reporters only now are we finding out about what policies were actually down there from the american perspective now throughout the entire three days there was a lot of communication of what was going on between the other countries that were there but it was the united states that we were all kind of just sitting there going what is happening what is he doing where is yet what's he going to cancel next via twitter and now we're finding out that obviously the biggest landmark case obviously when he signed the treaty with to or. place the nafta if that continues to get ratified so that's still not even a failure a real accomplishment yet but also has made a shooting ping which is just a temporary ninety day hold so if he's able to actually start getting less meaning this war that's going on between china and the us then that can be seen as a win the problem is what looks like things today doesn't always look like it tomorrow or next week or six weeks from now it's always that follow through a. little top necessary you've been following the trade war between the united states and china what came out of this trauma dinner summit because we know most of

the real work gets done at the dinner tables not at these tables in front of all the cameras so what do we get out of it like scotty said it was a temporary ninety day truce to the trade war but let's not get excited yet because looking at both statements it seems like they both both countries came out with very different expectations some saying one thing the other china saying one thing the u.s. saying another i want to break it down a little bit for you let's start with the tariffs now at least there's common ground there where they said that the u.s. will not add two hundred or more terrorists on january first like expected that's already on the two hundred billion dollars worth of goods however the u.s. said that those tariffs will be raised by twenty five percent of a deal isn't reached in the next ninety days and beijing didn't mention that deadline now the u.s. also said that both countries will immediately negotiate on the cyber theft the technology aspect and beijing really concentrated only on the trade details with commerce and no mention of technology now the u.s.

also then said that china will begin purchasing the farm energy and industrial and beijing always stuck to a more general statement that china will import more u.s. goods and u.s. farmers who are already struggling now this is a really important on the u.s. side that china will immediately restart buying u.s. article products beijing sud nothing about this and then the u.s. also forgot to mention market access on their list. and china said that both the u.s. and china will boost each other's market access and finally this was also an important one where they had a common ground they said that they were both willing and working toward denuclearization of the korean peninsula so some common ground but there still is a lot of miscommunication or i mean what that what was said i guess we don't know exactly but it's it's a lot of was was kind of the big thing i think that came out of this what you'd expect given it's made up of bankers and you know high powered bankers and high powered politicians but you know one of the big things i guess you could say is

there's a lot of called reform the very controversial world trade organization the w two you know what can we be expected is that going have any teeth or is this just all talk what are they going to reform with at least they came no consensus that it needed to be reform the u.s. is happy president still though i know there's a lot of. i guess anger or not they don't accept the multilateralism they're very much bilateral talks right now so what this could come to be we're not sure but it agreed to reform and what it will look like it could look like the china u.s. war on the truth trade war which again miscommunication one says one thing the other takes another and like scotty said things are changing daily if not hourly we need to make sure we know only the white house is touting that part of being successful for the white house i'm not in them it's a wonder that we did get one country would say one thing the other great case example first if your audience is the fifth is that you're saying that was
