oftentimes a really good model of what you know the outside world is you know what society is dealing with you know how sports kind of handled these kind of protests over the years what you see they they try to silence anyone who tries tries to bring change or awareness to the people such as of course college average with is nearly a protest but it goes back to mexico city in 1068 with tommie smith and john carlos raising their fists on the podium you're seeing that more and more and olympics events recently at the pan american games we saw fencer race and vote in and hammer thrower gwen barry protests on the podium so now they're worried for next year in tokyo 2020 games the olympic committee is worried that they're going to see this more and more as it's been becoming more prevalent at the olympic games and they do have that since they are a private organization they have rules saying no kind of demonstration or political religious or racial propaganda is permitted in any olympic sites or venues so it'll be interesting to see what happens if somebody does protest because these athletes like you said there are consequences they get suspended calley kapur nick many believe he's been blackballed from the n.f.l. but in the n.b.a.

you see it more adam silver the commissioner is more lenient they're allowed to protest police brutality more than the n.f.l. and you know i want to look at this other this lawsuit over the biometric face scanning it at home depot and lowes it's interesting because you know the stores claim they're using this data for security purposes to track shoplifters and things like that but the catch is that they're not informing people as they walk into the stores that they're scanning their faces and walking around and that's where the big catch is and that's what this illinois law is trying to protect should we be giving up our bio net. tricks in the name of store security should be should we just be handing that over to private companies in the name of well keep me safe or keep your products safe while we're there alex we'll start with you. you know we've had this discussion or something similar to this in the past i personally don't care i mean you know i'm an open book there's really nothing you're going to find out about me but here's the here's that they were talking about biometrics ok so you start getting a little bit creepy they're reading your face but let's face facts you walk into pretty much any store with your cell phone in your pocket or you want to call their

smartphone they know that you're there they know what you're looking at it's g.p.s. that's tracking you were ever you go so this is a ready happening they do what products you're looking at they know what ads to send you so this is you know we're talking about biometrics here right you know face scanning that's so horrible but this is happening no matter what and it's happening all over the place and if it's happening in states you know it's happening in canada as well so yeah creepy has a big going on for a while yes in different shapes and forms so does it really bother me why i don't watch it but hey that life goes on and on just going to keep doing what i'm doing well and that's the interesting kind of perspective i want to read you this is it's 56 where they did a pew research poll and they found that 656656 percent of respondents said they trust law enforcement to use facial recognition technology responsibly however 36 percent said they trust tech companies to use it responsibly while minuscule 17 percent said they would trust advertisers to use or. when you look at these numbers

and it's kind of disconcerting to think that you know people feel more comfortable with law enforcement being able to scan and have our data than companies or for this matter advertising agencies and things like that was it what do you guys feel about it which lowe's home depot you've been to a casino lately you know in the oiled and times the griffin book was actually a book you know damn well that they know who that card sharks are before they walk in the door and i imagine the home depot and lowes legal are going to have some sign that's probably time. new roman a tally 12 on the door advising you it's there to alex's point this is just a technical evolution there were already grainy black and white closed circuit cameras this is just more sophisticated the genie is out of the bottom and they've been using this for years a couple years now for sports stadiums for example in 28 seen in moscow at the world cup they had 160000 surveillance cameras in the streets to scan fans faces for face or facial recognition to discover they wanted to know if any of them were

criminals they had they said they were only scanning the people on a black list so if you're blacklisted which they had about 50000 photographs of criminal suspects on the blacklist that were uploaded to the system and that resulted in 42 suspects arrested at that world cup for example so they say they are not using any if you have nothing to hide like alex said they're not using your information or holding on that only if you are in a blacklist as a criminal but here's my fear of all this at the end of the day when you know because i hear that argument a lot of you have nothing to hide what do you care all about but you know what look they're passing laws against your ability to have free speech and protests like we see in the dakotas eventually you might have something to hide without even knowing it cops are using this sting ray thing anyway to tap into our self assured if you don't want to be surveilled don't leave home and but that's the problem how do you we shouldn't get shouldn't be at that point should it even out on your t.v. is watching you exactly i mean to me and it frightens me how easily we're allowing this to happen i mean you pick up your i phone you look into it now it scans your

face to unlock it and their reasoning for this a lot of these corporations are saying oh we want you to be safe or we want to provide a safer environment and that's the reason for using or keeping your information in scanning your face but of course that's a cop out we all kind of agree to that when we check the box without reading all those small little words before scanning our faces on snapchat and set it to you know that that is the big problem and i'll just put it was this it's frightens the hell out of me that we so easily are ready to kind of just hand over of this data and this information because where it is that and what. point is it and because to me it is violating who we are it's one thing to hey the guy looks familiar i'm going to go talk about some other thing because these companies can very easily take all your biometric data and then they can turn around and sell it or they can turn around and hand it over to the government we've seen that in numerous times from you know what snowden taught us with the leaks and things like that it to me it's a dangerous world that you're living and your dog is already chipped or have we actually said that's very true that is very true i want to thank all 3 of you for coming on always a pleasure having you on alex mail of it's always always a pleasure sir steve howe and cook thank you all 3 for coming on all right

a door down and shook her teenage son 1st of all that would be the end of it for me there would be no more money there would be no nothing would do bad things would happen and $1.00 of the reasons is because kevin federline actually stood up and got a restraining order against her father but her 1st reaction that moment was to take her kids out of that situation to call their father and say we need to make sure they're safe and it's very interesting because if you look back at that time we were all young you know kids at this at that moment where you had a clue sam lufti who was her manager along he managed christina aguilera the backstreet boys in sync it's interesting to see and i think a lot of those people all had breakdowns and that's what happens with child stars yes but why was that she is the only one that was singled out i mean we all remember when christina aguilera dyed her hair dark and went crazy too you know going to go where i got married she was what you're suppose you did your is the

right exactly man during all of that right attached to or on the federal unfortunately britney is kind of in this world and i think your heart does have to break a little bit for someone that is so does for that used to putting on strangers the cheap a yes. to her friends this is the one that i thought was interesting so in a 26 interview she said this to n m e magazine she said sometimes i'm like what am i doing like i could be a teacher but then i see all these other people doing it too and i'm like well you know it's probably all they've known for so long so it just kind of men make sense and that's her saying like we grow up in this business even doing our 1st look how do you can get out i mean this is a girl but also you know it's. do we call it the pressure like are we somewhat at fault is it this weird thing where we need britney spears to fail so we don't sleep so we feel better or are we putting this pressure on many men have they get a netflix comedy special when they do awful things you know they get almost daily duties an awful to anybody else out of her family were other men have assaulted

strangers or not issues that's the difference in all of us but it would to your sort of i think in her case we're not expecting new music out of her in fact we probably don't want new music of her because her past is so has already so legendary we just need her to be happy and healthy if this would in tragically if something happened to her nobody i would think would be cheering on her putting that pressure on her stock in this business and i feel like a lot of people do it so i applaud the women who have gone out gone for their degrees higher education or teaching or doing other things because it's like she's saying once you're in it it's that pressure that she feels so stuck and you know she might have other dreams to become a teacher or or what not but she's she feels restraint and boxed into what she was and became and that worries me to the other side of this they can virtually the sort of flip side of things is that the same pressure that's put on britney spears to look a certain way to do these things we have a whole way that we do that with men and especially in the armed forces and in sports and this week we had the pentagon is now finally saying no we need to have

thing that helps men kind of be more comfortable with mental health conversation saying it's ok we're crazy or crazy we all get through it well i mean this is a position that's kind of near and dear to my heart because when i was an anchor down in el paso texas we have 4 blister that's the 2nd largest army base there and one of the reports that i studied was this new form of therapy called m d r and what it is is it's there's no talk therapy because what they are finding is a lot of these soldiers they don't want to talk about it they don't want to relive it and it stands for i've movement desensitisation the sense that these sensitization reprocessing they found that 100 percent of these veterans after $6.00 to $12.00 sessions not you know 100 percent cured but 99.9 percent cured because what it's doing and like a rational simple terms is it's taking these emotional experiences you have and brings them over to your logical side and there have been times in my life you know what as i was doing the story there is stuff we all have something happens in our lives and i did it myself and i was shocked it took me 2 sessions and i was cured
