absolutely doesn't sound anything. to teach me creation why you should care about humans. this is why you should care only. breaking news here on r.t. international russia's defense ministry says a second. airliner in the moments before it went down in eastern ukraine bearing characteristics of the. international experts are starting to arrive at the crash site four days after the tragedy happened amid mounting concern for a full scale investigation is being stalled. also in eastern ukraine a local militia triggers public outrage after being photographed apparently taking a toy from the disaster side but new video shows his accusers wrong.
11:01 am
thank. i really tank shell a hospital already packed with injured. as the military offensive enters its third week triggering global condemnation and calls for an immediate cease fire. deal watching international. and we will start this hour with breaking news another jet was detected at the same time and place of the malaysian plane crash in eastern ukraine and it had the characteristics of a military that is what russia's defense ministry has revealed in the past couple of hours it also spotted increased activity of ukrainian radars on the movement of book rocket launches in the area on the day of the tragedy auntie's marina explains
11:02 am
there was a second aircraft which was the tech that gaining high at the same time as the boeing seven seven was flying over there and watch it what's interesting is that it reached its distance between this aircraft and boeing seven seven was at one point between three to five kilometers now what's the question that springs up here is why have deployed military jets so close to passenger planes because we're not only talking about the malaysian boeing there were other planes flying over that area as well and why not reveal it because since considering everything that's happened this is crucial information and now i believe we can hear about some more details regarding the second aircraft and what russia's defense minister believes that was . at five twenty one pm and thirty five seconds another mark of an aircraft appeared at the point of the boeing crash this aircraft was steadily monitored by radar station in ask and detour in sky during the next four minutes having spotted the jets in air traffic controller failed to identify it as the aircraft most
11:03 am
probably didn't count for self identification system which is characteristic of military aircraft. what's also interesting is that ukraine's radar activity seemed to have peaked on the day of the crash and actually satellite pictures show that from the fourteenth of july ukraine's anti aircraft missiles were being moved towards the east of the country which is interesting again why because kiev authorities had said up until that point that government forces in the east did not have book missiles yet they are shown in these satellite pictures a move in their arsenal towards the east of the country also one of the pictures clearly shows that a factory of the book missile is seen within a few kilometers of donetsk and now the day after the crash that battery is gone so another question springs up then we have a u.s. which insists that has pictures proving that the missile was launched by the rebels in the rebel controlled territory or russia on its part and the defense ministry
11:04 am
says that its pictures show that u.s. space satellites were actually monitoring that very same area surrounding the plane as that second aircraft so they should have pictures and if they do have them then why not show them in this evidence that there is saying that they have why not show it to the world so they can analyze these pictures as well allegations of russia's involvement in the malaysian plane crash have been picked up by many media outlets these are just some of the headlines that have been appearing and making it clear who they blame for the tragedy pointing the finger directly at president putin. this is not a case where terrorists are operating without an address or home base it's called the kremlin the brain was largely on putin and i think we have to hold them accountable russian separate issues russian equipment that they were trained on by russians to bring down a commercial jetliner. however there are parts of the story that being largely ignored ukraine has released what it claims is an intercepted phone call between
11:05 am
until government forces in which they admit to downing the plane but speeches sound analysts nicholai popof thinks that the recording is a fabrication. or it's being presented as one un edited recording in reality the sort of if i was compiled out of several fragments in the time mark was inconsistent the part where it is being said the plane was downed by cossacks these markers reveal that one fragment was recorded at sixteen thirty three and that the second fragment which comes right afterwards was recorded at seventeen fifteen. has also released pictures of a surface to air missile launch which it claims was spotted in an area held by anti-government forces the local say the town in that video has been under the control of the ukrainian army for the past two months from a security consultant load of says that so far no real evidence has been produced when you see. this is something that is produced by experts on the ground it takes
11:06 am
weeks and months before you can jump to any conclusion whatever is being said is just speculation to a political speech. and the detail that's been largely sidelined is that the pilot was told by the ukrainian air traffic controllers to reduce our attitude by six hundred meters just before disaster struck have also been raised over the you knew flight path. what is actually suspicious is that the plane has do you from typically two weeks which seems to be now very very different from the flight just a day before you can also claim that the missile that hit the plane was launched from territory controlled by anti-government fighters intelligence expert charles bridge says it's hard to establish that for sure one could say from the outset with some investigation the air of ground from which it was launched and of course that would give an indication even though it's accepted i think that is to put in much
11:07 am
of eastern ukraine is in a fluid situation in terms of who controls what any given time what the media was quick to latch on to though was the picture of an alleged looter at the crash site now this is caused a lot of anger let's listen to what the dutch prime minister had to say it because what i am shocked by the images of totally disrespectful behavior at this tragic site this is downright disgusting and it's really all about this photograph that's been retreated many times accompanied by pretty angry comments the antigovernment fighter was described as holding a child's toy monkey as if it was a trophy although sometimes it turns out that an image doesn't tell the whole story . now we're getting reports that international experts are starting to arrive at the scene of the malaysian plane crash in eastern ukraine we believe the dutch
11:08 am
investigators are already at the scene while the colleagues from malaysia have started to iran been done yes the investigation efforts have been shrouded by concerns over safety and claims that vital evidence is being tampered with let's get the details from culture if he's following the situation live out thanks for joining us so any progress then in terms of the international investigation that of course the leaders around the world have been calling for. we are now into our fifth day after the plane crash took place here in the nets region and just now investigators are beginning to arrive the per the first person i've seen was a dutch forensics expert who arrived in the city of torres about said that's a kilometer away from here to a place where recovered bodies all life from age seventeen have been stored in a refrigerated train cars now the dutch forensics experts said that say he was
11:09 am
satisfied with how the bodies are stored they're stored in a suitable environments and of course before there was quite a bit of controversy about the recovery of these bodies because these self-proclaimed defense forces had been urged not to touch them at all but they felt that they have a moral responsibilities of the victims'. families and we are in the thirty degree heat out here saw the bodies began to decompose quite rapidly there was also a scare off of wild animals to begin picking at them so he said he's satisfied with the way they're stored the bodies will now apparently be moved to a different location from the city of saurez. so occasion which will be suitable for a technical for forensic examination and that location will be beyond the territory controlled by the self-proclaimed defense forces so as to the aviation experts there yet so right here at the scene of the crash we believe that's the malaysian
11:10 am
aviation experts will be coming here quiet soon we will be camped out here until they do get here will try and speak to them try and get there in the shoals reaction meanwhile of course the always see are continuing their monitoring mission here as well they are present travel with the experts as well and in regards to what had been found here on the scene already the leader of the self-proclaimed donetsk people's republic claims that they recovered the second tical elements that resemble black boxes of the seventeen flights and now these technical elements are now in the his position on their guard and those elements so will be handed to the international experts as soon as they arrive. ok thank you to your mind culture of reporting from the crash scene. british prime minister david cameron has just spoken in paul event about the plane crash the school to more sanctions against
11:11 am
russia live to london speak to our correspondent. ali good evening to you so what else did the prime minister have to say. well he pointed the finger of blame squarely at the rebels in eastern ukraine he also accused russia of supplying weapons and training for them now he also said that no one saying that wanted that plane to be shot down in the rebels probably didn't want it shot down either but he accused moscow of of amending the conflict in ukraine rather than trying to cattail it he said that the tragedy presents what he called a defining moment for russia and vladimir putin he said now faces a choice a clear choice where either he stops supporting the rebels in eastern ukraine and tries to help to bring the conflict to an end or if that doesn't happen well then the u.k. germany and france intend to put pressure on their european partners in order to
11:12 am
ramp up sanctions against russia when asked about what type of sanctions he meant when he said he was speaking about three sanctions which means sanctions that are aimed at entire industries and organizations also about stopping military sales to russia is something that britain has already done but he was talking about other european countries following suit and doing the same as well so stand words from the prime minister there and we're going to be hearing him discuss the issue father in brussels with european ministers tomorrow. ok thank you to our correspondent bullyboy reporting from london. the u.k. prime minister is among the strongest advocates for sanctions against moscow proposing a ban on defense exports to russia we discussed that issue with british labor
11:13 am
politician in the former mayor of london ken livingstone who believes that actually very little public support for such an idea. you can then blame president putin if he sees a bit of a mess going on there this is an absolute tragedy by pretty is not something planned and plotted by putin and that's the line being dished out from washington and the british government and i have to tell you want whilst people in russia may be looking and news papers now t.v. broadcasts and thinking there is great down here there is no mood in britain or i suspect anywhere in europe for escalating sanctions because it would simply tip the european economy back into recession and there's no evidence to suggest that this is anything other than a tragic error by people that should have known better in the meantime ukraine's army has unleashed heavy artillery fire on the city of done yet with unconfirmed reports saying five civilians are being killed local militia groups say army tanks
11:14 am
are trying to break through their checkpoints heavy shelling was reported near the city's main railway station with some reports suggesting that the army is using ground rocket systems now this video from donetsk is emerged online showing at least three people lying on the ground judging by the craters nearby they were apparently caught in deadly fire self defense forces earlier advised residents to stay indoors. but i know no one did. know i don't know why. what did you do. and this cell phone video was shot by a lake just north of done yet several families with children who'd been relaxing there rushed for shelter after explosions went off on the other side of the lake the ukrainian army denies that it's been shelling the city but images posted online show a different picture. come going to
11:15 am
probably work much sooner. we're going to. know what a. worm with three year got. to do. with what. these pitches are from done yet screeches ukraine's fifth largest city it has a large population in several european capitals amsterdam lisbon or dublin for example is also a major industrial hub and is also home to one of ukraine's most popular football
11:16 am
clubs thirty. c. trains president petro poroshenko has ordered a host of all combat operations in areas need the flight seventeen crash site however kiev shapes a stepping up their offensive against nearby anti-government strongholds in the lugansk region allowing the excuse me we're going to interrupt they snap because u.s. president barack obama is about to deliver a statement on the situation relating to ukraine let's have a listen in on all attacks from hamas. and as a result of its operations israel has already done significant damage to a mouse's terrorist infrastructure in gaza. i've also said however that we have serious concerns about the rising number of palestinian civilian deaths and the loss of israeli lives. and that is why it now has to be our focus and the focus the international community to bring about
11:17 am
a cease fire that ends the fighting and that can stop the deaths of innocent civilians both in gaza and in israel so secretary kerry will meet with allies and partners i've instructed him to push for an immediate cessation of its hostilities based on a return to the november two thousand and twelve cease fire agreement between israel and hamas in gaza the work will not be easy. obviously there are enormous passions involved in this and some very difficult strategic issues involved nevertheless i've asked john to do everything he can to help facilitate a sation to hostilities we don't want to see anymore civilians getting killed with respect to ukraine it's now been four days sence malaysian airlines flight seventeen was shot down over territory controlled by russian backed separatists in
11:18 am
ukraine over the last several days our hearts have been absolutely broken as we've learned more about the extraordinary and and beautiful lives that were lost men. women and children. and infants who were killed so suddenly and so senseless. our thoughts and prayers continue to be with their families around the world who are going through just unimaginable grief i've had the opportunity to speak to a number of. leaders around the world whose citizens were lost on this flight and all of them remain in a state of shock but frankly also in a state of outrage. our media focus is on recovering those who were lost investigating exactly what happened and putting forward the facts. we have to make sure that the truth is out and that
11:19 am
accountability exists now international investigators are on the ground they have been organized i've sent teams other countries have sent teams. they are prepared they are organized to conduct what should be the kinds of protocols and. scouring and collecting of evidence that should follow any. international incident like this and what they need right now is immediate and full access to the crash site they need to be able to conduct a prompt and full and unimpeded as well as transparent investigation and recovery personnel have to do the solemn and sacred work of recovering the remains of those who were lost. ukrainian president porch and co has declared a demilitarized zone around the crash site as i said before you have international
11:20 am
teams already in place prepared to conduct the investigation and recover the remains of those who have been lost but unfortunately the russian backed separatists who control the area continue to block the investigation they've repeatedly prevented international investigators from gaining full access to the wreckage. as investigators approached they fired their weapons into the air the separatists are removing evidence from the crash site all of which begs the question what exactly are they trying to hide. moreover these russian backed separatists are removing bodies from the crash site. often times without the care that we would normally expect from a tragedy like this and this is an insult to those who've lost loved ones. is the kind of behavior that has no place. in the community of nations. now russia has extraordinary influence over the separatists no one denies that russia
11:21 am
has earned its urge them on russia has trained them we know that russia has armed them with military equipment and weapons including anti-aircraft weapons key separatist leaders are russian citizens. so given its direct influence over the separatists. russia and president putin in particular has direct responsibility to compel them to cooperate with the investigation that is the least that they can do. president putin says that he supports a full and fair investigation and i appreciate those words but they have to be supported by actions. the burden now is on russia to insist that the separatists stop tampering with the evidence grant investigators who are already on the ground immediate full and unimpeded access to the crash site the separatists and the
11:22 am
russian sponsors are responsible for the safety of the investigators doing their work and along with our allies and partners we will be working this issue at the united nations today. more broadly as i've said throughout this crisis. and the crisis in ukraine generally and i've said this directly to president putin as well as publicly my preference continues to be finding a diplomatic resolution within ukraine. i believe that can still happen. that is my preference today and will continue to be my preference but if russia continues to violate ukraine's sovereignty and the back the separatists and the separatists become more and more dangerous and now are risks not simply to the people inside of ukraine but the broader international community that russia will only further isolate itself from the international community and the costs for russia's behavior will only continue to increase. now is a time for president putin and russia. to pivot away from the strategy that they've
11:23 am
been taking. and get serious about trying to resolve hostilities within ukraine in a way that respects ukraine's sovereignty and respects the right of the ukrainian people to make their own decisions about their own lives. and time is of the essence our friends and allies need to be able to recover those who were lost that's the least we can do as the least that decency demands. families deserve to be able to lay their loved ones to rest with dignity. the world deserves to know exactly what happened. and the people of ukraine deserve to determine their own future thanks. thank you for other actors the freshness of how. i was president obama speaking live from washington really just reiterating his demand for that to be opened an independent investigation of the crash site and calling on russia once again to help facilitate that ok we can take

to notice. faces change the world writes never. so picture of today's leaves my own designs from around the globe. dropped. to fifty. welcome back let's return to our breaking news this hour in r.t. the russian defense ministry has announced it detected a second plane at the time and place of the malaysia airlines crash which appeared to be a fighter jet official say that keer claims that there were no military aircraft in the area are clearly false soon after she swore at five twenty one pm and thirty five seconds another mark of an aircraft appeared at the point of the boeing crash this aircraft was steadily monitored by radar station didn't ask and due to an sky
11:26 am
during the next four minutes having spotted the jets in air traffic controller failed to identify it as the aircraft most probably didn't out for self identification system which is characteristic of military aircraft also russia's defense minister is really subtle light images of ukrainian book rocket launches in the area of the crash and says they spotted increased activity of ukrainian radars on the day of the tragedy officials say that the plane's route in the alleged location where it was hit would have been within the range of those anti-aircraft missiles so i thought images show on the day after the crash one of the defense systems had left the area. they stay with us here on our table of the very latest of days on the situations both in ukraine and in gaza at the top of the hour. sophie shevardnadze i'll be talking to an afghan prisoner of war turned taliban bodyguards.

in florida the debate over whether illegal immigrants should be able to get driver's licenses is heating up one group called the living with angels says that they should be allowed behind the wheel to support this view they use a classic argument that comes up a lot in the media they say that not a lot of people for it are legal so if you're not legal you can't ever driver's license what's with that this is like when people say well we should legalize drugs because people use them anyway or we should legalize prostitution because people will do it anyway so such i think they mean that it's everyone comes here illegally anyways we may as well let them drive so if enough people do something we currently consider illegal does that make it ok maybe sometimes but in the case of illegal immigration rolling out the red carpet for people to come to
11:28 am
a nation illegally just empowers more people to come and it certainly spits in the face of locals and legal immigrants who do obey the rules of bureaucracy so here i would say no to driver's licenses for illegals in florida yeah there might be millions of them in the usa but that doesn't justify society bending over to make their lives comfortable if you want to drive in america be born american or become one the legal way but that's just my opinion. or without and with no pre-determined exit strategy israel's most recent invasion of gaza could last for months the humanitarian catastrophe for the palestinians is incalculable. all this in advance israel's security is unclear.
11:29 am
but i welcome to. not simply what happens when you find yourself at war at a very young age because of the strength was that teenage record when he was captured by the mujahideen in afghanistan ended up spending twelve years in war torn country serving as a personal bodyguard of the most powerful anti taliban leader ahmad shah massoud how did he go from captive to brother in arms what made him go native and why did he come home to russia years later well nic i was struck just here in the studio to tell us his personal story. twenty five years ago the troops who have to go to the store some soldiers or whatever stayed behind. in the forum are unsure of who is friend or foe. to were.
