to moscow has brought a new turn crucially their findings cause doubt over a key piece of evidence believe it or not a bottle of water that is thought to contain traces of not the child and which apparently led them to the conclusion that if any how do you think poisoned by the nerve agent this was a much talked about bottle in the media and it was initially thought that had been smuggled in by one of his companions a certain marine up check this is something that she herself claimed in an interview but russian authorities say that that is not in fact true let's hear from them during the preflight security check of maria. novosibirsk there was no containers of more than $100.00 milliliters in volume in her suitcase and backpack including any bottles of water after the check maria paved cheek purchased $500.00 milliliter bottle of water from an aside vending machine with which she flew to the city of now this seriously challenges the claims made by members of the anti

corruption fund set up by now found who say that as soon as they found out she'd been hospitalized they were turned to the hotel room in which you've been staying and raided it for anything suspicious in fact they posted a video on instagram showing them apparently locating this bottle of water up with not the chalk though many have since questions how it's possible they were able to so casually handle an object with a deadly nerve agent another revelation from the russian investigation concerns the airport which plane made an emergency landing this is in siberia now the pilot says he put in a request for an emergency landing at 8 25 in the morning and 5 minutes later received a message warning of a potential bomb scare this for a short period trip that some one. rhes about whether they would in fact be able to land the plane now this is what russian authorities had to say on that given the appearance in the media of a bomb hoax at the airport to prevent the emergency landing of the plane carrying around the investigators working as additional versions of what happened it has

been found that the anonymous message was sent through a server located on the territory of germany germany of course has featured heavily in the new story just a quick reminder it was to a bulletin clinic that if it was later sent and further treated it was also in a german report tree that allegedly there's traces of chalk in a filing system found in the meantime moscow continues to ask for thought the information to aid its investigation into that and has sent around 6 requests to germany france and sweden all these developments come as the diplomatic fallout from the story wasn't only on wednesday we heard that germany and france were plotting all proposing new additional sanctions on russia they encourage the european community to join in but that will be formally discussed next week russia has responded by saying that such language is just not conducive to international cooperation which is something that it said that it's wanted from the very beginning it also added that no matter what happens from now it will simply not be

possible to return to business as usual. mr unfortunately instead of working together to establish the truth of the facts of what happened to the russian citizens paris and berlin have preferred to politicize the case turned to france and blackmailed the use of international platforms we consider this behavior irresponsible and unacceptable so a lot of new information coming in raising some serious questions including in fact whether in fact marina even what corruption fund there has been some dispute about that so it's all really quite modeled and will certainly wait to see how it all plays out. to russian journalists have been injured after a cathedral was shelled and they're going to care about greater according to the armenian foreign ministry it comes as the raging territory. real conflict between azerbaijan and armenia is taking its toll on civilians caught in the middle fighting as been intensifying both sides have released their latest combat footage regional officials say half of nagorno-karabakh residents have now fled the

there is a necessity i agree to go to from like by myself i do just sacrifice myself for my land in the heart of the state vice president and all of them help it is better to return to your homeland it has been almost 30 years i still see the image of my land in front of my eyes i see my house and the use of our beloved martyrs it was suffering to call me here i personally right at that time my parents were no longer alive and there were 6 of us brothers and sisters. this is this is how we rise here in length seen 123. we had quite a good reason conditions but most that in our days i faced challenges leaving here to. look at more lead and conditions my heart is breaking when i see what is going on at the front lines but i am waiting to see our lengthy often quite unexpected narrow houses to be revealed and the last resort of one of the turning that is what i am waiting for from this process of care about nothing more just our act.

i am grateful to all presidents i wish old soul to strive to liberate our lads were longing for this is that did yes i was the largest provider just as banksias age but i'm still in his dormitory all my life an innocent grandson and 7 army my only desire is to go to the village itself may call my job. shouldn't. but it has become the latest major european city to see a return of some lock down measures for after it recorded one of its biggest davey covert spikes since the pandemic began peter all of the reports next from the german capital. strict corrode of virus measures are coming. to berlin from the south today until at least the end of the month old restaurants local shops or any other business that would be open late at night will have to shut their doors at 11 pm until 6 in the morning. code cases are rising in germany at the fastest pace
2:12 pm
since made april as europe struggles with a new wave of infection the health minister says the new rules and needed because people and not taking the virus seriously. it isn't surprising with a lack of rules it is more a question of where certain rules are enforced and i think there is room for improvement in our beautiful capital city the chancellor has warned 'd that with winter on the way things may be about to get tough young figured out is that i think we do him some good points we learned a lot and did well throughout the summer but we know that one difficult times are ahead of us namely in the autumn and winter months and we see a gradual increase especially in densely populated areas we have a no this rise in the numbers of infections this is of course a reason to be concerned but we also know how to position ourselves at all or did so sit in the edges but there is

a small but dedicated group of germans that don't agree with the chancellor and being out on the streets to vent their upset at corona restrictions. was. was of a parts of germany a keeping a close eye on the infection rate in berlin and on cane on visitors from the capital spreading the virus to them i fear that berlin is on the edge of losing control we definitely don't want to have a situation like in madrid we don't want a situation like in paris where there has to be a complete lockdown where public life has to be reset to 0 elsewhere in europe brussels has announced bars and restaurants will close as the belgian capital is riddled with corona $27.00 people tested in brussels returns a positive result the virus is everywhere in the region there is not
2:14 pm
a single municipality in brussels which is below the national average where restrictions put in place there's also pushback from some sections of society from conspiracy theorists who think the virus is a hoax for those terrified that the measures to stay. that spirit will cost them their jobs. while braces for what may well be a wind wave of covert germany as a whole remains one of only 4 european nations knocked described by the european center for disease prevention and control as being at a crucial rate of infection for now at least peter all of the it.
2:15 pm
fate of the next u.s. presidential debate hangs in the balance donald trump refusing to take pass after it was announced that his bout with biden would be held remotely it's after the president called covert last week and spent 4 days in the hospital the debate had been due to take place in miami on october the 15th here's how trump explained his decision in an interview to his go to t.v. network you say you're not going to participate you know i'm not going to waste my time in a virtual debate that's not what debating is all about you sit behind a computer and do a debate is ridiculous and then they cut you off whenever they want and while that may not be a 2nd presidential debate the 1st and only vice presidential encounter was held on wednesday evening on the harrison mike pence spot for 90 minutes don of course went over the highlights with kevin i would. it was a big change of pace from the presidential debates from last week which looked more like a political circus than anything but this time around there were less aggressive interruptions no doubt both candidates even seemed like they were showing each other a little respect at times but when it came to what what exactly they were debating
2:16 pm
a lot of it amounted to just attacking or defending the actions of the current administration from the very 1st day president donald trump has put the health of america 1st whatever the vice president is claiming the administration has done clearly it hasn't worked if the trump administration approves the vaccine before or after the election should americans take it and would you take it if donald trump tells us i said to him that we should take it on not taking the fact that you continue to undermine public confidence in a vaccine if the vaccine emerges during the trump administration i think is is unconscionable both presidential contenders pretty getting on in years and the worry is what if something happens to them has to be continuity in that one of the top jobs in the world the top job in the world business and so a lot of focus on the vice presidents and how they might cope if they had to step into the big oops yeah absolutely kevin in fact no matter who wins this election biden or trump they will become the oldest person to be elected u.s.
2:17 pm
president in american history and so this debate that we saw was in a way between 2 potential future heads of state in the u.s. but when the moderator posed this question the possibility of a presidential disability depends he just moved in the direction to talk about the corona virus vaccine and then the question was posed to kemal heiress and she started talking about how proud her mom was of her so we didn't really get a clear answer on that sort of policy that wasn't made clear you know the rhetoric was this heated as it was before but still not totally clear with these who were both but there was a gay crush to neither candidate really gave us much to work with there weren't even as many insults as in the presidential debate as we saw also a lot in social a lot of people on social media are saying that a 3rd party one fly on my pants has had.
2:18 pm
i've also managed to find at least something to smile about it in the debates others are more concerned about where the election will lead the united states a few new polls are out highlighting growing fears more than half of respondents say they expect violence to increase as a result of november's election people expect to see riots looting in cities in flames at the same time just under 2 thirds fear the country could be on the verge of civil war discussing it with us next the director of the wrong paul institute for peace and prosperity daniel mcadams also the libertarian party national committee executive director wes benedict and daniel schorr professor of latin american and caribbean studies at the city university of new york gentlemen welcome to the program it seems that post-election doomed being predicted whoever comes out
2:19 pm
on top next month daniel mcadams are they correct is i was going to happen i don't know if i would force the year civil war i could certainly course the some additional civil war which the wild civil war wrote over the past few months violence in the street i don't look at the level of civil war however you do have the stakes being very very high will already of course warrant one which is part of the problem the part of the problem you're part of this is that there is so much to give away and the old guard really used to work to fight their battles but it is more violence ahead or is it just 2020 talking. mostly is 2020 talking there may be some instances of violence but if there is violence it's mostly going to be going to be between pulls on the left and pools on the right because when you look at the actual policies of the republicans and democrats once they're elected and serve in office the actual policies are almost the same they're not really these extremists
2:20 pm
that the media and at the parties like to make each other out to be professors so we've talked before about the violence in america yet whatever happens in the election do you think there will be more. the violence is already here or ask immigrant america and ask black america ask poor americans as the 50000000 plus people who are out of work ask the victims and survivors of the 'd 70 fascist attacks on the black matter movement so the systematic balances are our daily diet across this country already regardless really of who who wins but certainly a trend big 3 puts fascism away supremacy in the driver's seat again for years what's benedictine about who wins then if there is likely to still be any bubbling trouble whether it gets worse already better even though people don't like to feel that they are influenced they put a healthy skepticism for their politicians it does come from the top down and
2:21 pm
that's been fighting talk on both sides i think that that's going to filter down to the net through the national psyche isn't it. well certainly politicians drumming up fear and hate of each other causes people to get scared and in sometimes it incites people to violence but again if you look at the actual policies a lot of the violence in america and a lot of the problems in america are 2 to policies that republicans and democrats support the war on drugs is a big example and the reason that blacks in america are in close incarcerated at such a high rate the reason that the police have so many opportunities opportunities to be in conflict with members of society and particularly african-americans is because of the war on drugs in america and that's something that both republicans and democrats have supported they are softening up on that issue and i think a lot of it's because libertarians even if we're not winning elections we keep
2:22 pm
reminding republicans and democrats hate you are hurting big parts of america with your policies but that's neither or neither trump nor biden has promised to end the war on drugs whereas the libertarian who i support joe jorgensen would end it on day one and done in mcadam's give even if the aid to it isn't used the hate the coals for action from disgruntled groups allowed the coals for calm and that it's a juggle that's already been rolling through 2020. well we know it's a strange year you know we've had the country shut down for the past 6 months we've had people who are marginalized economic have the opportunity to work from home like the elites you like the oligarchs who like the white collar workers do they have found themselves bearing the brunt of the lockdown policies of the elites in the country and that it's forced people poor desperation of course or cry it's you have people taking advantage of the sort of social and political economic
2:23 pm
dislocation of a mass groups in the united states so you have the kindling for unrest the question is will the mets be let in will the mass be led by who and who will pour gasoline on the fire. professor sure every group in america whether it's split between race lines as nic lines economic lines whichever it is each group feels that they've got a problem with whoever is in charge and whoever wins what difference will it make come november the 4th even if there is a result that time. well america is indeed as divided stratified and polarized 'd as ever it appears that trump has no intention of relinquishing power of course he wants to win in the outdated. the inheritance of slave institutions of 17 i.e.d. 7 he wants to buy into the electoral college is plan b. is to use the supreme court if he can get amy called me buried on there in the next few weeks in plan c. d. e. and f.
2:24 pm
is to call upon his shock troops on boogaloo and proud wars and whatever fascist elements we saw our earlier today the headline that there was an attempt in michigan that was planning to kidnap the governor so these right wing violent elements are certainly ready at the beck and call of trump to fly into action in large segments of the population very worried about. what's better than polls on exactly based on a massive number of people it's barely a 1000 each time somebody from a political party no doubt you do research yourself does it tally with the things that you find. well i if you're looking at the number of people polled i think a lot of people would respond in a way that you know to answer the question yes still be more violence. just because over half the people say they might expect more violence doesn't mean that actual violence will 'd will happen i have been watching elections for years and years and
2:25 pm
every time a president's up for election the people in the media say this is the most important election of our lifetimes and if you don't vote for this bad republican or this bad democrat the world's going to come to the end we're going to have violence in the streets so i think it's overblown in reality most americans don't want violence and they won't put up for it they won't put up with it for very long whether it's something instigated from the right or the left and you know of course as a libertarian i wish we did dr policy where the government had a lot less power so it wouldn't really matter much who won the presidency down in mcadam's a lot of these surveys seem to hover around the 50 percent mark even if you take in the margin of error in some of them as well does that make it more difficult to read what people are really thinking. when you do have the phenomenon in the us now people being reluctant to answer polling questions that if there are. others the sense of feeling of stigma for supporting from so it may well be undercounted
2:26 pm
remember the polls were massively wrong in 2016 i think the new york times gave hillary clinton a 187 percent chance of winning and guess what she did and so the polls are notoriously wrong they're coming up short you can basically get anything you want out of all of you if you were the question correctly so holds very wrong they have been in the past are probably wrong to an extent here it's difficult to know. just a final couple of minutes i want to get your thoughts on donald trump refusing to tie policy in the next debate he has been treated for kovan he doesn't want to do it. but looking with the benefit of hindsight if you would mind gentlemen that impressive show 1st of all would this have happened anyway would have been the state now is it 4 years of trump would it have happened anyway. well certainly on a trump is downplayed this pandemic we have now more than 7000000 people in this country who have been infected with code 210000 deaths plus and never mind those that have any of them in reported to
2:27 pm
a co-morbidities. in trump is not taking this seriously he's prioritized other things such as the uncertain in of venezuela in an unspoken war on the venezuelan people blockade of other countries an all out new cold war against china in the ongoing russia folia that we hear especially from the liberal media so the coronavirus has not been his priority i mean how is he showing up at the white house as if today was a normal day imagine if one of us showed up at the studio or at our jobs when he was still contagious with kobe trying to downplay it that signals the wrong things to the rest of the country i mean he's barely even in advocating for masks of what benedict felt or america's fight for godless. well 'd i think coronavirus is natural and republicans or democrats whoever was in charge neither could have done much different and we'd probably see the same in fact even if libertarians were in charge of the government not even libertarians could stop the corona virus from
2:28 pm
spreading. it's i think it's unfair to blame either party for it now if we did have a much smaller government in america you'd have more innovation you'd have quicker medical responses from the private industry you'd have schools and communities that could set up their own policies and we'd see hey does this work better here or does this policy work better there but democrats and republicans largely govern the same they both support medicare a big medical industrial complex with big insurance in charge of everything and so regardless of who would have been in control we'd have got the same results and i would use a dynamic out of. well i certainly agree with the professor the president ford that's been following any of cardboard policy to a large degree and that's been a real disappointment for some of us in this lower these last 3 years however when you look at this disease covered 19 the infection faith how would you rate it's
2:29 pm
about on par with the flu it has a 99.9 percent survival rate except for some very specific categories of people so there has been a politicization of a medical problem in the united states and a lot of the same people that were using russia gate who tried to overturn the 2016 elections long gone to the idea of using this code as a political weapon against president rob and that's what they have done and that's the politicization of the virus and it's ironic that the democrats blame trump for not taking it seriously enough but at the same time they blame trump for messing up the economy when he tried to shut things down so you really you can't win when you politicize that situation like that gentleman was benedix professor daniel schorr understanding what happens thanks for sharing your thoughts with us i'll say this that they got thanks. are going to stay on the impact of the pentagon action up next divided america the people's fight on artie.
2:30 pm
