some banks is likely to she says she's perhaps not. yes sure. hello there i'm an arch area watching in question right after party america's national headquarters in washington d.c. i want to welcome our viewers from across our they head and all around the world got a lot to cover tonight so let's get started. right breaking news to get to this hour coming out of the middle east where the palestinian president mahmoud abbas just said that palestine is officially withdrawing from all agreements with israel and the u.s.
8:01 pm
so joining us now from tel aviv are very our policy where she's got more on this major development power what else can you tell us. where u.s. military medic statements coming from palestinian president mahmoud abbas he says that israel will no longer abide by security arrangements for woods and so users of the palestinian authority will no longer buy security arrangements with israel now until now the palestinian authority security officials and israeli soldiers coordinate all security operations in the west bank so that is being suspended with immediate effect at the same time as it is breaking off or ties with the united states now he says that he holds the united states fully responsible for all injustices towards the palestinian people and that the united states is a key partner in israel's actions against the rights of the palestinians so in that respect he says that the palestinian authority is cutting off all its ties with the united states as well now this is coming in response to commands the side to annex

its territories in the west bank this is part of the american president on our terms deal of the century it has the backing of the americans and we are hearing from the israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu that he could go ahead with as an exception any time from july the 1st so so be dramatic statements coming from the palestinian president we're expecting him to spawn and i think some people will be quite a can of just how forceful and how strong those comments are. wow polly this is absolutely shocking news after the so-called like you said deal of the century is there anything else we should be watching is there any movement still happening that you'll be paying attention to. well the israeli government really excited is going to be in a hurry to try and if there's an exchange deal passed there's a lot of discussion some call just saying and want to not do it immediately at the comes we need a government which is a right wing government the american president donald trump not with. joe biden i
8:03 pm
mean it was really stated that he would be opposed to any kind of unilateral shutting station on the israeli side so while the palestinians will continue. on the government's orange pull should. at least while just stunning i am at a loss for words so the whole world is hindering on what will happen then in the november elections policy where live for us in tel aviv thank you so much. and some more breaking news to get to this one developing right here in the u.s. the johnson and johnson company announced it will stop selling its talcum based baby powder here in the u.s. and canada that's the same product involved in thousands of lawsuits alleging links to ovarian cancer and costing the company millions of dollars however in a written statement j.n.j. said the reason for today's decision is quote due in large part to changes in consumer habits and fueled by misinformation around the safety of the product and

a constant barrage of litigation advertising. all right you may already be familiar with a video making its rounds on social media in which we see an unarmed black man being gunned down by 2 white men a father and a son to be exact in georgia now that shooting death happened back in february but it has only serviced in the last few weeks up until that point the 2. men never had any charges brought against them but now. just ahead we should. write their new videos. are circulating videos ranging from him looking around a construction site to 2017 that video you just saw the confrontation with police in a park now even the daughter slash sister of the mcmichaels is getting heat for posting some graphic images of this deadly altercation to her social media account so here
8:05 pm
to discuss this very hot topic watching the hawks host tyrrel ventura and a mature crosser here are right folks 1st this original video that made a modern household name was actually released by one of the men accused in his death greg mcmichael he's the dad of the other man charged in the mosques killing the senior mcmichael actually gave it to local television in georgia for some reason i guess he thought somehow this would clear his name i guess amongst his neighbors or something but now given that story from mr macmichael why does it seem like there are 2 lenses on how to view this footage i mean it's kind of like a rorschach test on society right some view this as our very running away from the scene of a crime you know is this criminal others view this as 2 white men hunting down a black man so is this a rorschach test for our society today it absolutely is the thing that america has also viewed cases of race relations through 2 very different lenses the black

community the civil rights community and i would probably say concerned whites as well see this for what it is a case of someone be basically confronted because of the color of their skin automatically considered guilty because of the color of their skin and then they're on the other side there are people who are and have been reaching for justifications of this from the beginning there are people who are saying well you didn't see everything that everything that occurred this video doesn't start which should have maybe he instigated this in some way he got shot. because he was tough going with the gun owner there are so many things here that i think that you know there are people from the other side who feel like they can justify it but these are the same people who find justifications in every incident of violence against african-americans no no and the most most times when you see you know violence against african-americans whether it's coming from a white police officer or a white citizen now you're running around with guns and things like that try to make a citizen's arrest they will always find justification and the lenses which we see things in society yeah there's always going to be one side says this one side says
8:07 pm
we can't sit and say like you know videos are the be all end all because as we know video is even nowadays can be manipulated to such a degree that you can't really say that so you always got to go back to what do you know best about side what i see here is 2 people attacking this young man and anyone who says otherwise is absolutely insane because at the end of the day they're holding the guns that man only had a specific whether he instigated which i don't believe he did but even if he did he's still going up against 2 armed individuals doesn't balance out right no matter what he may have done leading up to that altar cation with the mcmichaels no matter his past i don't care if you're that altar cations with the cops or not he may not be a boy scout doesn't matter it's all moot right because we do not have the right to kill one another as just human beings forget americans just human beings we don't have that right but the mcmichaels you brought this up. brought up the fact that there was a spate of robberies in their neighborhood so they're acting on this you know i
8:08 pm
guess this citizen's arrest they're invoking these crazy laws that are in a lot of books all across the country do you think we need to re-evaluate those laws because do they give some people the sense of entitlement to go out there and play cop well i think the laws even that we need to revalue really need to re-evaluate where we stand as a society within regards to race and because you see these laws only seem to come up when it's a you know a white person trying to get away with just cold blooded lee killing a black. you know that's usually when you see suddenly it's like a citizen's arrest or stand your ground or whatever it is you don't see these laws brought up when the situation is reversed you don't see it happen often where there was water killed the start of the ground as well you know so i think the what we need to reevaluate is not just the laws but we need to real value way where we stand as a society we're that arguments made in the 1st place were even need to have that law what we should do is any reasonably functioning society will what creates a culture that says that mcmichaels even have a leg to stand on or what creates
8:09 pm
a culture that says that these 2 men need to even go out and do that in the 1st place that's what we need to look at even more so than the laws we have before you chime in i want to play a sound bite of the lawyers for the mcmichaels. all too often african-americans get justice. and that is not just a moral and improper any legal that is not justice. or obviously i misspoke that is for that are very family so what's your take on all of that then i mean. i agree with my co-host here but i do think that there is something to be said about the laws themselves because we have to understand that these laws haven't always been on the books in the majority of cases and states they've been there for the past 3035 years and the issue with that is that these laws were created so that they could have loopholes for those people who do go out and hunt african-american individuals literally that was the intent behind them because it in many cases gives them a level of cover and we've seen them be able to use it to get off we haven't seen
8:10 pm
where seem to ground should actually make sense in cases where there are women who are fighting domestic abuse and domestic violence we've seen those women actually get locked up in great britain they are not given that same stand your ground protections it is literally use most often in people get off in these cases where there is our modern day lynching these citizens laws or what have you just that's another argument would be doing to re-evaluate guns but that's a different topic altogether that i don't have the time for but while we're talking about this case we have seen numerous cases of cop shootings of unarmed black men especially in the last couple of years the last 5 years or so even little kids like 10 year rice with a toy gun no words right just pull up and shoot. but this time it was civilian on civilian do you think that makes any difference to the black community because it's a civilian thing i think that it definitely makes a difference but it's also seen in the same vein because the same ideology that makes an officer go out automatically assume guilt and criminality among an
8:11 pm
african-american individual is the exact same thought process that goes into what it is that if it is a regular citizen i think that the paradigm that we're looking through is an america that has for the longest equated skin color with being lesser than being not deserving of rights being not deserving of protections being someone who is seen as always an aggressor and that's we're also seeing that across social media when there are these arguments around why why this death actually happened right in the super predator right i mean we've seen that argument made a 1000 times as you know white society in the u.s. you know they always love to demonize somebody whether it was a japanese during world war 2 you know you could easily have just to demonize the germans during that time but we didn't put any germans in concentration camps or you know but we did to the japanese you see that you know we always want to find some kind of racial scapegoat or someone even beat up on our problems in society today i think this is an extension of that i can't speak for the black community and how they feel about that but i can speak to the prejudices that i see every day and this is one of the major ones the race issues in this country didn't go away
8:12 pm
just because of barack obama was elected you know it may have been kind of pushed aside a lot of people thought ok we're done but clearly we're not as you mentioned with all the killings we see it's institutionalized racism that we're actually fighting in this country that we're trying to roll back but i do think that younger generations i do have hope that i think that we will see these things rolled back over time you know future generations maybe even you know. you might see a lessening of the racial divisions in this country that are like i'm sorry they're not started by blacks and brown skinned people they're started by white people at the end of the day that's where the divisions come in and that's where the answers are going to have to be made to solve this at least nowadays we have. video at least there's maybe a chance for justice and the younger generation there's always hope for them right so we will see ameesha across the entire world enter always appreciate your takes thank you thank you. other news making headlines from across the nation take
