i. u.k. media citing a single undisclosed source run with headlines saying the perpetrators of the script poison attack have been identified and the police have so far failed to verify the claim. or u.s. court refuses to russian citizens. charging the lobbyist with conspiracy to defraud the united states and. influential connections with americans. french court has rejected a case of the twenty fifteen terror attacks against the state over its handling of the tragedy. and the russian military's new generation are still featuring some of the most

powerful weaponry in the world enters into operation with video released of lasers and hypersonic systems. thanks for joining us live in r.t. international. today great to have you with us on the program. was u.k. media are reporting that investigators have identified those behind the poisoning of. daughter. this is all allegedly come from a source close to the police investigation into the original attack against the script powells back in march and this source has spoken to the press association they're the ones reporting it and they've said that investigators are apparently closing in on the suspected perpetrators of the attack and the police have allegedly been looking at c.c.t.v.
8:02 am
footage and they've been examining it and also looking at records of people who had ended and left the country around the time of the attack against the script piles in march because the bomb shell really in all these reports is that these suspects are allegedly russian it is important to note that these are unconfirmed reports as yet so far it's just come from this one article by the press association but it's done the rounds and it's pretty big headline news here in the u.k. even though we haven't had any updates from the police or the oath or a tease in regards to the investigation that hasn't stopped the press speculation though just to give you an example the sun newspaper has elaborated on the story saying that scotland yard apparently believes that it was a two man hit team that carried out the attack on the script files and that they did it on the orders of the kremlin and furthermore that the pair were thought to
8:03 am
have left the u.k. for russia the morning after the attack and to quote the newspaper thought to be under the protection of president vladimir putin so that's the source of reports that are in the press here right now. has consistently denied any claims of wrongdoing even though the british government pointed the finger squarely at the kremlin in the days after the attack saying that it's highly likely that russia or did the poisoning and now following these new unconfirmed reports the russian ambassador to the u.k. alexander yack event has already responded take a listen. russia wants to hued names of those accused of poisoning the scruples from the authorities for now they're only media reports and in a way there you can see the russian diplomat really upping the ante saying we'll go on then give us these names if you're going to make these allegations we want to see evidence of it and we've just got
8:04 am
a line from the russian foreign ministry as well they've said that if the u.k. keeps these alleged russian suspects classified if this case becomes secret well then moscow will regard it as a cover up of the perpetrators so there's clearly a sense of increasing frustration here i would say from the russian side that the british media can sort of go on making these allegations almost indefinitely without a shred of evidence from the or thora season without any official statements from the police investigation to back it up. another headline so u.s. court has refused bail to russian citizen maria bhutto after she pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to act as a crime an agent earlier prosecutors released court papers relating to her case the documents claim bhutto was in contact with russian intelligence officials and also
8:05 am
that she offered certs in exchange for a job at a u.s. special interests organization. the twenty nine year old has appeared in federal court and entered a plea of not guilty contesting the charges against her and she's been denied bail so she will remain in federal custody pending trial documents presented by the federal prosecutors have a lot of really unclear words in them for example it says appears to have ties to russian intelligence services they believe they said that was in contact with officials believed to be russian intelligence operatives furthermore they stated that they have a handwritten note that says how to respond to f.s.b. employment offers so this is what they have a lot of very unclear statements in the document and furthermore they went on to allege that she has been covertly offering people sex for favors and basically the charge is that she has been operating in pro-gun lobby groups and with the
8:06 am
republican party and has been doing so on behalf of the russian government without registering herself as a foreign agent now a lot of the media reports are using words like spies and espionage but none of those charges have been filed she is not being accused of doing any military related work no classified information is involved in the case it's simply alleged misuse lobbying and behaving as a lobbyist without registering as a lobbyist on behalf of the russian government spokesperson for the russian ministry has come forward and said they are alarmed by the case and they are calling the charges groundless and politically motivated we've heard they are saying essentially the f.b.i. instead of dealing with its basic duties to combat crime is carrying out a plane political order her lawyers argued that she has been cooperating with federal officials in the united states for the last few months that she is not a flight risk but the judge didn't hear it and the judge said that she was denied any bail so she remains in federal custody awaiting trial on these charges of being

an unregistered for. an agent lobbyist. now in france court has rejected a case brought by survivors of the twenty fifteen terror attacks against the state over its handling of the tragedy but also looks to be actions of a group of soldiers who were ordered not to intervene in the spot being armed and posted outside the brother plan concert all the assault unfolded as our paris correspondent charlotte with the details because claims were brought in front of the court just about a month ago and they were bought and relation to the victims and the families of those who didn't survive the battle plan attacks. so what they claim to basically is that the french state failed to assist in danger by not intervening and what was happening that night at the vatican because the soldiers were not only given orders not to go in to be in they were also given
8:08 am
orders not to give their weapons to the police who actually wanted to go inside and to try and assist those who were being injured in this century that small to that was taking place now the court documents that were put in also alleges that the terrorists were able to freely move within the european union because of the showing in area and the final major claim that was made is that the security services actually let them slip through the net and that's because many of the perpetrators of this attack were actually known to the security services before that terrible night back in november two thousand and fifteen now the court rejected those principles saying that the state there was no evidence that the state could have known that the battle in particular would be targeted in this event now we've also heard from one of the lawyers of the victims today who saying that she just doesn't accept this ruling in november thirteen attacks are not inevitable everything was now degree of danger was known this did failure to drive

the conclusions for. in previous attacks through the years leading to the lack of surreal and and vigilance by the security services of their french state many of the questions that the families wanted answered still haven't been answered not by this case today nor by the parliamentary inquiry which followed those attacks just a year or so ago and what we do know is as those answers remain those questions remain unanswered they will be something that those families will continue to think about and wonder whether in their minds they could have been mood done to save their loved ones and help more people survive those attacks back on a vote on the thirteenth two thousand and fifteen. other russian defense ministry has unveiled video of its new generation of weapons in action some of the world's most powerful moments are now operational in the russian military what it does do of takes a closer look at the new arsehole. when putin announced this new arsenal it came
8:10 am
out of nowhere seemed like side five overkill to some but you know we now have videos of each. or dagger and russian is a hypersonic missile and it's fast really fast flies at three kilometers a second and anything tries to shoot it down it dodges to maneuvering flying in an unpredictable trajectory world first by the way the u.s. plans to test its own analog next year. this is the overkill bought a new nuclear i.c.b.m. that carries get this twenty nuclear warheads the real a store with its range which is practically unlimited past nuclear missiles had to

use the shortest flight path and fly through ed defenses this thing can literally fly to the south pole and back up to hit that stargate from behind. if for whatever reason you don't feel like flying through and. there's adam god it's designed to literally ram its way through enemy anti missile defenses with speed first it's lifted into space then its engines turn on and it enters the atmosphere at knock twenty that's roughly seven kilometers a second. poseidon agree god of the she may be gone but he's got a no less terrifying success or a nuclear powered paedo that travels so deep and so fast it's in theory undefeatable. brevets nick

a new nuclear powered nuclear capable cruise missile it's literally powered by a nuclear reactor on board inside the misselling meaning it's got indefinite range so long as the reactor has fuel it can stay airborne fluids around and around until the opportunity to strike. combat lasers of always been a cool science fiction gimmick but they never really got doing the science and technical requirements with too great until now it seems it is yet named after a russian worry among the laser weapons system designed to deliver incredible amounts of energy in a small area so shoot down all melt down and incoming drew nor jet to shelve for example other than that not much known yet.
8:13 am
now one might ask isn't all that is just begging for an arms race is russia each in for a fight no says putin it's all about balance balance means peace the four things were even russia and the us had nuclear parity mutually assured destruction then after the u.s.s.r. collapsed nato began to expand began to field new weapons that could destroy russian nukes what putin unveiled is russia's on a return to military equality status quo a return to balance. iraq of iraq and dissent is filmed a parody of the music hit this is america criticizing the u.s. invasion of iraq we'll compare it to the original and speak to the artist himself just off to the short what.
8:14 am
i've been saying the numbers mean something they matter the u.s. has over one trillion dollars in debt more than ten white collar crimes happen each day. eighty five percent of the global wealth you longs to the ultra rich eight point six percent market saw a thirty percent rise last year some with four hundred to five hundred three per second per second and bitcoin rose to twenty thousand dollars. china's building two point one billion dollars a i industrial park but don't let the numbers overwhelm. the only number you need to remember in one one business shows you can't afford to miss the one and only.
8:15 am
the new global economic war is unfolding in the realm of education the right to education being supplanted by the right to access education. higher education is becoming just another product that can be bought and sold but it's not just about education anymore it's also about running a business and what you good. luck with these songs. want is the place of students in this business model before college i was born now and i'm extremely bored higher education the new global economic war.
8:16 am
welcome back to r.t. international now the hit music video this is america by charlie the world wide popularity in part because of its controversial depiction of american society now it's inspired a musician of iraqi descent to film his own parody intended also to be critical this time of america's invasion of iraq. this is america. again just like this is our way. out of school we're not. a body shop we're not. by people we're not wholesome barrels and barrels. barrels and barrels put in the demolished on the bridge the mission accomplished. well let's go live now to the artist himself behind this is a rock i n z thanks for joining us so much said good to have you on the program today. what did you want to convey exactly in your music video what was the reasoning behind do you creating it. i mean first and foremost i'm
8:17 am
a big fan of the original truck by trial that's going to be you know and i love the way it was executed. political tricks believe. go as far as the if you like it was just the. sort of. talk about iraq and what's happened over the past fifteen years and what's still happening today. and even though the message or the subject is different the underlying principles are the same. with humanity takes a back. seat. to corrupt politics to agree to do the movie religion something you and i feel like we can be that pretty good and. in the track itself and just raising awareness and i think that's important i've had people come up to me and only and thank me for. for short of sort of
8:18 am
a reason awareness and getting you know getting them were familiar with the subject that they were so clear with because they were too young at the time when the when the invasion happened. so far so good the reactions then pretty positive and only that continued you know what we'll get back to that what you were saying just in a few moments but i mean the the child as. being a video contains a lot of hidden references doesn't it obvious to your what has a lot of obvious ones as well you know the gray but the jumpsuits the american flag draped over a coffin other any hidden references there which perhaps you couldn't really see at first glance. some of these some of the obviously look to leave to the interpretation of your viewers. i would want to go through step by step always hidden and always obvious. you know it's there for people to interpret and they're entitled to and through the way they like and try to sort of figure it out. i don't know you mentioned earlier about raising awareness especially among young people i
8:19 am
was about thirteen myself when the rock was at place i remember the big protests in london two million people out on the streets against the war do you think these sorts of it is a really the only way to get through to young people younger than you know our generation who might really not have much much awareness of what's going on in the middle east and where that crisis stemmed from all those years ago. you know definitely i think we need to be creative in how we get the message across. generally people don't like to hear from both sides with a lot. sometimes we need to be creative and i just felt like this was the perfect person to get that message across. you know whether it's through the group through the different forms. you know. either way if we can get the mr across to young people. this is the good thing for for the world to deliver. and why do you think your video really struck such
8:20 am
a chord and went viral because there have been i believe some other power does not not obviously is as well made as your one but i mean your one is very much at the headlines very quickly do you think it's really struck a chord with us. i think maybe the call to the productions good and differently there's a cool source issue between america and. given that you know the u.s. led invasion of iraq is a major contributing factor to where we are today i'm not saying it's the only factor but it is a major contributing factor. so i think it was just sort of the. draw for this trip to be on the track of america. and just just finally and perhaps put it on the spot slightly here if we could get your key message to the u.s. to young people of your video to the global audience perhaps maybe if you can wrap a bit of a key pieces for us what would that be the one you want to convey to your global
8:21 am
viewers right now. most. positive message across the district and just one. conversation going. ok i hear pop artist behind that viral video this is a rock thanks for joining us at all today great grandmother program thank you very much. now the israeli parliament has passed a pretty contentious bill that defines the country as the nation state of the jewish people critics are saying it essentially diminishes the status of the countries are up citizens. has more on the story but it effectively does is it enshrined in the israel basic law the concept that israel is the historic homeland of the jewish people and they have exclusive right to national self-determination
8:22 am
now supporters say that it equates jewish values with democratic values or puts them on an equal footing but critics and there are many say that it effectively discriminates against the country's arab population who make up some twenty percent and other minorities now you have for example now in law the fact that hebrew is the official language of the country arabic is given the status of special status and has effectively been downgraded there were hours of debate in the israeli knesset the israeli parliament prior to this contentious nation state being passed into law a particularly contentious part of the ball is the whole idea of israeli or jewish settlements now there was a lot of debate about this in the past it was changed because the charge was put forward that it promotes secret ation but even with the change critics complain because now for example they say it promotes jewish only settlements it caused so much anger in the parliament that arab members of parliament actually ripped the
8:23 am
bill to charades. yes this is an evil law black flag hovers over it this is a law which harbors a black flag. now the israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu says that this is a pivotal moment in the history of zionism and israel. this is a historic moment in the history of zionism and the history of the state of israel israel is the national state of the jewish people and national state rep respects the rights of individuals the rights of all citizens and in the middle east only israel respects these rights so today we have written the law in stone now the ball was first proposed back in two thousand and eleven and over the years controversial as it is it has seen and number of the levites and parallel proposals the country's prime minister netanyahu has always supported it and for years he has evolved and eventually it will be passed into law and that's what we've seen happening now with a lot of reaction. well let's bring in senior analyst from the jerusalem center for
8:24 am
public affairs thanks for joining us good to have you all know it's been a controversial law so far as not to say the least critics are saying this marginalize is degrades israel's israel's arab community would you agree with that statement. no i think that's an inaccurate statement in fact the bill factually doesn't change the protected status of israel's minorities whatsoever all this bill does is to allow israel to join scores of other states around the world who have defined a national character of the majority of those countries now the problem with states around the world like saudi arabia and iran and other muslim majority countries is that they don't protect the minority rights in their own country israel does the opposite it protects its minority rights its religious and its cultural freedoms and in fact that's why i think you heard prime minister. israel is the only country
8:25 am
the middle east that does that while at the same time finally defines in law israel's character as the nation state of the jewish people it's not a jewish theocracy or a jewish. religious or a religious state the way you have in iran or saudi arabia it's a state it's a liberal democracy with a jewish majority character but if we talk sort of practicality you mention all the middle eastern countries don't protect minorities but i mean it is fun to stop this bill correctly if the arab language is going to lose its status as an official language within israel but i would risk make up twenty percent of the population i mean that's a very sizable chunk of the population that will lose their official language status. no you must understand you need to understand what has happened here this shift in status merely allows israel to
8:26 am
in shrine in the law that hebrew is the official language of the state arabic is a language with special status meaning that it is included in all of the products in the supermarket it's included in all of the public institutions in all of our hospitals any kind of institutional organization association will continue to have arabic as a special language and the islam as a culture the muslim religion as a religion as well as the arab national status of israel's arab minority will be preserved one hundred percent the only difference here is that the government and the knesset wanted to underscore the importance of having a jewish emblem as the official emblem a jewish the jewish language of thirty seven hundred years which is hebrew as the official language jewish holidays is the official holidays just like scores of
8:27 am
other countries around the world but it's. really a normalization type of move as just like countries around the world so don't misunderstand the bill as being discriminatory it is absolutely not discriminatory whatsoever i mean and in terms of the emblem the language is set for a. totally bald out of not was the case obviously before that the bill and as you say a lot of countries do how about enshrined in their own constitution is but what about for example to the promotion of a jewish communities i mean is not a saint surely some would argue what happened in south africa would segregate and communities with the paul taught how is that any different to what happened back then is. that sort of a little i'm sorry. no what you said is totally inaccurate and i'll tell you why first of all that was language that was that was cancelled in the final version of the bill specifically because the of the of the possible perception of what you said of the former apartheid regime in south africa which is as far as
8:28 am
which is as far away from israel as the pope is from islam what it is what he does what he does do is to encourage the settlement of jewish people in the jewish land of israel as a as a legally and try and national priority and that does not discriminate against palestinians in palestinian communities in the west bank j in some area and in gaza which they already have defacto sovereignty and or it doesn't in any way discriminate against non jewish citizens in israel it merely in trying to jewish character of the nation state of the jewish people while protecting minorities of all religions and all ethnic backgrounds and all orientations in israel the only country by the way in the middle east that does that protects its minorities in that way ok we're running out of time dundalk you see i missed jerusalem center for public affairs thanks for commenting all not today shedding some law. it's all not
8:29 am
new legislation. well that's it for myself i'm a team here at all t. for the south want to see it off an hour for the latest global news headlines. communicating with your anderson even your enemy even your did we assume it is a good idea but i think a lot of americans misunderstand it stupid which the ways in which we're here is to communicate for example where there are military operations in syria or even about the baltics lewdly as they do they're making. a bunch of misunderstandings at the end of which you could be in a catastrophic war which would be crazy for russia would be crazy for you if.

the new global economic war is unfolding in the realm of education the right to education has been supplanted by the right to access education low high education is becoming just another product that can be pulled and sold but it's not just about education anymore it's also about running a business and what you could know most of. luck and it's also the kind of fellow they couldn't. want is the place of students in this business model before college i was born now in an extremely more high education the new global economic war. i quite like a swimsuit but that's not time.
