11:01 pm
wildfires ravaging the west hurricanes pounding the east election that is distracting all of us everywhere pandemic pelting the middle america and all of that stuff is just here there's a whole world of woe out there things we should be paying attention to let's talk about it with john siddle leidy's geo political strategist truly trilogy advisers john is a diplomacy consultant to the apartment of state glad to have you back john china is always looming large. and our relationship is fraught while every nation is
11:02 pm
staggering to recover from the cove ahead chinese g.d.p. is actually growing and that's conspicuous that they attribute that to their early aggressive response to cove it is the usa disadvantaged accordingly. holland 1st of all it's good to be back with you and your audience i'm so glad we're starting with this very important question because this is in many ways about what the future of the global order will look like and a lot of this is predicated on how china and frankly the chinese communist party was able to exploit its authoritarian authoritarian system and is arguably ruthless approach to just respecting the individual liberties of its citizens so yes it was able to lock down who had right away when they 1st got a sense of just how easily the virus which transmit and it came down to authorities
11:03 pm
even locking people into their apartments in keeping extreme lockdown measures for up to 7 weeks if not longer in certain parts of the area so when you have an authoritarian system holland yes it helps you beat back the transmission of the virus the problem for the world is that while this is happening in china the chinese government was encouraging the world health organization to continue to encourage airlines to fly chinese citizens around the world incessantly infecting societies around the world and given this now a global pandemic that should have been avoided if the chinese communist party either hadn't acted so in competently in dealing with the virus or in such a malign way as to potentially deliberately infect other economy so that it alone would not suffer such a grievous g.d.p. drop in the 2nd quarter but i do want to know what hollande got so that this is a very uneven recovery in china and so the corporate elite and the major larger
11:04 pm
state owned enterprises are doing quite well in 3 coastal regions in beijing and shanghai having gone down but if you look at other parts of the country especially now for mongolia into bed and in changing this still very uneven recovery those parts of china a lagging behind and the chinese media reports what the communist party instructs it to so we have no independent verification of any of the economic data coming out of china. that's a great point we only know what they let us know and even that the early footage of the covert crackdown that leaked out it did look like the opposite of a trump around the the crackdown was pretty brutal jon there is continuing tension over disputed claims on the south china sea we keep seeing aerial footage of the runway on that island which countries are on whose sides in this dispute and how is what's happening there going to impact us here at home. while china
11:05 pm
is absolutely isolated on this both in the region and almost around the world except for countries such as pakistan and venezuela that are so utterly dependent economically on china for china's neighbors and we're talking here about vietnam singapore malaysia borneo taiwan the philippines all of these countries have exclusive economic zone rights in the south china sea so that they can potentially extract oil and natural gas and maybe 10 to 15 percent of the world's fossil fuel reserves are found in the sea but it's of the south china sea you also have vast natural fisheries they're going to be able to feed increasingly affluent societies with high protein diets but from a global trading perspective this is maybe one of the most important waterways of the world essentially a maritime superhighway and about one 3rd of the world's commerce traverses the
11:06 pm
south china sea every year connecting markets in asia and india goes a china japan south korea and taiwan through the south china sea for energy from the middle east and ultimately for consumer markets in europe and china salami sliced tactics over the last 15 years 1st saying that they have some defensive concerns in the south china sea then the same for president obama they'd be no militarization of these. artificial islands the chinese have built that militarizing those islands and now firing missiles into the air well we have very important consequences we're concerned with here how and because this is 1400000 square miles of international border ways in international airspace and the chinese are essentially claiming this as the sovereign chinese lake so it's very dangerous for the global trading system it's very harmful to china's neighbors i threw out east asia and into south east asia region but also i think in terms of an international press it in if china is able to essentially subsumed the south china
11:07 pm
sea and make it sovereign chinese territory there's no stopping other countries that have the power to exercise reach you know military muscle to start claiming international borders and international airspace as their own and then there's no global order you're right it sets a precedent we're speaking with geo political strategist john said ladies trilogy advisers deadline mideast with a flourish that seemed to evoke the carter era group hug with begun and sadat trump is trumpeting to peace deals which countries that weren't actually at war with each other have concluded neither of which border israel whereupon matt brooks who is executive director of a group called the republican jewish coalition pronounced trump a peacemaker and the statesman saying he has done something which successive administrations before him have been unable to do on
11:08 pm
a grand and historical level and while former obama senior strategist david axelrod shrugs even for older jewish voters in florida i suspect the u.a.e. and bahrain were not foremost on their radar screen when it comes to middle east peace john applause for peace but beneath the symbolism what is the substance of these deals. the substance is very significant here holly and 1st of all credit is due to presidents carter and to president clinton for their respective deal making bringing israel into diplomatic relations with egypt and with jordan respectively but what we have here is far deeper and yes the united arab emirates and baccarin are now technically at war today with israel but they have backed the arab coalitions that attacked invaded israel and prior decades and they have been part of these embargoes that have been very very damaging to the israeli economy over the decades as well but i think on
11:09 pm
a substantive level what you have here is not simply diplomatic relations but a comprehensive normalization of relations beyond egypt in jordan have enjoyed with israel in the last several decades so that these 2 countries intend to engage in significant economic trade in exchanges investment in posts and also 'd countries that is technology development and even more importantly holland military training and intelligence sharing as part of the regional network to help better contain iranian regional aggression and i think what you'll see here is these countries will be followed by other arab countries such as oman morocco possibly sudan and eventually maybe in the next several years depending on who succeeds stay current king of saudi arabia but if it's mohammed bin solomon you may see saudi arabia entering this coalition and then you have this historic israeli slash sunni arab coalition that seeks to effectively contain and diminish iranian destabilization in
11:10 pm
the middle east and beyond so it's quite substantive and very significant. john i only have one minute left but i must ask you with the death of justice ginsburg igniting a battle between hurry up and not so fast and with this presidential election itself as it is foreign affairs are things accelerating quick let's get this done while we have tromp or is there a wait and see attitude as countries around the world are waiting to see what happens on november 3rd give me about a minute. sure you know i bet the world is watching with fascination and also maybe with some sense of alarm given many of the questions about potential voter integrity on election day and whether or not we'll actually be able to declare the winner on election night which i'm confident we should be if you don't have any
11:11 pm
massive fraud of electioneering but i think you'll see in different capitals different expectations in beijing i'm certain they're hoping that joe biden will win because trump is been so unpredictable and he started back trying to use aggression every step of the way geopolitically economically and technologically in russia i'm not sure they're glad i'm here cares because i think i the presidency will be a very problematic one for him you might think that joe biden is part of the democratic party that is pathologically obsessed with vladimir putin in russia so trump might still be better than biden germany i think is hoping joe biden comes in so that they don't have to hear any more about this new pipeline with russia and they're very weak burden sharing in nato the united kingdom certainly wants to maintain its relations with donald trump and i think the israelis and these new arab countries that are in a peace deal with if israel certainly would prefer donald trump to joe biden who is already stated if you becomes president he's going to have the united states rejoin
11:12 pm
the iran nuclear agreement and then to rise going to get a nuclear weapon in just a few years. wow fascinating analysis is always a chance at a ladies trilogy advisors please come again now another scam alert from author attorney bentley university professor stephen j. j. wiseman author of a stack of books including identity theft alert 10 rules you must follow to protect yourself from america's number one crime steve as joe biden challenges donald trump in november the president's critics often accuse him of thriving on chaos and so are the wiseguys right one of the election scams to be wary of this time of year. you know every season is kim season and as we're getting down in the homestretch before the election both sides are really making an effort to get some money in their coffers that they're going to use for advertising in
11:13 pm
campaigning so we are all going to be getting phone calls at hall from the campaigns asking us to contribute and here's one of the interesting things if you're on the federal do not call list you may not be able to be called legally by certain telemarketers and but there is an exception in that the politicians gave themselves to be able to call you for political contributions same thing with charities can recall so if you get a call and it seems to comes up on your caller id it says biden for president or reelect the president you can't trust it and the reason you can't trust it is a simple technique cults being by which the bad guys are able to be imposters they can make your caller id appear exactly as they want it to appear and so if you get a call you can't trust that call you don't ever contribute over the phone you
11:14 pm
actually it's the same thing with a request for a contribution by e-mail or text message again you can't tell if you want to make a contribution go to the campaign web site make sure it is accurately the web site look for the h t t p s so it's going to be an encrypted message that you send and use a credit card don't use a debit card your debit card could cost your bank to be lost steve's website is scam aside dot com and his scam of the day update has your back and steve say it was me remember his motto trust me you can't trust anyone. coming up the digital divide was already problematic preparing demick now with students distance learning and e-commerce on fire and streaming video will 5 genia lou. up to the promise and vall hype this is the big picture on our t.v. america.
11:15 pm
is sort of amazing country with so many friends in russia and i'm very excited to be here. because i love that idea i think i can do that. every night i make a lot of money with. millions and hundreds of me. here's a nice was. a great wallet nobody feels
11:16 pm
a lot better than me believe me and i'll build a very inexpensive like a great great wall. 'd and just in case you're worried about who's going to pay for it mexico will pay for . it will see what happens. i always say who knows what we'll see on the field it will be success. seemed wrong why don't we all just don't all. get to shape out just to become educated and in gains from an equals betrayal. when so many find themselves worlds apart we choose to look for common ground.
11:17 pm
can you hear me now your wife i have wireless signal may have been challenge to prepare and that mic now we've got zoom meetings and we're streaming video and e-commerce and distance learning will 5 g. be the answer let's ask hillary ford which from strong mark business development consultants hilary between september 29th teen and september 2020 amazon stock doubled and by a around mid april it felt like i have memorised netflix so wireless demand is there but hilary when can we expect 5 g.'s supply nationwide. pleasure to be back with you holland and it's not going to be anytime soon are actually in
11:18 pm
a nutshell 2025 years when it's expected to be sort of widely available across the u.s. of course right now there is 5 g. available at least certainly t. mobile lights to tout so but the question is what sort of latency is it there are basically 3 types of 5 g. and that is sort of the lowest be the mid speed and what everybody wants really is the fastest speed a 5 g. and that has about 10 milliseconds of latency latency being the connection between that the data and the information is quickly transmitted so a couple of things are geoffrey fowler is a reporter at the washington post based in the san francisco bay area which is not exactly a technological backwater and what he has found is in most instances his 4 g. phone and in fact or g. phones still have a better latency than 5 g. because the 5 g. handhelds really are not up to speed yet and there are a number of problems associated with this and one of them holland which is not to
11:19 pm
be mitigated is the fact that most 5 g. waves cannot permeate hard surfaces in other words the loss and most of the cell phone sort of distributors are towers or locations where you can have 5 g. actually don't transmit for more than about 150 meters what does this mean for get using a 5 g. cellphone in your car so that would prohibit a lot of americans wanting a 5 g. cell phones right now and can't services so how many americans of entry heart to be doing work or using a cell phone very few are obviously it won't permeate the windows of your house or anything else because it will permeate hard surfaces so going back to my not shell after 2025 is when it will be widely available in the kind of latency we want albeit 2022 is when it's suspected to be more prevalent. well say there's already been a super bowl where horizon has used it and there latency was so quick that they were
11:20 pm
able to communicate a lot of information in real time but that is a major carrier versus your average american having our cell phones in our. yeah that's what we're all salivating for but i too have read about these past square in certain places the 4 g. phone actually outperform the 5 g. phone and there's going to have to be a huge build out of a bunch of transmitters so i take a lot of what we see on t.v. commercials at the moment as marketing but prominent among the pain points in our troubled relations with china is while way the telecommunications giant which has a giant head start on 5 g. elsewhere but is suspect here and in the u.k. for fear that the technology is going to spy on us how much is this intrigue going to slow down 5 jean here. well you're absolutely correct holland and it's estimated
11:21 pm
the government is going to cost about the federal government about $1.00 b.n. to recount all of the infrastructure and the hardware that is why way and also actually another chinese company in terms of the hardware so 1800000000 is not a surface of all a small sum and secondly laid on top as you mentioned you know it was the we got lots of issues going on in the nation laid on top of the federal government's demands that the code released and all that is going out budget outlay wise it means it's going to be severely delayed mainly you know 1800000000 it's not going to come easily and that's what the f.c.c. projects it will cost to repair or that existing hardware in the u.s. which. yes we're speaking with strong mark business development consultant president hillary ford which when you were here a month ago hillary you were talking about big pharma funding medical schools and certainly newscast you turn on the networks evening news in the a c.
11:22 pm
commercials for one pill after another and in the months since hillary has shared something very personal with me which i have asked her to share with you hillary you have never. and sick and other than when you were having children you say you've never been to the doctor and hillary has shared with us the food smear 4 pillars of immunity it's an article she sent me and it was a real weapon on the side of the head we had about 4 minutes which is coincidental hillary talk about the 4 pillars that have spared you from been farmers product conveyor belt. well yes you're right and to your point helen just to for our audience you can look at any network be it the left be at the right be at the middle the one consistency you're going to find there's not much consistent these days if you're going to see yes a tremendous amount of commercials are funded by pharmaceutical companies only one percent and that's one percent of time in american medical schools in terms of
11:23 pm
learning is spent on diet and nutrition why because the pharmaceutical companies basically fund the medical industry and the with the federal government there isn't the emphasis on diet and nutrition so yes those 4 pillars one of course is nutrition you look at your average diet which is devoid of anything that will build your immune system your immune system is what keeps you from being sick so everything you eat by the way you can try to be a lot of food if it's healthy should be a plant or nature or animal based and you know that american expression always read the label well i don't buy anything with labels on it loose you never read that they are up by anything with a label and you actually should shop the outside of a supermarket fruits vegetables lean proteins whether you prefer meat or fish and you can stock up you can eat a lot so nutrition is so incredibly important and natural things like nuts and seeds anything where you can name a plant name an animal or something that's natural that grows that's what you
11:24 pm
should be consuming that's nutrition all right polo why it's. good to sleep your average american does not average american adult does not go. 7 to 8 hours sleep we can we consume far too much caffeine you must have a minimum really 7 hours of sleep hopefully something more like a personally i can't sleep that much i just can't but i do try to get as much as i can i try to get 6 hours that you should get 8 that's the 2nd one and then says apart from sleep mindfulness this means the lack of stress look how many people right now aren't stressed to the whole coburg issue as you've been mentioning your city election everything coming up is a very stressful time but you must find your own personal distress are ok mine personally is a man from behind me happens to be gold and now into the 2nd or the 4th pillar is exercise so i use 3 of the 3 m. for the 3rd and 4th killer mindfulness an exercise combined for me it's got off
11:25 pm
every weekend i walk 18 holes i play 18 holes of golf i just you know walk and i carry my bag because it's phenomenal exercise i never get in a golf cart my personal goal exercise wise is 20000 steps a day i do a 6 am boot camp if you're busy at home when you're working and zoom does a meeting run up and down the stairs that's what i do you know run up and down with laundry run up and down with the vacuum cleaner and by the way cleaning your house feels a lot burns a lot of calories and it's great for your immune system i advocate everyone on this network and everybody watching you know use it like an exercise routine i run around keeping so those are the 4 cooperation mindfulness and exercise. every time i've seen you in the r.t. broadcast center in washington you have looked like the pillar of good health and i look forward to seeing you there again post pandemic hillary ford which thank you for joining us here on the big picture as if this pandemic weren't risky enough on
11:26 pm
its own cyber security is a side effect with the wise guys trying to hack into our home why find that works while we are working at home scam busters steve wiseman has warned against clicking on any link or downloading any attachment email from anyone we don't know and our go to tech expert dave grave line says change the default password they came pre-installed on your home wife i wrote are now on the whole networks many products are available including things like a product called the blocker we had their c.e.o. on the show in berlin last month and you just plug this little 100 dollar box into your home network and it protects any and all devices on that network now of course if you leave and you're using your phone it's no longer protected by that particular box but many people do use some sort of internet security software already protecting your various devices at least on that machine or that particular
11:27 pm
device many newer wife i routers have some sort of fire wall we always recommend to our audience to use them and just as importantly if not more so use alphanumeric passwords not your dog's name or something they're going to find on your facebook or instagram profile make it a little more complicated alphanumeric put a couple of characters in there people think oh my gosh oh my god i remember that there are some great password tips that we can share with you any time and we do on a regular basis on our show because it's so important dave himself is on the mend after almost a month in the hospital when kovac caught up with him so we're glad that he's feeling. better and we hope you are well too let's all stay smart well that viruses out there thank you for hanging in there with us and watching the big picture in the meantime you can find us on our super cool new portable t.v.
