president spells last night. hello welcome this is all it international which i'm sure you knew when live from moscow this november 4th an exciting day because the fate of the u.s. presidency rests in the hands of hof a dozen states still counting votes right now as i speak results that are hiding in the pockets and could still go either way joe biden has claimed victory in the state of wisconsin edging him closer to the white house but don't trump is not going to without a fight he has demanded a recount of ballots unfaltering all sent to halt vote counting in michigan with more on the details here our correspondents in new york and washington. you now have donald trump on social media saying that he smells the possibility of fraud this is what donald trump tweeted out he said last night i was leading off and solidly in many key states in almost every instance democrat run and controlled

then one by one they started to magically disappear as surprise ballot dumps were counted very strange and the pollsters got it completely and historically wrong how come every time they count mail in ballot dumps they are devastating in their percentage and power of destruction twitter has labeled a number of donald trump's tweets in the past few hours as disputed and might be misleading about an election or civic matter and in order to view the president's tweets one has to click on them we've got the biden campaign raising money for what they call the biggest election protection effort ever they feel that donald trump is going to try to prove vente votes for biden from being counted there's a lot of outrage from the trump camp there is there is calls for recounts not just in michigan but also in wisconsin there is concerns from the president expressed about about pennsylvania where he argues he has

a strong lead but the you know postal ballots he's arguing that there's some kind of fraud going on or some potential for foul play and he's concerned about pennsylvania meanwhile many people in the democratic camp are saying that if this is simply what they predicted this is the mail in votes that have been cast coming in they urged people to wait for the results and not allow donald trump to declare victory so there is a lot of contention now about what these results mean we do not have official results from a number of states pretty clear that that the 2 campaigns do not see eye to eye about these results and donald trump is raising the specter of taking this to court so when we will actually have the results of when we will know who will be president for the next 4 years isn't. not exactly clear many people predicted that the day after the election we wouldn't know too close to call over some of the most serious bout of ground states in the country and when we look at projections this morning we keep seeing those numbers change now the latest projections are

specifically looking at the battleground states of wisconsin michigan and pennsylvania as of right now it looks like wisconsin and michigan could go towards biden if he gets those states then that's a him for getting to exactly 270 electoral votes which is what he needs to win the presidency now on trump's hand it looks like he could take pennsylvania which is a bit when but with the current projections it looks like he may only get to $268.00 electoral votes which is just shy of the all too important to 70 so of course right now when you're looking at these 2 candidates and the standings you're seeing that biden's feeling good right now he's standing back and he's saying continue to count those absentee ballots because he knows that he's more and more likely to get some from all of those ballots that were melvin in the weeks before the election now when it comes to trump he's getting more and more frustrated because exactly what we thought would happen how often which was that in person

voting typically tended to go more towards trump and then all of those absentee ballots continued to go 2 more and more towards fight and so now trump is coming out he's saying that the results are fraudulent he's alleging that a lot of these absentee ballots are now being brought in to offset his lead and of course he is saying that he wants to take legal action as a result of that now of course like you said he's looking at michigan wanting to fall lawsuit there to stop the ballot counting he's looking at wisconsin and wanting to call for a recount there all together which would of course add more time to deciding who is the winner and then when it comes to pennsylvania even though this state is looking like maybe and lead right now we're talking about razor thin margins here where he's out just how often 1000000 votes and the state this morning said that they still have 1400000 absentee ballots to count. so it could be that it could go either way and that's exactly what we're seeing with these 2 candidates right now looking at these results and wondering how it's going to turn out the biggest thing we're saying is that donald trump is not going to go down without

a fight here he's going to use every single legal avenue possible that he can get his hands on and that could mean this race going to the supreme court now the frustration that comes from that is that if the supreme court is the one that comes in and actually decides who wins this election that means that they're deciding it and the american people who went out and voted in record numbers aren't necessarily the ones who are actually deciding this election so that's kind of what we're dealing with right now but tensions certainly are still very high here in washington d.c. . well tensions high indeed vote counting is still underway in those states there's very little new information coming out of what we can say though is that joe biden is due to make a speech any time soon we've been waiting for him when looking at that podium she's already spoken once in the. like she said she felt confident of victory well we'll see what he has to say this time around with wisconsin now in his column we will go on to that as soon as he a much is so don't go and you why yet when i don't trouble joe biden seem to be

willing to concede accusations of voter fraud and threats to take them out to to the supreme court are only placing father stress on you already existing divisions in american society i discuss the current political climate with more costive. well that they're claiming that they would get with an election this close with an election this close well where you've got to wait until the final hours to see who voted for whom who is actually leading you need to set a precedent g.-d. to create fuel you need to make noise to make sure that when it comes when it comes in for a recount perhaps or a challenge to the supreme court you can say that over remember i was shouting about this or i was i was screaming about voter fraud that this was unfair so what about sitting in creating a precedent these this was an ugly campaign the situation the streets in america is

ugly people are completely divided and it's a 2 cabs and this wasn't a blowout as polls indicate after all this was a march cusa election suggesting that there's still a lot of americans despite everything that the united states has been through this year that support trouble and they're all b.s. you to be very unhappy if there's a blue president in the white house so now trump has created all this noise shouting and screaming about the fraud and you know illegal activities and errors in boot county you had him tweeting about 128000 boots magically appearing provide 1st of all it's worth saying balance that was likely a recruiting error to immediately sense that the comment but it's everywhere now and this is this has been trump's tactic you know if you create new ways then in the future you'll be able to point out that this was you know trouble point and here we have a situation in which there's all sorts of crises in every state that is you know

something that either side is on happy with and now they're claiming that they're going to go to the supreme court we want. it to be used in a proper manner so we'll be going to the u.s. supreme court we want all voting just. we don't want them to find any ballots at 4 o'clock in the morning and that's the list. so you're prepared for any effort republicans make in any court in any of the states to advance the surgery. last night where there was such a mixed reaction to trump's speech at 2 am that when you came out all smiles but saying this is far from over and it's not the blue wave as many we're protecting as you're quite right and sad but i mean still a lot of people for you know what pre-election this is just a lot of people saying all that we're going to fight about but they didn't maybe

expect it to actually get to this point always surprised that i actually got to a point of 2 presidential candidates saying we're going to go to court well 2020 and all that of course there was a new put it this is the worst case scenario if one of them had more than a polls indicated you know it would be far it would be in sort to be a new president the other would be forced to concede the clues through these the mall worst case scenario it is because there's no room to contest the election i mean there were 50 o.s.c. observers for the entirety of the united states though there was no you know there's no outside 'd observers who you could then ask. people who have you to new bikes neutral who you could ask is this fair but was this for i mean some of these allegations if this election was in ukraine or in russia that be shouting and screaming about how unfair and unfree it was here it's completely different the mail in ballots as well the early voting it will skew the balance of what was

expected and what wasn't with with the with the letters being 3 counted obviously they favor biden because he had called it as worthless malin rather than a ted with trumpet it was the opposite and with different states having different regulations you know different vote counting mechanisms and procedures it's just all sort of confusing to the point where you can say anything which is what both candidates have been saying you know you like. and you can tell the people he won anything you want you will support they'll support you just because of the color of the hatch you've got on your head other supporters you to the full stabbings in front of the white house the other wideouts to meet people to take their disagreements says icky oh mon another i mean this is this is the president just. how the now divided the united states is than at any point in living memory

and this is something that. is reported on significantly that the united states now is as divided as it's never been before. it was all high hopes and big promises back in 2016 when donald trump took his place in the white house the nation was already divided by race gender class you name it and the country needed a hero now it's time for america to find a division have to get together. republicans and democrats and independents across this nation i say it is time for us to come together as one united people turned out trump never came to be that night in shining armor.

election it look if it plays out the way it is right now the electoral college would be $270.00 votes for joe biden $268.00 votes were donald trump the closest electoral result in the history of presidential elections you know this was supposed to be a blue wave for joe biden or you know donald trump was supposed to you know easily replicate is his when he was in 2016 that's not the case this is extraordinary only divided country and both political parties recognize this and both are ready to take any contested result. through the court system up to and including the supreme court so it's not an idle threat and let there be no doubt that this is an election that will be decided in the supreme court of the united states while picking off all not if it is decided in the supreme court how do you think the fact pataudi think that trump has the upper hand that because of the c.

republicans a dominant now. especially with the reset nomination of a macone power it would do you think that actually biden doesn't need to sweat it. well no i mean 1st of all from joe biden i would definitely be concerned about you know anything that took what he would believe to be an obvious electoral victory to a court system where a non democratic process would decide the presidency of the united states so this is not something that anybody is taking lightly and the 1st thing we have to understand is that the supreme court in and of itself cannot. just decide to hear a case you know they can say hey we're going to intervene you can't take something directly to the supreme court you have to 1st have a state case that has developed and then a decision made and then somebody appeals that decision directly to the supreme court so you know in the case of donald trump he is going to have to establish

jurisdiction in a state. you know make it make a case that fraud has occurred or somehow a legal right has been denied present that to a state court and then the state court will decide to probably against dropping the trump will seek to get this appeal to the supreme court supreme court does not have to take the case i mean if this is a weak case if it's something that hasn't been lax and legal foundation the supreme court to say we're not going to hear this and then the matter is resolved if the supreme court does take it on however i think recent decisions by the supreme court . both in terms of i think you know justice kavanagh wrote a decision that indicates that the supreme court may be in fact inclined to hold 'd voting if it's deemed to be a chaotic and in violation of was so has a samuel alito and that of course we have the wild card. barrett. you know that

that the court is stacked with conservatives who seem to be inclined to support. the kind of legal. case that donald trump might bring to bear but there's a long path between what is occurring now and a final supreme court decision 1st of all we probably wouldn't get a final supreme court decision until sometime in december so this is going to be a long lengthy legal process. you know that will play out once you know we get a final vote count wrote the states have to certify the vote count 1st before trump can formally challenge it or there has to be definitive proof of some sort of legal malfeasance or at least you know denial is right that's so obvious that trump in the seat legal redress right now through a state court would just pick up on what he said that i want to have an off talk about halting voting now we know that tom's campaign is filed and also now to help

vote counting in michigan and it says that it's been denied access to several polling. counting areas and that it actually wants to go in and look at the votes that were counted whilst they were not allegedly given access what do you make of that move do you think it's trumped perhaps showing weakness vulnerability . well there there's no doubt 1st you know we we don't have a final vote count michigan so we don't know how many votes we're talking about but let's put it this way the larger the by a margin of victory the more difficult path trump has. any court including the supreme court would be loath to disqualify. you know 100000 votes that's just going to be a very difficult path for the trump administration to or the trunk campaign to

overcome there's no doubt that if you're taking this election to the court you are in many ways you know this plane weakness it wouldn't you know that that position of strength is to actually win the popular vote when the vote in the state get the electoral votes and and claim the presidency clearly trump is on his back foot in places like michigan wisconsin if pennsylvania ends up going to court he's on a stronger footing end in places like nevada and arizona where you know it's a much tighter a result so let's see you know which changed sides to move forward on and what that case actually is but there is no doubt that donald trump is on the defensive here by trying to win an election by seeking legal redress we mentioned wisconsin that it didn't reset and cost our will so biden's claim victory in the state trump on

the other hand is demanding a vote recount i think it's just saw of $21000.00 the margin how do you see that thankee think there are and it's not grounds for top saying you know what let's look at what i got. well i'm not a lawyer so it's it's it's difficult for me to be definitive about the law in this respect but i do know that donald trump like joe biden has his staff his team with . with very capable lawyers who are you know legally trained in knowledgeable in making a case a i don't think you're going to see a shallow case look the american election system in its 50 states doing what each state wants to do and it's chaotic and there's plenty of room and we have a history of corruption in the election process one only has to go back to you know mayor daley in chicago to understand how easy it is to buy an election in the

united states and so if you dig deep enough if you scratch enough any skates electoral process you are going to find. inconsistency if you are going to find you know possible signs of corruption so a good lawyer is going to be able to make a case that can be presented before a judge whether or not the judge buys that case or whether or not the decision of the judge overturns you know election result is a different question but there's no doubt that legally. quantifiable arguments are going to be prepared by the trump team regarding wisconsin and other you know and the other states if you look hard enough you're going to find something that you can make a legal argument to to appeal. what alice thought went to getting his 2 pennies thoughts out with political analyst and former u.n. weapons inspector up to inspect i rather thought i thought that with you it's going
