a listen. of stealing. great citizens of this country to a certain extent and to a large extent as warriors. there warriors we can't keep our country close we have to put our country. warriors yes we are all of us we are soldiers and love fight in the great war against. wages who exactly are we fighting or more importantly what exactly are we fighting for are we fighting the virus that threatens us are we fighting for the health and safety of our friends and loved ones well my friends the president answer those questions as well take it away donald i created with a lot of other very talented people and the people of our country the greatest economy in the history of the world the best numbers we've ever had the best markets i think we had 144 days of wreckage stock markets. and then one day they

said we have to close our country and now it's time to open it up. yes my friends america will be opening up soon not for the ideals of liberty and freedom definitely not for safety your health or its own but the greater good of wall street and the one percent and of course mr trump's impending reelection we can't forget that we are fighting for that too bad it's why we are warriors well if you look at how america treats its soldiers and veterans i think the more apt word to use in this new war would be cannon fodder because of the g 8 here writes in the nation the botched pandemic response resembles america's failed wars in vietnam and iraq not just in that the 2 but in terms of been justice as those as with those wars there is no real shared sacrifice that is so very very true you see like always the poor and working class americans the nurses the m.t.a. workers the meat packers they'll face the real wrath of this pandemic while the

a spy you got to be good soldiers and sacrifice a few to the cause but what's the cause of all wall street but wall street only you know only 30 percent or so of americans actually have money in wall street that doesn't represent the whole the economy is not america i know it's a popular thing to say but capitalism isn't what made this country great absolutely and wall street doesn't care about the death toll and you know and we've seen that there is no there's no you know remorse from them as it relates to the thousands of americans who potentially lives are at stake right now and will be if we open up without having the precautions necessary we know that we don't have a vaccine that's probably years out actually we know that we are able to contact trace we're not able to do it effectively and there are many states that are trying to create their own contact tracing teams but even that's going to take a while and it's a long time before we're out of the dark on this but you know you know who is 'd also i would include in the you know. 19 pontificating on who considered

a war criminal your people profit off of the hurt and sorrow of others united airlines announced that they would be cutting 15000 airport staff and baggage handlers hours from 40 to 30 hours a week this comes after the u.s. treasury gave united airlines part of the corona coronavirus aid relief and economic security or carriers always love those names. they gave the airline $5000000000.00 of us tax dollars but now suddenly they're cutting down hours of their staff. and they can get away with it because the conditions for accepting federal support stated that airlines have to retain their staff at the same pay rates but didn't mention how many hours they could work being go and you know the private sector is very shrill when it comes to things like this and they know that they can't let those individuals go because they will be a buy a lation of the terms of the money that they agreed to get however they can reduce these hours and everything is extremely fine there is no penalty associated with

that at all does it hurt the employees absolutely but this is something that we should have seen coming it should have actually been a part of aig there should've been a clause in there that eliminated that being a practice as well because we've seen this time and time again if you tell someone that they can't fire people they won't do it however they will put them in a very stimulus position but we will never see those causes why because of lobbyists and guess who is next on the docket to steal taxpayer money during the covert pandemic leaf airing of the intercept is now reporting that here on k. street in washington d.c. lobbyists have stepped up a campaign to make sure professional influence peddlers are eligible for taxpayer funds the push also includes a demand for an additional $25000000000.00 for canceled events and other laws revenue from the coronavirus camp pandemic yes my friends now lobbyists want our tax dollars the same ones that they steal from us for whoever's paying them i mean it's just getting a dig we have to bail out lobby. no i love the term professional influence peddler

in that is that the what they are doing a lobbyist will always find a way to crawl from under some rock and take money it doesn't matter what situation it is they will find that way they have been part and parcel of creating a lot of the legislation that has hurt people civically those in times of trouble specifically those when it came to trying to get money to you know get affordable housing and things like that lobbyists have not been the friends of the american public who are an extremely long time and right now they found just another way where they end up with money in their pockets while everyone else is struggling and so the great great great let's bail them out today they're not able to you know influence washington to have those big luxurious parties where they can whine and died and say hey vote for this bill because it helps all of this small little sector of the population i'll leave it with this just to get your reaction to this according to the washington post caterpillar stanley black and decker pretty household names levi strauss the jeans maker office furniture company steelcase and yes the world wrestling entertainment have paid out

a combined 700000000 in cash dividends to shareholders while at the same time shattering operations and laying off employees during this covert 19 pandemic that says a lot that they're paying off shareholders we've been laying people will. follow the money. people are eager to go back to normal whatever that is 19 drastically changed the way we do business and manage our daily lives everything from church and shopping to school and the way we work has been up ended and not everyone is happy for weeks now parents have been pseudo homeschooling their kids as primary secondary and collegiate schools are shut down though they are doing their level best the stress of being a working parent and a 1000000000 teacher is taking its course remote learning was supposed to be the answer but it's wrought with problems like steve schmidt in a classroom engagement can be my. teachers can adjust and bring flair and

excitement to the coursework student learning styles can be adapted to but those far remote learners haven't seen these types of opportunities through learning the other big issue is one of access low income and minority students tend to fare worse in remote learning environments these students don't have a hard time because of education with pension deficiencies but because of barriers like a lack of personal computer wife by yes in 2020 the digital divide is widening the push to get kids back in the classroom is being led by districts across america with educators fearful that more time out who was all in a brain drain and students falling behind but not everyone is suffering from the pandemic changes in fact more employers are considering making permanent work from home positions yeah it's a covert 94 c.e.o. to learn that folks can be productive without sitting in a traditional office space or being micro-managed shocker. nationwide the insurance

giant recently announced a work model allowing the majority of their locations to continue working from home this move also saves businesses and corporations big bucks as they pull out of rural contracts and say goodbye to high rise buildings the move will spell trouble for commercial real estate but flexibility savings and transportation costs and more peace of mind for workers this is one of the most interesting kind of contrasts to come out of what we've been dealing with over the last few months is a. big businesses are realizing that like you said brilliantly the people can work from home and they can be productive in their work just as hard as whether they're in a cubicle or kitchen kitchen counter. but then also see the contrast of them education falling off you know that the remote learning is just failing miserably where you know what you know what is it about the current design of remote learning groups that's not working with the experience was with a few things the current design of remote learning didn't take into consideration to. the largest groups of students one being those students who have special needs

and special education coursework those students are going to require a lot more on the on the front end when it comes to different adaptations for their learning be it whether they are whether they have more more teachers more information available to them how many times a day are they possibly logging in are they getting the are they getting the appropriate types of instructional materials things like that in addition to education as a 2nd language learners those learners for the most part many districts were already having some issues in the classroom themselves because you didn't have enough teachers to facilitate what was facilitate things that would meet their needs that's also not happening online in addition to that there is no way of monitoring how long these students are spending on any given assignment or online and the parents themselves aren't necessarily trained in monitoring or being able to answer several of the questions you and i talked about this earlier specifically when it comes to math and common core neither one of us were doing common core math

. and a recent study showed that even harvard graduates cannot do common core math these are some of the most brilliant students and brilliant minds in the country they can't figure it out either so the expectation that a parent who is a working parent is also able to sit down and do this with their children when it wasn't something they functionally did at all or had to do is also causing it i could imagine. that you brought to the digital divide the you know we a lot of people take for granted that everyone has access to the internet but the digital divide is a major important piece of why what's the trouble with remote learning and why it's not quite working right now exactly and it was hers across rule and urban areas so we take into consideration those who are from low income households but in addition to that a lot of students who are minority students and students who live in areas that just did not have access to internet or don't have a laptop at home i think that because we're in the era of 2020 and because so many people have social media. have social media at the moment there is

cases outright get out right attacked her or marginalized her for making them in the 1st place but on monday of this week i on a presley the massachusetts democrat are currently elected to the u.s. house of representatives penned a blog post on medium declaring quote we are in the throes of an election of the greatest consequence i reject the false choice that my party and our nominee can't address the allegations at hand and defeat the occupant of the white house the 2nd story that has not seen its fair share of proper coverage an in-depth analysis has clearly been the rise of nationwide protests calling for rent strikes and mortgage relief started just before april and they mal again considerable stream as we head into the middle of may and into june both these stories deserve time in the news media spotlight because both will have an effect on your foreseeable future one concerns your home the other your next potential potential president but since these stories deal with dark and uncomfortable truths about the american experience most professional journalists and commentators only the only touch them with the

but the democratic party doesn't want to do that and they have gone so far as to even push journalists at the outlet outlets like the new york times to change parts of the stories that they publish about that now they're shaming chris hughes and saying that he should be fired for even reporting on this issue and the media is complicit in covering it up in shaming terror reid and making her the problem and it basically saying ok we need to but 1 not if it's about our guy joe biden and that's not that's next of just great and disgusting hypocrisy. and sean this one's for you do you think will be thing more democratic party members like a ana presently essentially break ranks and call out the hypocrisy they're saying in their own party treatment of revalidation. well i don't

doubt that we may see some i mean i think the main stream of democratic party are at a point where the allegations are so pitched now and there's so much energy and attention to them that they can't really ignore them so i don't want to steal that we'll see you know like books chorus kind of pushback or you're out of joe biden i do think we'll perhaps see some student what chris lee did but i i mean as an institution they basically care to afford to continue to ignore the state particularly since you know joe biden only recently on. personally i deny these allegations so we've only recently heard from him personally about it and particularly as someone who has basically guaranteed that his vice presidential pick one you know the kind of area specter of

a pot receiver around at all i think we call for too strong for the establishment leadership to break that's going to be interesting to see how this moves on but i want to move over to the run strikes too and talk with you guys about the biggest question is are they working and will they continue into june will see them in april we've seen or may sean what are your thoughts on the run strikes and are they working. well i mean the fact of the matter is you were talking earlier about how the country is opening back up to like the fact that the people just country don't have basic protections so what's happening is the economic burden or grown up by risk has been shifted to. look for working people with code to the people who are now took you seriously workers if we don't. we go or and muster the stacks i was willing to put millions of people in danger of sickness and death but it turns out the great strikes and efforts like

cancer the red stuff were it's a recognition that tens of millions of people each task into unemployment and housing insecurity with people can't work. and so that's why we're seeing organizing on a number of different levels i mean over 40000000 households are riches in this country and over a 3rd of people in this country could meet them. and so there's a couple of hours continues to intensify and the economic impact becomes greater and greater i think when we see you can organize and become stronger and stronger. and jackie what do you feel is the biggest misunderstanding or misrepresentation of the strikes in the media coverage we've seen so far. well the biggest misunderstanding is always what demands from the people that will alleviate the people's crises and needs is mis characterized as socialism as if you know socialism is

a terrible thing you know we have countries like venezuela and cuba and to some extent in iran and in other countries even germany canada other countries that are providing the monthly relief that their citizens need in the form of money so they can pay their rents or in the case of venezuela nicolas maduro is just saying ok glenn ford you're not going to get any rent for 6 months i'll make sure the government will make sure that the landlords get paid their money we're not going to a force renters to pay for 6 months and we're going to make sure that businesses remain solvent and people are able to eat because we're going to provide for all of their resource needs during this shutdown and this is happening in other countries all across the world that are not necessarily quote unquote socialist countries like i said candidate canada and germany but they recognize the need to take care of the needs of their people in the midst of an emergency that no one. really was

well prepared for because they just ignored what was going on in china but the misunderstanding is that this is somehow un-american but if our house to to sion the bill of rights says that this government is supposed to provide for the common defense and promote the general welfare then at what point is not making it work for with making sure that instances of this country can't pay their rent can't eat can't pay their bills while being addicted and won't have their services and little of a natural disaster how is that not a mode in the general welfare how is that not providing. that's so making these demands it's crazy malice and it's you know america in marrying him and to destroy america is the very thing that is born to continue to
