in a neighboring iraq people are dealing with life after liberation from terrorists iraqi refugees in the countries anbar province say they feel safer in camps than in their homes they're being told in some cases that they're being told to forced to go back to that is according to a joint report by three humanitarian organizations now the report says eighty four percent of refugees feel much safer in their camps only one percent are sure they still have a house to return sir all half of those questioned don't know their homes have been destroyed testimonies in the report appear to reflect those figures. we didn't make it to this place without seeing death with their own eyes a thousand times. i can't return to ramadi my house was damaged by isis i'm worried about the camp management telling us to leave and return home i had remus that they might close
5:31 am
the camp but there's nothing official most of my friends have returned to ramadi but i can't go i can't afford to repair my house. we are stuck in here like sheep last month an aussie crew was filming in the iraqi city of mosul which was liberated from i was told over a year ago as these pictures show they're still the whole sign of a city returning to normal and while people are being told to return the locals who are actually at most schools say the authorities themselves are afraid of what to do. how many bodies have you removed since you started working in this area approximately five hundred ok are there any more yes in houses and on their odds where's your god and i challenge any member of parliament to live in the conditions we're currently living in here i bet they are even afraid of entering this area they have no idea how horrible the smell is or how critical the medical situation is. we haven't received any kind of aid since thing is finished is seven months ago
5:32 am
on one occasion did they receive a small box of food. no food nothing like melanie markham from the norwegian refugee council who worked on the report says refugees fear traps and violent reprisals if they return home there's a number of dangers i think one of the largest threats is that of unexploded bombs unexploded mortars and baby traps and in fact we heard one report of a family who returned home only to find they have been trapped and it killed a family member some of the other things that make it unsafe for papal violent thrum the community around them people who even suspected of having links with isis a particularly vulnerable that other people under the threat of violence by. members of their own tribal communities so there are a number of reasons why it's unsafe still on site for people to return home and.

facebook has not found any additional signs that russia linked accounts interfered in the u.k. vote after a new effort to unearth some proof the company sent a letter to the head of the british probe in the matter saying there's no evidence other than the minimal activity already known about. the reports. this is actually the second attempt by facebook to investigate and see whether russia was involved in any attempts to try to influence the brig's that referendum in december their investigations found that there were three adverts which were taken out by russian accounts but the budget for those totaled less than one pound only reached two hundred people so not exactly extensive proof of russian meddling facebook vend went back and investigated again upon the demands of damian collins who's a leading member of parliament here in the u.k.
5:34 am
and that's where that letter comes from again saying that there has been no additional evidence of any russian interference in the braggs that referendum now mr collins traveled to the u.s. to try to grill the officials from a number of leading tech companies and again the message was clear that russia hasn't been interfering in the democratic processes there be looked at all advertisements with any connection to russia and we found no evidence of our services being used to interfere in the referendum and a very small number of suspected research agency linked accounts forty nine such accounts were active during the campaign which represents less than not point nor five percent of the title number of accounts these are very low level things judgement now despite those testimonies that runs against what we've been hearing from leading politicians including the prime minister to resign may who insists that russia is up to no good it is seeking to weaponize information deploying its
5:35 am
state run media organizations to plant fake stories and photo shopped images in an attempt to sow discord in the west and undermine our institutions so i have a very simple message for russia we know what you are doing and you will not succeed so all in all three really frustrating for those. i have been attempting to find a link between russia and the briggs it referendum and no matter how hard you try you just can't find something that isn't there. berlin authorities have circulated a brochure among kindergarten stuff that focuses on such issues as transgender identity on same sex marriage a booklet designed to help teachers explain these sensitive topics to children certainly having spoke some controversy so far peter all of our picks up the story . it is a city famed for its liberal and inclusive attitudes to sex and sexuality.
5:36 am
but conservatives in the german capital are upset at a new guide for kindergarten teachers that they say goes into too much detail and is aimed at kids that are too young the idea is to give educators the information they need to be sensitive to children coming from non-binary families say children of same sex parents or transgender parents it doesn't have the most catchy of names but what it has done is certainly ruffle some feathers among those in angela merkel's c.d.u. party children should be allowed to be children and not be confronted with things like these it's also come in for criticism from the opposition alternative for germany party well it's very simple we believe sex education is important and of
5:37 am
course our young adults should know about sex planning and all the rest but please not in the kindergarten give them some space let them be children don't force this issue onto them it's not even a problem for them they want to play around they want to discover the world so please let them be children leave them alone these subjects will come to them soon enough in school or at home when the parents talk about this but not of an age of five or six years that is far too early on the streets of berlin opinion is mixed on when is the right time to be discussing with children issues of sexuality do you think that children in kindergarten should be taught about same sex couples and about transgender people yes. it's normal nowadays. to be with people. around the people in knowledge and their conditions and all gender or sexuality is an older stuff i don't think it's the right thing
5:38 am
when they. receive sex. education in school that's enough i think it has its thinking on the one hand i think it's ok but on the other i don't dawdle i'm very much in favor of that idea so yes i do and why i think it's important structural of life so things children should be told about all factors of life and this is one of them the left wing coalition of the social democrats greens and the left party that runs in city government are accusing those on the right wing of politics at the overly prudish and unwilling to discuss the issue. after their attempt to scandalize the handouts on sexual and gender diversity for teachers didn't work the c.d.u. would prefer not to talk about the issue there's very little chance of the early in city government repealing this booklet however discussions sex and sexuality and talking about it in kindergarten are set to continue in fact there's
5:39 am
a petition going round that has already almost fifty thousand signatures from voters who want to see this particular booklet stopped peter all of a. and still to come on the program here on r t the russian president going to give his annual federal assembly addressed in a short while more on that after the break. join me every first week on the alex salmond show and i'll be speaking to guest of the world of politics or business i'm show business i'll see you then. if anyone thinks that for the sake of joining the european union reserve be a would recognize kosovo under the conditions that they impose right now and not on the basis of dialogue and compromise the very wrong ones a compromise with but the solution proposed by costs of all veiny else is not the
5:40 am
real solution. but politicians to do something to. put themselves on the line they get accepted or rejected. so when you want to be president and. want to press. it to the right to be press this is what before three of them or can't be good get . interested always in the waters and that's how. things should. quarter past the hour here in moscow president vladimir putin will in two hours give his annual address to the russian parliament and other members of the country's political elite with details. well this year there's
5:41 am
a new venue it used to happen inside the kremlin but this time the so-called state of the nation address is moving to an exhibition hall just outside the red brick walls called the mini and we've been told the reason for it is that mr putin wants to make things more interactive with stuff being shown on big monitors quite unusual for a formal speech like that and that is intriguing because i don't really remember the president giving a visual presentation like that we know that a lot of our putin loves showing some numbers knowledge and perhaps we're going to see a bit of that on these monitors and probably we will hear a lot about the economy with real incomes having fallen across russia people will be expecting to hear some announcements on reducing poverty russia's business community will be looking forward to hearing about some specific steps to help the economy recover from recession plus whenever president putin is speaking of course
5:42 am
he brings up international issues and things are getting smoother when it comes to how moscow is getting along with the west washington in particular the syrian crisis keeps bringing more trouble so in the next few hours we will find out whether mr putin has anything groundbreaking to say on these issues as well. this is also international germany's dock nazi past still troubles the country of lessons some parts apparently a small village near frankfurt has been thrust into the spotlight off or decided to retain him.
5:43 am
i think. because couple of people don't like. having the feeling to know that there's. a big story like this. yeah this bell has been here for some time and now someone wants to get rid of. isabel didn't do anyone harm or i think there are more terrible things to pay attention to you know.

washington is seeking access to data stored in other countries a case between the american government and microsoft is currently being hosted by the us supreme court the issue started some five years ago when microsoft refused to hand the e-mails related to a drug trafficking investigation over to authorities it claimed the data was stored on some of those in ireland where u.s. law has no jurisdiction but washington argues that the tech giant is a blind to share the data as it is an american company with a tech giant says the credibility of old i.t. companies is now at stake. the reality is that people will not use technology they do not trust we need to sustain their trust and part of sustaining their trust is giving people confidence that their legal rights under their legal systems will in fact be respected including by the united states who put the issue up for debate

with political activist george and i t. security consultant whole field us government needs to take a stronger role in monitoring certain activity on the internet and in social media if we are going to try try to stay in line and somewhat ahead if we can with groups such as isis al shabaab book a home run that are using the internet and are using social media as a high way of transporting information to plan and execute terrorist attacks so it's a matter of creating a balance there are many sort of covert means of communicating effectively online if you want to that wouldn't be touched by this judgment in the particular case the issue the irish government has been very clear it would have it had there been a request from the justice department for the information that is stored on the service.
