coming up on r.t.e. a talk show host says family members of several dead navy seals are questioning how they died family members of the disease think there's more to the afghan chopper crash and the government is claiming we'll speak to radio host michael savage about that just ahead. and monsanto is paying out the company has begun providing benefits to west virginia locals who sued the agra giant over the effects of a chemical known as dioxin that came out of the plant more in this case coming up. and the u.s. federal reserve chair woman is in hot water but this time it has nothing to do with her monetary policy and everything to do with her security detail we'll tell you
4:01 pm
who's complaining later in the show. it's tuesday july eighth four pm in washington d.c. i'm your i david and you're watching our team america. it's been three years since the u.s. carried out a covert navy seal operation to capture and kill osama bin laden in the days after the successful mission the u.s. or viel that the men behind the attack were part of seal team six the navy's premier counterterrorism unit even though everyone in that raid survived shortly after that mission fifteen navy seals from the same team were killed after their military helicopter was shot down in afghanistan senate hearings were held back in february with the military attempting to shed light on the circumstances surrounding what happened including whether or not the taliban had any prior
4:02 pm
knowledge of the mission and whether or not that led to the helicopter being shot down take a listen to part of that hearing there's no possibility of information going up the chain and then somehow coming back out to the taliban we believe the enemy positioned himself in that building whether or not he knew anyone was coming in he was in a very advantageous place tactically to to strike the aircraft as it approached to this day there are so a lot of on answered questions and some people including the parents of these seals now believe there may be more to the story and some are questioning it to an even greater degree to have south africa specht of a little bit more i was joined earlier by radio talk show host michael savage i first asked him to talk about what questions still need to be answered. the first question is why were all of the seals seal team six the same unit that look out of
4:03 pm
some of them are put on one old slow flying vietnam era helicopter a c.h. forty seven chinook when america has some of the most advanced helicopters in the world they never you should know with this kind of extraction mission this was odd number one number two why would why would you put all of your best men in one helicopter why make such a single target one of the spurs going through a fast attack not what doctors so those are the questions that have never been answered but it is it clear that that the same seals who were involved with the osama bin laden raid were the ones who were on this helicopter you know what they were part of this and you know from the naval special warfare going to let me group goals team six same unit same team ok well there has been a hearing on this very issue was called back in february what was the result of that hearing was there any progress made in beginning to understand why that aircraft went down why there were so many navy seals on one particular aircraft. i
4:04 pm
i never heard anything that came of it it wasn't substantive it was a little whitewash typical u.s. government whitewash i mean why did they even have a hearing because the parents were screaming out the parents i have you spoke with the parents little. i have not but i was going to ask you to tell me what you've learned from some of the parents you spoken to say that they have they have the documents to prove that this was not an accident number one michael strange the father of one of the seals who was you know. says that on at least three separate occasions frya to this is that his son grabbed him by the arm and announced that he had his will and his father said he's never done this before and michael his son later died in this crash that something is going on with the team somebody sleeping things out something is going on when he was on the show he said that i sent him your son that he was being sent that was that the father replied they knew they
4:05 pm
knew something was up every one of them other families of navy seals that died in this crash for what it's similar experiences with their sons the last time they saw it that there are other anomalies that are that did come out and you have to talk to some of the parents who have more that than i do that a lot of the man at the hearing and got it now the father said on this show that there was no chase helicopter that was not what the support with the seal team which is very unusual i said still on my radio show so you're saying they plan to execute your son and the others on purpose the father of the debt ceiling said this one hundred percent sir one hundred percent that's what the father said. no i don't have the answers but i do have some questions right well sometimes some of the families of course believe the story should be put to rest others have
4:06 pm
insinuated that something is going on that the government may have purposely put these seals in harm's way what would be the motive of the government to do that have you ever thought about why this. this theory could even stick in the first place right now absolutely there. are many people in this country suspect is administration and that never treated by islamists with the highest level say that's crazy your television shows about double agents the idea was not played you know two or three or four more is not something new to the government we all know it exists why could it not the f word exists in this government so let's assume that that did exist let's take that crazy conspiracy theory to its logical conclusion wouldn't that then make sense that they made a decision to put them all in this helicopter or let's throw away the conspiracy theory let's ask this who are the defense department made this decision to put all of them in an old slow offline helicopter is
4:07 pm
a lot of combat zones why didn't i put them into three things strike malefactors who want to defense the foreign made this decision when the oval office made this decision these are the questions that have never been answered and i fire a congressman running a hearing i would to stop this no i got that answer because somebody did this let's say again no conspiracy it was just an idiot in the defense department some moron a came from a college i was put in his events the pardon for political reasons the way they used to do with the k.g.b. where they had so-called political officers who had no military experience to make certain that everyone complied with the politically correct looks ok let's say they said listen we'll in the helicopter why i don't know maybe they thought they could save some money on fuel. what i want to know why maybe it was a dumb decision in either case somebody made that decision and somebody should go to jail. i think a lot of people who who believe that as long as they're running the government would have to question while some of the modern was killed in the first place then
4:08 pm
that wouldn't really fall into the same logic but as i understand it right now everything that's out there is is pretty much anecdotal is there any hard evidence that could lead anyone to believe this was anything more than a tragic incident hard evidence sometimes evidence insists no hard evidence of the tech that will tell you that you have to start with what you have and what we have is common sense common sense military procedure i do not know of any other such mission to law combat zone. where all the members of an advanced elite team were put on one helicopter number one number to put on an old vietnam era helicopter and number three was not accompanied by least two to support helicopters so that would be the starting point you have to say that we know it's a conspiracy but you wasn't going to say it's nonsense that it isn't i was radio
4:09 pm
talk show host michael savage. and now to ukraine where he have authorities are continuing to put military pressure on anti-government forces this comes just a couple of days after rebels lost their main stronghold to kiev in the city of slovyansk in the aftermath president petro poroshenko has confirmed plans to move forward and regain control of the eastern cities of lugano and donetsk however the two one biggest towns in the country's east fear that if seizures develop a major humanitarian crisis could ensue artie's maria financial is on the ground in eastern ukraine with more. the operational leadership in kiev announced that the cities of the nets and lugansk will be besieged so that the anti-government forces will be sealed inside without any chance to get any support from anywhere outside and all that with continuing attacks and of course fears
4:10 pm
a rise in right now that the consequences of this besieged could be more dramatic we here to rehear every day and many times a day we also know that multiple rocket launcher known as get out or pay was also used here both sides claim that they are not targeting and they will not target the residential areas but we have to tell that it happens and this is why me and my cameraman although we are now in the city center we have to work in flak jackets on monday and shell landed just a few blocks away from where we are now into the car and reportedly the driver died at the scene and today is a minibus also was hit in the city center and reportedly two people were killed as well while the other strategy is obviously to target those who they claim a terrorist and separatists it is clear that ordinary civilians become victims very often. sure. if we move. with it what is our school troyer.
4:11 pm
who will illuminate us who. should be well we can say that the anti-government forces are now in high alert preparing for this besieged but local residents are also getting closer to something that could be described already as panic this is the situation here on the ground right now and fears are that it could even deteriorate reef notion or from lugansk. all right well russian authorities have reacted with anger over the detainment of the son of a russian member of parliament the man was detained by u.s. agents in the mall deaves on suspicion that he had been hacking computer systems to steal the credit card details of thousands of americans artie's gynae to check out and has more. the u.s. secret service has captured the russian citizen in the maldives and shipped him to a u.s. base in guam where he was formally arrested now the u.s.
4:12 pm
justice department did not elaborate on the circumstances of mr city is no arrest neither have u.s. officials notified russian authorities about the grounds on which this thirty year old man was snatched in the mall deaves and sent to the guam overnight moscow qualify cities know of detention as kidnapping so there's no father who happens to be a russian state duma deputy lawmaker thinks it might be a scheme to trade his son for edward snowden his family also says what i am a citizen of still doesn't have a lawyer moscow also criticizes the government of the mole defs for letting the u.s. secret service smuggle people out of their country like that while the mall deaves is not the only place where the u.s. was allowed to do that thailand allowed the u.s. to take hold of victim loot the russian arms dealer in the capital of liberia u.s. forces arrested pilot constantine you are schrenker four years ago to charge him with drug trafficking russians are not the only ones the u.s. is chasing around the world citizens of other countries became subject to these
4:13 pm
kinds of snap extraditions in some cases they were captured just based on suspicion and later their cases fell apart like that of khalid to el masri a german citizen who was snatched in macedonia and sent to a cia black sites in afghanistan where he was tortured and the u.s. government later admitted it was a mistake and released him a similar thing happened to a house on nasir an egyptian cleric who was smuggled from italy to be released later so this is a recurring situation where the u.s. captures citizens of different countries without properly notifying their governments. correspondent guy need to check. how much does free speech cost while two hundred fifteen thousand dollars according to the city of los angeles african-american michael. hunt brought a lawsuit against the city of angels after being removed from a public parks and recreation meeting back in two thousand and eleven for wearing a clue klux klan hood and a profanity emblazoned t.

counties in new jersey hundred and mercer and bucks pennsylvania. to wake up and start talking about the real cause. it was two years ago that agribusiness giant monsanto agreed to settle all pending litigation related to dioxin contamination from a plant and i trow west virginia is the plant that produces agent orange herbicides a decade ago that made some people very very sick and today those individuals will finally be able to begin obtaining the benefits of that settlement already one of the france has more. monsanto a self-proclaimed sustainable agriculture company has just opened a new temporary office at niter west virginia to tackle a big new project the world's leading producer of roundup has spent fortunes in research and development to create market dominating herbicides pesticides and even
4:18 pm
weed resistant seeds now the new office is aimed at monitoring the effects on locals dioxin a byproduct of its pesticide production most notably it's found in agent orange for use in the vietnam war and the u.s. government has recognized this toxic compound as a cancer causing agent and it's been linked to birth defects food allergies and learning disabilities but this comes after locals filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of anyone living where dioxin was produced between one nine hundred forty nine and one nine hundred seventy one in order to avoid going to trial monsanto has agreed to spend up to eighty four million dollars on the program twenty one million for initial testing another sixty three million is available if the levels warrant it and another nine million on property cleanup and locals have until october thirty first to register for this medical monitoring program and to register also for property cleanup to be eligible for medical

testing locals must have gone to school worked or live near night full time between one thousand nine hundred nine and two thousand and ten in light of this lawsuit and the numerous studies pointing out dioxins toxicity health and environmental groups say a worrying trend is emerging a sort of pesticide treadmill in which a method of farming relies on ever larger amounts of chemical use possibly creating super weeds chemical companies that are hitting hard are back with chemical resistant seeds and even more urban sides in fact the agribusiness industry is waiting on the environmental protection agency and the u.s. department of agriculture for the approval of soybeans and corn engineered to tolerate two or besides other than one the crops. engineered by dow agro sciences are in a public comment period until june thirtieth but already the e.p.a. and the u.s.d.a. seem to offer very favorable reviews with final decisions expected next summer jeffrey m.
4:20 pm
smith author of seeds of deception has joined us before to talk about the effects these crops can have on the environment and i'm not. brave now monsanto is trying to get crops on the market because you can stand doses of two for deer or beside which is a component of agent orange there's other things i've learned in any of these things could create major environmental catastrophes but once it's released into the environment there's no full recall that you can do because the genes propagate through holland and it becomes a cell propagating to do any collusion that could outlast the effects of global warming or nuclear waste that given these three decade length of the natural west virginia study and the pace at which newly engineered crops are being approved it begs a few questions if truly damaging medical evidence is eventually found then what will agribusiness giants be called to account when they continue to genetically engineer crops to the detriment of our health well this so-called pesticide
