there have been issues when there were bullies attack children for food allergies calling them week one british child even died. thirteen year old dairy intolerance and was forced fed cheese on diet i suppose an understanding of this is a good thing is that it's. well look i don't think anyone has a problem with being sensitive to those who have the ability and conditions but i had asthma growing up and it was certainly debilitating and i think that the reason we should oppose this film is not this scene involving our g.'s percent a but rather the fact that we are changing a beloved child story that authored by beatrix part potter and changing the moral of the story the moral of the story was don't disobey your parents don't sneak into the garden or you'll die not that you'll get hit by blackberries if you're if you're in the garden so i think changing the story this hollywood license is the

their food allergy or force them to eat it as they did with mr mcgregor and this story it truly is just you know a bizarre behavior quite honestly and in two thousand and eighteen we think that peace people should certainly be more sensitive to individuals and to those limitations that they may have and that we should be encouraging children to harm one another are bullying is never ok but they did allergy beling can turn deadly in an instant don't you go ahead you're one of the little wait a minute why does that assume bullying but what why do we assume that the consequence of showing this in the film is going to be bullying humor comedy being able to laugh at ourselves is one of the classic ways as a free society across the pond as well that we've dealt with these serious issues i know that joan rivers made a lot of jokes about being deaf and dumb about living with a husband who was largely deaf and she was she was criticized for that later in her

life but these are ways we deal with the problems and by laughing at our own problems and our own challenges we actually can encourage education about them rather than discourage bullying i think bullying is a misplaced focus here. yeah. about encouraging education on this topic yeah i'm all about encouraging education on this topic as the mom of a teenager who's lived with a life threatening peanut allergy i certainly believe that there are times that we have had to laugh at the situation just to keep from crying or to live in such anxiety and fear but on the other hand i think that the responsibility of a filmmaker like sony is to put forth educational messages that are truth based and that elevate the conversation rather than hurting others well like any good hollywood we don't hold on just a moment like any good hollywood movie we've got

a twist here because all the buns a food allergy patient a former elementary school teacher and she joins into the scotian. i will put the same point that i put to told you a moment ago but is this really not true for that we're finding things to be offended by every day it seems new things this was a block breathing through another adult in a kid's movie yes however the there never should be any sort of ganging up on someone having to do with food allergies this is a very sensitive topic for a reason because you know bullying in and of itself is a big problem in schools with children and even with adults and to show in a kids' movie that you know bullying is ok and bullying with food allergies leads you know potentially lead to something fatal which is different than really any

other type of bullying so you know this movie really did go a step farther. as far as having the bullying and having it be about food allergies . in that case we need to ban viewing and this is delphi or for the cayenne pepper scene towards the end of the film we can just simply not take our children the movies we feel are inappropriate for them and furthermore the idea that we assume that this is going to lead to bullying is a false premise it's a false dichotomy why must this lead to bowling why can't it simply be an isolated scene in a film that we teach our children to interpret one way or another yeah that's the point as well tanya isn't it this is one of innumerable cartoons that were shows car attorneys at each other's throats i'm sure you remember tom and jerry as i do does this mean that those who are brought up watching the particular cartoon you

know are going to become cruel intolerant it's just the movie. well i'm not certain that again there's any hard data around the impact of those. television shows and or maybe that portray these things i think the bigger issue is that we see this is an opportunity to raise the conversation to certainly help to address what we know is going on what children report day in day out and that is bullying due to food allergy again you cited the case where the child was forced to eat cheese and ultimately died that is not funny there is nothing humorous about looking into the mother's eyes of a child who died of a life threatening allergies and that is exactly what we're no one is laughing at that and are saying. i agree john i agree everyone has the have their own right to take their children to the movies that they choose to see if you

a serious thing and you know there are are funny parts about certain things but food allergies are not one joe maybe it does give the point does the children. actually give them an idea to do something against the other kid in the playground but they're not happy with the might actually lead to a little bit more in the school. look as i said before i am against this film and the scene in this film for entirely different reasons i think it changes the moral of the story from beatrix potter original intent which was to show that it's important to obey your parents and that that will lead to a healthy prosperous life and that if peter rabbit indeed disobeyed and snuck into the garden he might die and that was the original premise of peter rabbit the original story so i'm against this film for unnecessary hollywood license but if if
