are you going to do. and what i'm curious to is you know look there's been a lot of heavy calls in our group that we need unions in the news business and we need you know the existing unions need to be brought up and things like that what has been the union response to these massive layoffs well it depends on the media company but when we're talking about huff post and what we're seeing with busby the unions have been very serious about trying to issue some sort of protection so they work very hard to make sure that workers aren't just you know thrown thrown out at the door so that you they have initiated severance pay but they're also working towards again making this a more equitable workplace for those who still happen to be there because one of the issues that happened but also at huff post was that minority writers and minorities who are also in productions that were necessarily getting their top billing they were getting pay equity at all so that's $1.00 of the things that they were surprising to hear that word you know 2 companies that kind of pride themselves on the on the liberal on a very progressive belief system but they don't practice with that

taylor as a trainer advocate writer and line service provider what are your thoughts on the aggressive bills aimed at limiting trans women and girls participating in sports and what do you think this signals why is the right criminalizing gender. you know that i feel like through history there's always been somebody that's been on there and of conservatives i call on christian republicans. and at this point there's no evidence to back up what they're fighting against there's not this mad domination of sports by trans individuals never has been it's very rare that someone of trans experience is even in in the higher levels of competition where they're winning yet this is the target. so they're in essence in my mind saying it's ok for us to be in sports as long as we don't win which seems ridiculous to. i'm not sure where this comes from.

but i know that on the local level the facts are being thrown out because like you said all those states that have bills in front of the legislature to limit restrict access to public spaces that are or what they define as women as well as competition in sports under title 9. these are going to have far reaching you know effects and we saw this start over in the united kingdom where the court system actually is now involved in gender affirming care for people under i believe at 13 and so in order to have puberty blockers or any kind of medication intervention or surgery it has to be deemed necessary by a court now not just a doctor or a health care. you know you've spoken about the need for expanded access to hormone

therapy gender affirming care and puberty blocking medication particularly for the new there is a ton of angsty on this topic because you've got a lot of naysayers who don't believe young people have the ability to decide their gender or they're just confused or whatever they're going through a phase what do you say to them and why is advancing access to hormone therapy in puberty medication such a priority and why is it important for trans youth in order to get these things and to have access to these very important procedures. i mean 1st and foremost gender affirming care is life or death you take that away from someone that so young going through 'd gender identity conflict and you will see the suicide rates go through the roof. you know at this point it it boggles my mind it really really does. for me personally and

how i see it is that gender affirming care to young aids prevents. you know all of what we're facing now to go on this care as a you to transition living your truth you don't masculinized you don't go through these processes that 18 if they pass these laws you would have to undo them all. and with title not mine it almost puts trans youth in a situation of being outed because so many lives still they go to school their schoolmates do not know what's between their legs and i would i pose this to the op the audience the viewers do you look between your legs to know who you are i've never done that and what happens if you are in an accident your lower extremities were gone jews that no longer have a gender you know if if i took your genitals away you wouldn't automatically

think you're a woman if i put your genitals on to me she wouldn't automatically be a man no one agenda five's who they are by what's between their legs and you know who's going to do this litmus test you know if if i'm in a hospital have gone through a rape and i'm saying i want same sex nurses while what if i think there's something and i'm wrong in my going to make them drop trial and show me their genitalia and in my own expert on genitalia to know if it's genitalia from birth or from a doctor's office or great point really great point and tailor e-mail that by the administration is no doubt a lot more friendly than the trouble ministration what do you think they're going far enough you know the top administration appointed judges that had an title to miti bents they allowed for religion to be used on the basis to discriminate against the community and even gave adoption agencies the green light to deny l g
