on the edge of their seats attention is focused on a handful of states and we're still waiting for a crucial results in nevada pennsylvania to where the democrats hold a tight lead. as it stands this is how it looks joe biden has 264 electors if you include arizona which some do say is still too early to call but if you do assume he is one biden needs only 6 more electoral votes to achieve the 270 required for victory donald trump on the other hand currently stands at 214 with that said it remains a very tight race gaps closed in different battleground states on saturday the former vice president is leading in nevada and is less than one percent ahead in pennsylvania and georgia biden has taken the lead by 0 point one percent with 99 percent of the ballots counted as i mentioned the margins are so tight there that a recount is already set to happen a democrat hasn't won that state in decades while in north carolina the race is

also too close to call we go live now to our new york correspondent kaleb moppin kaleb hello we've been hearing fine margins in these pivotal states left to declare what's the latest will ballots are still being counted in arizona in pennsylvania in georgia and in nevada but in all of those states biden does have the lead though it is a razor thin lead it's very very close now we're hearing a lot of optimism coming from democrats at this point take a listen i wish we weren't wearing masher so we could see how exciting it is to come before you today with joe biden having the tremendous mandate that he has and that. pretty soon the hyphen will be gone from vice president to president elect joe biden now at this point donald trump is not sharing these sentiments he has taken to social media to reiterate some of the concerns he

expressed on thursday evening when he addressed the country donald trump thinks there is some foul play involved take a listen. joe biden should not wrongfully claim the office of president i could make that claim also legal proceedings are just now beginning i had such a big lead in all of these states late into election night only to see the leads miraculously disappear as the days went by perhaps these leads will return as our legal proceedings move forward. now it's also important to note that donald trump has spoken up on social media about georgia and the fact that in georgia there were 9000 ballots cast by members of the u.s. military that he argues may be unaccounted for he's asking for answers in regards to these military ballots cast absentee in the state of florida furthermore i'm

sorry in the state of georgia that furthermore we are at the point where donald trump has also raised concerns about how the vote counting was done in the states of pennsylvania and in michigan in michigan there is actually a member of the state legislature who has filed for an investigation into how the votes were counted donald trump argues that there were not proper observers on hand in in michigan and in pennsylvania to watch the votes be counted and he intends to file legal challenges against the results if joe biden is certified there will be legal challenges this is what we heard from the republican national committee echoing trump's concerns we intend to ensure that every little fool votes and has their vote counted in a cool dence with the law that observers are granted the access they achieve on the state law and that any irregularities that have occurred with the by malicious intent or incompetence fully investigated to the fullest extent allowed to under

the law. now joe biden his campaign seems to be quite optimistic they are using words like on the road to a victory on the way to a win they have not yet declared victory but they argue they are clearly on their way to a victory now when dealing with donald trump's concerns the biden campaign has used some rather spicy language to talk about trump and the possibility of him not leaving office in a friendly manner the american people will decide this election and the united states government is specifically capable of school bus passes out of the white house now at this point biden is scheduled to speak to the country the country is waiting to hear from joe biden he should be speaking within the next few hours addressing the country people are anxious to see if he will indeed declare victory or what exactly joe biden has to say but at the moment things look pretty
