cracked soon after it was discovered that poor performance power grid was not in any real danger in the russia actually had made no attempt to hack it whatsoever now let's flash forward to today when this week and the new york times revealed to the world that the us military has hacked into russia's power grid the times reports that american strategy has shifted more toward offense officials say with the placement of potentially crippling malware inside the russian system at a depth and with them aggressiveness that have never been tried before so hard watchers it appears that essentially the u.s. government is now freely admitting to doing to the russians exactly what we accused them of doing to us in 2016 but unlike 2016 this isn't some madcap russia good conspiracy theory courtesy of rachel just left of alex jones maddow this is a very real cold war 2.0 escalation with very dangerous implications and potential
10:31 am
real world catastrophe on the line which means it's time we start watching the hawks. to. get the. real deal it's like. as if they were to do. what they like you know that i got. with. this. because i. welcome everyone to watch in the hearts i am tyrrel ventura and i'm top of the lot so one of the things i find most interesting is the times also reports that the you know president donald trump wasn't briefed on the operation because there is that the possibility that he might counter. and it or discuss it with
10:32 am
foreign officials now 2 things come to mind i mean one obviously like it or not trump is the commander in chief is the head even of the u.s. military. you can't just decide what he is or isn't allowed to see and then if you're so concerned that he's going to tell 7 the russians why do you tell the new york times. critic point seriously. the luger own i don't know what started out that. absolutely ridiculous and that is that what we don't want to tell the president who was like you said his commander in chief he's the top guy like he runs the military but we're going to do ops without him and that plays up huge in those people who are you know concerned about the state of the military you know doing things under the nose of the president but not telling and that raises a lot of red flags put it turned out to tell the new york times that is hilarious
10:33 am
yes but it's the i don't know that works so well i don't know if it works well and i'm not sure that it you know we were slice of this great deep state that was going to keep things different up. and you know it was. a lousy day. to organize none whatever. telling the new york times that you know no maybe no one reads of anywhere so they figure they reckon if. you get out at. there go there go you know what is interesting taboo is actually and this is what really creeped me out is they're actually saying that not telling trump is actually legal thanks because you would think that like he would have authority and he should know this and should be illegal if you don't tell the president what the military is doing especially something that could put us in the world war 3 so they're saying that it's actually legal thanks to a new legal authority that they kind of slipped into the military authorization bill last year that was passed by congress the measure actually approves the
10:34 am
routine conduct of clandestine military activity in cyberspace to deter safeguard or defend against attacks or malicious cyber activities against the united states. that leaves a big wide hole you could drive a whole truck through carrying a missile if you wanted to or a cyber attack if only somebody had resisted all of this super pro military. transparency of america somebody that actually resisted that kind of on home. one of these things that i find interesting too is this defending forward so there it is the style of defense is what the military officials call defend forward and under those laws what happens is that the actions cannot be authorized by the defense secretary without presidential approval. if we're defending forward i'll remember that the next time i slap someone across the face i'm
10:35 am
defending forward some i don't believe they're going to let me let me let me years that as a defense i was defending forward. yeah you don't you don't think that would work to have them in hey you know if the pentagon can do it you know we we can go in hack into somebody else electrical grid and potentially shut them down if we choose to but you know hey defending forward like you said you can go up and slap someone else just say well i was just defending forward. but excuse it sounds like it's not military style pentagon doublespeak to like allow office of maneuvers but then let's put it in the guise of all we're just doing in the name of defense. i give the new york times this at the end of that article they actually posed some really interesting questions they said quote the question now is whether placing the equivalent of landmines in a foreign power network is the right way to deter russia while it parallels cold
10:36 am
war nuclear strategy it also is a big point it also enshrines power grids now as the legitimate combat target in this cold war. that's dangerous in my opinion although you feel oh no i love it why not why not just make everything a legitimate target i mean if we weren't a 1st world nation in the united states everything would be a legitimate targets it's only outside of it so maybe maybe this is what happens when you keep making these threats and this idea that they're going to magically get russia to magically do everything i guess hand over all their money and and bend the knee to the united states some it's not going to happen i got a feeling that poking around in their power grid probably not going to do much not going to help too much either. oh i can see because now it kind of gives them the green light to do the same if they so choose they're doing it then we can do it to you and that's how the school ation things works i love you better than me by the
10:37 am
way because that is totally this is like you know the merest jerry and gary i'll diplomacy we're seeing right now well i guess if it works for way awkward. according to a new report from the c.p.d. formally known as the carbon disclosure product project 215 of the world's biggest corporations project that they could face nearly one trillion in costs related to climate risk with over half of those costs expected to materialize in the next few years what that means is massive job losses from the energy sector to farming and beyond which is why so many states are looking to green energy solutions of a way to shore up employment and low income minority and rural communities like illinois clean energy jobs act which calls for clean energy workforce development hubs throughout the state and adds more to the work done with their 2016 future energy jobs that natural resources defense council advocate j c kitty told the
10:38 am
press we're in visioning this is a comprehensive pipeline with training on the front end jobs on the back and not just a training program in isolation the plan looks to not only help transition coal miners in rural southern areas of illinois but also those who work in coal power plants in urban areas of chicago by doing this they could actually end up tackling the racial and gender and equity currently seen in the new green sector jobs simply by providing opportunities to all who need them where they need them. wow you know what really strikes me struck me about this is. you have been actually talking about the need for true green energy jobs and training in those jobs for as far back as i can remember and our friendship you have always brought up this is something. for both rural and city you know communities that don't make a lot of money have lost a lot of industry you've always talked about this i mean it's amazing seeing this
10:39 am
come to fruition you know i mean it's the one thing that you really have to understand if you know energy costs rise as we saw in new ways of doing that outside of a large energy grid i think rural areas are going to be moving more into renewables so they don't have to depend on where these large grids should really only be powering large cities where we can do things on a smaller scale and do that with jobs i mean the solar foundation and the solar energy industries association says the right now even after a little bit of work over the last couple of years that those the solar workforce right now is about 74 percent male and 73 percent white that 2 years after the future energy jobs act legislation was passed in illinois and this is a place that has 20 over $2900.00 solar installation jobs and almost $5000.00 total solar jobs in the state i think it's an interesting incubator the idea is getting people really having these process of of being able to get trained for
10:40 am
a job then have the ability to get into that job and then for small business. completely right i mean it's amazing when you told me those numbers really blows my mind i mean really green energy so white really the very way that's the tragedy of this was because they tended to go into as middle income you know suburban neighborhoods that tended to be fairly white those are the people that could afford to put the solar panels on their on their houses they were the 1st one to get loans to invest in businesses that put them in. that's so true that is so so true it's interesting when you look you know what illinois is putting together with this you know illinois clean energy drawbacks i mean to have it demands 45 percent . $2312050.00 which is what we've seen is that kind of range when people talk about climate change the c.j. bill demands increased energy storage demand response energy efficiency rate
10:41 am
structures and other programs to make that. happen to renewables happen quickly in illinois and that's to me is the most important. yeah and that's the thing that people forgot is how are we going to get to the point part of getting to that point is the slow build up along the way of understanding each point where this becomes an issue not just in making the solar panels or or whatever product is being made it's how do we store it how can we use this on a larger scale hockley's on a small scale and some of it is building large places so there's construction there's everything and the one good thing about this new bill that adds on to the to the to the last bill is that this clean energy jobs act one of the things that they were saying is. that there would be incentivize and prioritize what they call onsite distributed generation and products that are 100 percent low
10:42 am
income subscriber owned including low income households not for profit organizations and affordable housing owners as well as projects 100 percent owned by households located in environmental justice communities so what you have is you had a couple of these coal processing plants right in chicago right in very poor predominantly african-american neighborhoods so not only were they poisoning them with everything that was going on there but they also were taking the time to not realize that that was a job that was being lost to the people in that community and so bringing these things back and making solar affordable for everyone bringing down the cost of energy and then also doing this thing of really understanding that you're not for profits you're public housing that these things should be on green energy and that every one of those saying that it's saving money we're saving time we're saving the environment it just gets easier and easier. to me
10:43 am
a absolute no brainer i mean when you look at it it's like you're saving people from those extra energy bills that they have to pay for more energy can be poured into like their own success in their own financial stability that number one you're bringing jobs back and i mean i hope that other states around the country look at what illinois is doing and say hey let's make this even better let's build on the back of what they're doing and expand it even further because it's the future of this idea that we're going to hold the coal mining jobs or all these like you know old jobs of the past that are based in you know the burning of chemicals that are destroying our planet i'm sorry we've got to get away from that got to get away from it well they do so much for joining me from minnesota they go on my own way always a pleasure to. thank you so much as we go to break up watchers have got to let us know what you think of the topics we've covered on facebook and twitter that are coming up i think america's john honey brings us the latest on the situation with iran and artemis takes us to the moon and beyond. to washington.
10:44 am
why a paradise with so much. turned into round the experimentation field thank the cultural chemicals we know that these chemicals have consequences they are major here to there's no question otherwise why would that the chemical company workers themselves be geared up that suited up locals attempt to combat the on regulated experiments that often in day you have many of these people one for. into the

biotech pharma and the other foot in the government regulatory bodies this kind of collusion is reprehensible while the battle goes on the chemicals continue to poison hawaii and its people so one has to ask the question whether there is a form of environmental research going on in hawaii whether these companies feel they can get away with this because the people have less political power. so what is it calling the coin is magic and the new type of digital currency essential lies digital scarcity chancellor bring a 2nd bailout for bankers call that got us a lot for a reason civil disobedience a source of optimism because i can control my own financial destiny it's just a new way of coming to consensus is a game changer in the human history this is columbus discovering

a new world this paradigm shifting technology that transforms economics and finance in a heartbeat the apollo 11 landing. to the max and stacey. we came here where did you work before you came here when you lived. in many us states capital punishment is still practiced convicted prisoners can spend years waiting for execution but most of the time the victims' families they are very much in favor the death penalty there are some people because of what they did have given up the right to live among us some even proven innocent years on death row and how many more exonerations is it going to take before we as a society realize that this is not working and we actually do something about.

iran announced today that plans to increase its enrichment of uranium possibly breaking the 2015 nuclear agreement and adding another complicated layer to a dangerous escalation and rhetoric between the u.s. and they're in this as u.s. officials continue to blame iran for last week's attack on 2 tankers in the gulf of oman while other world powers are urging the u.s. and its allies to quell the tense situation that some fear may route into something even more volatile here with the latest is r t correspondent john hardy thanks for joining us john. my pleasure the big step so john what exactly is around saying right now in saying that they're going to up its enrichment of uranium. well yeah i'll break it down for you and kind of give you the you know the summarize version of this today tabitha the spokesman for iran's atomic energy agency said that the country would basically increase its enriching uranium stockpile to essentially
10:48 am
exceed the limits that were set in the 2015 nuclear deal the j c p o as it's called basically upping the ante and and the showdown in the ongoing kind of battle of words and rhetoric between the u.s. and iran along with i should mention u.s. allies against iran and all this is well under the terms of the joint comprehensive plan of action and jay c.p.o. a iran agreed to reduce its nuclear capabilities limiting the number of uranium enriched centrifuges and then also restricting its efforts to enrich uranium to no more than 3.67 percent i'm not going to get into all of the you know the physics here and all the chemistry behind this but iran basically at this point is saying that it's going to kick its uranium enriched uranium up to possibly as much as 20 percent and the concern about that is that some say that could put to ron in a position to create a nuclear weapon grade uranium now iranian officials say that unless the european countries involved in the j. c.p.o. a break with the u.s.
10:49 am
and basically help ease the sanctions that the u.s. ations that are having a detrimental effect on iran's economy and the country is going to essentially pull out of the new agreement in 10 days so this appears to really be a move by iran to you know test the resolve of the u.s. and the coalition of countries that negotiated and remain in the j. c.p.o. way and this latest development you know certainly adds to the you know the ongoing tension and drama from last week when those 2 attackers were attacked in the gulf of oman near the strait of hormuz that said u.s. officials including president trump and secretary of state mike pompei oh as we know as you guys have been talking about we've been reporting have blamed iran for the attacks saying video released by u.s. . actual command shows an iranian vessel revolutionary guards vessel removing an unexploded limpet mine from one of those tankers and there's actually new photos that have been released by centcom and by the u.s.
10:50 am
. again backing up you know this accusation from u.s. officials yesterday secretary pompei all repeated these accusations against iran also he said not ruling out possible military action against the country listen we are confident that we can take a set of actions that can restore deterrence which is our mission so that you say a full range of options does that include a military response course of course the president consider everything we need to do to make sure that it's a presence that we don't want to run to get a nuclear weapon the previous administration put them on a path where that virtually guaranteed that they could get there so we withdrew from the ridiculous j c p a way and are moving ourselves towards a set of policies which will convince iran to behave simply like a normal nation. and of course he's talking about those policies he's talking about have to do with u.s. sanctions as i mentioned one last point here today iran's top military commander said that iran would continue to protect the strait of hormuz adding that quote as
10:51 am
long as the islamic republic's oil is exported the oil of others will be securely exported to and he added that if iran really wanted to shut the straight down it could certainly do that and would do it in a very public way and with that said iran's ambassador to the britain warned that things are heading towards a confrontation you may have heard this yesterday one u.s. official senator tom cotton of arkansas called for a quote retaliate retaliatory military strike against iran so you know again this battle words and the accusations continue to fly between you know both countries tabitha and here we are between all of this we don't know if this you know this historic ironic or a meant peace agreement that ended that you know now we're out of it now there's a possibility lot of other countries be out of it but what the reaction of other countries to iran announcement you know u.s. allies like saudi arabia like israel what are they. well yeah and surprisingly saudi arabia and israel are against any nuclear efforts by iran be it for energy or
10:52 am
for weapons and are calling for a tough response to the country agreeing with the u.s. officials assessment that iran is to blame for last week's attack though not everyone in the internet and national community is convinced of that japan and germany have said that this video alone that the u.s. has been putting out there isn't isn't enough evidence to basically point the fingers and it cuse accuse iran of that you know so if you then you have you have israel sticking with its red line approach about preventing any iran nuclear capabilities israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu saying that you know the u.s. should go back to again the other sanctions snapback sanctions as basically held on iran before even the g. c.p.o. way then on the other side u.n. secretary general antonio terraces called for an independent investigation into who was responsible while kremlin spokesman dmitri pass coverage for
10:53 am
a quote sober appraisal of the situation while waiting for more convincing evidence to appear before you know basically making any accusations against anyone or any country so again it is a volatile time it is a very tense time more supposed evidence coming from u.s. officials but as i said not everyone is convinced of that top of them while hopefully we can you know cooler heads prevail. and in our in our modern world let's thank you so much for walking us through so much john not a the american people and found much you're welcome. in april of this year the u.s. navy began drafting all new guidelines for pilots and aircraft personnel to follow when they came in contact with unidentified flying object that's right u.f.o.'s what was once poison to a military career since according to estimates by retired army colonel john alexander is 7 to 10 percent of all navy pilots since the 1950 s. have seen some kind of way to unidentified flying object now a recent video from
