so today let's delve into the side of the gun violence debate that no one wants to talk about as we start watching. the. reels with this one. as to. what it's like you know that i got. this. week. while they were going to watching the hawks i am i robot and i'm to have a. it's wild when you look at the actual number as the number. every hit every light matter is every one of these people whether you're a cop or you're a civilian walking down the street these lives actually do matter and part of their

job as police officers is to be protecting so. if 4300. police shootings in which people died were considered just there's no way to justify that something's not right either way there are 400 or i go to great i mean it's hard for me to accept that out of all 4 you know 40 over 4000 police killing you know where they shot and killed somebody that every single for all 4000 of those people were someone deserving to be shot it's good it's hard number i'm sorry the percentages just don't add up to that and it doesn't and that's the thing when you look at these things that there isn't there isn't a rationale for it there's always an excuse yes there's always a justification but that's why we're not getting anywhere and it's not getting better and look at these numbers according to the washington post 27900 people were shot and killed by the police 28992 this year 2019 were already out by 100. you know many people been killed by
2:32 pm
a shooter you know all you see on the news all day long not that it doesn't deserve attention it does and our shootings are a major problem they do deserve attention but only 62 people have been killed that's 62 too many but when you compare it to 570 by police that's a massive discrepancy in the numbers and i mean there's something that you have to look at be honest it isn't just if if police simply shot people who didn't comply and it was always justified and that's this idea you know if we believe this. then why is that only poor people seem to be the ones who have a problem with the police why is it only poor people that are aggressive with jobs and that's where these numbers also look so they there was a university of liver in california to $2800.00 study in which they took data from $3144.00 u.s. counties ok what they found is that mass shootings and high levels of income inequality and high levels of income are connected so that's basically saying the
2:33 pm
a lot of these murders sure you can always trace a lot of these problems back to the wealth problem in this country yeah and then when you look at a place like chicago oh it's terrible problem oh why are we do know why are we doing anything about it well one thing they seem to do is give cops more money and give police departments more money chicago's $29000.00 budget for the folks at home gives over $1500000000.00 to them please department while the entirety of what the city calls their community services infrastructure that includes the department of public health and the department of family and support services is allotted just $200000.00 now i'm sure there is funding that come from other places and i'll get any amount saying like that's not all that we get but there's something fundamentally wrong when health public health gets less and gets even even to a 1000000 against $1500000000.00 because more guns and more police are going to fix
2:34 pm
the problem and that is the problem is it is because in the me is what the real issue is with this is that we spend more time getting distracted by the debates of like the simple black and white debates take guns off the street keep guns on the street then looking at what the causes are a lot of those wealth inequality distress you know all of the you go down the list when people are not giving money to public health and department of family and support services that creates criminals that creates people who don't. i would go out and hurt people and also the police. actions their plans to address these often involve what are supposed to be people and training that's only used very rarely in the most slimmest of of inductances and that's the swat teams yeah i mean one of those moves between 528-0000 swat team raids are carried out on people on citizens in the united states every year or non-citizens to the scene that's 80000 swat
2:35 pm
rubes across the country in there and then you're shocked when there's police violence when people actually get killed because i don't think the people doing swat are trained to do that i don't think they're i think there are people using swat equipment using special forces equipment acting like they are you know rangers and they're not you're not properly trained knew shouldn't be that aggressive in the 1st place so you should. while the proud boys and to fox showed up in portland this weekend in their typical overhyped attention seeking fashion it was the protesters in hong kong who once again dominated the streets and the headlines for what is now the 11th straight weekend the thoroughfares of hong kong were packed with protesters with some estimates putting the demonstrators close to 1000000 strong on sunday and r.t. america's own fair amount i was there and here she is with her report. protests continued over the weekend for the 11th straight week with 3 protests
2:36 pm
approved by the hong kong police on saturday alone. after last weekend's violent protests police had a water cannon vehicles on standby to use if needed so far over 700 protesters have been arrested. the demonstrations began in opposition of an extradition bill which hong kong chief executive kerry lamb now claims is dead for protesters the simply way. isn't enough demanding the complete withdrawal of the bill and anti-government protesters are now including even more demands from their government hong kong police held a press conference in an effort to respond to the public many fear that this will turn into some sort of revolution now there are reports showing chinese army on their way and gather that the change on border at one point will you allow them to come in according to the basic law and the national authority to turn out the only
2:37 pm
rest with the home government as well as the chinese central government therefore the police are not in a position to comment on due process of turning over only but i can guarantee that the home police is capable on saturday protest began in the afternoon with a peaceful teachers march followed by another peaceful pro-government rally that lasted just one hour organizers said 476000 people attended the pro police rally while police said only 108000 were present people gathered in support of the island's police force there hope the government can restore peace to their city over what hive you. know hong kong to bring back peace because these people are making hong kong a real mess but tensions grew later saturday evening at the montauk police station protesters began throwing eggs and other things out police and police responded by

taking to the streets clearing them from protesters they showed up in full riot gear with police cars 1st several blocks clearing the street we saw no violence tonight but we were prepared just in case the police fired tear gas it seems like the protesters called an earlier night than expected but they're looking for a schedule of the protests that will take place tomorrow on sunday anti-government protesters showed up and kept their word it's our 2nd day of protests. here in hong kong and you can see that people are starting to move toward this is the start of where the protesters are scheduled to be walking to the car apart causeway bay and it's a leading up to look like they're going to be thousands of protesters here today sunday's theme peaceful rational and nonviolent there were groups from 2 sides the peaceful rationality camp and the valiant resistance camp which include those wearing masks. or they yellow dog we are here because the hong kong government does
2:39 pm
not listen to our 5 demands and also because of the police brutality so that's why we're here to walk for freedom and we are not giving up because we have a conscience i will peacefully walk today and i will be with the pro peaceful camp and today we will not be divided in the crowd were also several families with children is ok but when a some go down i will take them to my 2 home protest organizers from the civil human rights front took the stage in the middle of victoria park leading crowd chants was told i was told i was and calling for support for their cause which i did found repression is already being carried out by the home police force on call most of here 30 waste ever hope that actions on home government and don't call police force the international community in the age he was home call is being destroyed by the home complete step by step heavy
2:40 pm
rain didn't stop the protesters who march from a packed park to the streets well into the night protesters marked police with laser pointers after police previously claimed them to be dangerous weapons it's just our lease up as you cannot go back on sunday night the hong kong government responded to the rallies by voicing their concern for the peaceful yet disruptive protests causing several road closures it's most important to restore social order as soon as possible the government will begin sincere dialogue with the public when everything has calmed down but demonstrators ensured they would continue their protests every week we will stand up. every week until we get what we did say after reporting in hong kong salman test day oka party. as we're going to break our quadrant don't forget the let us know what you think of the topics we've covered on our social media page and be sure to check our watching the hawks the podcast bellville on spotify apple music and everywhere listen the podcast coming up we

in this community there are people who believe that it's ok. it's really hard there are no jobs and you see that that kids ask and as a parent. i can come up with lots of arguments there's a lot of conflict in the game between the teams most of the conflict i would say overall is around money and most of them money is made. close one on each other because he knows each other is good business the state of california alone makes $6000000000.00 a year of the prison complex just to get some 20 a life where. you don't care and one of my hair is a monster so your hair might anything.

today we finally saw a step towards justice and accountability. we saw a process that was actually fair and impartial. and i hope. that this will now bring the garner family a sense of closure. and the beginning of some peace. and why p.t. commissioner of police james o'neill the knowledge that a press conference on monday the 13 year veteran of the n.y.p.d. daniel panta layo was officially fired for his use of an illegal chokehold which took the life of citizen eric garner on july 17th 2014 the incident became a case study for why so many african-americans in the united states fear the police even in announcing the firing commissioner still still felt the need to blame the

victim eric garner and make a victim out of the person who actually broke a law officer and to layo. every time i watch that video. i say to myself it's probably all of you do. to mr garner don't do it comply officer pantalone don't do it. i said that about the decisions made by both of japan to lay out the mystical but none of us can take back our decisions most especially when they lead to the death of another human being. despite bending over backwards to make excuses for his officers and their conduct in the field that wasn't enough for the president of the new york police benevolent association patrick lynch instructed officers in his union to essentially stop doing their jobs take a listen i stand here today to tell every new york city police officer and iran patrol right now. when someone calls 911 and dispatchers call

you and is a circumstance where you have to put your hands on someone. it's call emergency service 2nd. because you will not have the backing of the city. in the wake of convicted pedophile jeffrey epstein's apparent suicide last week many began to look even closer at those who helped the mysterious billionaire keep his international multi-faceted child and sex trafficking ring operating however despite some very powerful people being connected to abstain the most powerful are still being protected by those in the media despite new evidence video emerging over the weekend showing british royal prince andrew the duke of york and jeffrey epstein's new york mansion in 2010 given mind that's 2 years after abstain was already found guilty of solicitation of prostitution involving
2:47 pm
a minor and he was forced to register as a hire a sex offender in addition new evidence including photographs is emerged suggesting prince andrew posed to jeffrey epstein and members of his entourage at the queen's a state more castle in 1909 and a statement a british newspaper the telegraph a spokesperson for buckingham palace stated that prince andrew the duke of york his royal highness deplores the exploitation of any human being and the suggestion he would condone participate or encourage any such behavior is a borat. and yet despite the seriousness of the charges and evidence against prince andrew it seems that royal experts and british tabloids were far more concerned this week with denouncing the duke and duchess of sussex meghan and harry over their travel arrangements for an 800 mile trip to france and on this side of the pond the u.s. media has been no different let us not forget that it was julie k. brown of the miami herald who finally took the evidence that have been driven acted
2:48 pm
by every major media outlet and expose not just the crimes of outstayed but the cover up of them by government officials from palm beach to capitol hill now with the latest on the jeffrey epstein cases one reporter who is not been afraid to seek the truth and bring it to you joining us from miami is our t. america correspondent john hardy thanks for joining us my pleasure good to be on with you guys always hear it for those of us who is the statement from buckingham palace on behalf of prince andrew enough to get him off the hook as far as the focus of epstein's rich and powerful friends being potential coconspirators in this man's you know with the child pedophilia written. no no it isn't it really isn't because he remains tyrone tabitha one of the as we know central figures in all of this accused of sexually abusing underage girls that were exploited and trafficked traffic by jeffrey abstain and among them virginia roberts who frey who alleges
2:49 pm
that epstein basically lent her out to his rich and powerful friends including prince andrew and there have been pictures of prince andrew with a good phrase so look he can't deny ever meeting her or being in the same proximity vicinity as her because there's proof that he certainly was and now there are seemingly more evidence that even after epstein's 2008 conviction prince andrew was still hanging out with a convicted sex offender the daily mail posted a story and accompanying video you guys probably saw that saw this maybe our viewers to the daily mail posted the story in video over the weekend showing what's purported to be prince andrew standing inside the doorway of epstein's upper east side townhouse back in december 2010 the video which is about a minute 30 long shows at seeing and a young woman come out of the townhouse initially followed a few seconds later by his assistant and then another young woman and what appears to be prince andrew standing in the doorway waving good bye followed by other young
2:50 pm
women then coming in a little bit later in the video so it essentially proves that even after his conviction at seeing still had a penchant for young women that were being paraded in and out of his townhouse and this continued to go on at the same time that his lawyers were trying to basically persuade prosecutors in the manhattan d.a.'s office to essentially rescind epstein's criminal status as a high risk sex offender his legal team essentially argued that epstein should be registered as a low level sex offender because according to the wall street journal report that came out and others the florida police allegations against him. about a sexual abuse of underage girls were quote unquote flam atory and unreliable so i mean just another added element to this to the sordid story right did that argument does that seem strange to me of course they're trying to say it like that was it with there were 30 over 30 women young women where identified as having been
2:51 pm
victims on them and some of them still under age and the florida did that argument worked out with this or is ever able to change his designation as a high risk. well here's the thing almost it almost did because the manhattan d.a.'s office said that in 2010 this goes back to 2010 that it would consent to designating mr epstein as a low risk offender but ultimately a state panel the new york board of examiners of sex offenders classified epstein as the highest level offender most likely to commit another crime and the new york judge that was overseeing the classification agreed with that panel so that said no epstein did manage to avoid having to check in with the n.y.p.d. every 90 days because he listed his prime minister primary residence as little st james island as we know his private island in the u.s.
2:52 pm
virgin islands but this is just one and one more example of epstein's really wealth and power being used to benefit. being used to his benefit despite the serious accusations and allegations against him both before and after his prosecution and clearly proves to be this continued behavior i've seen as we now know managed to avoid serious prison time and federal charges back in 2008 with that so-called sweetheart deal and instead he pled guilty to the lesser state solicitation of prostitution charges in florida which while still requiring him to register as a sex offender required him to only serve 13 months. county jail in palm beach county during which time he was able to to leave during the day for work relief you know of work release so. yeah go ahead and i would say it's interesting because it's like you know a lot of what i'm seeing now especially out of the media is this kind of like obsession with you know the suicide which obviously everyone's going to jump on and
2:53 pm
but you know like to mention that the start you know then there's this kind of like burying the prince andrew story you know down there to get a scroll way way out of the daily mail even ketchup you know are we do believe you know and but you've been journalist for a long time are journalists getting too caught up in the my new show of this and are we forgetting about the powerful people involved and not kind of following those trails and those leads getting caught up in the my new show of whether he was you know did he commit suicide or how did he do it and all of the. i think that's a great question and it's and it's a it's a very good point and i think the answer is yeah you know there is there's been so much of that and you kind of you know you lose sight of really you know well there's a certain there's a couple different parts to this 1st of all you know certainly his arrest the indictment on those charges his attempts to get out of jail and then yes now his suicide the aftermath the speculation the conspiracy theories did he commit suicide
2:54 pm
did somebody get to him in jail all of that and all the tabloid fodder that goes with that but the other aspect and perhaps the bigger part and now the new chapter that's beginning or has begun in this story his rich and powerful friends those that have been tied to him those that were with him throughout this and those that possibly were coconspirators in his his criminal activity and that that i think you're right overall and the media really lost sight of that and it just and also keep in mind that abstaining was hit with his wealth with his circle and its association with not only. the socialites not only with the prince andrew's but also powerful politicians attorneys and then scientists people members of the science community that he was courting trying to basically get in their good graces to give himself a you know kind of basically really promote himself you know and subside to store
2:55 pm
science based you know enthused i tell you this john sort of as we will definitely not like give up on this story thank you so much for coming on and giving us that info is absolutely. my pleasure thank you. it's a tale as old as time at least for creatures such as sea horses and cheetahs who were the inspiration for this engineering marvel from researchers a cure university in tokyo japan the device you see it was designed to help those with balance problem such as the elderly so they can remain upright and keep from falling down the one metre long device uses for artificial muscles and compressed air to allow the tail to move in 8 separate directions with the help of a spring base structure like a pendulum the tail moves in the opposite direction of the where at low and the counterbalance to keep them upright aside from the elderly the tail called are could also be used to allow workers in warehouses and construction sites to lift heavy objects with assistance reducing on the job injuries and fatigue so if you
2:56 pm
can't make heads or tails of your balance problems science may be on the road to helping you out and i'm sorry i want to tell you all but our that is ours and i barely remember this road we're not sold the world love the upside so you will love the world on top of that while i sleep on watching those hawks over there and i would raise their. interest rates spike gapping and the spread is widening into what i call interest rate apartheid if you're in the wrong side of the friends of jeffrey epstein you bantustan of extortion ery credit card rights if you're a friend of jeffrey abstain then you get the insider rate of negative and you get paid to lend money or to borrow money from from the bank.

a paradise with some around turned into a round the experimentation field the agricultural chemicals we know that these chemicals have consequences they are major irritants there's no question otherwise why would the chemical company workers themselves be geared up that suited up locals attempt to combat the on regulated experiments with often in you have many of these people one foot into the biotech pharma and the other foot in the government regulatory bodies this kind of collusion is reprehensible while the battle goes on the chemicals continue to poison hawaii and its people so one has to ask the question whether there is a form of environmental research going on in hawaii whether these companies feel they can get away with those because the people have less political power.

so what we've got to do is identify the threats that we have crazy people in foundation let it be an arms race. spearing dramatic development only mostly i'm going to resist i don't see how that strategy will be successful very critical time to sit down and talk. let me. give me my best made up with them we said. just. how long. is an awfully long time i'm old but i'm also the most companies he knows i've been a good who says you to please when i meet. his compass he moves feet almost home pianist you know he goes from didn't you know
