america we begin today with the war of words between the u.s. and north korea today that country's foreign minister accused the u.s. of declaring war on north korea the white house just announced that calling it absurd or not the tough talk is escalating here's our teeth came up and now it's important to note that the foreign minister who made the comments regarding u.s. aircraft was responding to an earlier statement from u.s. president donald trump on twitter in twitter in his twitter statement donald trump had said that north korea's leader quote is not going to be around much longer and so we now have this response from north korea's foreign minister now in response to the statement from the north korean foreign minister about the shooting down of airplanes we now have a response from the pentagon the pentagon is saying if north korea does not stop their provocative actions we will provide the president with options now there has not yet been an official response from the white house the white house.

spokesperson said there was not an official response but that's not going to stop donald trump from getting on twitter and the whole world is probably expecting donald trump to continue this war of words on social media let's take a listen to what's already gone on between the north koreans and donald the united states has great strength and patients but if it is forced to defend itself words allies we will have no choice but to totally destroy north korea. rocket. is going to suicide mission for him so and for his regime. kind of measure will be taken decided by the chairman of the state the fears commission. but i think that the strongest ever hundreds might be tested in the pacific. where this month north korea tested its first hydrogen bomb a new level of nuclear weapon and now they are threatening to test another one but this time to test the hydrogen bomb in the pacific ocean so the question remains

what will the united states do if north korea indeed does carry out their test of a hydrogen bomb in the pacific ocean now from the beginning of this crisis russia and china have proposed a double freeze to deescalate the situation on the peninsula they've proposed that north korea freeze its nuclear proliferation as well as its provocative missile tests in exchange for south korea and freezing their provocative military drills and getting rid of the fat missile system which is a the terminal high altitude defense system which is a strike enabling missile system the united states has erected in south korea so questions are being raised as to why this this proposal for a double freeze and a deescalation in the resumption of negotiations is not being taken seriously meanwhile we see this war of words escalating and many people are wondering could this end up with a very very dangerous situation resulting in what's now a very heated exchange of comments from the leaders of two countries and for more on the latest unfolding with the u.s.

and north korea we turn now to john the ford editor at new york watch quarterly so now in the eyes of north korea's foreign minister president trump has declared war on his country which he hasn't the white house called that absurd and today in new york the foreign minister told reporters that kim jong un's military would consider shooting down american bombers let's take a lesson. the u.s. has made a declaration of war we will have. right countermeasure losing the right to shoot down the united states strategic bombers even if they do not come into our airspace well the question of who won't be around much longer will be answered then is how he ended the news conference do you see this as inflammatory when official war indeed has not been declared oh yes of course it's inflammatory but it's on the part of north korea a little bit like the most roaring up at the lion. the north koreans are incapable

of attacking the united states in any way except perhaps defensively when the u.s. bombers and fighter jets. buzzed the coastline or the demilitarized zone between the north and the south. north koreans do have a lot of bluster they like to talk big it's the united states however that simultaneously now bombing seven sovereign states in the middle east and it's the united states that it's that has invaded in occupied iraq and afghanistan and in the eyes of the north koreans they have to consider iraqi direct was deconstructed and then destroyed afterwards after it was completely denuclearized by the united states and the u.n. sanctions libya likewise was denuclearize voluntarily and then it was attacked by the united states. yes north korea itself was burned to the ground in between one

the next country's government has also been at odds with the trumpet ministration according to the latest order from the white house venezuela's government is uncooperative in verifying whether its citizens pose national security or public safety threats trump says it also fails to adequately share terrorism related information but because there are alternative sources to verify citizenship and the identity of venezuela nationals the visa restrictions the us has imposed focus on government officials of venezuela who trump says are responsible for these security inadequacies he's talking about so that prevents officials and immediate family members from getting business and tourist visas now the third edition is chad an african country just south of libya which is also on the list trump says chad is an important and valuable counterterrorism partner of the united states but that it does not adequately share public safety and terrorism related information there for entry into the united states of nationals of chad on business and tourist visas is here by suspended until that can be resolved last we have sudan which was dropped

right in there may be you know maybe some of us laymen might say well what about this country or that country but putting north korea and venezuela and i'm not saying it was political because the reasons are spelled out but one of the things that it does is that all of a sudden it's not just a list of most majority muslim countries you have north korea which is basically you know atheist country are buddhists and they're certainly not a muslim country and venezuela is eighty percent eighty five percent christian so it puts a hole in the. the argument of the detractors of the court in fact and now there's been a lot of controversy in the iraqi community as many iraqi christians voted for the president yet they were being subject to the ban but now this new travel ban isn't holding them to the same restrictions but the bill says that they will still be quote subject to additional scrutiny so what do you think changed here. well i again i think it's the research every country involved every country that's

suffering repercussions here there's an explanation that goes with that even for chad as was alluded to in the report who has been very cooperative on the in the war on terror but basically speaking it's just that they don't know enough basically to satisfy us that they could tell us who's getting on those planes and that's that's that goes for every country if you can't tell us who's getting on the planes and convince us that you know enough and you have a system in place to to prevent the bad guys from coming here you're going to find yourself on that list now you're right there's different restrictions in place now that it's softened a bit and absolutely when the president talked about in the past allowing christians in and what about iraqi christians what about christians from other countries then he was accused of favoring christians so he can't win on that note so i think i think this is a permanent ban it's not temporary it's been done with great thought and care and

study and vetting of each country there's an explanation for each one i think the courts are going to have a tough time acquiescing to the radical left in this country who is going to want to see it overturned immediately and steve you know you alluded to this that many have called the president's travel ban a muslim ban but i mean now he traveled throughout the middle east very early on in his presidency to show that he supports allies whether they're muslim or not do you think people still see this as a so-called muslim banner oh yeah the a.c.l.u. and other groups and i don't i don't know it was the a.c.l.u. press release i read but they're saying this is still a muslim band it's just the skies by throwing north korea in venezuela it's to muddy the waters which is absolutely ridiculous now of course the courts we have many states attorneys generals that are also speaking out against this along with the a.c.l.u. it's only a matter of time before they claim it's a must. claim it's unconstitutional and send it right back to the court so this is

not over yet unfortunately and you know you mentioned about chan chad being on the list when they have in fact cooperated in the fight against boko herat so even somebody like that do you think this travel ban is going to make people feel safer when they are getting on the plane or just arriving at the airport. i think yes because of all the work that went into it and you take a country like chad which on the surface as the president alluded to in his statement which was read in the previous report here they've cooperated with terror against boko haram they've staged military exercises with they've been conjunction with u.s. allies against terror so they're there they're doing their job they're just not sophisticated enough according to the state department or the d h s and their guidelines and their requirements to to not be on the list and let me let me give you one warning also as far as if we look ahead to court challenges here you're probably going to have a lot of the same judges who ruled against the travel ban number one and number two

island is completely without power which could linger on for months federal aid began making its way into puerto rico saturday the island's main port opened up enabling eleven ships to bring in one point six million gallons of water twenty three thousand cots dozens of generators and food well dozens of more shipments are expected in the coming days many are wondering why more isn't being done faster to bring relief to those left completely devastated for more let's bring in camillo marcos member of the puerto rican nationalist party in new york thanks so much for joining us now camilo you're puerto rican a second generation actually born here in the u.s. and we're all so glad first off to hear that your family is ok over there despite the current conditions but you're now working with a few organizations in new york to said help over there what are you doing and who are you working with. so helping. working with michael to sense the

bronx. a community organization close organization and then have a box in. the relief effort started with some people from there and some people from the bottom from the sun and conservation and we came together because we thought that we knew that water was good the need help that was actually started for hurricane irma and since hurricane maria you know the. it has intensified and. and it's just become a big network of a lot of organizations reaching out to us and in the my. face is this enormous station. and they are gathering because some are holding it and some of bringing my or ship them there is a real community collaborative grassroots effort that we have that's i see that

you're all working together and that way and now we know that major league baseball is donating one million dollars to puerto rico jennifer lopez announced that she's also donating one million dollars as well for the relief efforts in puerto rico in your eyes still is and not being done do you think more people are interested in politics at this point or are the well being of people last somewhat stranded in puerto rico. i don't think enough is being done this communities that are devastated isolated and they haven't been reached out so. they say this team is out there. and word that. some of the nation that is being. gathered from especially a big leads as you mentioned are going to visit women i'm not sure how efficient they are. at distributing that actually i don't believe that will be

a question at all. but we what we want to do is get our a sending that to slaughter legal and we want to get into the hands of people that have been active in the community. and we're. not government agencies or corporate went to see an interesting point that it might take a little while if they're just going to the government giving that money versus just actually put it in the hands of the people and so a federal board overseeing the territories finances they authorized up to one billion dollars in local funds for the hurricane response however the governor said that of course the asking for more and practically doesn't want to collect any taxes next month so what are your thoughts on the governor's response here. the fact that he has acted control board for more is. supposedly the governor of puerto rico then you have the case. that is needed. this so

also the question of. what get have is or to rebuild going to. i have to pay that is this is going to be accumulated into what they consider to be that which is actually the u.s. that they're imposing on for a week and. i don't. i'm not. pressure and some of my colleagues they've i've been in touch with they've mentioned that the people there with money have armed bodyguards and generators and are in the same situation as those in the shelters i don't all have running water or a flushing toilet for that matter do you think the looting and crime will increase if more assistance isn't brought forth so when when the government has announced that they bungled open up or what he said was always going to let the wal-mart

hospital. kmart and all of those bring in first which is just saying ok we're going to have the market open again so that people by bus. which is it should be a back in first. and there isn't a bank so the only people with cash that they can buy stuff that shelters me at the shelters have been complaining that this is running out of food and they need food . you know immediately they need water immediately they need center city products immediately and that should be a ferrari certainly and they're reportedly some three hundred families in harm's way due to the significant damage of the dam in northwest puerto rico and hospitals around capacity do you think more resources will make it in time. we were pushing pushing we were working on what we were capable i don't have too

much confidence in what the government is capable of they need to suspend the colonial laws that have a posh law the maritime law. by defining it's a law that says only the u.s. ships can dock in puerto rico they have to suspend that and they really have to get rid of that because they can't come from other countries now they have. just announced these restrictions venice what they've been it's what it has been the one giving aid. hurricane relief to the other through the you know i know they came for them equal and we can send now or you can send people over there to get medical send if we can send people since june but to get medical attention when i was was at the other hurricane they sent the people up there sending some people to refill and some people who. but right now we are affected by

a hurricane we can't send people to get medical attention if you will can't sense that there's to us. the capital and the other colonial restrictions have to happen but. they're pretty we're running for on time but just quickly i want to ask you even before maria devastated the island puerto rico has been in some financial trouble as you alluded to for a while seventy three billion dollar debt left the agencies like the state power company next to broken as a result of that basic maintenance it was almost an away with leaving the island subject to regular blackouts but now that power is basically absent unless one has a generator up and running of course how long do you think it'll be and tell some normalcy is were stored there that it's really hard to gauge. i honestly wouldn't know how to answer that that far how long it would say. something that they should be working floors immediately because it's concerning to

a significant injury to his head. well sampson is slated to appear in court this wednesday and has been charged with one count of murder in the first degree. and the los angeles police department is facing another lawsuit over allegations of excessive use of force over the summer a young man was fatally shot by l.a.p.d. officers and then run over by their vehicle his parents are now seeking justice calling on the district attorney to file criminal charges against the officers artie's because santos has the story from los angeles back in june l.a.p.d. officers shot twenty year old eric rivera while responding to reports of an armed man in the neighborhood of wilmington now according to an l.a.p.d. press release quote when the officers arrived at the observed a lone hispanic male in his mid twenty's believing this may be the suspect they directed their attention toward him and there was an officer involved shooting the officers have been identified as archer zero rukia and daniel ramirez rivera's family attorney told reporters that the officers were in such

take our seats in the bundesliga we'll be on the government when it comes to major issues particular trait the greens on going to get on side with trade major trade deals that angela merkel wants to put in place when it comes to greece the free democrats aren't going to agree to any kind of of the bailout so that is where the financing the. the real nitty gritty of talks is going on at the moment to try and find a solution to that now we heard from christie and linda just a few moments ago who is the leader all the free democrats no he hasn't ruled out that his party may be the opposition vote he has said that these two make a coalition talks. so the talks are under way i would expect it's going to be more a case of weeks as opposed to days that we're going to see before this and it may even run into months yes the necessity isn't it to sort of kind of get on with people you don't necessarily like for a lot of people understand if they just think about perhaps christmas with the but

the peak about a year in office there but of course vote numbers for the f.t. have very much increased in the east germany's germany the a.f.d. have all the second largest party in fact in saxony in dress than where we are now right in the center of the city they are all halmos with the c.d.u. they've taken a lot of votes of the mainstream parties gathering millions more votes is in fact among many young voters they are the biggest party here in saxony as well there's no trouble for now as you can see it's mainly speeches and music and of course the counter protests taking place just here tomorrow right as well the police have it well under control but it is symbolic really of the division less on the lawn right now the german political landscape i don't think anybody quite expected how much how many seats the a.f.d. would gain of course a of the in brigade of the two separate organizations but from people we've spoken to here. today it's very obvious where these people's political allegiances loyd

they have expressed hostility towards merkel towards european policies but people here are very much euro skeptic and very much against open door refugee policy so all quiet for now here in dresden but as you can see the numbers have risen over the last hour or so with the protesters here. left wing maybe some anarchists present as well judging by the black and red flags on the hoods facing off against the piggy to protesters on the left here who just chanting. yes it was just sean saying. to get these protesters to move away if there's any developments of course we'll get back to you and keep you updated as to what's going on. i mean human rights watch report has accused the u.s. led coalition after killing at least eighty four civilians near the syrian city of raka including thirty children in march. of reports from syria.
