and we're duplicating ballots but when our observers attempted to challenge activity those poll workers jumped in front of the volunteers to block their view so that they couldn't see what they were doing. and it became a little bit dangerous when major hub for counting ballots in detroit covered up the windows again with large pieces of cardboard and so they wanted to protect and block the counting area they didn't want anybody seeing the county even though these were observers who were legal observers it was supposed to be there in detroit there were hours of unexplained delay in delivering many of the votes for counting the final batch had not arrive until 4 in the morning and even though the polls close at 8 o'clock so they brought it in and the batches came in and nobody knew where they came from we've also been denied access to observe and critical places in georgia and multiple swing states counting was halted for hours and hours

on election night with the results withheld from major democrat run locations only to appear. later and they suddenly appeared and they all had the name biden and were just about all i think almost all they all had the name but none which is a little strange i challenge joe and every democrat to clarify that they only want legal votes because they talk about votes and i think they should use the word legal legal votes we want every legal vote counted and i want every legal vote counted we want openness and transparency no secret count rooms no mystery ballots no illegal votes being cast after election day you have election day and the laws are very strong and that you have an election day and they don't want the votes cast after election day and they want the process to be an honest one it's so important we want an honest election and we want an honest count. and we want honest people working back there because it's a very important so that's the way this country is going to win this way the united

states will win and we think we will win the election very easily with it there's going to be a lot of litigation because we have so much evidence so much proof and it's going to end up perhaps that the highest court in the land will see what we think they'll be a lot of litigation because we can't have an election stolen by it like this and i tell you i would i have been talking about this for many months with all of you and i've said very strongly that mail in ballots are going to end up being a disaster small elections were disaster small over is it and elections were disasters this is a large scale version and it's getting worse and worse every day we're hearing stories that are horror stories absolute horror stories and we can't let that happen to the united states of america it's not a question of who wins republican democrat joe myself we can't let that happen to

a stark contrast in the way he was trying to frame it that you the people are being disenfranchised by these powerful forces well on that note he also mention that it was wall street that was the major donor to the democrat party to the democrat ticket all across this country not just for joe biden he was talking about down ticket as well that you saw a lot of big corporations donating to the democrat ticket which i think in years past historically it was the other way around it has been he also really touched on the media issues he were afraid of the polls as being fake polls or suppression polls he talked about the media know we getting it wrong he says they didn't just get the polls wrong they knowingly got it wrong in order to try to hold down look at everything the president said tonight is kind of expected at this point it certainly seems like he is making the case to the american people that courts will have to intervene because they've got to set right and again this is not my words but his narrative to set right what has happened here in terms of big big money

the numbers and then robert tellen line oh thank you so much let's talk a little bit about what those numbers. we're talking when the numbers come in and here's where we stand tonight let's run through a couple of these things because really there are 5 states that remain outstanding at this point we thought they would be fewer than those by now but it's not let's start in nevada nevada has 6 electoral votes right now by a.p. projections that state alone because joe biden now sits at $264.00 electoral votes would be enough with 6 to get him right smack dab to 70 that's what he needs to secure the white house currently biden is in the lead by about 12000 votes he leads 49.5 percent to 48.5 percent only 76 percent reporting there the trump campaign filed a lawsuit in nevada today challenging some of those results saying they have proof that at least 10000 ballots were filed by people who don't live in the state they also brought forward a woman who says that she and her roommate went to vote and they were told that they had already voted clark county that's where las vegas is they say that they

have a bulk of mail ballots that will be processed over saturday or sunday but they say that 51000 ballots will be reported tomorrow morning at 10 am local time so depending on what those ballots say the numbers you're looking at right now will likely change by tomorrow georgia so we heard a lot about georgia tonight robert mentioned about living in georgia we're told that georgia would be done as of last night it is still not done as of tonight we were then told it would probably be done tonight it's still not done. the vote total there is razor thin 99 percent reporting in terms of the ballot count there president trump leads by 3 tenths of a percentage point 9049.5 percent to 49.2 percent 3 tenths of a percentage point it translates into about 14000 votes the campaign filed a lawsuit in georgia last night they were calling for a stop to counting claiming irregularities but a judge has denied that request georgia has 99 percent of all ballots counted if

biden picks up georgia which he may he may overtake trump in these last few hours. if he does he said to 80 north carolina now that is still not in it remains at 94 percent of the ballots counted their president has his largest lead there you heard him mention it during his news conference 50 percent to 48 percent he has a lead of about 80000 votes it is very unlikely he's going to be overtaken in north carolina but for some reason north carolina is still not done county pennsylvania this is where a lot of the legal challenges have taken place today we talked about it at length of the beginning so i won't recap that for you but as we have been telling you 88 percent of the ballots have been counted there the problem for the president is that right now he holds on to a very slim lead there 50 percent to 48 percent because of the fact that virtually all the ballots being counted right now are those mail in ballots it's very likely with the remaining ballots that biden will probably overtake the president in

pennsylvania that is what we're expecting at this point so there's a lot to talk about here in terms of what those numbers look like and it appears from the way the president sounded tonight he wasn't really fighting to say we're still going to make it instead it sounded like to an extent. you can translate it how you'd like. it sounded like he was conceding to some extent that he has been cheated out of the white house and he's not going to be able to overcome the word he used the shenanigans that have taken place depends on what side of the aisle that you personally said on how you perceived the man that walked into the white house press room so 'd that you know each other workshop test really yeah absolutely let's bring in steve malzberg ruben navarette guys thanks for joining us you know one of the things that the the president talked about tonight and i want to get your your thoughts on it he he hit on this issue of big media big money

playing on biden's timeline we all know it's a joke every night after night after that i sit there and i watch the big boards you know whether it's on c.n.n. or wherever it is and guess why the numbers more folks have come in in this state more votes have come in and that's standing guess what biden picked up votes trumps leaders evaporating what a surprise this is really a travesty and i got to say. a c.n.n. said after the president spoke of a bad think it was jake tapper but the panel they are sad day for the country he was spewing lie after lie undermining our democracy and one of the commentators said that the president as children a calling for violence in america trying to take the country down with them so that's that media coverage that skit that is obviously patently false but but since we're talking about the media here what you guys say is the actual role of the press in these elections i mean aren't we supposed to be the observers of the process because these days it does seem like the media wields so much power that it

could actually steer perception steer the public's and ultimately steer the election itself then. yeah absolutely you know we're supposed to be in the media the observer the impartial observer we're not opposed to the influence or in this case we've moved even past that to become the decider in fact that we're in the arena is full combatants this is something almost unique to the presidency for the last 4 years we've seen this over and over again every time trump went after c.n.n. directly if you're one of the people who's paycheck says c.n.n. on it and you have we were coats and ties it's a c.n.n. i want you took that personally and it became a war between the jim acosta that c.n.n. jake tapper's at c.n.n. versus the president this has become way too personal for members of my profession there's no question i'm in the uncomfortable position of being a number trump or somebody who thinks the president should be defeated hope see is defeated and yet finds himself very sympathetic to the president when he complains

about the media because steve is right my friend steve is right the president has got an unfair shake from this media and i think it's all people out there like me who don't think don't trust in a particular good president but we hate it that we have to defend the guy against an unfair media i've been in their shoes i want to i want to add value a lot of people are going to are you know you do the show in the press and so i am . sure this will come up fox news calling arizona on the night of the election with less than one percent of the votes counted now listen it may hold and ultimately if it does then fox says see we knew from the beginning our decision does made the right call but it's so interesting to see that c.n.n. and even in d.c. animus in d.c. have not called arizona because they say it's too close the trunk campaign says they have enough votes to overtake it maybe they do maybe they don't is this whole process of projecting especially when you're that far away it's just i know it's shocking to a lot of people and a lot of conservatives seem to be very angry at the idea that fox maybe made this

call prematurely while at the same time it took fox all night to call texas that trump by right one by over a 1000000 votes and let me let me add to that real quickly over a 1000000 votes and let me let me add to that real quickly is that the complaint was that that because fox called it so early with less than one percent in they the trump camp called arizona and said that you were steering the election by making that call they say that people stayed home because of that call what do you think steve. well i think that they don't call the state until the polls close so i'm not really sure who would have stayed home at that point i think they're talking about you know voters that i think they're talking about voters in california who are in a different time are ok yeah well well of course caliph and he was going to win california anyway but to write but i was on election night and i went on with the panel shortly after this happened then and the report fox it themselves said that

they got a call from the trump people saying that they were not happy with what we fox did but to me i think there's too much being made about it although you know they're looking at the head of the election bureau and they're saying he contributed to this democratic candidate he's a democrat i don't know if that's true or not and i don't know that it matters in the long run it's not going to matter because the polls were. close but i you know overall we've seen this shift in fox absolutely we've seen it but they still are the at least giving trump the most benefit of the doubt of all the cable networks that just you know call him an outright liar and disruptor and hits the country and his you know every name in the book ok do you think this is the future of media and what we've seen the last 4 i don't know i wrote earlier you said that we've seen this in the last 4 years i would say the divisiveness really was exacerbated during the obama administration that was the 1st time i think we've saw media actually

start to call a sitting president any names but in any case should the media be less biased like it used to be or have we kind of crossed the rubicon and we're never going back and this is the way it is now. it is hard to imagine going back to the way it used to be i would go back even further i say this one off the the train went off the tracks during the clinton administration in the early one $990.00 s. during clinton during bush during obama the media decided it wanted to be a player it was tired of being a spectator they wanted to see the table they wanted to become involved and become a participant a combatant and it shouldn't be that's not where it belongs and it caused a lot of trouble and a lot of problems when it's at the table as this question about fox news it's worth saying this is actually been happening for a long long time my friends who are conservatives do not like fox news they have not like fox news for 4 or 5 years the reason you have a surge in broadcast media like sinclair and others you have real people putting real money and to make a run at fox news on the far right because they think fox news is way too corporate

and has become way too hard on the president and they didn't help matters when chris wallace of fox news became one of the antagonistic figures by fighting trump as a debate as well for all to see so clearly this is a bigger soap opera between conservatism fox news i don't think that relationship ever gets repaired yeah i'd agree that it's probably a lot of it started with. clinton a lot of it started with fox news by the way of turning this into a sport but both of you we have about 2 minutes left so a minute each want to get this real quick the president made the statement tonight he said the media know we only got it wrong talking about the polls and this is the 2nd time they said they fix their polling it's not a question of polling but to the to the point that a lot of people who are supporters of the president will believe will start with you ruben do you think that many of those supporters believe the media was intentionally trying to set up a scenario to dissuade them from going out and voting and do they think the fix is in from all these different corporate powers not just media but big media big money

big tech. quickly yes they believe the fix is in they hate the media they hate big tech they hate hollywood they believe all those who were out to get them and work against them and they're not completely wrong to be honest right but on the other hand i think you got to be careful with this if the poll said by going to run away with it it also had the effect of suppressing the biden vote because if i'm a biden voter i decide i'm not really going to go because to vote because it is a matter who's going to win anyway so you've got to be careful how you play this out unless they were counting on steve the early votes in the mail which in which case it would have worked. you know that's true but as far as the pollsters go you know there are a lot of unhappy and then broke democratic senatorial candidates that were encouraged by the polls their donors were encouraged by the polls so to pony up look ahead 8 points 9.5 points 10 points 12 points and these people all lost so the polls got it wrong all the way around all that but what i love most very quickly arizona when they talk about the protests at the arizona voting by counting vote
