ranking female politician in the arab world first woman to head a national assembly of an arab state i mean obviously that means that this world is very male centric how does that complicate your work how do you make men listen to you. thank you for hosting me i think. using our talent as women. being able to face challenges and at the same time to transcend to all of our potential it makes possible for us to be able to offer for all what's required for us to fill any seat whether being a mother or being even a speaker and i think we've been fortunate also by the respect and the support of men especially when it comes to my country and the u.a.e. from the leadership to the community they all believe in the role of women and they

believe also that. we cannot you know empower society if we don't empower women especially when it comes to political participation internationally not only at the u.a.e. or even in the arab world that's what it's well known it's mailed to me when i think now that the mailbox patients have proven that it's about it and it's already have bring so much my results and accordingly i think that the u.a.e. you will find that we have eight ministers and minister cabinets and the percentage of women around twenty three percent in the parliament and we have more than thirty percent of leadership positions held by women sixty five sixty percent of the federal workforce is from females and there are also when it comes to higher education where a percent more than eighty percent on female come into my education at all compliment each other and i think. we've been fortunate as i said by the support we

get but also we want and we board this great you know respect because we're hard workers and we are sincere and loyal to our mission and one thing that we're countries. but you know you said it yourself that it's a very male dominated world. regardless distract that we see more and more women being part of the political establishment how hard was it for you to get where you are. well. i think it wasn't an easy way all the time i had to prove myself through my dictation i studied architecture and i also through teaching at the university to both male and female. you know understand some of that respect and. understanding that the women in. their partnership and the development of this country so

i think it wasn't that hard because also we had her highness. too but always was the first lady and she was so much passionate about women empowerment and they have already embedded this in their own sons and leaders and also in the society so when the community is understanding of the women rule it becomes easier for them to sit and listen and also to join forces why do you think that some muslim nations are more open minded and promoting women's rights than others they all have very different pace to when it comes promote it promoting women why is that i mean all of them practice the same religion most of them live by sharia law why is to pay so different. you know this number is based on equality and actually our common most than any other time.

it's not religion related and it's not only in countries all over the world you will find that there are differences in the way sometimes women is looked at or even sometimes she is right it doesn't it's not only related to religion there are many regions that are not islam creatures. woman is deprived from even her simplest rights i think also. that it's related to education more it's related more to poverty sometimes it's more to society to some traditions that have not advanced a religion so you have said that there is no gender gap in your country can a woman in your country get the top job become the prime minister for instance that is the big question here in russia can a woman ever be president any time soon what about your country. now i think you know as you could have said that the beginning. have been going to speak and my
