conversation with max. max thank you for doing me good to be with you good to have you here so we're going to die we're going to get through a lot of stuff you've been talking about how america's views on russia and north korea have basically flipped or changed a lot over the past two years talk a little about that and also does that basically just prove what we kind of know about manufacturing of consent with our corporate media yeah i mean we've seen a disturbing series of polls through the chicago council for global affairs. that were first released this summer and they continue kind of tumbling out and these polls you know this this institute has been conducting these kinds of public opinion polls for two years and what they show is that on north korea seventy five percent of americans including seventy five percent of democrats believe north korea is a critical threat to america to the american homeland those numbers are up fifteen percent since two thousand and fifteen fifteen percent more americans than ever

before since two thousand and fifteen support military action against north korea to protect south korea and then even more shocking is for the first time a majority of americans would favor according to these polls sending u.s. troops to fight and die for latvia against russia you're never like the neo con victoria nuland who's married to robert kagan from the incestuousness con kagan family she said in two thousand and fourteen americans will fight and die for latvia and that was wishful thinking at the time but since then these attitudes have basically been cultivated consent has been manufactured for what would be nothing short of a nuclear disaster really either case i mean you're going to see millions of people die and how did this happen i just think one of the giveaways in the polls is that way more democrats i mean we're talking about it rates of ten percent higher more than independents republicans and. look ins favor these militaristic policies

interventionist narrative well that's a good segue into the continued neo mccarthyism the russians out to get us narrative being pushed by the corporate media the latest talking points is that rush got from elected by family is facebook advertising here to talk a little of that it you know just facebook brought us trump via these russian ads well we're interfering right now just by being here i mean anything is interference now i mean how can you quantify these ads what are these ads we watched today the senate intelligence committee mark warner and richard burr on the republican side declare that these ads were sort of potentially decisive we've seen reports from their media lapdogs who are getting leaks of the details of the contents of these ads that we can't see the ads and they say that for example fake facebook accounts that promoted this is dylan byers. and c.n.n.

he said that fake facebook accounts that promoted protests in baltimore and ferguson against police brutality were designed by russian operatives to undermine democracy which means that black lives matter is effectively undermining democracy i think those protests are fundamentally democratic you saw another report about one of the ads that showed a black woman with a gun and it was designed according to the cancun aggression investigators to sow racial division and chaos so any image of a black woman with a gun which upsets white people is designed by russia to sow division and so just don't show any black women and the idea that a movement to stop unarmed black people from being murdered in the streets by our police is there for a movement to bring down america i mean that basically is saying that america is defined by our. kill unarmed black people or with our police but also you fill in the numbers of the percentage of ads that like when even before

the election according to facebook's own statistics which they provided to congress fifty six percent of the ads appeared after the election so i don't know if there's some time travel machine but there's a time travel machine but there's no way that they could have affected the election then twenty five percent of the ads were never seen by anyone and a majority of the ads or never deployed in swing states then we've actually seen reports that some of the ads were related to puppies they simply contain images of puppies what it seems to me to be that what this looks like to me is a russian troll farm in st petersburg or something that may have been paid by a private client who was using hot button political issues along with poppy images and other things we haven't seen to generate clicks from niche audiences and this is how facebook sells its ads there is no evidence whatsoever of russian operatives pushing. any clear ideological line which is why we hear this narrative of sowing

chaos because the ads are all over the place and that's the only way they can justify this narrative and then the other point i would make is that we have heard this narrative before about russian collusion and the black and black equal rights movements i mean we heard about it in the fifty's and sixty's when we used to destroy paul robeson who was one of the greatest human beings that this country ever produced and it was used to attempt to destroy martin luther king who was accused of colluding with the soviet union and this is what justified f.b.i. surveillance i am sure that this narrative will be used to heighten the surveillance of dissident movements like black lives matter and you know people who are involved in that movement better see this for what it is before it's too late. yeah i mean this is being used in so many ways this is this is mccarthyism want to whine you take something you don't like and you just say it's attached to russia you know and if occupy were going on right now that would surely be
