6:30 pm
allo there you are watching and question coming to you live from our to america's national news headquarters here in washington d.c. i am an election and i'm being joined today by our special co-host for continued 2020 election coverage bence one is here it is continued coverage we are breaking in to bring you president trump himself will be speaking momentarily from the white house tonight that we're not exactly sure what the president will say but we are anticipating that he's going to speak out about what is happening in pennsylvania
6:31 pm
right now the trump campaign about probably 15 to 30 minutes ago and it will hold a news conference in which they have filed for an injunctive measure by a court in pennsylvania to stop the counting specifically in philadelphia where they say that trump supporters are not being allowed to view the vote count as it goes on and this obviously coming after michigan a michigan judge threw out the trump campaign's attempt to file a lawsuit there to stop the counting or perhaps with a recount and so it's not a recount but they were asking to stop the counting in michigan and challenging the ballots that had come at the problem is michigan was already done counting so the judge threw that out not on the grounds that they didn't have a point it was just the county had already been done and here's the interesting thing about michigan i just noticed before we jumped on to the desk for this breaking news is that up until literally a couple hours ago the incumbent democrat senator there was trailing behind
6:32 pm
his challenger john james by a lot double digits yes and i know a lot of people watching right now are concerned about. these voter ballot dumps as they're calling it magically appear. out of nowhere from all these various states but now that could be something people are looking at in the senate race sure michigan now obviously john james is african-american his challenger who's the incumbent democrat is white and so there is some indication that he was drawing a coalition of voters that president trump would not be drawing on michigan but it is always at least questionable when you have a high profile senate race and you have a presidential race in the same year to not see a state go in the same direction for both of those races right down ballot you might see some changes but typically especially when you are a challenger facing an incumbent it's very unlikely that a challenger would beat an incumbent from an opposite party of a challenger who beats an incumbent president and we very rare but what we're
6:33 pm
seeing in that race is i don't think was reflected in the on the presidential race up the ticket right because down ticket that senate race in john james with up he was way up he was up 101213 points yeah it's very interesting to see how that plays out now let's talk about what's happening in pennsylvania because this is a pretty interesting story this morning if you're just catching up with what's been going on today it's been an active day this morning there was a challenge that was made by the trauma campaign they essentially said that poll watchers in pennsylvania were not being allowed to stand and watch the votes being counted which they say they have a legal right to do enough so that they went to court manila and they asked the judge an appellate court judge in philadelphia to file an order that would say you must allow the trump campaign into the building to monitor this happening now the judge went for this said you have to be 6 feet away because of social distancing and a barrier was set up but then it gets really strange because apparently. first the
6:34 pm
. folks who were counting the ballots told the truth campaign to wait outside while they reviewed the order decide whether to obey the order then once they came inside they were put behind the campaign was put. behind the barrier but then apparently the voting machines were then taken and moved to the other side of the room for beyond that 6 foot distance right and meanwhile they want to act very transparent as they say right there reporting to us that we're being very transparent about our procedures our process the poll watchers are here the campaign is here they're allowed in but then you go and you literally move the machines that is causing i mean you can say transparency all you want but when you're acting and behaving in such a manner that causes this media hysteria that then trickles down to the viewers and the people at home going what is going on here what's happening in pennsylvania
6:35 pm
so one of the questions is obviously got politics on both sides no doubt about that but beyond that you have another possible issue here which is an order from an appellate court judge the order from the judge was you have to allow those poll watchers to be or vote count watchers to be within 6 feet of those who are counting the votes that order. appears to have been we don't know this but it appears to have been disobeyed which is why late today corey window who was president from former campaign manager pat bondi she is the former attorney general of florida on behalf of the trump campaign wind and filed for injunctive relief what does that mean that means they are asking a judge in pennsylvania to order an injunction that would stop all counting in philadelphia until the trump campaign is allowed access to be able to view what votes are being counted and to be able to view from their vantage point to make
6:36 pm
sure that votes are properly being counted and there aren't genuine guinn's going on that's a good idea and that last in our last hour of news and there have been many hours on that same subject in the last hour we saw what was at the state's attorney general or u.s. states attorney the secretary of state for that said when you for pennsylvania she appeared on air and she basically gave a press conference telling us how her state was processing these votes in the measures that they were taking and to ensure you know there was no identity theft or that kind of road or fraud but i'm not sure that that gets to the crux of the campaign complaint i think much of the trump campaign complaint is not about one or 2 or 3 a handful of identity theft issues in ballots i think the campaign is worried about the destruction of ballots that have been cast legally properly for trump
6:37 pm
or incorrect ballots being added into the mix or the other concern about fake ballots coming in about additional ballots being thrown into the mix that shouldn't be there what the president and his team keep saying i'm sure we're going to hear this tonight he says every vote should count that's a legal vote his words every legal vote should count every illegal vote should be thrown out and there's a lot of debate about what constitutes a legal vote and then i don't mean a debate from a legal standpoint a debate from a. little standpoint what democrats and republicans are significantly disagreeing on at this hour across the nation is what is considered a legal vote and what is considered an illegal vote and the reality is millet there is a legal definition in every state for exactly that yes heart of the problem that we've been running into is you don't have a federal election one federal election that took place we have 50 states to pray elections that have taken place now my complaint and you know this because we've talked about this off set sure is that because especially because of coronavirus laws in all 50 states have actually changed and the way you can get your ballots
6:38 pm
for example we talked about nevada allowing everybody as long as you're registered to vote you were deliver by u.s.p.s. delivered a ballot whether you asked for it or not and that caused a lot of confusion but that's state to state and i think that is something that i'm not sure if it's the election the presidential election council that needs to look into this or if this is a congressional matter but my question is. if this is a federal election why is there no federal law that makes this the same for every state wife every state allowed to execute the presidential election in the way they see fit that may be a question that more and more people are beginning to confront again the reason for that the simple reason is because it's 50 state elections it's not one federal election but i think after this year there may be a lot of debate about the let's bring in robert beattie oh and lionel of lionel
6:39 pm
media guys to bring you in for some legal analysis in all of this we anticipate robert that tonight the president going to come out i'm going to give you my $0.02 of what i think is about to happen president trump is very concerned it seems that tonight there's going to be some state maybe it's georgia maybe it's you know more more votes coming in in pennsylvania that push a projection and i think he's very concerned that maybe tonight or early tomorrow morning that news media will make a projection that joe biden has won and he knows in his campaign knows if we get that far and a projection happens it's going to be very hard to walk that back is tonight what we're about to see is the president come out not only are they asking for the injunction but he's also doing this to try to prevent a projection from being made. probably what he's going to do but remember in 2000 called he conceded the election to george w. bush before receiving that. concession so the odds of this is unprecedented what i
6:40 pm
do while i'm a pretty good principle come out of the statesman say that he wants the voting to continue expressed the need for the constitution to be respected and better our morals as a nation require the peaceful transfer of power and that he will not contest the results of the will be american people nobody believes that's going to happen but i want to make sure because i thought you said that you got that was about to happen . what we all would ringback like to have we know that it's not what we really mean for the pros what we need to look at what the president is doing league. the places they're trying to intercede in certain states they want to stop the county other states want to continue county to get a concrete standard for that and as one analyst said after shelby holder in 2014 who had a diluted voting rights we need to submit the stories records of who the president is the authorized 965 voting rights at the have national standards on the ledge and we've got republican fighting against that since the days and the what now we're seeing that metastasized into this year's election and i know what about that why
6:41 pm
don't we have one uniform federal law that says when you're voting for president maybe put it on a separate take it i'm not sure how this will work but why don't we have one federal law for that. if you were to say that to a bunch of federalists if you were to say that with much of 10th amendment states' right people they would they would choke on their on their salad upon hearing that the question is what you're asking is a great question there's a better question to which i think transcends this why is it in the year 2020 when we can map of the genome we still have this archaic system which i think speaks to something which is which makes it right and right if for any kind of shenanigans and it comes down to simply this if you were that we subpoenaed of a call this is just human nature this is it on now but if you were the receptive the beneficiary of let's say a vote early or say well that's it for by you we're going to call for peace and
6:42 pm
finale the 4 train station if you are the victim or the perceived victim you're going to say that this goes at the franchise if you're going to as my learned colleague says we know so much about how the vote can be stolen we had terrible days of poll taxes and literacy tests and our system of voting is the worst but he also say that in the united states constitution voting is never mentioned at all there's hardly anything new selectors and that sort of thing they never got around to it so the question we have to ask is how is that right now that we see that we have something as archaic and as stupid as this let me just leave you with this i've often suggested that the best person we should have to find people is people from a.a.r.p. so anybody who's 50 years old knows they will find you they will certify you no matter where you are they should be running the elections i think. well and if we're talking about the process for the elections there's a lot to that but that aside since obviously none of that can change for this year
6:43 pm
robert as we look into what is happening right now on the ground in pennsylvania let's talk about the legal part of this legally what the campaign is asking for tonight is they're asking for an injunction by an appellate court judge to essentially stop the counting based on the grounds that they say they are not being allowed access to to monitor these votes now we know that there was enough of the case that was made that it didn't compel an appellate court judge this morning to rule in their favor but it doesn't seem that that order and again this is just reports we're getting is not saying that that order was followed so does that create a larger problem at least in terms of the perception that something is amiss here. i don't think so at all and let's understand whenever you have corey lewandowsky going into court for you you're probably not on solid ground for what he did joy billowed or in the last campaign what he did put a few more work order a result of him being arrested i don't understand why he still involved in national politics let's start from there secondarily on this idea of the whole watchers or
6:44 pm
the poll or the campaign these we hover over the shoulders of these campaign workers let's look at what the president's rhetoric has been in the past if you want to send people into the polls this is during the same debate where he wants people looking out for theirs i mean they don't miss going on that you want to be pro boys do you stand by and stand back oh no no you're very much the reason the not so but robert hold on hold on haven't let me let me jump back in because but that doesn't answer the question i asked the question what was not about the character of the people who are in there a judge this morning said you do have the right to see this you do have the right to be within 6 feet and according to reports that were on the ground there poll workers then took the machines and rolled them away so they still couldn't be seen that that i cannot think right the optics i'm looks terrible. well it's not true it's understand the one we're trying to insert these people who are not involved in electoral process just there to look over people's shoulders so if what i think i
6:45 pm
want to happen from have another court ruling are going to be set out clear and defined by a criteria for doing so to make sure we're maintaining public health protocols and also phone will not only our people that's all that's all that is trying to be done and we have double trouble when we right now this will be an issue why don't i get in here to listen to my learned counsel if you had a client and you represented and you said good news i have a temporary restraining order injunction from the court that allows you to view what is going on i think my good friend you are not suggesting that that order means you can just look in and see the activity in the coffee being made in the conversation you know i think that order speaks to the voted self now granted it didn't say you should be able to see the counting process or see the machines but somebody very cleverly looked at the old expression when he is as sticks to see a long period this very strict statutory order because fucking is that well we're
6:46 pm
going to let you in but you're not going to seat well we all know you want to see now with all due respect that's technically not a violation of this they had to go back and clear up and say can we get a more definitive statement as to what observing means but come on we're on dulce now you know that's not what was meant for them to stand there and just by the the horizon but it was very clever and we'll see what happens next because the order really doesn't say what exactly are you allowed to see could they argue that just being there violates the security and the sanctity and realty of the world jump would jump in there because guys we're going to go ahead and go to the white house the president now coming into the room his statement prepared for reporters let's listen in. good evening i'd like to provide the american people with an update on our efforts to protect the
6:47 pm
integrity of our very important 2020 alexion if you count the illegal votes i easily win if you count the illegal votes they can try to steal. the election from us if you count the votes that came in late we're looking at them very strongly but a lot of votes came in late i've already decisively won many critical states including massive victories in florida iowa indiana ohio to name just a few we won these and many other victories despite historic election interference from big media big money and big tech as everybody so we won by historic numbers and the pollsters got it knowingly wrong they got it knowingly wrong we had polls it was so ridiculous and everybody knew it at the time there was no blue wave that they predicted they thought there was going to be a big blue wave that was false that was done for suppression reasons but instead
6:48 pm
there was a big red wave. and it's been properly acknowledged actually by the media they were i think very impressed but that was after the fact that doesn't do us any good we kept the senate despite having twice as many seats to defend as democrats and in a really much more competitive states we've. put in a fantastic with the senate i think we're very proud of what's happened there with many more seats to defend they spent almost $200000000.00 on senate races in south carolina and kentucky alone 2 races and. hundreds of millions of dollars overall against us at the national level our opponent's major donors were wall street bankers and special interests our major donors were police. officers farmers every day citizens yet for the 1st time ever we lost 0 races in the house and i
6:49 pm
was talking to kevin mccarthy today said he couldn't believe it sirrah races very unusual things 0 and actually won many new seats with i think many more in the way this was also the year of the republican woman more republican women were elected to congress than ever before that's a great achievement i won the largest share of non white voters of any republican in 60 years including historic numbers of latino african-american asian american and native american voters the largest ever in our history we grew our party by 4000000 voters the greatest turnout in republican party history. democrats are the party of the big donors the big media the big tech it seems and republicans have become the party of the american worker and that's what's happened and we're also i believe the party of inclusion as everyone now recognizes media
6:50 pm
polling was election interference in the truest sense of that word by powerful special interests these strangely phony polls have to comb phony polls fake polls were designed to keep our voters at home create the illusion of momentum for mr biden and diminish republicans ability to raise funds they were what's called suppression polls everyone knows that now and if we had never been used to the extent that it's been used in this last election to highlight just a few examples the day before election quinnipiac which was wrong on. every occasion that i know i had joe biden up by 5 points in florida. and they were off by 8.4 points and i won florida easily easily
6:51 pm
so. they had me losing florida by a lot and i ended up winning florida by a lot other than that they were very accurate and they had. him up 4 points in ohio and they were up by 12.2 points and he also won ohio great state of ohio where is the lead in the washington post said by depth 17 points in wisconsin and it was basically even though they were up by about 17 points and they knew that they're not stupid people they knew the suppression there are now on lee a few states yet to be decided in the presidential race. the voting apparatus of those states are run in all cases by democrats we were winning in all the key locations by a lot actually and then our numbers started miraculously getting whittled away in secret and they wouldn't allow the legally permissible observers we went to
6:52 pm
court in a couple of instances and we were able to get the observers put in and when the observers got there they wanted i'm 6070 feet away 80 feet 100 feet away or outside the building to observe people inside the building and we want to case a big case and we have others happen here a lot of lots of litigation even beyond era litigation is tremendous amount of litigation generally because of how unfair this process was and i predicted that i've been talking about mail in voting for a long time it's it's really destroyed our system it's a corrupt system and it makes people corrupt even if they aren't by nature but they become corrupt it's too easy. they want to find out how many votes they need and then they seem to be able to find them they wait and wait and then they find them and you see that on election night we were headed in vote in north carolina by
6:53 pm
a lot tremendous number of votes and we're still ahead by a lot but not as many because they finding ballots all of a sudden know we have some mail in ballots it's amazing how those mail in ballots are so one sided too i know that it's supposed to be to the advantage of the democrats but in all cases they're so one sided we were up by nearly 700000 votes in pennsylvania i won pennsylvania by a lot and that gets whittled down to i think they said now were up by 90000 votes and keep coming in coming in kemi they find them all over and they don't want to have any observers although we want to court case the judge said you have to have observers like what is enjoy and they're appealing actually they're appealing we want to case that we want people to watch and we want to observers and they're actually appealing which is sort of interesting i wonder why that appeal that all we want to do is have people watch as they do the vote tabulations like was in
6:54 pm
georgia i won by a lot a lot with a lead of over getting close to 300000 votes on election night in georgia and by the way got whittled down and now it's getting to be to a point where i go from winning by a lot. to perhaps being even down a little bit in georgia a pipe burst in a far away location totally unrelated to the location of what was happening and they stopped counting for 4 hours and a lot of things happened the election apparatus in georgia is run by democrats we also had margins of 300000 and michigan were way up and michigan won the state and in wisconsin we did likewise fantastically well. and that that will down every in every case they get whittled and. today we're on track to
6:55 pm
win arizona we only need to carry i guess 55 percent of the remaining vote 55 percent margins and that's a margin that we've significantly exceeded so we'll see what happens with that but we're on track to do ok in arizona. our goal is to defend the integrity of the election and will not allow the corruption to steal such an important election or any election for that matter and we can't allow silence of the anybody to silence the voters and manufacture results i've never had i've been doing a lot of public things for a long time i've never had anything that's been as inspirational by people calling talking sending things to us i've never. seen such a sense of love and such affection and such. spirit as i have seen for this people know what's happening and they see what's happening and it's before their eyes and there are many instances which will be reported very shortly this
6:56 pm
tremendous litigation going on and this is a case where they're trying to steal an election they're trying to rig an election and we can't let that happen detroit in philadelphia known as 2 of the most corrupt political places anywhere our country easily cannot be responsible. for engineering the outcome of a presidential race a very important presidential race in pennsylvania democrats have gotten to the state supreme court to try and ban our election observers and very strongly now we won the case but they're they're going forward they don't want anybody in there they don't want anybody watching them as they. count the ballots and i can't imagine why that is absolutely no legitimate reason why they would not want to have people watching this process because if it's straight. they would be he should be
6:57 pm
proud of it instead they're trying obviously to. commit fraud there's no question about that in philadelphia observers have been kept far away very far away so far that people are using binoculars to try and see and there's been tremendous problems because they put. paper in all of the window see you can see in and the people that are banned a very unhappy and become somewhat violent the 11th circuit ruled that in georgia the votes have been. in by election day that they should be in by election day and they weren't votes are coming in after election day and they had a ruling already that you have to have the votes in by election day to the best of my knowledge votes should be and by election day and they didn't do that democrat officials never believed they could win this election honestly i really believe that that's why they did the mail in ballots where this tremendous corruption and
6:58 pm
fraud going on that's why they mailed out tens of millions of unsolicited ballots without any verification measures whatsoever. and i've told everybody that these things would happen. because i've seen it happen because i watched a lot of different elections before they decided to go with this big massive election with tens of millions of ballots going out to everybody in many cases totally unsolicited this was unprecedented in american history this was by design despite years of claiming to care about the election security they refused to include any requirement to verify signatures identities or even determine whether they're eligible or inadmissible to vote and people are walking in that they have no idea they've just taken from. the numbers they're writing down things the workers and doing a lot of bad things and we have a lot of information coming in litigation that you'll see that will. shake even
6:59 pm
your people off and you've seen are all the officials overseeing the counting in pennsylvania and other key states are all part of a corrupt democrat machine that you've written about and for a long time you've been writing about the corrupt democrat regime i went to school there and i know a lot about it hasn't changed a long time ago and as in change has gotten worse in pennsylvania partisan democrats have allowed ballots in the state to be received 3 days after the election and we think much more than that. they're counting those without even postmarks or any identification whatsoever ringback so you don't have post launch you don't have identification there have been a number of disturbing the regulators across the nation our campaign has been denied access to observe any counting in detroit detroit is another place and. i wouldn't say has the best reputation for election integrity poll workers in
7:00 pm
michigan were duplicating ballots but when are observers attempted to challenge the activity those poll workers jumped in front of the volunteers to block their view so that they couldn't see what they were doing. and it became a little bit dangerous when major hub for counting ballots in detroit covered up the windows again with large pieces of cardboard and so they wanted to protect and block the counting area they didn't want anybody seeing the county even though these were observers who were legal observers it was supposed to be there in detroit there were hours of unexplained delay in delivering many of the votes for counting the final batch had not arrive until 4 in the morning and even though the polls close at 8 o'clock so they brought it in and the batches came in and nobody knew where they came from we've also been denied access to observe and critical places in georgia.
