for five six minutes after takeoff the plane crashed near a village it was about sixty kilometers southeast of moscow. the service is taking part in a search and recovery operation tragically search and rescue has finished taking place around the clock they have already recovered one of the black boxes that of course be crucial to finding out what happened in the tragic final moments of that aircraft president putin expressed his condolences to the relatives and a special commission has been set up already to investigate the incident still no word of course on what may have caused the plane to come down lots of speculation over the last two and half three hours investigators though saying all versions are being considered at this point where the conditions obviously very difficult. as well as technical malfunction we'll bring you the latest as that comes up. we'll continue to bring you all the latest on this tragic story plus two being

board crashed just outside of moscow in the last few hours just minutes after it took off is the first pictures we got back from the site of that crash the video apparently shot by locals the village where the plane came down is about sixty kilometers southeast of moscow where we're talking to from emergency services reportedly struggled to reach that area at first because of the heavy snowfall there and the snow has been extremely heavy only just come back to moscow been a bit of a holiday but it's been extremely even by moscow standards deep snow isn't it a month's worth of slow fall and just the three or four days causing mayhem on the roads of course that should have impacted the plane seemingly though that is one of the theories they are looking into but it has been a problem for the rescue services to get to this plane crash apparently crashed in a field that would have been cleared of the snow the snow in places feet deep you know all the other issue of course is news just coming in the last ten minutes or so from rescuers at the scene that the range of debris from this crash is no less than one kilometer in an area that's quite a lot of buzz about a couple of days we don't know but that could indicate that plane broke up in this

guy as has been reported by some of the eyewitnesses what weather conditions are among the versions being investigated by the authorities together with maybe human error together with maybe technical malfunctions could an engine have blown it on the initial climb there of course it only got to about six now thousand feet it would have been climbing again. it's on a two hour flight that should have been on about thirty thirty five thousand feet now let's check out the map if you can see the trajectory of that flight that took off for two three four five six seven about five hours ago from there were dead of an airport in the russian capital earlier before then doing what it should have done diverting east but just four minutes after it took off at just about six thousand feet that plane disappeared from radar now down you were tracking all flight radar twenty four what the plane did in its final moments and it did something peculiar didn't it you're absolutely rising to that height of one thousand eight hundred meters descending again by about two hundred fifty three

hundred meters climbing gear and certainly very just of logic behavior from it looks like the pilots whatever happened there had some big control issues with that plane. as mentioned let's talk a little bit about this plane lot of people are sort of. may not have heard about this kind of plane announcing of one for eight pretty new it's only about seven years old it was owned by surat of the airlines it just took its maiden flight this particular plane in twenty ten was developed in the mid two thousand the specific model of plane is a regional hopper can reach the usual bell eight hundred kilometers an hour capable of carrying at its max eighty passengers on board it wasn't totally full this time there were seventy one crew and passages in total and none of them sadly so sadly made it off that plane so many questions down about what went wrong here as always happens with these kind of things when information starts to come in a lot of conflicting reports let's go through the timeline of events and first of all it must be said as well before we even do that thought so much with friends

family loved ones of all those guys that perished on that plane today a huge tragedy we believe all russians on that plane thing from the orenburg area. it's just a flight that never got there almost an even start its flight did it all that's right and of course as you say thoughts and prayers with those relatives and friends arriving in both. it's now in a special race has been organized from. from into moscow to mabel those relatives to receive the help they can just ignore signs of the oh my god literally howling with grief it's a nightmare for any one of the forty five of course whatever happened to place so quickly within four minutes stuff like disappearance somebody to her she was was it the icing problem was it an engine failure problem could it have been a terrorism problem don't know because again conflicting reports where the explosion happened on the ground we talk about this mushroom cloud or whether that maybe there was an explosion in the sky which would account for this big debris field they're talking about a kilometer long well shortly after it happened near a guarantee of was here we dispatched him as fast as he could to get down to that

site sixty kilometers away he had to walk the last four kilometers to it and he's a boat a kilometer from where it's happened that's as close as he could get. there's a layer of police multiple layers that have cordoned off the area the when we got here they let us through they made us leave our cars by the first check one by the first cordon and we walked we walked through we walked to this village but we're still a ways off of the checkpoint we were stopped on our colleagues told us that nobody was being led through it. because the police said they don't want anyone distracting getting in the way of rescuers and investigators that are working here in fact there's a huge convoy of vacuum bulan says of the. prosecutor's office vehicles investigators as well as officials and fire services you know fire trucks have just left the scene about three dozen vehicles you know so i gather they've made some

progress we heard earlier that one of the black boxes has been been recovered the second one is rather recovered fifty fifty of the bodies which just moved from them seventy one victims of this tragedy sixty five passengers all of them russians all of them from the orem border region where this jet was headed out of them from there no survivors of course you talked about the physics of it you know a jet traveling at hundreds of kilometers a and now a crashing almost plummeting into this into this field well as survivors would have been highly unlikely but the weather that he's complicating the rescue effort the recovery effort because the field that crashed in kilometer away from us easy to see it's very deep the snow there is very deep obviously nobody has been clearing

it before the crash and the east complicating recovery efforts we've heard from the locals as well we've talked to a number of people there shying away from the press now obviously. but here is what they told us of this thunderclap that they heard when the jet crashed. my friend say the bang was say laos when days almost shouted. i was watching the t.v. anaconda band everyone. yes i heard a loud cluck i was line in the hole badly to duck and my cats hit it was a really loud because of you i would see it sounded like an explosion our house bounced more than they say there are more than one hundred rescue as in this field right now as well as dozens of trucks and ambulances very quick to clear away the daybreak to get it out to get to the bodies themselves they've been

thrown around in the big you know big radius the crash site itself from what the rescuers have told us an officially is is pretty large and there isn't much left of the jet itself but the operation is continuing we've heard of course various various rumors reports as to the causes the central prosecutor's office says it is going to investigate everything everything that could have contributed to this crash technical difficulties human error the weather absolutely every fact of the could have led to this tragedy will be looked at. we're going to fit the scene they're going to put the relatives in in a moment but there has been a little bit of news about the people on the plane just a little snippet that we believe there could have been a swiss national on this right here the local authorities in all of them are confirming so far that one swiss national was on board that news coming in from media earlier now confirmed of course by local authorities the rest believed to be

russian at this stage believed to be that's the only foreign national on board they're also just going back to previous incidents with that plane of course no. crashes with fatalities with this particular plane while the but an incident earlier twenty eleven problems with the planes so there was maturing testing in belgrade and other cities further east of russia where the engines actually caught fire upon takeoff because the exceeded speed limit whether something similar may have happened may have not happened right now obviously speculation but certainly fits in with erratic behavior of a plane doesn't have alternatives aside of course what a terrible time this is for the relatives have been involved in this they've been gathering at the airport in that would have been the destination of flight it was expected to land just a couple of hours after it left or would have really emergency services and doctors have been deployed to that airport they're going to try the best they can to provide psychological and medical help to the people tonight trying to come to terms with their terrible tragedy that awful last flight suspended at that airport

a region and now the investigation is of course under way into the possible reasons behind this incident behind the crash and of course the investigators are looking closely into possible whether it could additions that might be the key. cause of the crash and i can tell you one thing that the weather is really war singing here at the airport and now throughout the day it's been snowing quite. but i can tell you one thing it is not windy at all which is again a very important aspect to in. the airport now overall in the past couple of weeks moscow has seen some really how the snow falls and last week was a record breaking snowfall and of course the fact this dropped to the work off a major airport shut off the city now doesn't so if. council it's an aircraft in the air where we would. airports it was really impossible to live in

moscow now at this very moment weather conditions are quite complicated it is snowing and it is flowing quite obviously now the airplane that crashed was the answer enough and one forty eight and that airplane is then narrow but the regional aircraft now it was carrying sixty five passengers and six crew members we know that two children were on board as well as a teenager aged five twelve and seventeen according to the emergency services there is no chance of finding survivors now the federal air transport agency said that air traffic control lost radio contact with the plane a few moments after takeoff on the radar system the plane disappeared from the reader flying over the moscow region now coming back to the end.
