a lot on social networks you can see that there's one person remaining laying on the ground it's ideas that's probably the man who carried out the attack in the first place and the police commissioner has said that the suspect is twenty seven year old. it looks like he is a former resident of brooklyn now like i said he's twenty seven year old twenty seven years old and the new york governor said that he had an improvised low tech. device that was attached to his body and so that he intentionally exploded it in the new york metro and of course he was saying that just the idea of getting that call at seven twenty in the morning on a monday morning when everyone's trying to get to work and that's a huge hall in new york city that was just sort of the worst nightmare the idea that there was an explosion there and sadly this turns out to be the best case scenario in the worst case situation where only three. other people were injured

minor injuries they are being treated at hospitals local hospitals as well and you can and as you say i mean looking at the situation by the statement that's been released that that the suspect sustained minor injuries they were strapped to him three people who presumably close to him that were also they suffered minor injuries as well so in looking at this sort of this major scale operation we as i said we saw all the emergency vehicles we could see the police presence we've had for most of the as well the governor of new york in many ways as you said this was the best case scenario in the lead up to christmas at a very heightened political time yes the new york governor did mention that this was a low tech improvised device so clearly this was planned ahead but maybe not planned as well as could have been which we can all be thankful for that it did not there weren't a number of fatalities or anything so at this point the port authority bus station has here opened already and the metro is trying to get back to normal operation

right after the incident took place there was a number of metro stations that were completely evacuated and that bus terminal had been shut down just for the safety of all involved and everyone was of course urging people to stay away from the area but the new york mayor did say that it looks like one individual by himself an isolated event but of course the new york police department will be all over the city today just trying to make sure that there is nothing else to be afraid of and to secure all major sites in the city and it looks like after everything that we've we've heard about today life seems to be getting back to normal in new york which we could be thankful when leave it there thank you and we'll be back with more news at the top of the hour. so there's no those all important as a person but he is important as far as is living would
