got on this. well we just heard from the prime minister. she said it's one of the darkest days in the history of new zealand it's as you're saying it's not one of the darkest days in the history of new zealand one to forty people and this is really one of the world's mass shootings in the history of the world not just as you know that is unprecedented for new zealand the most important question right now is whether the people are still safe because after the lockdown the mosques were told to be shut the churches were to be shut. taxes were over flights were canceled people will be going to bed right now but the city is deserted and we don't know whether all the perpetrators have been apprehended by the police here is the latest on that from the prime minister. obviously. is in custody now so i can give that assurance he has been apprehended he is. accompanied by two

other associates he is being actively question obviously at this stage only asking people to continue to follow the advice of the police yes we have ever hinted they have been three individuals a prohibited however the police and taking for granted that the my my. my need to be born into custody. so again as we're hearing it has not been confirmed just yet that all the perpetrators are the they've been caught by the police and also what's very important here at least as the good news that the improvised explosive devices attached to the perpetrators cars were at the fuse but who knows what else is out there who knows is out there in any case in that press conference i can tell you that we also heard another strong message from the problem in a store and let's just listen to what. we new zealand. we were not a target because we are

military training but training is not enough you need to have an ideology of hate against muslims and that idea of the hate is. being presented. on daily basis on even mainstream news outlets. you have. major companies major news outlets that. in that it lead promote it's not a phobia and so you have ideology of hate you have people who are military training and the result is going to be what you see today so i hope this is a message to everybody who basically. realize. what is happening here lies the fact that. muslims are victims of terrorism as in their community and then. realize that they can.

the people who attack innocent people who engage in a slum the people who have access to weapons in use weapons to use and that want to be you basically dictates that you can kill muslims without any serious consequences you have united states government some european governments that are doing this killing muslims and daily basis what is happening in yemen for example the weapons that are used. are provided by the united states u.k. some other western countries so when you have individuals that are influenced by this culture of violence and culture of hate they look at their respective governments and they see these governments goodis basically on daily basis and they decide they can also engage in this type of activity and that's the problem we have

so we should blame the terrorists that killed apparently about forty muslims today but we should also blame the governments that. provide the training to these killers and then provide the ideology whether they realize it or not to for these people to engage in these type of activities so you cannot just blame the person who pulls the trigger you have to blame the people that set this stage for these people to do this. for the if we look at what happened during this particular attack there are reports that this suspect posted pictures of his weapons on twitter three days ago saying he was planning an attack why do you think these warning signs were missed and how and who do you think is responsible for monitoring social media it's very powerful isn't it. yes it is the intelligence services of these countries where some countries need to be monitoring these

individuals but it has there is a political decision by the governments of this country is to focus on muslims. consider. any muslim terrorist suspect and then they have limited resources so when you focus on muslims when you consider muslims to be terrorist then you don't have the money resources or the manpower to look at their terrorist organizations and that's why. even the people who engaged in this more or less an ounce what they're planning to do three days ago nobody really paid attention because nobody was able to pay attention because. the resources that are there that catered for this type of activities are not designed to find white supremacist example designed to find muslims and put muslims and the pressure that the gauge in
