if. it. trump welcomes the findings of the long awaited millet report which concludes that he did not conspire with russia to win the twenty sixteen us election there was no coming in with iraq there was no struggle. and none whatsoever. on one million people march in london against rights is hiding the pressure on the prime minister his patrol plan is already an answer. on sunday marks twenty years since nato started so-called humanitarian aid and then you the slavia and the locals see the military offensive in which thousands were killed as a regime change operation.
8:01 pm
very well welcome you watching the weekly here on r.t. international the latest headlines and a roundup of the stories that shapes the week but first president team did not conspire with russia to win the twenty sixteen u.s. election that's the key finding of special counsel robert miller's two year investigation the president has called it a complete exoneration let's bring in our he's done a quarter thanks for coming in again don could you tell us more about these findings first you know absolutely well the mainstream media for one has been harping on this investigation for months they've been saying just let's just wait for the results from the investigation now a few hours ago it came out and the government is twenty five million dollars almost three thousand subpoenas and over five hundred search warrants deep with little to show for it if anything now the main thrust of this investigation was to
8:02 pm
was basically to find evidence that donald trump was colluding with the russian government to win the two thousand and sixteen presidential election but the attorney general in this summary that he released so that there was insufficient evidence of. as the report states the investigation did not establish that the members of the trim campaign conspired or coordinated with the russian government in its election interference activities now the summary did still do finger pointing at russia it accuses the russians of successfully disseminating information to influence the outcome of the election it claims that russian generals hacked the e-mails of hillary clinton and other prominent democrats to leak information to wiki leaks now of course we haven't seen any concrete of information to affirm any of this but the attorney general does go as far to say that trump committed no crime. we noted that the special counsel recognized that the evidence does not establish that the president was involved in
8:03 pm
an underlying crime related to russian election interference and that while not determinative the absence of such evidence bears upon the president's intent with respect to obstruction so what about the obstruction of justice issue well mahler throughout this entire investigation has been trying to get donald trump on sort of trying to thwart the special counsel's to investigate him now though in the summary the attorney general's determined that he had the final say on the matter and he said that there wasn't enough evidence at all to conclude that trump committed a crime a specifically and that's because the special counsel itself said that it couldn't defend it definitively concluded that trump had had committed a crime but they also said that they didn't absolve him of one either now regardless trump seems to think that he's in the clear with it. it was just announced there was no collusion with the right the most ridiculous thing i've ever
8:04 pm
heard there was no collusion with the russians there was no up structure. and none whatsoever. and it was a complete and total exoneration. it's a shame that our country had to go through this. now donald trump song donald trump jr even lashed out on twitter at an elected bureaucrats who he said were to blame for the controversy so was the response being from the democrats well now they're claiming that the attorney general is biased in some way against the special counsel and now they're calling for a full publication of mahler's report it to any general doris letter raises as many questions as answers the fact the special counsel miller support does not exonerate the president on a charge as serious as obstruction of justice demonstrates how urgent it is that the full report and underlying documentation be made public without any further
8:05 pm
delay we will demand the release of the full report the president has not been exonerated by the special counsel yet the attorney general has decided not to go further or apparently to share those findings with the public we now call on the attorney general to honor that request to release the report and the underlying you have it is to appear before the judiciary committee to answer our questions without delay. now on the other hand mike pence praised the summaries conclusions and said the democrats should join the republicans in moving forward after the conclusions of this investigation so were two years after the beginning of it move mountains of resources were spent in investigating democrats claims that trump may have colluded with the russians and the department of justice basically says that there's almost nothing to show for it and that's where we're at ok well thanks for the update don't close out in the studio thanks. and spatial about every poll which has been

building for months. finds out whether it was all worth it. two years they spent beating and banging on the drums of collusion looking for traitors betrayal russian agents spies and sell outs and leading this righteous crusade inquisition was the champion savior a messiah of the left robert mueller all eyes are in special counsel robert muller the man who could save this democracy in the mall or investigation as the best hope for the white house is bracing bracing for the final report speculations are building wait for the model report wait for the marble i think robert mueller is going to get to the bottom of it was so much hope so much optimism that the traitors would be rooted out all for nothing ended by a letter in a plain envelope no more indictments not one american charged with colluding with
8:07 pm
russia how that hurt if you could only feel the pundits pain now come the tias robert muller is still at this point publicly silent as he has been from the very beginning honestly flip through the different news channels see for yourself the full spectrum of emotions where some cry others rage you think he missed the boat here how can they lead trump off the hook how can that happen then of course there's the nile how can this be on a single traitor unthinkable it must be a conspiracy it feels like the seeds of a coverup are here amongst the tea is the rage in the denial is also acceptance sad acceptance the good old days of burning witches are over by investigating the president and reaching conclusions he did
8:08 pm
a solid favor he's been the sunshine so thank you robert. but you can't fool everyone there are journalists loosely speaking that know better better than you me the f.b.i. and common sense they are the dauntless few the believe that the traitors are out there they will be found that the hunt goes on this is the start of something apparently not the end of something this is the end of the beginning a short moeller report would mark the end of the beginning not the beginning of the end this saga for the president as legal saga doesn't appear to be anywhere close to being over as the president hopes and while the pundits weep and cry. scream everyone else is laughing at them can you really blame them. let's bring in global affairs analyst patrick henningsen founder of twenty first century
8:09 pm
why mr henning thank you for joining us on the program so that there are reports says there was no collusion but leading democrats nancy pelosi and chuck schumer namely have released a joint statement saying the report summary raises as many questions as it all what do you think they mean by that. what i think they mean is that they want to carry this charade on for as long as possible ideally right through the twenty twenty election cycle and try to use it what they've been using it for the last two years is to discredit the president don't trump who was elected by the american people in a fair and free election in two thousand and sixteen and so i don't think there's any chance that there's going to be anything new on earth in fact if there was any compelling evidence of trump russia collusion it actually would have been on the table and into the press before the november election in two thousand and sixteen
8:10 pm
in order to maximize its benefit. jr has released a statement on the a poll is saying collusion trade says must be held to account said i quote sick and twisted conspiracy theories i do they were going to expect the asian from the trump administrated. i think i think what what this president is going to do now is to take this result or lack of a result and just use it as a stick to perpetually beat the opposition with right through the two thousand and twenty election cycle so the democrats rather than have a stick to beat the president with during the general election in two thousand and twenty the tables are now turned now the white house has the stick and it will not relent they won't let the press live it down this will allow the president to fuel his attacks on the press and kind of vindicates his accusations of fake news by
8:11 pm
c.n.n. and others and the establishment the media and so is actually going to work in his favor and it disarms this was a huge weapon the democrats would have been able to wield going into the twenty twenty election so knowing that when this domino falls now what's next next is the d.n.c. hack which a lot of people believe and have some have proven that is actually d.n.c. leak and so forth so the whole russia gate narrative and all the different variations of it or sort of crumbling right now so what about the obstruction of justice they say we have trump saying the report clayson of that charge but the report summary doesn't specifically say that so is he right. well you have to look at it this way if if the if the whole premise of the investigation was was bogus in other words the whole charade was was kind of a high tech lynching a fraud on on different levels because after all this is an investigation or probe
8:12 pm
that basically was arresting people indicted or subpoenaing people bringing in people in search of crimes and when you actually do a proper lawful investigation you feel you look for evidence and then you then go and find the people and then you bring them in for questioning and then you and i determine whether there's a crime they already did determine whether there's a crime so to to try to accuse trump of obstructing a probe that was most likely waged on of fraudulent basis fraudulent five to warrants that were used or put in place after stitching up george stop papadopoulos through this other dodgy part of the story that has an actually fully been on earth yet ok that's like basically. accusing somebody of resisting a false arrest so the original investigation the premise of it is very weak in beyond dubious and then zeus' to say that trump was obstructing that would be like
8:13 pm
saying someone is resisting false arrest so it just doesn't really stack up to common sense and so what do you feel it's on the media's role little things so much time so much money has been spent on this story and so many and again says of turned out to be untrue so do you think they made it themselves have questions to answer. this is basically the deja vu moment for the journalistic class they had sort of perpetuate the same failure during the two thousand and sixteen election cycle in other words they all reported that hillary clinton was going to win by a landslide and sort of dial down a lot of the real polling numbers misreport. inflated exaggerated omitted and all of these things led and helped to actually get donald trump of the surprise victory that he won in november twenty sixth seen and so here they are they doubled down on that bad practice in two thousand and sixteen and this is what you get so in
8:14 pm
a way this result is much worse than the election itself because they didn't learn their lesson racially so they've never framed the president they framed his staff cabinet appointees associates and even his supporters of being russian agents basically it's the most ludicrous this is the biggest political hoax in the history of the united states that history will remember it exactly like that two and a half years of a complete fabricated political hoax that was waged on for a number of reasons i'm not saying this is simple at all it's a very complex case information's been laundered we're not even getting to talk about the steel dossier and all the people who were involved in laundering that document which was used to discredit and sort of knock the president down twenty or thirty opinion poll points even before he was inaugurated in january twenty
8:15 pm
seventeen so there's a lot of aspects to this that haven't actually been cleared up yet and i think there's a chance that they might start investigating though that side of things and if they do this could trigger a political civil war during the two thousand and twenty elections and of course that all the money that was spent as well around twenty five million dollars of taxpayers' money was spent on that investigation had to be justified yeah that the money is just a small part of it the twenty five million on paper in reality a tremendous amount of political capital has been expended not only that the value of the media coverage that was dedicated to. it's essentially a fraudulent investigation that if truth be known if they did in an internal audit of some of the practices of this you're talking about perversion of justice with the f.b.i. and the department of justice so this is these are two essential agencies that the
8:16 pm
public depend on for due process and conducting things fairly and properly the media has expended all of this air time billions and billions of dollars worth of air time that could have been spent on real issues real public issues things that are important for america so in that didn't happen instead you have them chasing a phantom menace for two and a half years for with nothing to show other than bad will and more political division as a result leben if as honest patrick having said and found a twenty first century why thank you for your time thank you. to a million people marched across london on saturday calling for a second bricks at referendum along with the public members of parliament also attended the protest the rally comes off the e.u. need as agreed to give the u.k. a short extension to the withdrawal deadline with polygons having twice rejected the prime minister's deal. that stuff just so fast got us nowhere stop the nothing
8:17 pm
stop an international laughingstock i would she needs to listen to me say i feel really passionately we've been really really like our friend syrian leaving we need to state that i believe the majority nowadays. of the new people put this up for this great didn't even have a plan and never had a plan it's a shame that we're in this mess but. i don't think there's anyone in the labor party at the top of the labor party who's really taken control of. most of the forensic files of the prime minister has now been given a short extension of two weeks if she fails to get a deal through but that will be moved to may the twenty second if she does however the pm has warned she will put off a vote until she can be guaranteed enough support in westminster and that's thrown greg zits into further disarray.
8:18 pm
8:19 pm
changing plans multiple times at the e.u. council summit and finally a decision that was reached officially and that was an extension of article fifty until the twenty second of may conditional of course of to resume a passing up plan through the house of commons should that fail as the e.u. council has provided for a further extension of the twelfth of april for the u.k. to come forward and come up with a plan and a process of what exactly to do next that also the sort of course if they do intend to participate in the european parliamentary elections something which a would be rather pointless given their leaving the european union and be something that's a reason why he has said that would be almost a red line for something that she would not consider now to say that this decision was an easy one or a unanimous one at least from the very start would be misleading and they were quite different positions on the e.u. council countries such as belgium and france president micron for one playing
8:20 pm
hardball stating that a no deal breaks it was still on the table others such as angle are called playing a more conciliatory tone calling for more understanding of the u.k. we discussed the issue with political consulting klansmen morass hearsays every step in the brags that process is making the situation more complicated. when briggs it was first announced as an idea as a concept and there was no meat on the bone as to what the concept of what the process actually would mean and we start off in a place with such uncertainty is no surprise us to the situation room now so unless the identity of briggs it is made clear to be disruptions and stalling methods will only continue i think the sentiment right now in parliament is that. it's almost an impossibility of this deal going through and if it does go through it will go through under very pressured measures which means peace in parliament
8:21 pm
won't vote with what they believe is to be the best way for forward but will do it because the time pressures are so tight which always holds parliament to run and saying this is the only deal we have and you better put it through because you're certainties are too big and too widespread to even imagine. a recap of our top story now president trumps team did not conspire with russians to win the twenty sixteen us election that's the key finding of special counsel robert miller's two year investigation president trump has welcomes the report saying this wasn't an illegal takedown that failed it's a complete exoneration of collusion obstruction he said the report was filed with the justice department on friday and a full page summary was released by the attorney general would bring a new reaction and analysis to this developing story over the coming hours searching for that. last monday marked a twenty years since nato starts does
