this is trump presenting his proposal my vision presents a win win opportunity for both it's a realistic 2 state solution the resolves the risks of palestinian statehood to israel's security today israel has taken a giant step toward peace. now palestinian voices don't seem to share trumps optimism when it comes to this proposal namely because they were not included in the conference where this proposal was actually drawn up no palestinians were involved in drafting this proposal now trump basically has put forward that the palestinians will have 4 years to accept this deal and he says it is in their interest because it will double their territory he actually tweeted out a map of what things would look like under his proposal however it's worth noting

that there was a lack of clarity on some of the points even as trump was speaking he mentioned that jerusalem which was recognized by the united states as the israeli capital would be israel's undivided capital but he also mentioned that the deal would include a palestinian embassy a u.s. embassy for palestinians for a palestinian state in east jerusalem not exactly clear how that would work take a listen under this vision jerusalem will remain israel's undivided very important undivided capital this map will more than double the palestinian territory and provide a palestinian capital in eastern jerusalem where america will proudly open and embassy. now benjamin netanyahu the israeli prime minister was very enthusiastic about the deal though he didn't seem to emphasize it being for good for both sides

a resoundingly unanimous palestinian. position regarding this and it is aligned with international law it's aligned with the international consensus and it leaves not the whole and and trump the 2 bodies in their own corner what trump presented is not a plan it is not a starter of any kind of conversation and it certainly doesn't even fall anywhere near a starting line for negotiations for a peace deal what it does the is that it puts the united states in the grouping of rogue states that have absolutely no regard for international law that undermine the standing of the united nations and all the rules and and laws that have regulated international politics for over 70 years. and for very personal very narrow political objectives. will legitimize annexation
