the president wanted to go so why bit of. an embattled president trump meets with his ukrainian counterpart in new york as the fallout from the phone call they had back in july. a summary of that conversation has now been released it shows trump. craning counterpart to investigate the business dealings of rival presidential candidate joe biden and his son us president is now on the defensive. now that's what they're choosing but i didn't do it i didn't threaten anybody. the british prime minister tells m.p.'s to either kick out his government or let him get on with lawmakers are back in the

commons after the supreme court ruled boris johnson's parliamentary suspension was unlawful and that they didn't hold back. these government stands in the shade. we believe if you like to go pro. so it was a coup last night. you're watching in a miami florida or jakarta indonesia this is our 2 international thomas and we are certainly glad you're. right in one of the most closely watched sideline meetings at the u.n. general assembly the u.s. and ukrainian presidents faced reporters about a now infamous phone call that has led to an impeachment inquiry being launched against donald trump the u.s. president meanwhile is claiming that it was not him but rather his rivals who threatened ukraine. they wanted to force the new president to do things that they
9:02 pm
wanted under the form of political threat they threatened him if he didn't do things. now that's what they're choosing me to but i didn't do it i didn't threaten anybody. yes democrats claim the president instead abused his powers by attempting to get the ukrainian leader to help investigate a potential lection rival in return for aid funds. i think. cold he too was normal we spoke about many. and. so i think you read it is that nobody bullshit bullshit me yes and no great you know there was no pressure or you have to do it is one of the call but you know that if you could ask the question and i appreciate the answer and i think it is if you look at what he did it is ok where his son goes to china he walks away with a video of their dollars he goes to your grave he walks away with $50000.00
9:03 pm
a month and a lot of money in addition to that and the whole thing with the prosecutor you pray that he's ok this isn't like maybe he did it maybe he's out of shape doing it is now the contents of that conversation they were describing is now fully public declassified by order of the president and if you look at this brief conversation held for 3 minutes on july 25th it's pretty clear there was a mention of joe biden his son hunter biden and a prosecutor in ukraine this is from the transcript that was just released there's a lot of talk about biden son body didn't stop the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about so whatever you can do with the attorney general would be great i will have mr giuliani give you a coup and i move so you're going to have attorney general. and we will get to the bottom of it i'm sure you will figure it out but in this in this transcript there
9:04 pm
is no mention of the $400000000.00 of military aid in the initial allegations from the democrats it was alleged that the. that threatened to withdraw aid from ukraine unless they gave him information on joe biden that simply is not in this transcript however the democrats have moved ahead with their impeachment inquiry and at this point we are hearing some very loud denunciations of trump from the democratic party like any mafia boss the president didn't need to say that's a nice country you have it be a shame if something happened to it because that was clear from the conversation there is no quid pro quo necessary to betray your country or your oath of office even though many read this as a quid pro quo i'm not concerned whether it is a quid pro quo or not. president trump abused the powers of his office and b. trade the public trust. for personal political gain they haven't seen it
9:05 pm
so i've just come from the media but that. is. the fact is that the president of the united states. in breach of his constitutional responsibility as a foreign government to help him in his political campaign well the us constitution lays out a procedure for removing the president by impeachment so essentially you've got 2 houses of the us congress the 1st house being the house of representatives they would be the house that decides to go ahead with impeachment at this point we've got 6 committees investigating trump it would be the judiciary committee they would be the ones to ultimately bring impeachment articles against donald trump and if they were to then vote to begin impeachment proceedings it would be then the u.s. senate that would convene an impeachment trial and then vote on whether or not to remove trump from office now and in u.s. history only 2 presidents have been impeached bill clinton was impeached as was
9:06 pm
andrew johnson and both of those u.s. presidents remained in office they were not removed from office the impeachment trial happened and the senate voted to keep them in office now richard nixon was facing an impeachment inquiry leading to an impeachment trial he resigned ahead of time so we have not had any president in u.s. history ever removed through the impeachment route not all democrats are immediately jumping on to the idea of impeachment gabbert has spoken up and said she doesn't support the idea of impeaching trump she says it would hurt the democratic party in the country in the long term and divide the country so tell us again and she she has spoken out but many democrats seem to be excited about the potential of beginning an impeachment proceeding against donald trump it's important to note however that at this point the senate. is controlled by republicans and it's very likely that if impeachment proceedings began mitch mcconnell who is the senate majority leader he could simply have the senate vote
9:07 pm
not to carry out an impeachment trial so a lot remains in question about what comes next but donald trump and the ukraine leader and the democrats have a very different interpretation of the conversation that we now with a full transcript of a lable. all right we're now joined live by earl rasmussen who's the executive vice president of the eurasia center earl thanks for being with us here on r t international. so the summary of trump's call with the ukrainian president has now been released and he did in fact asked zelinsky to look into joe biden's dealings is this evidence of illegal conduct that we're looking at. personally i do not think so and. we know we've got a situation over there i think mr biden publicly during a correlation. on television televised. basically boasted about. about the pressure that he put on the port of genco to
9:08 pm
relieve and fire the. that the time the prosecutor there who was looking into the bruce money holdings which just happened coincidentally mr biden son was employed by so i i you know there's some shady dealings going on there definitely some pressure was put on by mr biden threatening to uphold a $1000000000.00. of loan guarantees. i think it's perhaps it was an optimal for mr trump to actually mention it but i think it's something that ukraine should do and it's something that needs to be looked into and and we should probably cooperate with them on a on a judicial time and just i mean there's most likely nothing or nothing illegal that occurred but but it's something that should be looked into so i do not think that should come to anything illegal but one thing that we should point out is that this
9:09 pm
summer is a phone call is not the actual whistleblowers report that we are still waiting for and that is required by law for congress to be provided to congress but how do you think the release of the summary will impact the impeachment inquiry that has been announced by nancy pelosi well i think the the release of the entire us. the summary here the transcript is good it's a positive move but i think the president laid out everything let other people be a judge i read through the thing i have a copy right near me right here. yeah i would i have covered things little bit differently perhaps but i do not see any any lazing red herring didn't hear you think we've got some congressional leaders that are really stretching the interpretation. so i really don't see anything. you know that that's worth impeachable here at all if anything i think it's going to it. postures the president well there are some questionable notes but but really nothing nothing
9:10 pm
dangerous at it and i think i think if anything it's going to cause the whole impeachment process to backfire now or on the press a little bit here because president trump says that there is nothing incriminating in the whistleblowers report. but if that is the case why then did he refuse to turn it over to congress when it was 1st requested and when it is required by law to do so. i would like to tell you that but i'm not sure why why that occurred in perhaps it's perhaps protecting who the whistleblower actually is. you know and so i think it's more important to actually see the transcript that we've got here. which shows what the whistleblower report essentially was about. you know the actual framework and the process for that perhaps there is internal discussions within the within the staff as far as in the
9:11 pm
process that you just portman may be going the i.g. is going through that may explain why why that is not being released. or rasmussen very interesting to hear your thoughts as you know i talked about the sound check it's going to be a very interesting year ahead hope you'll come and talk with us more as this situation plays out thank you jim. switching gears across the pond now over gere's and heckling from m.p.'s the under siege british prime minister is facing a furious house of commons after the supreme court ruled his suspension of parliament on lawful despite suffering defeat after defeat and taunting the opposition to force an election they've rejected twice boris johnson blamed m.p.'s for trying to do. the good people of this country can see perfectly clearly what is going on they know good because you're going to honor its promises to respect the referendum the people in this parliament will keep it will keep sabotaging the
9:12 pm
negotiations because they want the deal this is because the truth is good members all because it's our living and to see my work i want breaks it down and people want us out on october 31st m.p. is scrambled back to work after the controversial suspension of parliament was ruled void by the u.k.'s highest court on tuesday lawmakers say the pro gay sion was a cynical attempt by boris johnson to stop them having a say on preventing britain crashing out of the year without a deal on october 31st that 1st session back was never going to be an easy ride of course with furious opposition m.p.'s venting at the ruling conservatives but the government's chief legal advisor the man who had told the boys johnston the suspension was good to go railed at fellow lawmakers speech. he's our disgrace we now have
9:13 pm
a wide number of this house. race against levy to denying the electorate the chocks of having a. very impoverished matter should be resolved this column which is very. rarely you he was hoping that parliament would still be probed until the middle of october but as it was we saw that ruling yesterday by the u.k.'s supreme court unanimously coming to the conclusion that that decision to probe parliament by the government wasn't lawful and in fact ruling that as far as they were concerned it never happened there was no such thing that no legal basis and so m.p.'s were able to once more take their seats in the house of commons today where we saw those very far east scenes not just. the ones we saw from the attorney general but also from other m.p.'s who while so was delighted to be back in the house also out the government these government stands in shame tendering illegal advice to our monarch
9:14 pm
and not even able to uphold our most basic but most important of principles abiding by the rule of law to speak we had no notice of the intention to prove with your assistance we could have entertained motions against seats or even a motion of no confidence so it was a coup wasn't it. she did not in if you like to go prioritization. down the scotch side of the time i sat down at the take assembly. and i give time to you like this i believe just like they describe when i start to talk about. actually yes i guess right now the government say that while they disagree with that ruling parliament had to say it once more they will abide by it and then trying to table the motion calling for a general election we've already seen the opposition in the house of commons rejecting that twice before they say that boris johnson's attempts to try to get an
9:15 pm
election are just a distraction process and what they want to do is to stop and no deal bragg's it from taking place also those opposition figures calling on that boris johnson to stand down it's not likely that he will but with those with that deadline of october 31st looming and parliament saying that he must extend school 50 and call for an extension to the gregs a deadline it's really unclear to see what's going to happen next. the f.b.i. has arrested in the army soldier who allegedly planned to bomb a news network and assassinate a presidential candidate but the arrest has also uncovered a wider plot for the man to join a notorious ukrainian ultranationalist group fighting in eastern ukraine as artie's donald quarter comments he is far from the only american joining the ranks of ukrainian you know nazis. planning a terror attack preparing to murder and tea for members this isn't
9:16 pm
a movie plot it's the allegations that recently landed jarrett william smith in an f.b.i. cell and authorities say his plans were only confined to the us of a smith had spoken about his desire to travel to ukraine to fight with the ukraine based violent far right paramilitary group as of battalion why ukraine well it's a hotbed for the far right and white supremacy which have a big influence in the country's military the as all battalion for example its insignia features 2 nazi era symbols still widely used by neo nazi groups. smith was dead set on joining up with as of and it's not just him reports say some of his collaborators were already fighting with another neo nazi group called right
9:17 pm
sector it seems kiev has a poll for americans on the far right remember charlottesville. for members of a far right group involved in that riot were arrested and lo and behold they too had a fixation on the eyes of battalion they even traveled to europe and met one of the battalions leaders with so many neo nazis in the us you would think washington would unambiguously oppose their growth but that's just not the case at 1st in 2015 congress unanimously voted against military aid to the neo nazi as of battalion i am grateful that the house of representatives unanimously passed my amendments last night to ensure that our military does not train members of the. neo nazi azoff
9:18 pm
battalion but just one year later washington changed its mind and all of the sudden pictures began surfacing on social media of as of and u.s. soldiers striking poses together it makes you wonder if the u.s. even thinks nazi ideology is a threat let alone something negative frankly you now are betting screens for human rights violations not for ideology neo nazis you know can join the us army to looks like the us army will take anyone these days as long as they hate the people washington wants them to hate in this case given the race and you russian. dominated the united states or at least a decade if not more it isn't surprising that there would be people who were eager to join the military who. are crazy with. russia as i look around leaders and when you have a volunteer. military as the us does it does attract.
9:19 pm
not necessarily very good people it also attracts people who subscribe to dangerous etiology that there should be a bidding process to prevent people who have these dangerous goes. however. probably the us military simply doesn't have the vetting process there so eager to get as many recruits as possible that they will have almost everyone in the. let's lighten things up and i have to say that space is cool spacecraft carrying the latest a crew of 3 astronauts to the international space station has done successfully they took off earlier on wednesday from baikonur kazakhstan the delicate process of connecting their spacecraft to the i took just under 2 hours it is the 1st time since 2015 that the i.s.a.'s will have 9. people on board instead of the usual compliment of 6 it is
9:20 pm
a momentous occasion for the united arab emirates as its 1st ever astronaut is one of the new crew longside counterparts from the u.s. and russia rockies saskia taylor was lucky enough to be in kazakhstan and watch the launch. and we can see that the engine has ignited. and the next oh far. just so you can understand what it feels like to be standing where i am i'm around 2 kilometers away from the launch pad known as the guardian star and the ground underneath me can hear the people call to the ground underneath me is just read about the rating this is not a trauma but the shaking from that last off it's going through my whole body combined not of course with the deafening roar as those engines kicked into action
9:21 pm
imagine the power that is needed in order to propel that 15 me to tool $310.00 ton rocket into the ad and then of course you have that beautiful the mesmerizing flame of the fuel that ignited it really is almost indescribably dramatic not flying today of russian cosmonaut but sky american just a command and. months away from the united arab emirates not this you want has to win in a bigger crowd than usual y. while full military pilot tons of snow elements or he will become the fust amorality and indeed the 1st arab to ever set foot on the international space station what are they going to do one set up that while they're due to come down in march 2020 and they have got lots to get on with not only have they got to conduct over $300.00 experiments with a focus on astronauts health problems with the fission that lee. so i have several planned spacewalks and this is really all in preparation
9:22 pm
a contribution to the future plans missions while both to the moon and 2024 but after that potentially to maz so that we have the 100 and 44th launch of the so i use rocket into space expedition 61 on the way to its new home that i assess 100 kilometer says above the sky joining a long and prestigious history and space exploration it's been almost 60 years since cosmonaut yuri gagarin of course became the fast man to fly in space and here we are decades on still exploring still innovating and still if it gives the cliche reaching for the stars. a bit of a troubling story of politicians and journalists around the world are still picking over the speech of the 16 year old climate activist. the u.n. climate summit while she has been widely praised for her impassioned address there
9:23 pm
are those who say that she is leaving a cult for the younger generation of has his own very unique commentary and take and comments on the thin line between activism and fanaticism. the thing with climate change is it's called deligated we don't fully understand it ourselves we know it's happening we know some of the reasons but it's all tenuous and the guys who have the best grasp of it scientists and always easy to understand but that's why mother nature gave us climate change activists no need for his meteorology degree there.
9:24 pm
are many activists it isn't about science or facts policy or debate it's faith belief in something greater something they don't necessarily understand conics plain and boom comprehend like the judeo christian religion the world is going to end in 12 years if we don't address climate change we face catastrophe and crisis on this planet climate change that though is not something that we have to prepare for it is something that is here you know there's a word for that the in that feeling that the world is about to end that i'm again is around the corner schooled eschatology and it formed the basis of early christian dogma but the day of the lord will come as a thief in the night in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise and the elements will melt with fervent heat both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up we should be grateful to climate change
9:25 pm

9:28 pm
cleanse your polluted souls seriously they've got a climate confessions page that tell me this isn't a full blown religion. canadian foreign minister christian freeland got a cold welcome at the university of toronto this weekend and i war protesters interrupted her town hall meeting accusing her of waging economic war on venezuela and calling her a warmonger. you condone the sale of weapons of mass destruction to saudi arabia which is committing god gave. this your really why are you waging war economic war against the people of venezuela who have done no harm to canada was. organizers of the event quickly ended the meeting with freeland saying she could not answer questions with all the shouting this is the 2nd awkward episode to hit canada's governing liberal party recently last week prime minister justin trudeau
9:29 pm
came under attack after photos emerged showing him wearing a brown and black face at costume a vents years ago anti-war activist barry waste letter who took part in the protest told us christian freeland has taken canadian foreign policy in the wrong direction . canadian foreign policy has been aligned with the president trumps policy in washington and it has been very adverse to the interests of muslims of the arab peoples of all the peoples of the world and canadians are upset about a government headed by justin trudeau and his number one minister chris christie freeland who who claim to be a progressive even feminist but in fact are imperialists to the core we're campaigning against them she's the 2nd most important person in the cabinet. so if justin trudeau were to step aside or to be removed for less than
