allegations of electoral fraud and terrorist threats of legal action calls to halt the product counting and angry crowds in the streets downtown the 2028 u.s. presidential election is going so far with both candidates can think they're winning. we discuss with america's minor parties the libertarians and brings on how people are given no real choice from the republicans and democrats. i don't know if libertarians or other 2 parties are it will ever consistently get high enough to win a national election we're the only winners single member districts when you take all system. which encourages people to vote for the lesser evil. england's very

imposing restrictions following the examples of france and germany and a bit too slow a record surging quite a bit caissons for many e.u. citizens a feeling at the margins. are good morning to you and thank you for joining us as we continue to bring you the latest on the race to the white house. with the u.s. votes marked by uncertainty and claims of electoral fraud thousands of people around the country are taken that anger to the streets demanding all votes counted some of the protests have turned violent and made clashes with police.
1:02 am
well that says america is gripped by uneasy anticipation with ballot counting entering the final stages in most states let's take a look at how things look democrat joe biden has the backing of 264 electors one his rival donald trump has 240 the threshold for winning the race is 270 votes and whoever crosses the line 1st will gain the presidency but one thing we can already say for sure is that a 2021 vote has been modified allegations of electoral fraud and arrows trying campaign has filed lawsuits in 3 states pennsylvania michigan and julia demanding that absentee ballots which arrived after the election day deadline should not be
1:03 am
included i mean one of the states of north carolina the ballot counting will take up to 8 more days that's according to the local election committee commission and while nevada no officials have postponed ballot counting until thursday delays are also expected elsewhere across the u.s. let's get more on the latest i'm told to the studio. thanks for coming in and give us the latest on the how the counting is going and those that were made in key states. well hi again i can tell you that of course everyone's waiting for the announcement of who's going to become the next leader for america like it happened 4 centuries but more than a day after the polls closed the america does america still doesn't have a president elect instead what we have in the country what the nation is experiencing is anger in the streets a lawsuits and also a feeling that this is is flawed like you were saying the protests are breaking out
1:04 am
in different parts of the country and we do realize that the country is going to remain. the limbo for at least the next few days as we are hearing now from and in various states that the official results from them won't come in until later this week coming back to the protests the pro democratic supporters the pro biden people are chanting pretty much make sure every vote counts while the supporters are screaming stop the count now why they're doing so i can tell you that ahead of november. donald trump called on his supporters to vote in part because he was warning the potential fraud with absentee and mailed in votes and now the trial. is saying that they have the grounds to accuse the democrats of such fraud they are banging the alarm over various kinds of irregularities
1:05 am
including secretly dumped ballots. not a single republican has been able to look at any one of these mail ballots they could be from mars as far as we're concerned or they could be from the democratic national committee joe biden could have voted 50 times as far as we know a $5000.00 times the ballots could be from camden. philadelphia unfortunately and say this about my own city has a reputation for voter fraud you have a reputation of dead people voting and we're going to go look at just how many dead people voted here i don't think we have to do that but we will and you have a reputation for people being bussed in from camden voting here. or was referring to wisconsin here and i can tell you that in one of wisconsin districts an extra 0 was added to the number of the total people told number of people who voted which immediately the made that number higher than the total population of that district
1:06 am
and that instantly put joe biden in the lead and that's just another example of how messy it can get when it comes to the counting and the unusual curve that you can see summarizes the situation i can tell you that in 3 states that is georgia pennsylvania and michigan the trump camp followed the lawsuit to demand a holt in the counting of absentee votes and if we come back to wisconsin they are demanding that votes be recounted in that particular state now all of this is being echoed by the pro trump supporters here's what they are. here's what they're saying and what their message is in detroit michigan. to. cool.
1:07 am
so like i say some people are screaming stop that count the other ones are saying make sure that every vote counts but earlier that didn't stop the 2 candidates form pretty much for claiming victory perhaps it was too soon for donald trump to say that because now the numbers aren't looking bad good for him but eventually joe biden give a gave a speech that did indeed sound as if he has already won and this is what exactly he said he called for unity in the nation. once this election is finalized and behind us it will be time for us to do what we've always done as americans to put the harsh rhetoric of the campaign behind us to lower the temperature to see each other again to listen to one another. to hear
1:08 am
each other again respecting to care for one another to unite to heal to come together as a nation. so we are hearing these calls to come together to unite as a nation but some would say that these are. the things that we're hearing from mr biden's do sound a bit too awkward given the fact that the how the democrats are pretty much bashing the pro trump supporters ahead of the election but let's see what else happens and let's see what's going on with the protests with the lawsuits that are being filed by the trump campaign the protests are expanding to. other areas to newer areas of the u.s. and like we're saying no more a glare if you are being reported by the trial so let's watch out for the update thank you. and we discussed the situation with guests some of who i think
1:09 am
developments point to a white a failure of the u.s. system. there's an acquiescence to that in fact biden if he has won the presidency i would say i don't think that whatever the court challenges are going to change anything with the possible exception of wisconsin where you have some implausible numbers that are coming out and i've seen a lot of a lot of vetting on line about these strange amount of turnout which seems like you know beyond belief level of turnout and so there seem to be a lot of mystically manufactured votes in wisconsin i'm not sure that actually change the outcome of the social media has been manipulated in this election banning accounts that are not quite to their liking pushing people to do this to do that i mean it's with been the most manipulated election certainly in my lifetime there's no question about that and we all know which way the manipulation is going so this is this is not a mystery right this is not we all know which way the social media giants were
1:10 am
leaning the way the major media was leaning so of course you know if biden ekes out this little bit this time in victory with a couple of states that swing swing states where there's some suspicious ballot you know biden comes becomes president with with almost you know with very little the gentleman say and certainly no you know serious consensus so there will be no mandate for biden and this will last for 4 years this is a tremendous failure of the american system i don't know what else to tell you usually after every election people like well we argued a lot we debated things a lot but now the system has worked this year. that is not happening there's nobody in this country who thinks the system actually worked it was either rigged or it's broken or didn't work or something so this in a strange way at least at the presidential level election really settled absolutely
1:11 am
nothing i think because i think that there's a lot to contest i mean this is a election unlike any other with all of the mail in ballots with all the early voting we knew it was you could be chaotic from the beginning unless it was a massive landslide direction everyone were sort of expect that this was going to drag out and maybe drag out until december but by law we have to have a winner by december 12th i believe it is and this river is probably where this is going to go no side is going to give up easily and i know we have all of these incredibly shady stories popping up 100000 ballots here for joe biden 120000 ballots in pennsylvania recently per job i'd offer joe biden what is this venezuelan voter fraud is a big concern we see this public now you always you know a little anomalies popping up here and there are going to school errors but we're seeing instances where people. got a mail in ballot and then they decide to vote in person so how we should ensure that they didn't vote twice all those ballots are canceled out we are seeing instances rigged or not being allowed to look at signatures on voter rolls not be
1:12 am
able to verify voters that there are some districts that are being very close about how they're recounting the ballots why would you do that why would you want anything but transparency but yet where did this come from and i wouldn't put anything past the left of the democratic party look at the fraud that they have perpetuated on this nation blessed for years they still haven't conceded the 26 election no one but they're going to concede this one so it's well worth looking into i would not put it past the democrat party to pull something like this. and both 202016 kind of gets lost despite winning the popular votes that's down to the country as an electoral college system.
1:13 am
my colleagues head i spoke with representatives from america's 3rd party that have a terrier's on the greens on whether they current 2 party domination gives americans any real alternatives. the one percent that libertarians get. does play a significant role i don't know if libertarians or other 3rd parties are or will ever consistently get high enough to win a national election maybe not win in elections but impacting policy debates and reaching out to voters is what we do how it's want to pick up on something that was just said too he said you know we're talking about a single percent support for thought pa to town to that's right it's kind of spec like even $4849.00 for the republicans and democrats so it's almost sad to say that the republicans or democrats at this point represent the will of the majority of
1:14 am
americans do you think that as you know you disagree with that absolutely i mean look at public opinion polls majority of americans want a green new deal which is what the green party is for to deal with the climate crisis get the economy going again majority of americans want medicare for all and both democrats and republicans oppose those houses the problem is that our electoral system we have a plurality winner single member districts when you take all system which encourages people to vote for the lesser evil the most people are voting against the other major party rather than for their own party. so i think if we can change the electoral system in place the electoral college with a national popular vote using right choice voting for presidential elections i think the greens will move way up and in the boat currently the state in the us is kind of how how it harkens mentioned it's people for trump and people who hate
1:15 am
trump that's what they're voting about and they're there strategically choosing one of the major parties not that they necessarily agree with the platforms of those parties and was that there is a lot of oh i pod criticism voting for a 3rd party actually can create problems more problems and build and just wason the device and because that essentially stealing quotes you know folks from parties that would actually when for example the republicans or the democrats in this particular case why it is so close and those states that were saying you know sometimes even less than a percentage point how would you react to people who say that if i had to choose we want to any one of the major parties i would flip a coin because i equally dislike both of them. the difference between the republicans and democrats is mostly about personality and style when it comes to
1:16 am
the substance of the issues they're both for the deficit spending they're both for spending and taxing too much they're both for continuing the wars and those are things that libertarians oppose and even grains oppose some of that stuff as well so i actually like it when the republicans and democrats get mad at libertarians because it causes them to focus on us and it gives us an opportunity to say hey here's why you guys are wrong and here's why we won't vote for you this is what we stand for what we need real political parties that actually have members i mean what we have now are 2 major parties you tell the state which party you're in in order to vote in primaries there's no local organization. no local chapter the party no you don't agree to a set of principles and they do sort of join you just tell the state which party you're in so the electorate is adam artist and disconnected from the political process. but all chance received unprecedented scrutiny from the us
1:17 am
establishment and mass media during his 1st 4 years of present presidency with some even calling him the most dangerous president ever to have reports however it ends the election trump will go down in history his vows to drain the swamp build the wall and make america great again they'll remember him what they'll write about him will depend on the book the author the perspective if they loved him or hated him he's the greatest failure in the history of the united states and the worst with resumes america has ever had. the worst and most dangerous president where are you in 2017 when we had the worst president i would even argue that he is the worst worst president in american history he's the worst president the country's ever had 4 years of trump was 4 years of bitter conflict at every level he and his opponents

fought it was a tom what grown ups behave like children in the white house and congress in the streets when democrats and republicans seemed to put aside everything that they agreed on and focused entirely on everything that they despised about one another. the $252.00 congressional votes under trump's presidency $104.00 resulted in disputes and clashes some of the initiatives that congress voted on would to block trumps initiatives they voted to prevent votes on things that trump wanted and we're not talking here about things like the wall or deporting illegal migrants we're talking about politicians who supported trump's ideas like pulling out of the iran nuclear deal when he was a businessman suddenly reversing their positions when he became president seemingly out of spite i believe iran will not change and under this agreement it will be

able to achieve its dual goals of eliminating sanctions well ultimately retaining its nuclear and non-nuclear power at this time and this place for so many reasons pulling out precipitously without our allies involved does not achieve any of the goals we need to achieve and hurts americans in different ways but politics is politics right they fought under obama too if a little less nothing new about the media then specifically them losing their minds and throwing away any semblance of balance out the window. digging up tax records or leaking calls to even investigating trump's foreign ties it's journalism that's what journalists do it's normal no what they outdid themselves on is outright and somewhat petty smear campaigns about how awful trump
1:20 am
is for drinking too much diet coke about how much of a cheat trump is that golf about how bad he is at it about how his own wife doesn't want to hold his hand all cheap all dirty and for trump easy to dismiss you are shake do we are fighting the fake to use people in your profession that rate fake news you do shit on the resume to your fake news the net result has been a collapse of trust in the media the news it isn't news when the publication has an evident interest in maligning someone. never in living memory has the establishment tried to sink a president elected by the american people from before he took office with sabotage with leaks with set ups they did everything to make people believe in the trump russia collusion sham the kumi investigation the steel dossier about prostitutes

and urination the mueller report all to make impeachment possible the impeachment of the president of the united states impeachable conduct impeachment nonetheless we should begin proceedings to impeach the president move forward with impeachment and this president has partners on impeachment this impeachment process cost a reported $11000000.00 trying to impeach trump $32000000.00 for the mueller report countless man hours wasted and they couldn't pull it off at the end of the day trump will be remembered if differently he was a tyrannical megalomaniac and a man who drank too much go. who sucks at golf and whose hands even his own wife didn't want to hold he was also a man of the people the underdogs to drain the swamp that is washington and cost down the corrupt elites whatever version they read in the future the agree on

only one thing it was a long and savage fight with the ballot counting extremely tight here's how it looks at this point democrat joe biden has the backing of 264 and electors one his rival donald trump has 240 the threshold for winning the race is 270 votes and to have a crosses the line 1st will gain the presidency but one thing we can already say for sure is about 2020 votes has been marred by allegations of electoral fraud and error is the trunk campaign has filed lawsuits in 3 states can survey near michigan and georgia demanding that absentee ballots which arrived after the election date deadline should not be included meanwhile in the state of north carolina the ballot counting will take up to 8 more days passed according to the local election commission while nevada officials have postponed ballot counting until thursday delays are expected elsewhere across the u.s.

as well. turning to other world news now major members are returning to lockdown following a record surge in covert cases with in some instances a 43 percent rise in victims england's very imposing restrictions following the examples of france and germany in order to slow down the spread france has more than $48000.00 new cases a day italy is introducing curfews from 10 pm and at the same time there's a growing public anger at the news that's going out to you and our cars for you to all of a piece or could you bring us up to date on the situation there well
1:24 am
here in berlin we're into the 4th day of what's being called lockdown like the new measures that were brought in by angle a miracle the basic idea here is to shut down social life at the. in order to keep schools and as much of business alive as possible what that means is if you run a bar restaurant a cinema theatre a gym that business is closed down if you children are able to go to schools and kindergartens also if your business doesn't involve a lot of close contact well you can also keep that open as well but there are restrictions in place so far though here in berlin at least there's been a pretty mixed reaction to the measures. in my opinion the measures come too late and i think they should have been different shutting down businesses at 10 pm i find absurd it looks like the virus only comes out at night during the day you can do whatever you want but then at night you have to close because the virus comes.
1:25 am
partly i find it justified partly i'm sad about the restaurants but overall i find the lockdown necessary for the money it's dark if you have no savings or support it isn't enough in berlin as a freelance musician suddenly everything is gone there isn't enough help at all. well germany recorded 19990 cases of covert 19 on wednesday that's the highest it's been for a while it's also higher than the doomsday scenario that was predicted by angular merkle of potentially 19200 cases a day it's the 6th straight day that germany's recorded over 15000 cases the aim of this lock down like these new corona measures is to get cases down by 75 percent angle merkel said that if we can do that over november there's a chance of easing restrictions over the christmas period. he said turning king
1:26 am
toughen up this decision depends on what we can achieve in november so if we are very sensible now then we will be able to allow ourselves more freedom for christmas but i don't think that there will be lavish new year parties we have to wait and see but it will be a christmas on the chronic conditions but it should not be a lonely christmas. for all over the western border into france and the some really bleak such statistics being put out by the french health minister olivia her on one parisienne every 30 seconds had being contracting covert 19 just recently one person every 15 minutes hospitalized with it a much darker picture for christmas coming out of france minister of iran saying well look you're going to have to make your plans around the coronavirus because this virus won't make its plans around you there has been demonstrations in france
1:27 am
as well what we've seen is a group of high school students protesting against a lack of social distancing and a lack of anti coronavirus measures in place in schools tear gas was used against them in paris the schools in france went back on monday. in the united kingdom england enters another lockdown on thursday but everybody was well 30 not everybody but a lot of people in london in the capital were getting their last few drinks in in places like all compton street in the west end of london we saw people out on the streets barely a mask insights not a lot of social distancing going on there at all either while elsewhere in europe in sweden
1:28 am
a country that had been held up as an example by some of how to get people to listen to restrictions without them being law well it looks like they're going to have to turn them into law now stephan loaf and the head of government in sweden saying he's going to be looking at making coronavirus restrictions legal part of the legal system there in greece state brought in new stricter measures that means that no non-essential flights are coming in and out of thessaloniki and there's also limits on when and for what reasons you can leave your house in portugal we've seen the prime minister put in place a new state of emergency and in italy a new curfew has come in as europe continues to try and get the number of infections of covert 19 down. pace how many thanks for the update. and thank you for joining us here on r.t. international we're back at the top of the hour with over night.
