what's known at this point a 19 year old student smuggled a gun into a construction college where he was studying this by the way is the classroom where the tragedy unfolded with investigators working at the scene the attacker who was described as calm and quiet forced the teacher out of the room before opening fire on his classmates he then turns the gun on himself here's what witnesses told us shortly after the incident. the 5 of us went to the toilet i was the 1st to answer and i felt how he put a gun to my stomach he kept silent for a while and then said get out of here again there's no. us government quotes he somehow managed to work through the security with a gun and killed. could you i wanted to see what was going on i couldn't even imagine that something like this could happen now sitting. there when you with tried to call our children but no one responded and then we received the names in

1:07 pm
a permit for the firearm so it was legally obtain. as i see investigation underway now to stop this the details but according to witnesses and some of his classmates the there could have been animosity conflicts between the students apparently he may have been the victim of bullying which in no way excuses what he did but it certainly flushes out the circumstances investigation is under way already the security guard at the college has been arrested on suspicion of criminal negligence apparently the company that hired him a private security firm there also in hot water because he wasn't licensed to be a security guard at this college. nevertheless the investigation continues as more information comes in we'll will bring it to our viewers one thing i must mention though is you know being there in the aftermath of
1:08 pm
a school shooting i was encouraged last year there were fortunately many more casualties there. but it always leaves a mark you know the shooting at the school with society's moved vulnerable. libya has been hit by a fresh round of violent protests this time from the supporters of former president evo morales he had resigned after days of rallies demanding it depart chips his supporters however are now on the streets calling for the new government to bring him back. as you are up. next to the government residence tear gas was used against protesters demanding the immediate resignation of the government the member expulsion of commerce mensah come on show from the country you can see the grass crowd behind me this seems to be an endless story judging by what is happening now
1:09 pm
the army is also next to the police including tanks that support them. even morale is fled to mexico along with many of his party members step down on monday after weeks of violence triggered by claims that last month's election victory was rigged were almost as describe the events as ok violence looting and vandalism followed and some of his supporters now say they're fearing for their lives are not i don't like they have carried out a coup d'etat against as as of last night we are living like a dictatorship times they are hunting our leaders they are hunting it's very likely that they will see me and what my head to. the divisions are caused by race as they persecute us as bolivians those from i'll tell they discriminate against us because we come from alto in the past they discriminate against those who wear skirts and we want to allow it on tuesday bolivian senator janine declared herself into him president of bolivia and was sworn in by her allies artie's donald corsair picks up
1:10 pm
the story. a new force has seized bolivia's political reins her name is janine is and she's just declared herself interim president but if you did as president of the senate i immediately take on the state presidency for a scene in the constitution and i swear to undertake all the measures necessary to bring peace to the country imus has long been a critic of her socialist predecessor of all more alice who was forced to resign several days ago after the army dropped its support she evoked the constitution to justify getting the top job and is called for new elections but i guess herself wasn't actually elected she was just next in line after the president vice president and head of the senate all relinquish their posts even the legislature itself didn't really elect her because morales supporters boycotted that session now the real people who put her in power there are a colorful bunch. meet mr camacho he was part of
1:11 pm
a gang that wasted little time ransacking morales is former home. but these trespassers weren't just a bunch of thieves they were searching for a more spiritual experience here's camacho and his buddies praying with a bible after breaking into the house one of their supporters praised it as christ's return to the bolivian government the bible is returning to the government powerless never again will the pacha mama goodness return today christ is returning to the government powerless to live is for christ but you don't see that 2nd coming but then again come on shows long had a unique take on the lord's work he spent years leading a religious fundamentalist organization called the santa cruz youth union aside from its reputation for p.t.

it's also a purveyor of right wing ideology how far to the right well it doesn't get much farther than this when you. get. a sizeable number of the oppositions activists may be a bit unhinged but it's the political arm that is far more presentable carlos mesa was president before moralists and lost another election to him in october the think tank inter-american dialogue lists him as an expert on its website it's d.c. based and u.s. government funded but may says connections to washington run far deeper than that according to wiki leaks he was corresponding with the u.s. embassy in bolivia for years discussing the details of his political strategy no less in a meeting with the charge on october the 27th messa all but acknowledged that ever would win his constitution in january and that there was little point in taking that quick zone think of trying to defeat it of course that makes the white house
1:13 pm
pretty happy the resignation yesterday of bolivian president evo morales is a significant moment for democracy in the western hemisphere these events send a strong signal to the illegitimate regimes in venezuela nicaragua the democracy and the will of the people will always prevail but the situation on the ground is becoming increasingly unstable especially now that the military isn't being 100 percent cooperative right now. then you have refused to coordinate with the national police or you are saying the military is being overtaken by criminal cords which are destroying to capital as a bolivian do your job we do not want more blood you will be responsible for everything that happens if after my order which i make as a president to stand it for the crimes don't end it will be your responsibility on his may have gotten to the top sticking to the letter of the law but it's going to take a lot more than that if she wants to patch up latin america's latest political vacuum
1:14 pm
human rights lawyer down like told us the media can manipulate perceptions of the situation in bolivia with selective coverage. this is a race is kill but it is now turning very violent by the police against the indigenous population who are to support around us now have been well documented in the western press it goes generally the western press supports the coup against morales this is a classic you know media manipulation situation the chance you know wrote about manufacturing consent when you know our courses meaning the us has allies earlier when they take power we playing with democratic even if it may be a right when dictatorship we claim that morality is was undemocratic even though he had been elected a number of times democratically but again those who we oppose we claim are
1:15 pm
undemocratic in those who read some who are we claim are supporting freedom and democracy even if their star still ahead in the program china gives a warning to washington over a bill in support of protests in hong kong one that's after this very short break stay with us. what i suggest is a call to reverse hunger games then reverse and again i randomly take $10.00 to $15.00 billionaires every year and strip them of everything get that to 0 and pour some out there and make it into the world of commerce and see if they can build it up scratch again introduce risk back into the american capital system once you have a certain amount of money there's no more risk you're just clipping coupons for vanity and you have no stake in the game whatsoever.

a good enough story to start with at the time not all of our reporting met our standards to air but we have never stopped investigating this story now we've asked both c.b.s. and. b.c. for further comment the latter have already said they never stopped looking into the obscene story and will release a 2 hour documentary plus a podcast sometime next year of the high standards of mainstream media are admirable so high in fact that even those who cover well media didn't find anything interesting untoward or newsworthy in the a.b.c. would love story n.p.r.'s on the media funded partially with taxpayer dollars hasn't mentioned the story neither have many others in the days following the scandal there seem to be almost no mention of the story on m.s.m. b c c.b.s. america's a.b.c. or n.b.c. news it's like in never happened all the facts were simply reported from a.b.c.'s version of events like the new york times did but meeting standards seems to be

a bit of a pattern take road and pharo one of the journalists who broke the harvey weinstein story and works in a n b c but the network was very reluctant to air it and why after 7 months without one victim or witness on the record he simply didn't have a story that met our standard for broadcast nor that of any major news organization thank god for media standards making sure only the most newsworthy stories make it on air this wasn't really a political story necessarily it was simply a story about corruption and power and some very disgusting crimes that were being committed the problem is that it looks like there's no other competing network that we just we see them all basically invent to gether and protecting the same people the mainstream media is a sort of incest us old boy system where one kind of looks out for each other and others for one another this seems to go well beyond that into looking more like a cartel you know they are really doubling down they're going out of their way to
