do you think this kind of language is making matters worse. i think that one of the really big things to realize here is that language is fine language is a part of the marketplace of ideas and sometimes your ideas are going to fail if your language is provocative people might reject it if your language is out of touch with what most voters believe in what most people believe which is what we're seeing from both the left and the right you're going to lose in the marketplace of ideas and that's fine what we believe is not fine as a libertarian is that is not fine that when your ideas fail to try to use violence to rescue them and that's what we're seeing here we're seeing two sides that have ideologies that people simply do not want that are both fighting over who has the worst ideology and the problem is that they're resorting to violence but we have that we have been seeing a lot of violence as you've been saying over the past couple of weeks with in the

wake of charlottesville and the tragic events that unfolded and obviously lots of people calling for removal of confederate statues and the arguments that ensue from that well as you see all of this heading. right now we're going to see american politics go in one of two directions the direction that i hope it goes in is a deep projection of violence in politics and i mean that both in terms of violence within american politics and also an end to the vile the example of violence that the government is currently setting i believe that a lot of the normalize the ssion of violence that we're seeing is happening because even at the government level we're seeing situation with the government settled its disputes with violence that there's a dispute with the islamic world is settling with violence if there's a dispute with drugs and all that with violence and that example needs to change so one possibility will be a wholesale rejection of violence at the personal level and at the governmental level and that would be an incredible opportunity for american growth but the other
