greetings and sal you take shit you know i opened up the merriam webster dictionary today and found some of the many definitions of liberty they are the power to do as one pleases sort of the power of choice 11 definition that has been tossed around in political circles and rallies for the definition of liberty a lot these days is that liberty is the freedom from arbitrary or despotic control and it was apparently this particular definition that led hundreds upon hundreds upon hundreds of us citizens across the country from michigan and minnesota down to texas and up to colorado to throw down their face masks and rubber gloves and take to their streets their capitol buildings and their governor's residences in protest of the social distancing policies and stay at home borders that have affectively closed businesses both large and small across the country since the start of the code 19 pandemic us president donald trump he triumphantly egged those protesters
2:31 am
on tweeting proudly liberate michigan liberate minnesota and liberate virginia yes it was our undying need for liberty and freedom because these protests to take place much like the boston tea party of old. or at least that's the bill of goods that was sold to these poor souls who are out there like lemmings putting themselves and their families a risk they've been sold that their lives are only worth the work that they do for the corporations that own them and that not being able to go to applebee's or great clips or wrestling matches means that somehow the constitution or bill of rights no longer exists here in the united states but do not blame these poor souls out there protesting they are clearly going through the denial and anger phases of the 7 stages of coronavirus grief and they are being taken advantage of by these people.
2:32 am
save your blame for the ghouls the band the flames of fear paranoia and the rejection of common medical sense ghouls like these 2 we have people dying 45000 people a year die from automobile accidents 480000 from cigarettes 360008 year from swimming pools that we don't shut the country down through there but yet we're doing it through this new models are out of control think condom is out of control china is the one that's out of control we're not going to let you destroy this country or our way of life we were too hard and we fought too long to lose it to our womb and. they only care about your liberty when it threatens their livelihood and their political connections and they are why you always must be watching the hawks. if you want to go on a city street you want to. see the crisis you always
2:33 am
stay i'll see you always. great to see this least systemic deception is complete show which. some joke. well we're going to watch in the arcs i am tyrone and i'm of a means of that's the people i believe that we need to be holding accountable for this not these poor idiots in the streets or thinking that they're losing their liberty by actually staying safe and staying indoors but the people that are feeding them those kind of pack of lies like dr phil over here try to make a comparison with car accidents are somehow the same as the covert 19 give me a break that the bill is taking a page from president trump is as you probably recall before we instituted the stay at home waters and things like that back in february early march president was actually going around. saying this he was saying in
2:34 am
a part of podiums across the country basically there are so many people that die from car accidents so why don't we take this seriously that was basically the posturing that he was given for the entire country and the funny thing about that clip is you can tell that dr phil was actually reading off those that he literally have paper and he was going line by line while he was describing this so something in him said to prepare beforehand before he actually said this completely ridiculous comments think about dr phil and those of his ilk is that he's been selling lies to america for a long time and i think that now you know he's aligned himself with this president he feels like he has an audience a broad audience that has followed him for a year so he has in some ways the delicate sense of credibility among people and i think he just it shows that he took it to court because we're seeing massive backlash from his comments there people who have lost relatives there people who've lost loved ones there are folks who are still being tested and going through everything right now so those comments aren't really settling well no and i think people have to remember is that the motivation for this it's and they want to get
2:35 am
their economy working because they are losing money doctor bills losing money because people don't have that extra income that they usually send them to watch his show or buy his books you know judge jeanine you know her political connections are losing ground which makes her feel really scared and upset like oh my goodness plus she should stick to water before she does a show and they're actually excited and i don't know what she does do with stick to water judge so that you know and you know and then advertising things like that but these people are all really snake oil salesman during this time of crisis it's not a you know this is about protecting us and look i understand the fear that people are going through they see their wages dropping you know they feel that that's frightening thing of what do i do this doesn't feel right i should be at home i should be out it's not as bad as they're saying i get it i do but your liberty means just as much as my liberty just because you want to go out and go back shopping again and go to the store and go to the barber doesn't mean i want you to infect my liberty does. i mean i want you to take away my liberty to not get sick
2:36 am
or not have a family get sick absolutely and in a big but it's easy for them to can take this as a liberty argument because you always have those rally around the flag people who are all to write jump on this these are the same folks who are against rallying when it is black matter these are the same folks who are against rallying when it's women who are pro-choice or individuals who are pro-choice in general these are individuals who are going state when it comes to civil rights they don't care but now when it comes to something that they feel like they want to do when i think that you're right it's because of a means of production it's because it's understandable that people feel that they need to be able to get back to work i don't think anybody denies that on either side of the aisle but there is something to be said about public health and to have a president lead the way in people ignoring this public health crisis and feeling like they can just jump out even though we do not have the testing capacity yet to even show how many people actually have this virus i think it's completely ignorant it is and don't don't let them in your mind into believing that somehow the economy
2:37 am
matters more than people's lives you know you see dr oz walked back but you see dr oz saying well you know 2 to 3 percent of school children are people getting sick when we got kids back into school that's that's ok losses but i would think is that just there's no such thing like when you hear talk like the smell of trista terms that's that's people you know trying to basically make you comfortable with knowing that lots and lots and lots of people are going to die because of their failures and their secondary argument inherent in that is that you are only good as long as you have means of production they don't care about a lot of the older people dying because they're not contributing to we just every day they're not the people who are contributing to the economy if this was split if younger people were the ones who were higher rates of death then we would see the argument being entirely different we definitely would you go you know you'd be jumping all around if you saw the same thing when the aids pandemic burst where back in the early eighty's it was like well only gay folks are good and so i don't care why do i care about all that and then suddenly want to jump to like hetero folks then some. oh then suddenly you have your own way we got to pay attention to
2:38 am
this now you know but the bottom line is of course you have a right to speak your mind of course you have to watch out for people trying to take your rights in moments of crisis deserve a lot of people who will try to use crisis for that but staying at home and being safe staying at home and not infecting people is not something about taking away liberty that's about actually protecting all our liberties world health safe and helping them out and if we lift all the restrictions tomorrow these thousands of jobs aren't about to combat exactly exactly. 1000 cases continue to sweep across the u.s. with the death toll rising to over 41000 and it least 772000 cases the burden of the berm case is a bit tricky as to still want of a level for the majority of americans and diplomatic carriers of the buyers walk among us every single day the precautions to protect against code 19 are well known social distancing rigorous and repeated hand washing and wearing masks all of these
2:39 am
things though helpful can't be done everywhere prisons and jails are among the list of places where covert 19 is poised to take hundreds of thousands of lives if we don't act quickly in my hometown of chicago the cook county jail one of the largest jail systems in the country has its own battle with 19 the rate of infection there is higher than any jail in america with more than $500.00 testing positive as of last week and the number continues to grow. but it will know it isn't the only in cost of state base and. it's midwestern neighbor ohio is well more than $800.00 inmates at the marion correctional institution have tested positive book about the virus the ohio department of health contributes the state's influx of coronavirus cases solely to the prison at marion correctional a whopping 73 percent of the population tested positive for the virus ohio is rushing to find medical support to treat the overwhelming number of. business and
2:40 am
staff exposed to and contract the coronavirus but it isn't enough prison and jail is a breeding ground for viruses and many already lack the safety instead it's a should needed to slow the spread additionally there is no real way to social distance at all in these facilities. keeping inmates locked up while the virus is spreading it uncontrolled rates in an environment with no real protections is essentially giving the death penalty to hundreds of thousands of people we've seen some state leaders finally get it right like maryland governor larry king who recently signed an executive order releasing hundreds of inmates how long will it take others to do that so that's the $1000000.00 question right there and it's an important question that we have to because we have to take care of everybody in our society not just not just the ones that we love but also the ones that we we are afraid over that we don't want to take care of them too if we're just unprincipled society and this is an incredible story when you talk about 1800 cases in one
2:41 am
prison in ohio that's massive 73 percent of their population and they have no real means of slowing the spread at all it's elevated the state department of health they're trying to do what they can but right now the issue is one they don't have the staffing capacity in terms of nurses and doctors but in addition to that we don't really know even if that is a total number because this is a people who are actually able to see a doctor and get tested in person i think that most people don't don't take into consideration that a lot of our prisoners in jails as well they have to pay copays to see a doctor while they're there to get treatment from a doctor while they're there and where does this money coming from they're not getting regular cash you're not allowed to keep you know they're obviously working their getting pushed the limits in many cases but they're earning by since it in prison their slave wages are essentially you know what's crazy to you know when you look at this whole story is the at the very least the crisis in ohio the correctional facility the economy and illinois could. both could have been averted
2:42 am
absolutely it was one of those things where the states they have been going back and forth the state legislatures have been working on since the since the advent of 1000 since we learned about it what was going to happen with the jail and prison population these arguments have been going on in the left and the right at state houses across the country not withstanding ohio or illinois and what we're seeing is a lot of muscle flexing from both parties in the state in the states and in the state house and we're not seeing a lot of action in terms of directives coming out as to how we're going to deal with this population that you're right that we have and i mean what we've got i mean what trumps you know didn't try to jump forward with what was it the 1st what didn't turn out to be wrong for the prisoners right and that's the ups i think a lot of people gave him credit for the 1st and that both sides of the aisle and what we know was that of the hundreds of thousands of people that were supposed to get out under the 1st step that less than 20 percent of those people have actually been released one of the issues with jails and prisons alike is that there's so much red tape that even when you see something from the federal level come down it
2:43 am
could take years before we see the people who are actually eligible to be released see the light of day. truly just breaks my heart because you think of how many nonviolent offenders make the u.s. prison system and we're not even talking about the federal permits or the you know jail for profit ones you can even get down to like county local jails and things like that where you've got people just in jail locked up for no reason and now they got a virus rampaging through those hallways and that let's not forget there's still the jailers who also can get sick from this correct exactly and that is what we're also seeing so you're having jailers you're having a lot of the even some of the wardens there are people who are literally taking off and have been taking all poor weeks to avoid actually catching something because they don't have p.p. equipment either they don't have masks we're running out of soap like there's a lot going on there and no one's really paying that much attention. but we are and as we go to break remember that you can also start watching the hawks on demand through the brand new portable t.v. available on smartphones through google play. on the apple app store by searching

of a. bird . flu shots possible. so. when the economy takes a nosedive the us government doesn't bail out those who have lost their jobs can't afford rent or mortgages and are seeking assistance to keep their small businesses afloat no uncle sam bails out big mistresses large corporations and banks that's the american way a 2 trillion dollar relief package with a payout for individuals that doesn't even cover one month's rent but rest assured the small business package would help your local business. not so fast the
2:48 am
$350000000000.00 relief fund was exhausted days ago leaving small business owners high and dry but chains like ruth's chris and checks shake shack got their money shake shack c.e.o. found his conscience and gave him 1000000 back citing how the restaurant chain has access to capital that others don't funny how the c.e.o. knew that but those giving up the money to the survival of working class households is the pending on government response of this not to their prized lobbyist groups favoring wealthy and powerful business and private interests but the responsiveness to everyday american. but economic bailouts thus far have heavily favored everyone but me american people who need it the most important former governor rick scott let the movement to dismantle unemployment benefits for those in need a decade ago republican lawmakers cheered the agenda and danced as unemployment compensation disappeared almost entirely today with florida's economy heavily
2:49 am
dependent on tourism and only 6 percent of unemployment claims paid out the sunshine state is going dark. on top of everything somehow some way pro-wrestling was designated as an essential business things can't get any crazier than me joining us now is legal turn list molly burrows. molly always a pleasure having you know it's interesting you're in florida as well will kind of start with what's going on there florida is estimated to lose about $1000000.00 jobs by june with an unemployment rate of 15.5 percent by july it's needless to say the current system will be unemployed floridians what can the state legislature do to assist residents during this time and will you know will federal assistance bail out the state of florida as it is want to trump labor and. i no longer real question is what can and do you accept to answer angry e-mails and calls and refute the calls for them to step down from office because floridians are angry and
2:50 am
they're definitely seeing the results of some bad decisions like you mentioned. i mean in florida as it stands now is already one of the lowest unemployment benefits there is interesting in that in the nation so it's a bad situation for a lot of poor and now. dire packages they passed a little while ago it has trickled down somewhat you know it's interesting that it was supposed to boost employment benefits federal benefits extended out once a week. and individuals and that and something of a help but you know that whole entire unemployment system that the government or all of that there has to go through for those benefits as a human working properly and so a lot of those that need the money aren't getting that help and the reason for that is because it's gotten change that he made it our number and the number we do those employment benefits lower the amount of money they receive and you know when they want to go out and do so they're not going to benefit from this latest act extended in weeks guess who are you against that former governor now senator guy he said no
2:51 am
that's more than a lot of you are getting are already unemployed. in a discourage them from going back to where i don't think we could have a more out of touch center because this is a state where a lot of people rely on tourism their own why on you know working at restaurants heavy service industry people are hurting and so when they see these decisions being made in an opportunity it's really frustrating so i think in some ways this bailout will help poorer because a lot of our revenues still tax and then bit of it it's going to go to cut down on i mean that and that can help you know our state and it comes to. having the money it needs to address this. but you know the system again was. to distribute several payments again who need it amongst are getting it because of the boredom and as they're working on it presently they are a lot of people are still waiting so there are whole slew of
2:52 am
a shoes that are going on the corner and really i think the rich are the coronavirus shows just all the weaknesses the potential corruption that is really going on and. it's a hot mess situation and molly you mentioned this partially in your your response a moment ago but florida's economy is driven by industries that coping 1000 has affected the most we're talking leisure hospitality retail many of those jobs just going to come back what will for to do to sustain itself. you know they're going to have to address a lot of issues that we already have and they are going to have to take a look at it and we're going to take a look at job and and john training you know you can't rely on people coming down just because the weather is nice because all you can you get out to the beach. and open it again i think that's when things are going to if you're going to. try to open up where they can or you know when you make stations like allowing iraq again . you really make decisions that are all going to benefit or not you can't rely on
2:53 am
it wanting to come down in big. in florida for the milling and all that rely on those jobs anymore we're going to do more. on the range and improve the opportunities for jobs and not just stand out as oh they're always look internally and out they don't want to work. in trouble or any never fraud allegations as well and so you know what about the real opportunities here to do the right thing and then everyone will they do when an hour and shines it's always interesting going here it's like a wild west well you know it's interesting because i think florida is also a microcosm for a lot of issues that are happening that are that are affecting states across this country because of some of the policies that were in place before this this pandemic hit i want to jump you mentioned the you know before the cleared the essential business which look i have a history obviously with the given my father and all that you know but what with
2:54 am
florida facing massive job losses and growing income inequality how can they possibly justify allowing wrestling with no one when you can even as a floridian go and see it and pay money to go see the about what i don't understand on this move at all. a lot of people are asking the question that was up you know i . mentioned you know i just think you need as root or to anything out of orlando and under the mic ban it was former c.e.o. now married to the current c.e.o. of the world wrestling entertainment when i was there was on times ave meaning it's all business to mr. trump's support of israel like to campaign so there's no need to change in anything and we're not betting that those sorts of connections certainly make you know. if you don't ease in the initial business when you have so many people who are hurting out of you know i clinic down on one of my friends or small business owners a lot of them rely on tips to pay their bills and so when they're looking in
2:55 am
singing i like wrestling is about settling entertaining when you have just the interest just aren't. right saying oh my gosh they're thanks to their content that's not very reassuring there are literally starving nerds are there in stark ash stark money to pay their bills you know when are you going to forget about the fact that you're and aren't having to go to school anymore now you have to rely on online learning which is not against it but it's not is that i mean it's not as intensive if you will so far my experience has been there actually if i'm asked is that what they're going to have all that on you know because they're starker you're not going to start they can be turning to distract and so i think it we do think a lot of people seriously we can excuse i think a lot of meat you know i'm i'm down with a lot of worry and think. oh do you want to keep electing a guy like a man or you know former governor now understand action or dollars that we you guys will need backers can use this is an hour and we're going to do it by the way we
2:56 am
want those wrestlers back and as we don't want you floridians radio americans start her car and you know well you know. molly we always love it when you come on your stomach show always a pleasure having you on and you take care of florida and keep up the great work aren't going to know much else too. with the absence of human beings around thanks to stay at home orders and social distancing the world around us appears to finally be breathing a sigh of relief as we've reported not only is the pollution levels dropping but many species were on the brink thanks to human beings are starting to make a comeback including the leatherback sea turtles in point of fact baby leatherback sea turtles on a beach in thailand researchers discovered 11 new leatherback sea turtle nests the largest amount seen there in over 2 decades meanwhile here in the united states once again talking about florida on florida's juno beach an incredible $76.00 leatherback baby sea total mess were discovered with less human traffic and plastic
2:57 am
and garbage that we produce richard to say that the future little ones stand a much better chance of making it out of their nests and to the oceans and hopefully be on the way to go baby sea turtles got a love that on the right. right that is our show for today remember when 'd in this world we're not told that we're loved enough so i tell you all i love you i am tyrone and i will keep on watching all those hawks out there and have a great day and i go see turtle.

when i was childs seemed wrong on one old rule just don't call. me the world is yet to shape our disdain you can stick out to it and engage with equals betrayal. when so many find themselves worlds apart we choose to look for common ground the. as the u.s. economy was booming growing numbers of people were made homeless. you can work 40 hours 'd in a week and still not have enough to get housing everybody believes america still has the lead up to the reality of the we're not financial ecology and the lack of affordable housing for a living minimum wage gave many people no choice you know just been a problem with the city and always turn a machete told me straight away oh miss. the food if there is no answer because yes
