and military aid from the ukraine from ukraine at trump's behest from intelligence whistleblowers thwarted to attempting to collude with a foreign power for potential dirt on election opponent to a who's who of the administration as rogues gallery electroboy rudy giuliani and secretary of state might come pale this impeachment beecher's all all of the bell ways favorite political figures topics and places and those energize the democrats in the mainstream news media but you know all of this begs a very important question why did it take a threat to the election chances of joe biden to invigorate democratic party bosses to find the grounds to finally impeach president donald trump. i guess you know putting immigrant children in cages instituting a ban on muslims at our borders or the dropping of bombs on civilians in syria and afghanistan just start really consider impeachable offenses these days and what my friends those that say about us now let's start watching the hawks.
1:31 am
to. get the. real thing it's. like you know what i got. with. the. both of them on the watching i robot and then tabitha lawless joining us to discuss the impeachment inquiry and present as the president of the phyllis safely evil for an education and legal defense fund and marc thanks for joining us great to be with you thank you got it out all right so i got the allegations what trump an administration are being accused of it appears that. it appears that they literally did with ukraine what muller and company tried and failed to prove he did with russia and that's collude with a foreign power to damage
1:32 am
a political opponent why did the trump of ministration essentially attempt to to do what they just got cleared of well look i think 1st of all i think that it's been interesting to watch the democrats get ahead of the story and now today we have more of the story when you read the transcript and again i think we have all of it i haven't actually seen all the coverage is totally on redacted but we do hire the president to be in charge of among other things the election upcoming in the integrity election and one of the things he's saying is there's big corruption with biden that's now known it's a fact there was no quid pro quo this is kind of classic trump and you know when you're the president member obama and his admin. stray ssion were the ones that listened at least to steal and when they said hey what is this do you have something on trump let's investigate now i think we all wonder about what the roots of that were but the president supposed to do that so you know i think it's not impeachable as you point out there's other moments in the ministration where you could say hey that's a worse piece of conduct than this exchange it's interesting it really is
1:33 am
interesting let me ask you. then how do you think that we would. see the democrats pushing for this impeachment if the candidate they were looking for information on was state healthy gabardine well no obviously told. a bum deal as you see by the way i think was that she the leading democrat to say don't bother with impeachment will just divide the country and it won't be worth the trouble no the answer is no somewhere elizabeth warren is looking at the camera watching us and saying this is good for my campaign but i you know look i think the different question the other question right now is nancy pelosi didn't want to do this and even when she did it people are noticing she didn't say there's the committee it will be this group she said there's going to be i think 6 areas of investigation there's not going to be one fast track she's really so now what's what's nancy pelosi choices either she gets it done and the country looks up and says you know it's not going to pass the senate anyway we're voting senate or she
1:34 am
doesn't get it done and trumps exonerated so she's put herself in a box and i don't know how she gets out and that's an interesting come aboard you know and speaking of where this all leads to i mean let's say you know if your investigation actually commences given the length of time i'm going to write it we all kind of live through impeachment process is before they take forever and yet many of them say of all our own another right old enough to have truly lived there i remember and gosh what fun it will. yell obviously talk about the one that was like 200 years ago by the way one detail that no one said you know that far as i've seen you know move on dot org started as an effort to go. hadn't censure bill clinton and move on to the business in other words that was people that love bill clinton who said cut it out don't do this don't impeach him just move on to the business you have to wonder with 94 percent of the republican party behind trump are there going to be people remember nancy pelosi has 7 to 15 members democrat members who won in trump districts that are wondering how they'll win again i mean
1:35 am
remember these are crass he said off the air these are crass politicians we wish they were better they're politicians they're going to be looking for their next election so is there a conservative move on dot org about to to form i don't know move on or is very effective you know the timing of this all as well as what we've said you know there's a lot you can impeach trump for but the timing of it is a big deal will the results of this impeachment or wall of this process even make it to the 2020 alexion and ultimately won't this be up to the voters at the end of the day well i think i make a little different point that i think what this is doing is damaging the president's chances to do the things he's been trying to do whether you like it or not he's negotiating a trade deal with china he's likely negotiating a trade deal with great britain as soon as they drop out of you he's by the way there's going to be i would my bet i bet $10.00 there's going to be a supreme court nominee in the next 3 months so now you have a president under the cloud of impeachment so will they say i think they will we can't make these decisions he's not qualified we can't let him decide these things
1:36 am
this is about throwing sand in the gears of governing i think sometimes we'd agree less governing and less passing laws we good but i don't think anything will be decided by election day except that by nobody out because of this and elizabeth warren or whoever will be running and saying look at past all that mess let's try something new. one of the things i think that's interesting is about the impeachment that like we've said in the clinton impeachment was essentially because he lied about an extramarital affair not that he had one or that he lied about it and not that he was a kid is this actual misconduct with a whole bunch of totally credible women that wasn't a knock knock for bosnia just there were clear and then when you look at. this thread of impeachment to next that i resigned it was it was a. it was about a 1000000 other things it was a cover up to do this it was about a 1000000 other things carpet bombing cambodia i mean i know many reasons to say
1:37 am
you're a danger why is that we only seem to see at least now is the threat to impeach a president or president for crimes related to the election. not say lying about the iraq war or. curating secret drone assassination or is there conducting mounds of whining of bridge of them to us and why are the whistleblowers of torture of these things why are those people not protected like the whistleblower who goes said something bad like we needed someone. but here's the thing when they designed the constitution the bar for impeachment was different they debated this they said what should it be and they made the bar very high as you point out i mean so and here's i agree with you in the sense we're not talking about what those are political arguments we elect a president to make bad decisions or good decisions and we should have an election about that coming up this high crimes and misdemeanors for impeachment it's not
1:38 am
it's not the kinds of things we're hearing i just don't think now i just was talking to one of our tea journalists here who said trump looked terrible today and he did poorly what happens is you start to make mistakes right under a lot of pressure and you make a different mistake if you're nixon you make worse mistakes after the fact they give you a smoking gun and what i do think is the president's under incredible stress his team is to they may or may not have made mistakes in the past but they may make them now and when they make them now then someone to be there to point out and it's a again that's part of the process i think what they're doing and i think it goes back i think you're right i think you saw him at that u.n. speech where it's sort of like the way a lot of ways seems to be on time and it seems to be there and it's there's a very famous television show called dr who and there's a point where a leader. where someone wants to sort of just get at someone and it's essentially someone whispers to someone next to them and says ok time. that's right and i tell you that says it's like well just prove that you have and i mean. there's like that
1:39 am
it's the most electioneering they can do here's my question do you think he's going to stay in the election if this goes on if he's going to go for a 2nd time but if he does do you think he'll do you think you'll agree to debate whoever is the democratic nominee 100 percent look i mean one thing that's not being paid attention to is the weakness of the democrat candidate field you know again i was talking off air with one of the r.t. journalists i mean trump is older but the field right now sanders biden and warren these are 70 year old folks there's not a lot of trump head to head still is competitive i don't think he'll ever back down i think he'll be in there i think will debate them all that a lot clearer out i think the more interesting question we just touched on i was once chief of staff to the governor we talked up there by your father and when you're in a scandal as we were the intensity of it all makes you you know make other mistakes in judgment and that's very usually the presidency is a huge benefit for an incumbent because you get all the power of the in this case you have all the weight of governing and all the way to the scandal but i think the
1:40 am
president loves this action i know he looked tired today and i think he will use it to his advantage and remember this election is going to be about turnout and if the if the democrats pick a candidate who's not sanders and all the sanders people say boy we're going back to one of those milk toast middle trump people are coming through fire to vote for him so it's going to be a fascinating 15 months if it does i think bother me and we've talked about it it does bother me though that in this country it seems that we care more about the political machinations of you know which party is in charge rather than what the actual president is ok and what they're doing i mean we've seen scandal after scandal for both parties where i would look back and say you know lying about iraq a 1000000 people dead that some people you know that was orchestrated when you look at. i can say i like obama like you mentioned killer drone list these are impeachable things but yet those are high crimes and misdemeanors me but you know or you know killing americans who are walking without a without a proper due trial which obama did these are all possible things and here we are
1:41 am
just kind of stuck on the crossroads of you know will impeach over electioneering and things like that but i got to say thank you so much for that honestly what you have in your center and always a pleasure. all right as we go to break watchers don't forget to let us know what you think it proper to cover our social media and be sure to check out watching the hawks the podcast which is now available on spotify apple there's a good everywhere you listen to your favorite podcast coming up our team for just the latest on yet another layer to the scandal surrounding boeing and their ground at 737 max planes and then we highlight united nations international day of peace through the eyes of children stay tuned to watch.

bolton's appointment sent tremors around washington to the least among those who are out of government and many of those in government because it is a long track record of being a very strong polemical bursary a man who understands how to make the government were very much polarization it was . various times arguing for greater here ran for invading north korea etc and this was very much not working for the president wanted to go so why he pointed and there's a bit of this. this is a story about what happens austria stray bullets kills a young girl in the streets. what happens to her family and daughters in florida you know the mother daughter is buried in

adviser to president on the tram mike. flynn is back in the headlines with flynn currently awaiting sentencing on charges of lying to investigators during the moeller probe there's been a curious turn in the court case involving one of flynn's former business partners who was also swept up in russia investigations r t america's their money has the story. in an unexpected turn on tuesday a federal court in virginia overturned a case against michael flint ex business partner. he was often referred to as the conviction came in july when he was violating foreign agent registration act fara eastern up court district in virginia judge anthony trained dismissed all accounts citing insufficient evidence the evidence was insufficient as a matter of law for the jury to convict rafiki and on either count a new trial would be warranted in the interest of justice should the court's judgment of acquittal be later vacated or reversed he came into the picture under

the probe of russian interference the jury convicted him of operating as a turkish government agent while intentionally failing to notify u.s. officials of his work trying to point out to doubts as to why you were so quick to convict in just 3 hours and worked with glenn prior to joining the trumpet ministration for former flynn intel group their work included efforts to extradite a muslim cleric living in the u.s. back to his homeland of turkey this decision is a 2nd blow to the justice department who has more recently cracked down on unregistered lobbying by foreign governments earlier this month former white house counsel gregory craig who worked under the obama administration was recently found not guilty for lying about his work with ukraine this all trumps former national security adviser michael flynn awaits his sentence on his plea when he admitted to lying to investigators about his contact with the russian ambassador during trump's transition and earlier this week attorney said the powell said former national

actually violate constitutional rights of american citizens who are out of so this judge is clearly could avoid you know him he's definitely making a name for himself as a probable jobs in some of these i profile cases and what his decision making to you know early july 1 of the other things like not been a really good year for russia gave. in these court cases afterward so in early july u.s. district judge dabney u.s. attorney general william barr and robert mahler violated court rules in public statements about saying that the russian firm concord management consulting was connected to the russian government so there were certain things where they were saying that things happened and that certain connections were proven and made and they were just because somebody does work with people who live in russia or people who do business with the russian government doesn't also meant we mean that everything that's connected goes there is through there and i think that's one of
1:49 am
the main. threads that will that will have to sort of be real living gated through russia gate as that simple proximity is not enough and we did this with terrorism and we've done it with you know now russia gate it's if you're near or anybody who looks or sounds or might be or knows the word terrorist then you're a terrorist by association well if you know anyone who is russian you're guilty by association or. you know you're not a horrible person who judges people by what magical lines they were born and just throwing it out there like. since march of this year boeing 737 max has been grounded across the globe up for 2 fatal crashes of the narrow body aircraft in 20182019 now a whistleblower report has revealed that some federal aviation administration inspectors for the boeing 737 max planes were under qualified and actually misled
1:50 am
lawmakers about that fact r t correspondent correspondent burned brunswick on the story. this latest federal investigation found that federal aviation administration inspectors weren't all qualified and that revealed the f.a.a. and boeing had a very cozy relationship now this all stems from a whistle blower's complaint about the qualifications of federal aviation administration inspectors who worked on training requirements for the boeing 737 max planes the f.a.a. as office of audit and evaluation found that only 16 of the 22 safety inspectors didn't even complete the formal training and 11 of those 16 that never finished didn't even have flight instructor certificates however back in april the f.a.a. told a senate panel that all of their inspectors for the boeing $737.00 max were qualified but the special counsel henry kerner released this statement the f.a.a.
1:51 am
is intrusted with the critically important role of ensuring aircraft safety as a failure to ensure safety inspector competency for these aircraft puts the flying public at risk of the f.a.a. fired back with this statement we remain confident in our representation in the congress and in the work of our aviation safety professionals all of the aviation safety inspectors who participated in the evaluation of the boeing 737 max were full. qualified for those activities some $37.00 max has been grounded worldwide since march after there were 2 crashes within 5 months of each other that claimed the lives of all $346.00 on board today boeing will start to pay financial assistance to the families of those victims that's a total of $50000000.00 but the news of this has not gone down well with these victims' families with many calling this move disingenuous on april 4th 3 weeks after the dates of my family in what i have since learned is
1:52 am
a shameful part of behavior by boeing and airplane money for trust boeing shifted focus from the root cause of the crashes which is the design flaw in the 737 marks and then cause and started talking about 14 pilot error these distracted. from what i read caused the crashes and. to you money to each country will decide for itself whether or not the boeing $737.00 max will return to its friendly skies airlines are still waiting on the f.a.a. to approve the plane and boeing says it hopes the 737 is back in service by the end of 2019 for watching the hawks i'm fair in front back. well. it's kind of interesting because boeing used to have months those in the aeronautics industry had this very proud of being having a safety culture where everything was around safety everything it was about making
1:53 am
sure the engineers were at the top and making decisions and that has sort of gone down to the you know gone to the wayside. year after year they're either you know they're buying up big or you know other smaller companies are going and doing all of these deals and trying to maximize profits so one of the things that happened was that before the $737.00 max was ever even a development ploy so the f.a.a. had raised the alarm in 2012 that boeing had too much power and was a little too cozy with the f.a.a. and its decision making a lot of people even said that there were retaliated against for speaking up when they did have concerns and now here we are 7 years later and you have 2 major plans and they're like oh we'll get it we're going to back up it's not entirely great thing when you look at it because one of things have to realize is on the board of directors and all these people there's no pilots there's no engineers i mean 11 i
1:54 am
think maybe the c.e.o. has like a pilot. but these are not people who build airplanes to do anything they think about maximizing profit. that goes with. the new republic quote the airplane manufacturing is no different from mortgage lending or. distribution or make believe blood and malice is software another cash for the one percent bio and inexorably for the slaughterhouse doesn't have the language right there but from what you told me about absolutely true when you have people that even though he was a pilot or an engineer and there was a lot of what they want from. a safety culture to one in which engineers were kind of who when they said things and safety things understand the software issue that was honest pilots weren't told about it because boeing and their people felt it would just overwhelm them with information oh come on that's not a safety that's not
1:55 am
a culture of safety that is not somebody i'm not getting in those plans and i don't really think anybody else. this week more than 4000000 people of all ages participated in a series of climate strikes led by students like us use climate strike director 16 year old anya sitar and 13 year old water advocate autumn pelletier in addition $7000.00 drawings from more than 30 countries are being exhibited in rome italy at the iconic coliseum it will be the largest collection of children's peace drawings in the world named colors of peace the exhibit asked children to show us what this piece look like to you here with all the kids out there fighting for a better future helping to save the world for all of us and triggering so many nihilists with a little bit of hope true and. it's very beautiful to. get so triggered when kids like it ok to stand up and say hey we want a better future. and i have no idea i don't i don't understand it either i find the
1:56 am
whole idea if you are seriously like i'm up by the fact that a 16 year old girl a bunch without a bunch of other 1617 and like are you drawing pictures are being part of these things or going out and and being part of you know environmental. causes and all of that you've got to look at the mayor and ask yourself why you're so triggered by a teenager and why you know these are the same people most likely you made 100000 excuses to use this for the behavior of the covington kids and so it's like look if it's they have a right to come here and try to take what my you know my rights as a woman away from me these kids are allowed to save the planet and if we're going to respect the kids and what they're doing then i have to go both ways and you have to really like respect i think i think you and i both are excited to see him that you and kids like this come together talking peace talks means we're going to take a break right time to save the world every day all right for this speaking of
