the book there are plenty of fresh quotes from hillary clinton about various stages over the last four
3:30 pm
or five years including her thinking on whether or not to run for president so we might guess those quotes were given to you. you can guess as you would like larry and i certainly wouldn't deny it ok amy the biggest revelation book is getting a lot of attention as this book deserves maybe the hit list she and her staff made ranking supporters after not getting the nomination in two thousand and eight these jihad did she had a list of people she liked and people she didn't like true. true what she did was a couple of people on her campaign staff in two thousand a put together a microsoft excel spreadsheet and they kind of ranks the people who were friendliest to them a one and the people who were seen as traitors as a seven and some of those names you might be familiar with larry like ted kennedy for instance john kerry there were claire mccaskill their list goes on and on but.
