the us congress members from the house on a s. show and jerry mcnerney sent letters to the presidents of comcast 80 and t. verizon cox dish and other cable and satellite companies implying that they should either stop carrying fox news want to american news network and newsmax or pressure them to change their coverage in the letters the representatives at show and make mcnerney right to our knowledge the cable satellite and over the top companies that disseminate these media outlets to american viewers have done nothing in response to the misinformation aired by these outlets this political political pressure from capitol hill comes on the eve of february 24th house and energy commerce committee's hearings on traditional media's role in promoting this information and extremism. apparently congress feels it's time to go after cable and satellite

a theory flipper reflow that's kind of how i look at it too like yes. store a t. and t. or dish network or whatever of these companies if they decide to not carry a channel that they have every right to do that they're a business they can do that they say you know what i don't like fox news i don't like amazon b c anymore you know that with these channels i don't care even what they can do that that's their right however congress putting pressure on is one of those things that i do disagree the same way i did disagree with when congress was putting pressure on social media companies well known and i guess i do say it's up to facebook and twitter to decide who they want on their platform and i disagree with a lot of the times when they censor people on the left and the right because i believe in the free sharing of ideas and thoughts i don't think we should be you know disallowing people from sharing them but at the same time i do understand it's their right to melt congress stepping in and doing this is absolutely ridiculous because it shows me that congress once again doesn't understand how these things work like you said these days and the cable provider does not talk with h.b.o. and says hey h.b.o.

what you put in on that and when you know how it goes also the big difference between cable and local channels is they do have a little bit more leverage in terms of their content in terms of you know the language that hughes and things like that but these are these conversations are done with cable news executives they're not done with the cable companies themselves they have absolutely no leverage over that and even when it comes to the cable news executives it's up to honestly market pressure to decide whether or not they take things off as long as people are watching it they're going to keep producing it exactly and look fox news issued a statement they declared for individual members of congress congress to highlight political speech they do not like and demand cable distributors engage in a viewpoint discrimination viewpoint discrimination sets a terrible precedent actually it's sad that this thing is making me agree with things that fox news says but i do i do agree with that because where does it stop like if you don't like the news that you know even if it's garbage news if you don't like the news that one station is putting out do then turn around and say you know what cinemax i don't like that fictional program you put. because it says

something bad about the republicans or says something bad about democrats or says something bad about a political figure that i like you know when you get into that world of censorship the only way to really make this work is to call out the consumers who actually watch this and for them to change their minds but also to call out the ads these these these shows don't get any air space if they don't have the advice to keep them on and let's be realistic if you really want americans to stop falling for this information or fake or all the rest you know actually invest in the education system of this country actually invest in getting people true ability to raise themself up out of the muck or raise them so far up economically because that's actually how you get a better import in form populace that's not so easy to fall for these don't go after the messenger go after and try to educate and help the people who are receiving this information to be able to tell the difference between the good the bad and were very far from the age of enlightenment or. the us president joe biden hasn't had the easiest go of it his electoral win was overshadowed by conspiracy

the question itself it's a dog whistle but the bigger issue is biden's response biden went on to say quote if you ever want to know where the american public is look at the money being spent on advertising did you ever 5 years ago think that every 2nd or 3rd ad out of 5 or 6 would turn out biracial couples. kind of cringe for biting racial progress the thing interracial couples on t.v. it cheerios laundry detergent car commercials you name it. forget the fact that our blood lies in the streets of this country that housing discrimination runs rampant that having a black sounding name often gets your resume throw in the trash that blacks are dying at rates up to 5 times more than whites from code 19 and even though there is a vaccine we don't have access to it forget the very system of democracy that put by the office was threatened because black people dared exercise their right to vote and did so in a mess but for biden t.v.
