allegation is supposed bribery which may have taken place 9 days before the futile ballot was cast deciding the 2022 world cup host country which eventually went to jail but he wasn't the only person to be taken into custody on tuesday morning along with. a former advisor to new colossal cosey and also. the former head of administration they are also suspects in this case the allegation is that michel platini and a couple of persons from nicolas sarkozy's administration of held a meeting with then prime minister of qatar and the foreign minister of qatar and the investigators suspecting that they may have been bribed into voting for michel platini on numerous occasions back in the day said that he would contemplate voting for the united states for the 20 to 22 world cup but he eventually voted for cuts are and he also admitted to that every time there is a big world cup or a major football tournament going on there are a lot of scandals there are a lot of political control of the seas and conspiracy theories flying about we saw
2:31 pm
the same case in 202012 when the euros were held in poland in ukraine the same applied to russia the world cup last year there was a lot of safety concerns but we all know that everything went well so qatar is no exception to that seems 2012 there has been a major investigation. of bribery allegations of political masterminding of this world cup even more so we've heard an opinion from a number of investigators that several countries surrounding may have been plotting a campaign to derail the world cup in 22 into doing but all the officials from different football governing bodies including including you a for that i've been able to speak to over the last couple of years they've all said in one voice that the world cup in qatar will take place and moreover just recently the feat for president you know. during a meeting in the kremlin told me that the meeting will that the world cup will take place and more work. the plan to have 48 teams in qatar was scrapped leaving it to
2:32 pm
32 teams but he's still you sure that it will go on ask plan. a funny moment global updates in around 40 minutes time but these type of us now full watching the homes. greetings and salyut ations a short while ago in the winter of 2016 just a few short weeks before donald trump would assume the presidency the new speeds were awash with apocalyptic headlines declaring that russia had attempted to hack into the vermont power grid upon hearing the news of the congressman and hearing that news vermont congressman peter welch declared it's systemic relentless predatory they will hack everywhere even vermont in pursuit of opportunities to
2:33 pm
disrupt our country for months senator patrick leahy also joined him exclaiming this is beyond hackers having electronic joyrides this is now about trying to access utilities to potentially manipulate the grid and shut it down in the middle of winter that is a direct threat. soon after it was discovered that poor performance power grid was not in any real danger in the russia actually had made no attempt to hack it whatsoever now let's flash forward to today when this weekend the new york times revealed to the world that the us military has hacked into russia's power grid the times reports that american strategy has shifted more toward offense officials say with the placement of potentially crippling malware inside the russian system at a depth and with an aggressiveness that have never been tried before so hard watchers it appears that essentially the u.s. government is now freely admitting to doing to the russians exactly what we accuse
2:34 pm
them of doing to us in 2016 but unlike 2016 this isn't some madcap russia gate conspiracy theory courtesy of rachel just left of alex jones maddow this is a very real cold war 2.0 escalation with very dangerous implications and potential real world catastrophe on the line which means it's time we start watching the hawks. it looks like. it's like. the part of. the day like you know that i got. this.
2:35 pm
welcome we're going to watching the hearts i roll band and i'm tapped a lot so one of the things i find most interesting is the times also reports that the you know president donald trump wasn't briefed on the operation because they say that the possibility that he might countermand it or discuss it with foreign officials now 2 things come to mind i mean one * obviously like it or not trump is the commander in chief is the head 8 of the u.s. military. you can't just decide what he is or isn't allowed to see and then if you're so concerned that he's going to tell the russians why do you tell the new york times. critic point seriously that's still around i don't care what it started out there i really. it's absolutely ridiculous and why why but if they well we don't want to tell the president who i was like you said as commander in chief he's the top guy like he runs the military but we're going to do
2:36 pm
ops without him and that plays up huge in those people who are you know concerned about the state of the military you know doing things under the nose of the president but not telling and that raises a lot of red flags put it turned out to tell the new york times that as a larry oh yeah it's the i don't know that works so well i don't know if it works well and i'm not sure that it you know we were supposed to have this great deep state that was going to keep the place in front. and i know i was. you know a lousy job that's all i'm saying to organize none whatever. well in the new york times you know no maybe no one reads it now anyway so they figure to breath and if that our broadcast but if you get out. there go there go you know what's interesting taboos actually and this is what really creeped me out is there are actually saying that not telling trump is actually illegal thanks you know because
2:37 pm
you would think that likely would have authority and you should know this it should be illegal if you don't tell the president what the military is doing especially something that could put us in the world war 3 sure they're saying that it's actually legal thanks to a new legal authority that they could have slipped into the military authorization bill last year that was passed by congress the measure actually approves the routine conduct of the best in military activity in cyberspace to deter safeguard or defend against attacks or malicious cyber activities against the united states. who. the only it's a big wide hole you could drive a whole truck through carrying a missile if you wanted to or a cyber attack right if only somebody had resisted all of this super pro military. transparency of oh maybe somebody has actually risen bad i'm kind of unhelpful. one of these things that i find interesting too is this defending forward so there it
2:38 pm
is this the style of defense is what the military officials call defend forward and under those laws what happens is that the actions cannot be authorized by the defense secretary without presidential approval so. if we're defending forward i'll remember that the next time i slap someone across the face i'm like i'm defending forward somehow i don't feel like the pull yeah that's going to let me let me let me use that as a defense i was defending forward. you know you don't you don't think that would work to have a mean hey you know if the pentagon can do it you know we we can go and how can the somebody else electrical. and potentially. defending forward like you said you can go up and slap someone else just say well i was just defending forward. but excuse. military style pentagon doublespeak. allow office of maneuvers but then let's put it in the guise of all
2:39 pm
we're just doing it in the name of the. new york times at the end of that article they actually. posed some really interesting questions they said quote the question now is whether placing the equivalent of landmines in a foreign power network is the right way to deter russia while it parallels cold war nuclear strategy it also is a big point it also enshrines power grids now as the legitimate combat target in this cold war. that's dangerous in my opinion. oh no i love it why not just make everything a legitimate target i mean if we weren't a 1st world nation the united states everything would be a legitimate target and. maybe maybe this is what happens when you making use of this idea that they're going to magically get russia to magically do everything i guess hand over all their money. stays some it's not going to happen i got
2:40 pm
a feeling that poking around in their power grid probably not going to do much not going to help too much either. oh i can see because now it kind of gives them the green light to do the same if they so choose because they're doing it then we can do it to you and that's how the school ation things works i love you better than me by the way because that is totally this is like you know the merest jerry and gary i'll diplomacy we're seeing right now well i guess if it works for way awkward. according to a new report from the c.p.d. formally known as the carbon disclosure product project 215 of the world's biggest corporations project that they could face nearly one trillion in costs related to climate risk with over half of those costs expected to materialize in the next few years what that means is massive job losses from the energy sector to farming and beyond which is why so many states are looking to green energy solutions of
2:41 pm
a way to shore up employment and low income minority and rural communities like illinois clean energy jobs act which calls for clean energy workforce development hubs throughout the state and adds more to the work done with their 2016 future energy jobs that natural resources defense council advocate j c kitty told the press we're in visioning this is a comprehensive pipeline with training on the front end jobs on the back and not just a training program in isolation the plan looks to not only help transition coal miners in rural southern areas of illinois but also those who work in coal power plants in urban areas of chicago by doing this they could actually end up tackling the racial and gender and equity currently seen in the new green sector jobs simply by providing opportunities to all who need them where they need them. wow you know what really strikes me struck me about this is. you have been actually
2:42 pm
talking about the need for true green energy jobs and training in those jobs for as far back as i can remember and our friendship you have always brought up this is some. for both rural and city you know community you just don't make a lot of money you have lost a lot of industry you've always talked about this i mean it's amazing seeing this come to fruition yeah i mean it's the one thing that you really have to understand if you know energy costs rise as we saw in new ways of doing that outside of a large energy grid i think rural areas are going to be moving more into renewables so they don't have to depend on where these large grids should really only be powering large cities where we can do things on a smaller scale and do that with jobs i mean the solar foundation and the solar energy industries association says the right now even after a little bit of work over the last couple of years that those the solar workforce right now is about 74 percent male and 73 percent white that 2 years after the
2:43 pm
future energy jobs act legislation was passed in illinois and this is a place that has 20 over $2100.00 solar installation jobs and almost $5000.00 total solar jobs in the state i think it's an interesting incubator the idea is getting people really having these process of of being able to get trained for a job then have the ability to get into that job and then for small business. it completely right i mean it's amazing when you told me those numbers really blows my mind i mean with green energy so white really. are very way that's the tragedy of this was because they tended to go into as middle income you know suburban neighborhoods that tended to be fairly white those are the people that could afford to put the solar panels on their on their houses they were the 1st one to get loans to invest in businesses that put them in. that's so true that is so so
2:44 pm
true it's interesting when you look you know what illinois is putting together with this you know illinois clean energy drawbacks i mean to have it demands 45 percent were. $2312050.00 which is what we've seen is that kind of range when people talk about climate change the c.j. bill demands increased energy storage demand response energy efficiency rate structures and other programs to make that shift happen to renewables happen quickly in illinois and that's to me is the most important. yeah and that's the thing that people forgot is how are we going to get to the point part of getting to that point is the slow build up along the way of understanding each point where this becomes an issue not just in making the solar panels or or whatever product is being made it's how do we store it how can we use this on a larger scale small scale and some of it is building large places so there's construction there's everything and the one good thing about this new bill that
2:45 pm
adds on to the to the to the last bill is that this clean energy jobs. one of the things that they were saying is. that there would be incentivize and prioritize what they call onsite distributed generation and products that are 100 percent low income subscriber owned including low income households not for profit organizations and affordable housing owners as well as projects 100 percent owned by households located in environmental justice communities so what you have is you had a couple of these coal processing plants right in chicago right in very poor predominantly african-american neighborhoods so not only were they poisoning them with everything that was going on there but they also were taking the time to not realize that that was a job that was being lost to the people in that community and so bringing these things back and making solar affordable for everyone bringing down the cost of energy and
2:46 pm
then also doing this thing of really understanding that you're not for profits you're public housing. these things should be on green energy and that everyone of those with it we're saving money we're saving time we're saving the environment it just gets easier and easier. to me and some no brainer i mean when you look at it it's like you're saving poor people from those extra energy bills that they have to pay so more energy can be put into life their own success in their own financial stability that number one you're bringing jobs back and i mean i hope that other states around the country look at what illinois is doing and say hey let's make this even better let's build on the back of what they're doing and expand it even further because it's the future of this idea that we're going to hold the coal mining jobs or all these like you know old jobs of the past that are based in you know the burning of chemicals that are destroying our planet i'm sorry we've got to get away from that got to get away from it well they do so much for joining me from
2:47 pm
minnesota they do on my own way always a pleasure to. thank you so much as we go to break up watchers have got to let us know what you think of the topics we've covered on facebook and twitter sphere also that are coming up idea because john honey brings us the latest on the situation with iran and artemis takes us to the moon and beyond. to washington hot. we had one man 3540 years old. it was destroyed in the water.
2:48 pm
some 30 fisherman later it was never. understood as something that you don't allow them to want to take and i remember most of it was stubborn and. i believe that this is the lone killer of the therapy is to. our child was absurd really harsh things that happened in. iran announced today that plans to increase its enrichment of uranium possibly breaking the 2015 nuclear agreement and adding another complicated layer to
2:49 pm
a dangerous escalation and rhetoric between the u.s. and iran this says u.s. officials continue to blame iran for last week's attack on 2 tankers in the gulf of oman while other world powers are urging the u.s. and its allies to quell the tense situation that something may are up into something even more volatile here with the latest r.t. correspondent john hardy thanks for joining us john. my pleasure if you so john what exactly is iran say right now and thing that they're going to. richmond out of here am. well yeah i'll break it down for you and kind of give you the you know the summarized version of this today tabitha the spokesman for iran's atomic energy agency said that the country would basically increase its enriching uranium stockpile to essentially exceed the limits that were set in the 2015 nuclear deal the j c p a way as it's called basically upping the ante and and the showdown in the ongoing kind of battle of words and rhetoric between the u.s.
2:50 pm
and iran along with i should mention u.s. allies against iran and all this is well under the terms of the joint comprehensive plan of action and jay c.p.o. a iran agreed to reduce its nuclear capabilities limiting the number of uranium enriched centrifuges and then also restricting its efforts to enrich uranium to no more than 3.67 percent i'm not going to get into all of the you know the physics here and all the chemistry behind this but iran basically at this point is saying that it's going to kick its uranium enriched uranium up to possibly as much as 20 percent and the concern about that is that some say that could put to ron in a position to create a nuclear weapon grade uranium now iranian officials say that unless the european countries involved in the j. c.p.o. a break with the u.s. and basically help ease the sanctions that the u.s. ations that are having a detrimental effect on iran's economy and the country is going to essentially pull out of the new agreement in 10 days so this appears to really be
2:51 pm
a move by iran to test the resolve of the u.s. and the coalition of countries that negotiated and remain in the j. c.p.o. way and this latest development you know certainly adds to the you know the ongoing tension and drama from last week when those 2 attackers were attacked in the gulf of oman near the strait of hormuz that said u.s. . officials including president trump and secretary of state mike pompei oh as we know as you guys have been talking about and we've been reporting have blamed iran for the attacks saying video released by u.s. central command shows an iranian vessel revolutionary guards vessel removing an unexploded limpet mine from one of those tankers and there's actually new photos that have been released by centcom and by the u.s. . again backing up this you know this accusation from u.s. officials yesterday secretary pompei all repeated these accusations against iran also he said not ruling out possible military action against the country listen we
2:52 pm
are confident that we can take a set of actions that can restore deterrence which is our mission so you say a full range of options does that include a military response course of course the president consider everything we need to do to make sure that it's a presence that we don't want to run to get a nuclear weapon the previous administration put them on a path where that virtually guaranteed that they could get there so we withdrew from the ridiculous j c p a way and are moving ourselves towards a set of policies which will convince iran to behave simply like a normal nation. and of course he's talking about those policies he's talking about have to do with u.s. sanctions and as i mentioned one last point here today iran's top military commander said that iran would continue to protect the strait of hormuz adding that quote as long as the islamic republic's oil is exported the oil of others will be securely exported too and he added that if iran really wanted to shut the straight down it could certainly do that and would do it in
2:53 pm
a very public way and with that said iran's ambassador to the britain warned that things are heading towards a confrontation you may have heard this yesterday one u.s. official senator tom cotton of arkansas called for a quote retaliate retaliatory military strike against iran so you know again this battle words and the accusations continue to fly between you know both countries tabitha and here we are between all of this we don't know if you know this historic ironic or a mat peace agreement that ended that you know now we're out of it now there's a possibility lot of other countries be out of it but what the reaction of other countries to iran the now infamous you know out u.s. allies like saudi arabia like israel what are they. well yeah and surprisingly saudi arabia and israel are against any nuclear efforts by iran be it for energy or for weapons and are calling for a tough response to the country agreeing with the u.s. officials assessment that iran is to blame for last week's attacks though not everyone in the internet and national community is convinced of that japan and
2:54 pm
germany have said that this video alone that the u.s. has been putting out there isn't you know isn't enough evidence to basically point the fingers and accuse accuse iran of that you know so if you then you have you have israel sticking with its red line approach about preventing any iran nuclear capabilities israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu saying that you know the u.s. should go back to again the other saying shin snap back sanctions as. basically held on iran before even the c.p.o. way then on the other side u.n. secretary general antonio terraces called for an independent investigation into who was responsible while kremlin spokesman dmitri pass coverage for a quote sober appraisal of the situation while waiting for more convincing evidence to appear before you know basically making any accusations against anyone or any country so again it is a volatile time it is
2:55 pm
a very tense time more supposed evidence coming from u.s. officials but as i said not everyone is convinced of that top of them well hopefully we can you know cooler heads prevail. and in our in our modern world let's thank you so much for walking us through so much john not a party america correspondent with us and found much you're welcome. in april of this year the u.s. navy began drafting all new guidelines for pilots and aircraft personnel to follow when they came in contact with unidentified flying object u.f.o. what was once a poison to a military career reporting a u.f.o. sighting will now be standard and even required but it's a good thing that's according to estimates by retired army colonel john alexander 7 to 10 percent of all navy pilots since the 1950 s. have seen some kind of way to unidentified flying object now a recent video from a hiker near one of the most famous secret air bases in the world has everyone quoting the present the united states wondering what is defying the laws of physics

the airfield on groom lake was in operation in 1902 during the 2nd world war it began as 2 paid $5000.00 foot runway but now was the trip ministration takes an interest in space ramping up the space force the president was recently asked about the existence of u.f.o.'s in an a.b.c. interview do you think you have to get into the future is true i think. my greed and our greed pilots would know. and some of them really see things that are a little bit different than in the past now this video from avengers with christian was posted about 2 weeks ago and at this point has a little more than 200000 views in the title he mentions area 51 is in fact very active in los angeles and r.t. . the apollo space program brought about a dozen men to the surface of the moon from 1963 to 1972 now 45 years after the apollo men landed on the surface the artemis missile mission named for the great goddess of the moon in the hunt will bring the 1st woman and economy to our little
