12:00 pm
divisions emerge in the u.s. media this time of a video of a c.n.n. reporter released by the white house some accuse the journalist of an attack others say the material has been doctored. white women in texas face accusations of betraying feminist values after casting votes in favor of the state's republican candidate. i'm very tired of being castigated as some sort of racist simply based on my skin color who are you who interests are you represent if you're only as a white woman representing the best interests of other white women then we absolutely have a problem absolutely. and the taliban makes
12:01 pm
a rare appearance of high level peace talks on afghanistan in moscow this friday saying it was a success and ready to meet again the only news channel to speak to the representatives following the meeting. because. we have we want to do some. really. good evening and welcome you're watching the international. press secretary has released a video which she says justifies banning c.n.n. reporter jim acosta from the white house some called it doctored to manipulate it but others saw it as proof of the journalist inappropriate behavior and debate is raging in the media over whose side to take. let's go live to new york now and
12:02 pm
speak to a correspondent caley moping kind of just take is that what is it with the fuss about we have a situation here in the united states where two sides of the political spectrum view a video clip differently so essentially we have sarah huckabee sanders the white house press secretary she has removed the credentials of jim acosta a c.n.n. reporter for what she says was an inappropriate placing of hands on a white house staffer she posted this video in order to defend her decision let's take a look we stand by our decision to revoke this individual's hard pass we will not tolerate the inappropriate behavior clearly documented in this video.
12:03 pm
now according to many people the video that she used in order to justify her decision was apparently taken from the right wing website info wars and according to many critics of sarah huckabee sanders they say this video is doctored now she on the other hand she defends the video and the contributor who made the video the contributor he says that he simply zoomed in and then the re uploading of the video decreased the quality so he zoomed in on the placing of hands and that the re upload kind of decrease the quality of the video let's reveal it isn't doctored it isn't sped up it isn't slowed down all i did was assuming look at it again is this an example of someone doctoring the clip to change its meaning no it's virtually identical is it won't hundred percent identical no video compression is going to
12:04 pm
result in it looking marginally different. now this came from trump's most recent press conference jim acosta a reporter from c.n.n. was asking donald trump questions about the migrant caravan he asked his fourth follow up question to president trump and at that point president trump did not want to continue engaging with the reporter and when they were going to take the microphone away from them he resisted that let's take a look really quickly at what happened to you on one of the statements that you made in the tail end of the campaign that this caravan was an invasion why did you why did you characterize it as such do you think that you demonized immigrant it's your campaign had an ad showing migrants climbing over walls it wasn't there hundreds of miles away there hundreds and hundreds of more along the way that i thought it invaded and honestly i think you should let me run the country you run c.n.n. and if you didn't well your ratings let me ask you if i may ask one of the question
12:05 pm
is present right for me i don't know how are you worried i should know that sort of president i think that's an ask one of the other folks that said. now some people have looked at the clip and agreed with sarah huckabee sanders and attacked acosta for being what they sow allege was essentially disrespectful to the president others however have looked at the clip and said this was simply a unfortunately position arm this was not in a ten intended assault and said that actually it's sarah huckabee sanders who should resign if she's violating the freedom of the press and free speech rights of this reporter let's review the m.s.m. mainstream media reaction it just is it crosses a line you don't put your hands i don't want him a cost to sort of wrestling this young white house intern jim acosta clearly never touched that white house and so that's just a lie and what i saw was a battery not by jim acosta but by that young white house aide if you can use a fake video use a fake video if you go all the way do something like this. so
12:06 pm
what do you see in the video clip if you look at that clip do you see an inappropriate touching or an assault or do you see simply an arm it's in the wrong place and some confusion about the microphone that depends where you are on the political spectrum now many will recall similar instances like this in the united states where people on of one political view see one thing and people of another political view see another thing they'll recall the famous dress controversy some people looked at the dress and saw black and blue others looked at the dress and saw gold and white so essentially it just depends where you are in the political spectrum what you see but at the moment when americans look at that clip they see two different things people that are supporters of the president say one thing people that are that are critics of the president and admirers of c.n.n. see another thing the same clip is circulating different versions of it but at the
12:07 pm
same point the same video that was circulating and people have a very different impression during is the debate over jim vehicles that are in new york. the u.s. is still reeling from its face the disputed midterm elections will the democrats win control of the house but fail to take the senate on some key states that they had high hopes for such as in texas the republican candidate ted cruz won a tight battle and now there are accusations those women who voted for cruz betrayed feminism with the vote a prominent journalist set off the debate. fifty nine percent of what women voted for tom cruise fifty three percent of white women voted for donald trump so given this numbers who is the real foods of feminism this is just the latest criticism of republican voting women by liberals and progressives who has a few other examples where it's happening why are women even voting for him yeah i
12:08 pm
don't get you ladies i meant the country's fifty five percent women i mean the country was pretty. well we have tons of black presidents when i see women doing that i think why are they publicly disrespecting themselves voted against hillary clinton voted against their own voice. and by your vote for anybody nobody you are a woman and you are never going to get it and hillary looked. at it. and i did it. she scared me we put the issue of feminism in politics with a women's rights advocate and the media commentator the tradition of women just a voting independently as they think and not based on their gender or their skin color or those kinds of things that is true independence i'm very tired of being castigated as some sort of racist simply based on my skin color and especially and
12:09 pm
especially because i happen to be the mother of a child with brown skin and so to decide that based on my skin color that i as i sounds worry what are you voting for i'm the best interests of their around here here is the person accusing makes the person accusing me the actual racist. no it says there's no such thing as reverse racism will start there but here's the issue if you're not voting in the best interest of that but you get the rule around child that you have then here's the question what type of mother are you because here's the question at the end of the day we want children to be protected so we need gun laws that reflect that if you're voting against the interest of your own child in school then we have to raise the question what are you voting for the second red flag i don't care how many of your do you have other women and their reproductive rights when you know that ted cruz is not interested in protecting protecting reproductive rights when you know that ted cruz is not interested in
12:10 pm
equal pay for other women and you know that women who are brown skin and women of other ethnicities are paid what why women are paid then i have to ask you the question who are you whose interests are you representing if you're only as a white woman were present in the best interest of other white women then we absolutely have a problem absolutely it is the republicans by the way it is the party of abraham lincoln that actually fought for civil rights and won over the democrats so if you want to vote in accordance with what is civil rights and you would want to vote republican now thirdly she brought up the issue and we don't know that those are how to is someone and we say when i was it was party sealed in there that's my stance and that's the feminine stance on that now thirdly when she's talking about how do you said of course i want to get on this affair of the limits rights of you all of that and all that has made me girls who are of boarded what about their rights if you're going to talk about women's rights what about the baby girls rights who are killed ten thousand per day every day you know i know you're blowing
12:11 pm
my mind about republicans you talk about abortion but do you protect the children while they're here if it's ok for you to lead a school full of children be shot i do because you as a woman want to have the right to bear arms but you don't protect those children who can't carry guns inside those school i mean it's insane and so would. you talk about oh well i support a man who you know ted cruz but he doesn't support by what's when you're a conservative woman you celebrate the things that you've actually accomplished based on your own you know own drive and your own freedom and your own will and your motivation and those kinds of things that's what i would rather be judged for the rather than things like going backward to things like religion and skin color and gender to me those are the whole of those are the ones that we say he's. going to stay with and we need to get really come over here and basing things on merit and accomplishment because because no matter what skin color or what gender
12:12 pm
you are you can be anything you want to be we're the freest best country wants and you know they had a real race and this that you dream thing to celebrate it for not i wanted to whine about it and to vote with their other white community and so we're going to forget about all of those things and just stand on my privileges i don't really do you resent it where he is and he wants to stand there i'd like to just say thank you to jim l. hill for for what he said i just support her as a michigan state alumni i want to say go girl. highly anticipated peace talks in afghanistan were held today in moscow a dozen countries were invited to take part the taliban was also represented the delegations leader saying the taliban will miss peace with its neighbors. the whole nation is with us and they're going to get some americans indebtedness under the cover of the british we will not call it a single american soldier in afghanistan we have. across the board us
12:13 pm

12:15 pm
a chance to talk to the head of the of ghana delegation and among other things i've asked him what do they think about american generals saying that there is no military solution to getting problems at the same time promising to go on with the offensive against taliban in afghanistan which is obviously a military action by the we have fishel washington turned down the invitation to participate in moscow event but eventually they sent a representative from the u.s. embassy here in moscow who had a status of an observer at friday's talks this is what the head of the of going to geisha has told me about that when he's coming there's no need for that again what is the. first piece should come of merced americans should be. doing ok. this is going to stand ready to talk directly to taliban with yes yes just. yes you're right thank you very obviously the situation in afghanistan is very
12:16 pm
complicated and the road towards a long awaited peace in this country could be a long and bumpy but many admit that friday's event was a very important multisided peaceful initiative that has all the potential to become a success. a must trial in germany has been launched this friday as thirty people stand accused of brutally abusing refugees at an asylum center the shocking revelations first came to light four years ago some of the worst incidents filled. late edition but there was a small leak issue that i don't quite want to follow yet. incidents allegedly took place in the town of burbank in the western part of the country prosecutors claim that the staff tormented asylum seekers both physically and psychologically images of the abuse were leaked to the media sparking an outcry social workers security guards and other stuff are among those now facing charges of assault and false imprisonment one of the accused however disputes the gravity of the claims. how do
12:17 pm
you feel about the fact that you're being accused of this. it's an exaggeration again and say more than that. the company operating the migrant center has denied claims that management turned a blind eye to the abuses saying instead a group of security guards had gone rogue a member of germany's left party was quick to point the blame at the country's migrant policy in libya said one word. police are also have to follow the constitution and to. all of human rights you cannot will the. human rights abuses and actually those senators that are just out of it and it will just step you know we're not going to manage. was it is that angela merkel
