3:30 am
and then an investigation ensued and the nixon white house tried to recruit the f.b.i. to do dirty tricks to fix things to make the coverup go away etc etc now we have this situation in washington where it's the f.b.i. that seems to be driving what's going on here russia gate has lost a lot of steam we can still have the innuendos and the rumors and the leak but it hasn't amounted to anything but day after day it looks like the f.b.i. is where the real problem is kevin go ahead. yes the real concern here is it appears that there's been a weaponization of the secret intelligence agencies in this case specifically f.b.i. counterintelligence and the very huge concern here is it appears that f.b.i. management colluded in f.b.i. agents actually swore false have a davids to the pfizer core to the visor court judges which resulted in n.s.a.
3:31 am
surveillance of a presidential campaign a transition team that is very serious ok well it's called the fruit of the poison tree daniel in washington here. is there a real crisis going on here i mean this is the premier. law enforcement agency in the united states certainly maybe even in the whole world here. are these people that can be trusted last e-mail's counter-intelligence is supposed to be watching e-mails and they lose their own i mean i'm sorry it is hard for me to believe that go ahead in washington yet absolutely we have a few answers to this question one is the f.b.i. in specific since herbert hoover and that movie that was portrayed on him to call me the f.b.i. has been a political institution great agents that work there and some that have left there but in the bureaucracy and the leadership it has been known as a political weapon and has been utilized look at bill clinton spec ground as well i
3:32 am
mean it's a lot of very recent history where it's continued to be used in the way it is but yes we do right now have a constitutional crisis where devon noone is many of the other congressmen and house homeland security committee chairman ron johnson and his statements yesterday they have woken up to the fact of the flagrant abuse weaponization and politicization of this institution and it creates a very dangerous precedent because this goes back to a hoover style. yeah. you know and the way that they're doing things and being able to as kevin just said surveil a candidate and surveil a transition team under false pretenses missing text messages come on there's no such thing i could recover my own if i deleted them tomorrow so this is just beyond the pale granite of the annual in lake jackson we have j.
3:33 am
edgar komi i think is the new movie that's going to be made here. you know where it's very troubling is that peter struck you know he's kind of the premier character in all of this right now i mean the hillary emails and then we have the flynn interrogation eccentrics letter he still has his job why why why isn't he on leave why isn't he gone in front of a. place legal you know complicated implications of what he's done i mean there is none of it at all but we don't even hear from him go ahead. well this goes back to the the whole problem with the f.b.i. in the poorest place remember when it was first formed the first thing it did is started spying on anti-war people in the early part of the twentieth century and putting them to jail f.b.i. agents do what if the rest of us did it we would be sent to jail and that's the core problem and blundering and losing losing evidence is nothing new
3:34 am
a look at the collection bundy case in in the western part of the united states they absolutely obstructed justice they got rid of evidence to exonerate them and they were found to doing the same thing happened if you remember a few years ago in ruby ridge in waco under president clinton this is part and parcel of what the f.b.i. does this is the danger of having an organization like the f.b.i. national police force kind of a stasi for the united states so it really is nothing new but what they do the rest of us would be thrown in jail if we did it kevin what is jeff sessions doing i mean is he perpetually on vacation or are maybe maybe we don't know maybe he is already called some special investigations he's not obligated to tell the public that he's doing that america act he really can't ok but i really have to wonder i mean you know there is so many of these things you know we want to find out there is donald
3:35 am
trump in the white house there's jeff sessions at the department of justice they can release any documents they want what's going on explain it haven't. well you know peter i was in counterintelligence with the cia and we were daily with the f.b.i. and at the lower levels our work with them actually fantastic f.b.i. agents but at the upper levels i can tell you we saw constant politicization by f.b.i. supervisors even leaking information to the press on cases that we had but up to attorney general sessions one thing we did learn about the f.b.i. it was kind of frustrating it will take them or year or years to investigate a case just move in plodding along dotting every i crossing every t. i think a sessions is just being careful slow and really meticulous in what he's doing it's frustrating they're not going to come out and say things that will get sessions or others in trouble until they have things solidified so although it's kind of
3:36 am
frustrating and i hear all the time people are are wondering about sessions but their silence does not necessarily mean that there's a bad thing going on it could just mean that trump and sessions are building a solid irrefutable case ok well daniel in washington you think that cases against jim comi read a lynch samantha power i mean in these types of people here because it appears that they have their fingerprints all over this and then we can talk about the entire history of the quote unquote russia da ca ok which is a whole different the need to go down go ahead daniel in washington i think the problem i kind of disagree on the attorney general sessions part ok he has not been effective he has not been a good leader and he has not done which is unprecedented when you have a change of party you get rid of all of the institutional employees and you bring in your own people this has obama attorneys working all throughout this institution
3:37 am
he brings rod rosenstein in and also you know recuses himself instead of proactively addressing the administration on this and. your special counsel investigation and addition to that he's the white house is not known as a well run machine right now they do not have their act together internally and this is you can see it and state department d o d so many other places that really need white house direction but i find that turning general sessions is not doing his job effectively you mentioned a let me of things that he should be speaking about at least addressing and hiring and directing and he's just not doing it and i think that was you know a poor choice to have him in that position and if we had rudy giuliani right now you know you have a completely innocent situation and absolutely in the department of justice it daniel in lake jackson. is you know one of the things that we're witnessing right
3:38 am
now and i think is the real dilemma is that you have this entire how many people in the highest elmo of the f.b.i. that appear to be in collusion from what we know let's be careful here and then you have this special in but you have a special prosecutor and juxtapose both of them here i mean it mother comes out with something you know and it's accusatory inflammatory there's going to be a lot of people and i'm going to be one of them going to say but what about investigating the investigators you see the kind of deadlock this is going to create and i think that's another real crisis that the country is facing there's no confidence in the probe i mean of course you would hear that on c.n.n. an embassy busy i mean the junk that they spew is extraordinary but the rest of the country is listening and wondering what's going on is there a crisis here go ahead. well i wonder how many of the rest of us i'm sure peter you
3:39 am
feel the same way are wondering about the mole or investigation where is russia. was talking we should remember this is all about. well i'd say and eli and his campaign team please forgive me i forgot all about that ok you're right go ahead. you're supposed to you're supposed to just just relax you'll be ok listen to c.n.n. no no we're not talking if this was a very very limited investigation of whether the trump campaign and trump himself colluded with russia whether five or six years ago president putin woke up one morning and said you know what i've done all trump is going to be president someday so let's set up this whole chain of events to entrap him in a way that we can manipulate him and make him our puppet this is what the whole thing was supposed to be about yeah and now we're talking about an interview with trump and ruler to talk about whether there might have been obstruction of justice when he fired komi as a previous speaker said very well he had
3:40 am
a right to fire all these people and he should have that was probably his big mistake he's all bluster and no action ok gentlemen i'm going to jump in here we're going to go to a short break and after that short break we'll continue our discussion on released a memo. oh. i played for many clubs over the years so i know the game inside. football isn't only about what happens on the pitch for the final school it's about the passion from the fans it's the age of the superman each of killian erroneous and spending two hundred twenty million and one player. it's an experience like nothing else i
3:41 am
want to do because i want to share what i think what i know about the beautiful game great so one more chance for. a nice minute. hey everybody i'm stephen ball task hollywood guy the suspect every proud american first of all i'm just george washington and r.v. i'm going to say this is my buddy max famous financial guru just a little bit different i'm honest i'm going to take on a no no when those up with all the drama happening in our country i'm shooting the road have some fun meet every day americans. and hopefully start to bridge the gap this is the great american people which.
3:42 am
oh. yes it was but it was a large couple of the stuff. up in the old muscle tension i believe will move forward slowly duncan we will all soon will but you know one of the most up in little bushes i just saw. a tiny. hand in hand due to the you know the model of the scots more with you the blue coats beliefs managed to be easy show during the q. to schedule. you almost know the abduction took place the prosecutor though i'm ashamed you can you get other counties but then you tell us maybe i'm getting this old but you're using my suspicion of us they.
3:43 am
chose seemed wrong when all the quotes just don't call. me. yet to stamp out these days to come to advocate and gain from it because betrayal. when so many find themselves worlds apart we choose to look for common ground. was. the.
3:44 am
welcome back to cross talk or all things considered i'm peter lavelle to remind you we're discussing release the memo. ok kevin let me go back to you in atlanta i guess we have another dilemma facing us here again you know there's a viewer of c.n.n. or m.s.n. b.c. if they accidently tuned into this program here they wouldn't have a clue of what we're talking about ok and i'm talking about release the memo and of course you know i'm really glad that twitter and facebook corrected the record you know it's not actually we're using the hash tag for this program right now but after facebook and twitter said it wasn't russian bots ok so i want to know we're in the clear here across the uk but kevin here this memo either is going to show you know it's good to unglue everything or it's the all time nothing burger because
3:45 am
depending on what media outlet you're watching you have what you have a choice go ahead kevin. well you know this memo could and probably will unravel the russian collusion narrative right now the memos are classified secret and unfortunately the government over uses that to conceal information from congress but i think the pressure from the public is so strong that this memo will be released congressmen and senators who have seen it come out and said that is it is a shocking abuse of power by the f.b.i. and the cia for that matter who leaked the dossier or information calling it intelligence or the memo is serious very possibly documents illegal criminal activity on the part of some f.b.i. agents we don't know whether it struck or who falsified evidence of it's to the pfizer court and you don't live to a judge that serious this memo is going to come out i'm absolutely absolutely convinced it's going to stop the entire russian narrative and it's going to turn things back on what i hope will be
3:46 am
a criminal probe into abuse of power and the uppermost levels of the f.b.i. daniel in washington would that prompt again betray my age here i could church commission or is it so polarized now that is would be impossible gentlemen i am very serious here even you know even if the evidence comes out there was incriminating evidence for the f.b.i. these people are very very powerful and the and they have the resource called the media behind them so this is the collision i'm worried about what people speculate that are in that memo memo i've been saying on this program for eighteen months so i'm not surprised ok go ahead daniel in washington. two quick points kevin i agree with that it will come out and surmountable pressure will come and there probably will be some heads that will roll because of it but as i've said on this program many times before from syria to ukraine to say sions to expansion of nato to
3:47 am
continued provocation of russia phobia from here to the e.u. to u.k. to blame russia for everything from bragg's it to war aleck. the narrative will never cease against russia and the notion collusion because we still seek to take advantage from russia over arctic mineral natural resources and that's what the crux of all this has been since two thousand and eleven so unfortunately even though this could be a huge smoking gun that narrative will not cease and there provocation and spreading that continuously you hear it every day in the halls of congress to throughout this town so that's not going to change i wish it would but it just simply won't won't daniel in tech that's a very interesting point i believe this and russia hysteria will continue irrespective ok it's not based on anything it's just a hysterical supposition that it's been inserted into public discourse here
3:48 am
but i mean it will in this kind of goes into my mantra about the media i mean when we read the memo we all will it's only four pages of we all read it very fast and we'll depending on how you look at everything you're going to come to conclusions very quickly i'm pretty sure about that but you know do you think this is what really got me got my goat for the last year how is the mainstream media going to spin this i mean are they actually going to say that oh the rip the republicans in congress are now your drum roll everybody oh they're in cahoots with the russians because that's what they're going to say all of the g.o.p. in the house is working for a lot and we are putin it's not impossible daniel go ahead and lake jackson. i agree with you on that but i tend to slightly disagree a bit with the other guests on the memo itself i believe it might be a bit of political theater this was authored by definition s. and particularly his staff on the house intelligence committee and their mess is
3:49 am
known for over selling things he's done in the past here's newness who was who had these this information in his hands he knew about the f.b.i.'s abuse of the pfizer process process yet he was one of the key members of the house of representatives demanding that we extend section seven zero two of the five the court so they can continue spying on the rest of us so his credentials on actually caring about the abuse of the fires the system here are very very suspect the other aspect of the memo the republican screaming released a memo released a memo do mike gravelle went to the floor of the senate and he read the pentagon papers into the congressional record that's how we found out what was going in vietnam so all the members that are whining and moaning about we need to release it just get your butt down to the floor and read the memo and we'll find the hear it a great idea kevin weigh in on because if it because the way it's polarized even if
3:50 am
i can use this word because it's so abused these days even if you get to the truth will the truth be conveyed because again you have these major liberal networks and news outlets they are so enamored with their own nonsense and their own vision because of their blind hatred of donald trump and rush is always so good for oil it has been a cold war all the way to the president what i'm saying is they don't have to have any kind of. anything that touches reality because the narrative is such a strong current that facts don't matter and i worry about that too go ahead kevin in atlanta. you know i agree the need this is the people's house the congress the congress and the senate they need to take this memo down to the floor i couldn't agree more and read it to the american people constitutionally that's who they serve and with the mainstream media we i think we all have to understand the mainstream media in terms of reporting the truth is essentially gone there are six
3:51 am
major corporations that control the media about twenty c.e.o.'s control the news and the editors they're connected to the wall street what some are calling the state now and also i am aware of the fact for some years that even the cia has connections and control to the media in kind of a quid pro quo relationship and sometimes the media will just parrot what the government says so the media is gone there's no question about that in a daniel should we believe the f.b.i. anymore i mean this is a crisis that a huge crisis that they're dealing with and and is it possible to clean up this the f.b.i. i mean mass firing i mean it will be the saturday night massacre or nine hundred thirty seven you know soviet union i mean it's going to be it would have to be a huge purge. yes it is possible to do and it starts with the director what christopher ray was ever and literacy in there and what is needed to this ration i have no idea what actually up to they need somebody that what. they need in an
3:52 am
attorney that was actually served in the intelligence services has a background is not tied to the bureaucracy and could go up and clean up and bring in whoever they want that would be the way to do it and that would be and it will remain an institution so you have to clean it up or they're just going to let it run amok as it has been for so many years and then as far as graduating to the special counsel we know no in spite of this memo whether it's released or not the only thing they're going to charge is either trying to trip up the president on a perjury charge from going to interview or simply money laundering and financial impropriety. to you from people like me in a fort and flint and if i were the president and advising him right now to kill the collusion story once and for all i would just advise him to say hey look at my campaign team at the end of the day if they were handed a blueprint from the russian government these guys are so incompetent they couldn't have done it on their best day and then you kill the rest of that story that's what
3:53 am
i would do i'd have to leave burbank i love that then you weigh in on that because i think that's absolutely brilliant here. you know this it's taken on a life of its own this own russia gate thing i mean you can find anything around the world that you know that you hear that they do you know russia now housing has these killer crocodiles you know and it's all pointed against america in the west not a real story it's a real story that popped up here where is this daniel where is this going to go what is this where is this going to go with the f.b.i. . well i guess i'm a little radical because i don't believe we need an f.b.i. for one hundred some years without one there is no use of having at the in the intelligence services can handle counterintelligence just fine most of the crimes that the f.b.i. is involved in are made up crimes most of the terrorism that investigates itself has been involved in fomenting so we don't need an f.b.i.
3:54 am
just of the issue of the new as i would mention one other thing and i'm sure you know this peter hamilton sixty eight the organization. association for for defending democracy bill kristol mike this is an organization funded by the u.s. government and this is the one that is following all of our hashtags and all our twitter accounts and it finds russia bots everywhere so you have collusion among the neo cons and the never trump hillary that's a perfect storm that's what's keeping this alive in a campaign i haven't in sixty eight i'm sure is a big fan of this program i'm waiting for their their next scribe to write about. kevin you've been in government here i mean what is the possibility of correcting these wrongs and these are wrongs that we only know now it seems so much more could come out go ahead. well i'm really concerned that russian crocodile is going to get donald trump that just getting it in terms of the f.b.i.
3:55 am
we know that over and over and over michael flynn is a good example that if the f.b.i. can't prove a charge like russia quote collusion they'll drum up something else their favorites are lying to investigators in the case of trump what mueller is starting to do is veer off to russia into obstruction of justice and try to get trump on an unrelated charge that's what they do they say they always get their man and they mean that even if it's an injustice to do that that's a concern will people be prosecuted it's going to be almost virtually impossible to prosecute in a way that's the way some of what some people call the deep state shadow government works it's protect its own from the top down but i'm telling you people and this is where the american people come in to demand this through their congressmen and senators they need to demand that people if there were a false sworn affidavits for five so warrants on a presidential campaign the american people need to demand not just firings or reassignments but criminal prosecution who watches the watchman who investigates the f.b.i. we've got an out of control weaponized f.b.i.
3:56 am
now something dramatically needs another about be done of that the american people need to carry on and crime would run a man that we've run out of time gentlemen i have a feeling that donald trump will be indicted for over twitter use i don't know many thanks to my guests in washington atlanta and in lake jackson and thanks to our viewers for watching us here at r.t.c. next time and remember. as you read the stand and hear some of. our own move from what i saw. on our good armor on our show for the brothers you know what are the four for medicare that.
3:57 am
i'm going to let them but i don't touch and then you cut them and keep an eye on what i have seen as a child with a truffle that it doesn't have. a lot of work then i'm on my machine little side of it does the other thing the only m.r. the. members of the hay from the innocent to it. get this whole food place choice the i knew where you're from and pay off the time in syria says. british. civil somewhere else for the name after the couple for the mr hates it for jim and then oil for food are for him and. me the money. here's what people have been saying about redacted and i was actually just pull on. the only show i go out of my way to find you know
3:58 am
a lot of the really packed a punch oh yeah mr john oliver of r t america is doing the same we are apparently better than the movies that i see you never heard of love back to the night my president of the world bank paid to write me seriously send us an e-mail. most people think just stand out in this business you need to be the first one on top of the story or the person with the loudest voice of the biggest raid in truth to stand down the news business you just need to ask the right questions demand the right answer. questions. if the security m and political polarization comes but if they come back then that will.
3:59 am
provide the right circumstances that i can vitamin water the more i says good images get. zia says harlan kentucky. we all knew them boys you could work ministry families leaving only. a co money city with almost no coal mines left. the jobs are gone all the polarizer showed that there was a lot of to see these people the survivors of a world disappearing before their eyes. i remember thinking when i was younger that if anything ever happened to the coal mines here and that it would become a ghost town but i never thought in
4:00 am
a million years i would see that and it's how it's happened. the u.s. calls on turkey to deescalate and smid free operation in syria while i'm curious says there is a trust crisis in its relationship with washington. and what a shame that is think about all that this country has been drilled and now we're looking at another just russia the promises which have never been kept by united states men being created just voices of people not of the trust is missing too with the u.s. national security agency after it removes the words on the state trust them from its official mission statement online and also to come this hour now it's a downplaying a threat to the media in germany highlights fears within the government over a rise and is missing a stream isn't inside the studio.
