the federal government without the president threatening to take an emergency action is a failure on everybody's part both the democrats and the republicans i'm not in favor of an emergency action because i think it's a bad precedent and should not be used for common governmental actions like keeping our borders secure but i also would put a pox on the house of the democrats in not agreeing to any reasonable solution to give us better border security in the in the interim ryan the president is moving to turn some five hundred million dollars in u.s. assistance to salvador honduras and guatemala one of the potential economic in global standing implications for the united states yes guatemala honduras and el salvador larry i think that's what fox news refers to as three mexican countries right now. i don't think look the president's if you want to call it a plan i don't think the president is really thinking this out very well number one this idea of shutting down the border is absolutely ridiculous it goes to show once

again that this president has no grasp no grasp whatsoever of the financial economic ramifications that are happening here republicans are scared to speak out too much but there's not a one of them who was a fan of this yes we have some problems along the border shutting down the border is ridiculous withholding aid from these countries is ridiculous all of these measures can only hurt the american people that's that's all they do i mean this is where we're we're right back in the same territory as trump's tariffs which he thought would be very punitive to the countries that he's placing the tariffs on it's not it's been just as punitive to us and i think we're right back in that same position it's. the do you want to see them flow more report. i don't larry i want to see most of it i want to see all classified and national security information that is important to to keep secret kept secret and i want innocent parties that are not going to be indicted for any

criminal activity protected from public disclosure i don't think either one of those things are necessary to view the vast majority the moeller report and take an assessment as to not on the collusion charge which they've already said that they're not going to charge the president or find any evidence of that but on the the obstruction charge how much is out there and let the american people make up their mind in a fair minded way exactly what the president his family and his staff all did along those lines clearly there's not going to be any imminent activity and they've already indicted and convicted everybody they're going to pursue within the inquiry but i think americans have a right before the next election to look at is as much of this report as possible without divulging damaging national security and privacy information do you think brian i would agree with george i think the american people deserve to see the full redacted report at least i think our congress our members of congress deserve to see the full report and you know i don't really understand why this is

a fight it's just a couple of weeks ago that the house voted on this they voted four hundred twenty to nothing to see this full report this is a major deal this is a presidential campaign whether or not donald trump is guilty or innocent of collusion and they're saying he's innocent of that and that's good i'm grateful nobody wants to see their president guilty of colluding with the russians to throw an election however larry it is a presidential campaign that produced thirty seven indictments thirty seven indictments as a result of this campaign we deserve to see what's in that report it's four hundred pages and i'm not going to stand for a four page summary that's ridiculous george. do you think the president will let them respond to those who do. i think there's an awful lot of political posturing going on right now when in a matter of weeks the attorney general's going to provide everything that should be provided out there for everybody to assess so i think it's it's back to the silly

season i think people are just posturing and i have i have confidence in the way the attorney general has conducted himself so far that he's going to do this in an american way not a partisan or a political hack way and that americans will be able to look at it all they need to look at within this report to make a valid objective judgment as to how much wrongdoing there is and how much should be let go and we should move on friday and joe biden is his some political room fasces. you know the interesting thing about this larry is that joe biden has always been like this and he doesn't try to hide this behavior there's numerous incidents in nationally televised events where he's being very i guess hanzi is the term you would use that's just the way he is what i find incredibly hypocritical about this entire debate is i would like to remind the american people that the president of the united states donald trump has been accused sixteen times of

sexually assaulting women sixteen times joe biden has never been accused of sexually assaulting a woman he's absolutely guilty of having some weird behaviors the analogy i used on my radio show i know grown men who to this day kiss their fathers and mothers on the lips to me that's really weird to them it's completely normal so joe biden i think is definitely guilty of some odd behavior the whole smelling hair and rub shoulders i don't really understand it but it's not sexual assault which is something our president has been accused of sixteen times do you make of it. i've thought a lot about this larry and because it's it we're in such a shrill caustic environment on every type of behavior and there's a lot of great things about the me too movement but there's a lot of collateral damage too and i think what's behind all this is bernie sanders and his people i think that he views president biden and congressman o'rourke as

his two biggest threats to getting the nomination i think they're all still really bitter that they lost out to hillary last time around due to a lot of unfair play behind the scenes and i think they're taking shots at their two biggest rivals early and often to try to weaken them so bernie can get the nomination i think he's out to win this time not just make it a good showing of it and from the conservative side of the aisle a burnie elizabeth warren ticket would be a dream team we would love that so i hope he's really successful blinded by that. yeah you know what i think i think george is on to something there and i have a lot of concerns with what with what liberals and democrats are doing to themselves i think they're eating their own and if there's one positive thing i can say about the republican party and i think george would agree with me on this they know how to win ok the republican party knows how to win and these if it's i don't know if it's the bernie axe i don't know if it's the far left wing of the democratic party who's throwing these allegations out there trying to eat their own

i guess i would buy ended up being pretty right about. what we're made of you think it well. i think you know as we discussed that day i am. i was unsurprised by that sort of. that underbelly of. anger that i think led to and discontentment that led to the trump presidency and we had discussed that you know your your experience during the campaign back in the ninety's when watching ross perot and sort of catapulting ross perot into into prominence and knowing that they're very much exists this anti authoritarian anti two party system. sort of blood line in the us and i think the time the time was just right the iron was hot and and he knew how to speak to those people we also discussed how you thought your show newsroom would have dealt with the term presidency how do you how do you suppose the whole media coverage of

this presidency since it's all the media covers. well that's the thing it is all of the media covers i have some concerns frankly about the media coverage because i think on some level the media has been buying into the sort of circus atmosphere of the presidency rather than dealing with the cold hard facts and dealing with some of the concerning. parts some of the concerning things that we have seen come out of this or this presidency in this administration i mean there are some very serious questions that need to be asked about security clearance or some very serious questions and need to be asked about international diplomacy how and why we're doing or not doing things why we do or do not have certain ambassadors and areas and those things are getting sort of completely buried by this this sort of insatiable need to participate in the reality show that is the day to day operations of this white house and it's concerning as

a citizen i want my news is you know i think it's essential as a citizen in a democracy that our news be able to provide us with the information the clear hard cold hard fact in factual information we need in order to make informed decisions moving forward when syriac shouldn't tums to what's happening on the u.s. so the more than. i think that we have a humanitarian crisis. really surging up from south america and taking place in a lot of central america that has been going on that has been building for a long time i think that we as a country and we as a society have had quite a hand in some of the. problems that have caused these displacement crises in the south i mean our our central and southern american policy over the past you know thirty forty years has been. pretty intense when you start to go back and really unravel it we've we've not necessarily been the best of neighbors down there

and. we know there are some real issues that are that are going to be presenting themselves not only to ourselves as a country but to our neighbors to the south as well. i mean there are big problems down there anyway you know do i believe that there is an immigration crisis no i not necessarily the way that it's being painted but i think that. our focus and our need to to pay better attention to what we are doing how we are behaving in what ways we can be a better assistance to the south will provide long term dividends and we should have started a while ago are you concerned about trump's threat to shut down the border. i think i as somebody who deals with and works closely with refugee organizations i think that shutting down the southern border to immigration you know i think that when i think we talked about this maybe last time too that there is there is

a tendency in this administration to. a lie on immigration and refugees and those two things are different they're legally different they're they're very different in terms of what the needs and. what our responsibilities are as as a country to the people who are fleeing so yeah i if it's sort of a carte blanche we're just not letting anybody you know across the border not letting anybody come across the border we're going to completely dismiss our legal . obligations to refugees and asylum seekers then i have some serious concerns about that. and i you know i think that at at this moment that seems to be where this administration is tilting. right you're gunmen have a refuses we're about in the international network for aid relief in this instance so in our provides lifesaving in life lifesaving and life altering medical

assistance to refugee children most of them right now coming out of syria and what they do is they they find these kids in camps or in syria itself kids who have been . brutally brutally injured in war and conflict or through living in the camps just through you know accidents or very severe things because of the life that they have to live in these refugee camps and they take them bring them into lebanon provide free medical treatments and and keep you know keep up with these kids afterwards ensuring that not only do they get the surgery but they get all of the things that they need afterwards in order to really turn their lives around and in a lot of cases save their lives it's a tremendous organization that was started by c.n.n. . senior correspondent arwa damon it's a fledgling organization it's just sort of getting off the ground in the last

couple of years but they're doing a tremendous amount of good and in a place that. really needs it desperately and we're hoping that through our work will be able to not only expand our or efforts in the syrian refugee population but will be able to expand past that. you know take it into turkey take it into sub-saharan africa and places where kids are really. unfortunately bearing the burden of war and conflict here also in them better suited for war child usa what is that so war child usaid sort of attacks the same problem from a different angle more child provides education employment and criminal justice. assistance to women and children who are caught in conflict what they do is they go into these conflict regions they go into these communities and they work with the local community to bring the community up so it's actually

a pretty tremendous way of going about doing things there isn't this sort of savior is a more paternalism complex that you run into a lot unfortunately with n.g.o.s where you know places people go in not really knowing the situation on the ground or the you know the various different mores on the ground and actually can in the long term end up doing damage even with the best of intentions were child actually takes a very different tack they go in they use the local community they use the local expertise in order to build up the community starting with children and women who are the most unfortunately the most. affected in conflict and they've had tremendous success over the years they work on a much more global scale warchild is all over the place in africa and in places in southeast asia and i believe there are expanding into south and central america as well. ok until you and i get to new york in may i'm going to come and see white

heart of the matter and i'm just incredibly proud to be a part of it i'm a credibly proud to be able to stand up there on stage every night and speak the words of an artist that talented. can we just see it coming but the thing is the democratic presidential field is getting big d.m. favor. at this point it's impossible to sort of name a favorite i'll be really curious to see as. as it as it continues to grow which i believe it will and then when it eventually starts to slough off but i will tell you that i am genuinely thrilled at the diversity of the candidates that are out there right now i think i'm very excited at the amount of ideas that are being brought forth and i'm hoping that the democrats will put up a candidate that will be able to win and here we go again do you think trun could win again yes sir i absolutely do. i absolutely do i in fact

i i'd say at this point there's probably a better than fifty percent chance because. i don't know that the left has done a good enough job consolidating its ideas i don't know that the left has done a good enough job talking about the issues that this presidency has raised i think that you know in the past conservatives and the activist wright did a really really great job talking about the potential of an imperial presidency in the obama administration only to sort of allow it to actually happen in the trump presidency and i don't know that the left has really glom onto that i think what. they've sort of allowed themselves to do is become obsessed with this idea that robert muller could save everybody by releasing this report that would sort of you know be the the the grand save yourself and it just isn't hasn't happened so i think that you know ideas about health care ideas about diversity ideas about why
