i mean given in clinical trial more also on my part we understood the layperson would think that the vaccines are not what we double and that i think it shows they might not understand that this is only based on maybe a bit in data not in bad if you can see data sets and hence that also requires you to go out data and explain things you know that's part of the public engagement exercise which i'm sure the government will be doing but also i'm sure that other lot of health workers who are going to be the 1st in line to get the shot who will probably have a little bit confused on question so if we can see etc because that data is not in the public domain not to leave it there good to get your thoughts that is talk to a former president of the international satiation of bioethics speaking to miss life from india thank you thank you for watching take just on half time here in moscow but back again at the top of the.

reported 23 hour lockdown of britain's notorious belmarsh prison a songe and his lawyers continue to fight against his extradition to the united states in london courts a son faces multiple indictments in the u.s. including the chilling charge of violating the espionage act which carries up to over 100 years in prison if convicted sons of supporters which include everyone from whistleblower an american hero edward snowden to famed journalist john pilger along with over 7600 others have signed a letter asking president donald trump to pardon the son and while no one will know until january 20th that these efforts to gain a pardon will be successful or all for naught one thing we do know for certain is that the u.s. government's prosecution of julian assange just looking more and more like persecution with every passing day minute now or especially in light of a recently leaked audio recording brought to light by james o'keefe and project vera toss of all places real clear politics reports that quote this recording of

a 2011 phone call between julia songe and clinton state department attorney general cliff johnson highlights claims made by wiki leaks for years that a rogue a former 'd employee was responsible for leaking classified state department cables without the necessary redactions or other precautions wiki leaks normally employees . my friends this is julian a son jasc in the state department to help him mitigate the risks of releasing classified information without redaction this is julian assange is telling the state department to warn anyone who could be hurt from this action this is julian assange. being a good journalist the good journalist he always claimed he was and my friends finally this is the u.s. state department under hillary clinton apparently. doing nothing. let all that sink in for a 2nd as we start watching the hawks. if you want to know what's going on

a cd. you want to see. him so you like see see the prizes you always stay i'll see you roll strikes mass graves same day slaves systemic deception is to late show what should be so called window deal as. well going to watching the hawks. and i'm of the. let's start with this incredible audio of an alleged official phone call between joining us on john the u.s. state department attorney back in 2000 the small excerpt from that over 75 minute phone conversation in which the u.s. state department attorney questions the songe about the former employee who was songe claims as attempting to release the over 250000 unredacted cables. to the material that wiki leaks. yes that's.

everything that you have is that right. and. that's. what did that mean that. the ability without your. rockery. if they wanted it that's correct. there's no attempt to. protection program and i was tempted. to write. haven't they for people. all right joining us now is taylor hudak a journalist and editor with active years in the munich taylor thank you so much for joining us you've you've followed the julian assange saga hand his extradition trial very closely over the last few years what makes the release of this alleged

conversation between the u.s. state department so shocking and so vitally important. yes this is an extraordinary scene as you can't development in this case what we see here is that it's julian astonished extensive measures to ensure that there was harm reduction and that no one was put at risk as a result of the release of these cables songe called. harrison call to the state department and they returned a phone call and this all is between chile and his son and an attorney with the state department under hillary clinton spoke with cliff johnson and they told him that they would like for the state department their safety punchers and. a warning or some sort of notification to do in your top shape for a former wiki leaks employee to knott's that circulates this will creation of the file. and what is the current state of the

a songe extradition hearings we know back here in america there's a lot of big news about kobe in 1000 vaccines obviously the transition of power is going on but could this newly released audio have any impact on the hearings and make a quake in the national media here. well julian it's on his in belmarsh prison right now it's one of the u.k.'s work prison it's actually referred to as the u.k.'s guantanamo bay he's there right now in her working conditions and the judge is expected to make her final decision actually based in on a january 4th on the 21 so we're very hopeful that president truck was going to issue a pardon to children in a sauna because there is no better way to stand up to the gate the democratic establishment in the pool of reckoning telegin community who has been undermining president term presidency for the past 4 years and issue a pardon to during a sponge. i do know is there been any response from the from the u.s.
6:38 am
state department or any of the officials but either were involved in this phone call or were privy to it to the release of this conversation and how does this strange the official story line about assad and the release of those cables back in point 2011. exactly it's further substantiate the fact that it's gone took a census measured again to ensure that there was our reception and it also shows that this prosecution based on our law in fact was chris welch and other support websites being under attack with able to wiki leaks be able to get it is only julian to be held accountable you have to ask yourself why if you got in a government significant pardoning julian it's on to not the other organizations that all this information 1st in fact were very careless with circulation of the location to this file and don't report it well it was david lee and luke harding of
6:39 am
the guardian published the encryption key in the top where it would lead to public acceptance sensitive cables why are they not being held accountable why is the focus on chilliness onto not because this is a selective prosecution any political party. failed. do you think that the the source that actually delivered this most recent information is going to cause a bit of a darkness on on it because james o'keefe and project veritas they've been known for manipulating audio and video to fit their own narrative and you know that that's come out in the past about some of the stories they produced how do you think this is going to go about in terms of trust given the less than stellar background project veritas has in releasing information. i think it's important not to focus on where this comes on but focus on the content of this call this isn't an edited phone call i listen to it about 3 times it's the wealth that we 5 minutes he was here it is your day that silliness times when it's purse distant insistent on
6:40 am
the u.s. state department taking measures to ensure that people were not harmed prosecution has been based on a lie based on this false so dishonest was there let's get into that with actions of names and threats retention harmful information so i would tell people who are skeptical there is no reason to be skeptical don't worry about where i'm strong this is an edited call and it needs to be taken very seriously and we need to ask questions about why our u.s. government is civically targeting one individual i want to also ask you what is the you you mentioned that the judge is ready to make a decision on this extradition which i you know has gone on now for quite some time what is this the what is the feeling if you know the firm you know with or without a pardon from trump which which i think is still kind of a long shot given trump's past comments in recent years about wiki leaks and the songs one of the songs is defense team what are they saying right now in terms of
6:41 am
their chances with this upcoming decision. well if you look at the judge's history 96 percent. rates an extradition so it seems likely that will unfortunately however i believe that the defense is going to appeal the decision in will only if. the judge does grant the exhibition this could be one on if you saw this with or he loves case he would be a citizen and would speak to the united states he was able to meet us extradition on he also would hope that would be the case here but a part of it is really really important and it would do wonders for an only child. not in his family but also it would be the theory ostend legacy for president charles he's been heavily criticized for being anti privacy 1st amendment and really this latest hot play is this part and so i'm calling on everybody please
6:42 am
send messages to present on social media to issue an article. or you bar is now out . and he said to you it was on paper you are only massaging now that he's gone there is even more hope so i encourage people to put pressure on the president in a polite way of course to issue a pardon it's your right to say it's really innocent it's like the clock seems to be running down pretty quickly when it comes to join us on a perch and on a pardon for him with president trump what we've seen is that he has pardoned friends he's looking to pardon family there's a list of people that have been acknowledged that are probably going to be pardoned within the next few days julio sollars doesn't necessarily reach the ticker tape of that list i think that for some people you know the argument is why why why now why would he move these people up. looking at the fact that he's really pardoning
6:43 am
friends and family people have been a part of the trump organization things like that what can be said from advocates of julia songes to the president specifically in trying to move the needle forward on this considering time is running so short right now. well jillian assigned exposed the deep state present sharpest looking up against the state humorous times like i said earlier there is no better way to stand up to be corrupt establishment and these and these which are the democratic establishment is well it's hard it is done and there are people on both sides to be political aisle who are in favor of this hearted many celebrities as well are calling the president part of dishonest in your pocket want to make their way here that you can't he just recently met with meals else or that you went special repertoire torture meals melzer issued a statement that you make government about a year ago that is santelli torture victim and u.k.
6:44 am
government they also interest this appropriately so if you can and just met with his nelson are announced therefore you can please are now requesting great video meeting with children of the sonship when they call in unprecedented x. . it is a serious threat to press freedoms in the 1st amendment it's pretty it's an incredible case when you really look at it and the entire julius on saga it's only going to get more and more interesting as we move forward i want to thank you for your reporting on this issue and for joining us today once again taylor thank you very much for your work thank you. all right my friends as we go to break remember that you can also start watching the hawks on demand through the brand new portable t.v. app which is available on all platforms coming up my co-host my amazing co-host moved across brings us an in-depth look at the call to outright abolished child protective services here in the u.s. you do not want to miss the stories or to stay tuned to watchable.

of its residents one group in particular russian wives of syrian man feels a little. like a day when you. look up to its english national just like its. child welfare agencies across america are tasked with protecting in danger children and removing them from homes where their safety is at risk. but that mission and well meaning calls walked into the criminalization of poverty and discrimination against black families here i dig deeper as the cries of advocates from black families matter to reunify black kids and their parents and raise awareness of a devastating system take a listen. black families matter might not take over twitter like the black lives
6:48 am
matter hash tag the crowds for black families matter may not be as large but their voices and their fight is just as important the administration for children's services a.c.s. is filled with bureaucracy red tape case workers and scores of people ready to remove primarily black children from their homes an allegation that appear isn't caring for their children properly is typically the trigger in a recent mother jones investigative report joyce mcmillan a black mom in new york chronicled her 20 year struggle to keep her 2 children in her care in that millan's case she called domestic abuse hotline after experiencing abuse at the hands of her partner she thought couples counseling or transitional housing would be the next step instead social workers took her son despite the fact that he'd never been abused and showed no signs of neglect in fact less than 15 percent of children in foster care are there because of physical abuse in the managing attorney at the family defense practice bronx defenders a public defender nonprofit summed it up like this with the vast majority of
6:49 am
parents who have children in the foster system their children are there not because they've done something abusive or home full or abandoned them they're there because of related stressors to poverty and the challenges are real for stars parents on trial for child neglect or abuse lack legal protections and representation due process protections are thrown out of the window of the children separated from their parents and placed in foster care 25 percent of foster youth will have interactions with the criminal justice system within 2 years of leaving care and nationally according to the u.s. department of health and human services nearly a quarter of children in foster care are black while black children make up less than 14 percent of the total popular. in urban areas like new york city things are even more stark in 201922 percent of kids in new york city were black but the 56 percent of children that were removed from their families and put in foster care were black and parents feel powerless caseworkers can enter their homes with no warrant children can be removed without
6:50 am
a court order and criminalization of poverty funnels the cycle in many cases family services organizations get it all wrong in testimony in new york a.c.s. revealed that around 20 to 25 percent of emergency removals in 2018 were borst once they went to court. well that was a powerful report thank you for doing that as you know it's interesting when you look at the real no real black lives matter but when you brought up this group black families matter it's interesting just how important. it is and this is a group that has been organizing now for close to a decade even though they're not necessarily receiving national attention and in large part it was developed by moms like mrs mr mcmillan in this story who had their children removed at no fault of their own without any types of recourse largely because once they entered the system it is very very difficult to get out a don't think that most people realize that these individuals are not given the
6:51 am
basic rights that most people who actually get arrested are given they're not read miranda rights their children can be removed based on one person's sole decision and it's really frustrating because even when they're giving court appoint appointed attorneys these attorneys have no background in family court or family law so these parents are trying to figure their way out through the system that was designed basically to penalize them and them what's worse too is or tell me too is that the caseworkers are basically a judge jury and for lack of a better term executioner when it comes to these kind of cases that there's not really a peer review group to look at who's doing water or anything like that absolutely not in the frustration here and i think that comes from a lot of families in the article at least was that they were referring this basically having their children moved as if they had gotten the death penalty these are people whose children are removed to the likelihood if you're a black child removed from your family a reunification is near 0 so they are fighting they are fighting against this and as noted these caseworkers are people who are making split 2nd decisions based not
6:52 am
on the fact that a child was abused there are no signs of bruises there anything like that largely they're making this decision based on what they consider this of the household so if you're a parent in poverty you might not always have a ton of food in your house there may be something in your refrigerator that has gone bad there may be some old furniture there they are making these decisions. based on typically a euro centric idea of what it takes to have a family that is holistic and those decisions are ones that have really put black families at risk the support for the euro centric idea of what is original rather successful family the statistics of this really blows my mind when you really get into the boats and bolts of this war and i have to ask why are we seeing this so focused on the black community and communities of poverty and things like that across the country will so it's actually black and brown communities holistically but we're seeing this focus and it happened it started to happen in the late eighty's early ninety's with the crack epidemic so a lot of different advocacy groups decided that it would be best for them to start really cracking down on people who had drug addiction problems so we saw in large
6:53 am
cities detroit chicago new york l.a. all of these different court reporters and social workers to go in and basically decide that because the pierrot was addicted to something that now these children needed to be removed or because the parent was a suspected of being addicted to something the children need to be removed but the numbers are ridiculous we're talking in large cities where you might have 56 percent of black children being taken outside of the home and if you are an african-american child the chances of you ever being reunited with that family is slim to none and then a foster care system you're never really adopted so it becomes a vicious cycle you talk about a pipeline to prison that's exactly what you're creating with this government needs to be rebuilt. with nearly a 1000000 pieces of debris circling our atmosphere experts have long been concerned about the threat it poses on missions satellites and even the international space station so now the european space agency is announcing an ambitious plan to capture
