states and over one hundred of them killed there's. rumors about whether russian security contractors were killed as well that's that's unconfirmed as of yet we had . one or possibly two turkish helicopter shot down over africa. by the kurdish forces that are resisting the turkish invasion of syria there and we have a russian fighter that was shot down by a manpad this follows a multiple drone swarm attacks on russian military bases the syrian conflict is at a point of escalation and crisis that we haven't even seen before the low hanging with you know we didn't really know that if you were watching cable network that you get what israel and the u.s. really show is that if there's anyone that has a right of self-defense it is syria against israel the united states turkey saudi arabia and so there's another very short point to it and i think he's in for this escalation on march eighteenth they're going to be presidential elections in russian it is when you were well known in the united states and other western

well large scale recovery operation was launched on sunday involving hundreds of emergency service workers vehicles but it's been extremely difficult to locate debris jew to the weather conditions in moscow there on the ground forests. it's getting dark now and there are minutes of daylight left but the search and recovery operation is continuing it is even nearing its conclusion according to the latest statement we heard from the emergency services they've searched twenty five of the thirty square heck this where the plane and its stay bre believe had been thrown about over but as you see one of the biggest problems here is the weather and the snow it's getting colder and colder and they've had to bring in a lot of specialized equipment especially stuff to melt the snow heat cannons as they call them here in russia there are also hundreds and hundreds of rescuers here

they're working in shifts to the some can rest while others sift through the snow in the wreckage and day brief but both black boxes have now been found and investigators should have everything they need to rebuild point by point that stake off the short flight and to find out whatever it was exactly that caused this fatal tragedy but as i say the search and recovery operation itself is nearing its conclusion and it will be continuing into the night again. murat guess the if radar stations recorded the erratic flight path of the plane it reached an altitude of nearly two thousand meters before suddenly plunging to fifteen hundred meters after regaining height it up part and plea plummeted once again and disappeared completely from radars well the last time it was seen on

screen was at nine hundred meters the plane was an one for eight owned by surat tougher lines it had been in operation for less than eight years the airline is now being investigated by the authorities but the company claims it carried out all of the necessary technical maintenance however this particular plane was previously involved in several safety incidents including engine and fuselage problems well with the investigation underway we spoke to aviation experts about the possible causes of the crash blood to send my thoughts and prayers to all the families of the passengers and crew and the airline staff in the wake of this tragedy the weather is probably the primary factor that depends a lot on the rate of the snowfall or precipitation and how long the airplane had been sitting on the ground collecting all that material the fact that the airplane became airborne and climbed to six thousand feet tells me that probably the

the lines here we have a situation where washington has trained armed this breakaway group as well to fight against america's own nato ally is that a for summation well at this point we have confirmation from u.s. secretary of defense james mattis he's confirming that a number of the u.s. trained kurdish forces in the s.d.f. have actually relocated to northern syria to fight against turkey this is what he said the destruction of was going on up enough and right now which is drawing off some of the syrian democratic forces the sea the snuff and on the road so that schools and police their attention to shift. now at this point both turkey which is a member of nato as well as the u.s. trained kurdish fighters they are both key allies of the united states in the

region there has actually been quite a bit of tension recently between all three of them at this point it's really rather unclear exactly how things are going to continue now the usa has supplied weapons to kurdish fighters in in syria and car washington's longtime ally has actually made a point of saying that this is essentially they they consider this to be u.s. supporting terrorists consider this to be support for terrorism and now we hear also from mattis he is come forward and said that turkey has security concerns about the kurdish forces in syria are actually legitimate this is what he said. we can seem to work with. disagreements which is how do we take them on as he was rapidly it's possible they have a legitimate security concern and we do not dismiss one bits of them now this security concern that he is referring to are forces that have been armed

by the united states in syria the kurdish fighters associated with the s.d.f. in the u.s. led coalition now at this point it seems like washington is really between a rock and a hard place i mean they're trying to keep two allies happy two allies that are clearly at odds now things escalated when turkey began its military operations in syria against the kurdish forces this is called operation olive branch and from what we understand there is actually a process in the works to rename the street that the u.s. embassy in turkey is located on to rename that street after operation olive branch the operation by turkish forces in syria against the kurds that are armed by the united states so it's pretty clear the tensions are rising and questions are being raised and the united states with its two allies turkey and the kurdish fighters is really stuck in a strange situation where the goals of its policy are not exactly clear lie from.
