said it was. made explosive device and although that may sound rather crude you've got at least ten people killed and dozens injured and already more than thirty had hospital as the emergency services are clearly working as quickly and effectively as they know the kremlin reacting very quickly to this as well putin offering his sincere is condolences and his his presidential spokesman mr pascoe well not ruling out a possible act of terror. crews are expected to arrive at the scene within the next two or three hours i would say that these are local pictures we've received now from local t.v. crews there these are the latest ones we've got you can see the type of building

students but we now know of course that at least fifty have been injured and it also a student also then goes on to say that those gunman or say three bags of explosives let's just run through this again what we know so far because we're trying to trying to piece it together as we go along with it but it around eleven forty five it's thought that gunshots were heard at this technical college in curch at around midday we're told there was an explosion initially it was we heard it was just one explosion potentially gas explosion but now piecing together what students and teachers have said it appears they would see then we have this very graphic account we've just received you said that the first explosion happened at the canteen and then right after that gunman a paid running after the bathrooms were told that they had masks on their faces it was impossible to see the nationalities this person said. there were so many of

them so it gives you an idea it's not just one or two there but it's also a case of conflicting reports as well so so we have this report from one of the alleged students to talk to our producers here at r.t. international there are also reports in social media indicating that it was one culprit around twenty years old who had a twelve gauge rifle so we are getting conflicting reports at the moment maybe we don't know where the students were at the time whether the different parts of the building whether one just saw one. gunman but it could be this student we've heard from now. was in the canteen or near the canteen and at that point they said that they saw gunmen running after numerous numerous coming out of the bathrooms with balaclavas or some sort of face covering so they couldn't be identified allegedly throwing bags of explosives allegedly firing off guns as well and this is so clearly if there if it's true that there was a group of these so-called gunmen coming out of the bottom as this sounds like

just mentioned all those under the rubble have now. been recovered we are told and so it's as you think about as. it's quite terrifying that one of our witness accounts from the canteens this one witness saying that the blast was in the canteen or a blast was in the canteen and then apparently a gunman with their faces covered came pouring out of the local bathrooms the toilets and started shooting at both students and teachers were reportedly throwing bags of dynamite as bizarre as the sounds the students in the area of the canteen of course were going to be getting stranger reports coming from witnesses one person it depends on where they were on the campus it depends what they saw at the given time one person saying that there was only one culprit possibly they're saying c.c.t.v. camera perhaps got one guy with a gun then you got another person saying they were gunmen so we're working hard to

get you the information on this is all t.v. crew we're bearing down on the scene. just give you some information the college that we're looking at here it does look like a relatively old building in fact it was founded in the one nine hundred to one of the oldest colleges in the city obviously need to have started we don't we're not sure exactly how many students were in this building today it was a busy. academic days you can issue like any other term they would be new academic stars but over the years some twenty thousand students have graduated from it and next year ever for the students we've told you from role they're so popular call each in eastern crimea. but a very very sad day there today a very serious situation unfolding and we're getting i mean city of course also information coming in across the spectrum of the social media platforms as well the

local media in fact just local media not social media posting it on verified video of who some say is the director of the poly technic college. so do we i believe we have this unverified video this unverified video that we can show now here on our t.v. some saying is the director of the polytechnic college. we should look to but i could have been dead now all my people were shot down children die my colleagues. so she was saying the children's children were shot so it seems to be confirmation it does

cooperate doesn't it with another eyewitness account we heard all say somebody was near the canteen when explosion happened she says she then said that gunmen ran after the bathrooms and started shooting so that does seem to corroborate with. the what eyewitness account we have just heard let's talk to dr doug weeks now he's a terrorism expert and he joins us here on r.t. i think he's on the line now. as dark weeks right. thanks for coming in so quickly here at all of the international that terrorism is not being ruled out at this point is that what it looks like to you well the reports. are very preliminary and water him permission but you know. going to be an act of terrorism the question though is going to be what is the motivation behind the act not you know certainly that. in fact acts of terrorism. could be anything from perhaps just some. are wanting to push back and make
