on our to america i. i. thanks for joining us you know recently the u.s. military has been using drones more and more to conduct overseas operations especially in operations which involve killing terrorism fast backs and foreign countries so much so that even a bases here at home are being converted from housing military airplanes to full drone bases well now the white house has ordered a review of a u.s. policy and the pentagon has confirmed confirmed president biden has placed new restrictions on commando raids and a drone strikes but why if the use of drone technology is guaranteeing the same outcome while reducing the risk on a dangerous of u.s. military personnel what discussed this review and as if and if it's necessary we bring it mike israel president and c.e.o. of evans and michael maloof a former pentagon official thank you for joining me gentlemen. we can thank you i
8:31 am
want to actually start with you mr israel when we look at how have drones actually added a new dynamic to warfare and conflicts. it's an evolution. well 1st you know going back even before world war 2. period for serious instruments cold cold bombers that really would call it. could be anything. it will you know literally just like no one. at the point where it really is. you go to the dual or gets in the way that would. surely. you know. they're right well then that's what i would bring you in on this one mr miller because we're looking at what's going on right now and obviously a new type of war for technology is obviously welcome what are some of these new policies that are being introduced do you think by the by the ministration are they
8:32 am
justified and is it fair considering where they see us right now the only ones talking about it. well primarily the u.s. has only one talking about it because the biden administration wanted to call wanted to tighten up once again on the so-called rules of engagement the trumpet ministration was much more relaxed it's it's looks like it's going to revert back to the old obama years when where drones really came into their own under the under the obama administration and the long distance killing of terrorists and what they what they are perceiving is that the decisions to use them will once again revert back to the national security council and not to the individual commanders on the ground. as under the trumpet ministration nor does they have to report what the. rate of casualties were whether it's bad guys or are
8:33 am
collateral damage of innocent civilians so by the ministration seems to be reverting back to the reporting requirement once again and tightening up on the rules of engagement and. in one sense it's good in terms of the use of drones in a counterterrorism format checkley when you're dealing with controllers who who are residing in the data and guiding these drones half a world away and and based upon rather limited intelligence and and that's the problem is is the how good is your intelligence going to be and determining whether or not to engage a drone and in fact 1111. hit under under biden in syria was just called off even though that was with manned bombers because one site had they could see it from the air
8:34 am
a lot of civilians so in that the end that was due to people who were. flying over the area and they sense that that was the case not someone half a world away well and that's the thing mr is there when you're looking at what we're talking about engagement with the drums you know should there actually be a unified rule amongst all should there be actually rules that we all agree on every country that's using drone warfare and how what should what can be and what cannot be done you know it's a little hard to see how you could get out of it so it was a little bit. but i mean you do kill somebody who is in some sense but. it is some sense is like you know we criminal. i just don't know how. cool is or countries could get together and agree on a set of. government is kinds of situations well and one of the countries that's
8:35 am
really emerged as turkey and mr maloof you know they would turkey's emerge as one of the premier makers of armed drones president wanted just an outside a arabia is actually going to seek to buy these armed drones from turkey which is funny we know the history between turkey and saudi arabia has not been well since hamas is murder in this case is this going to be what does it mean when a country like turkey is becoming one of the main sources for drones for around the world what does that give them an advantage. well they're trying to develop their their military industry independent of the united states now ironically turkey got its drone technology from israel years ago but they've been able to enhance and they're developing their own markets for it and they're actually exporting them as you point out to saudi arabia and they were also heavily used by our surprise john in the. region so it's a it's a form of money making for for them and i'm sure turkey will be looking to to
8:36 am
undersell the united states and other exporting countries of drones so that they can corner the market it would be to their benefit because their common me. in the toilet basically well i really am scared of a country that develops their economy based on military i mean look at offending united states i mean we obviously roll a lot with the military industrial car they want to get that they want to become more independent i want to become more independent up of nato and the united states and the fact that the united states took them off the f. $35.00 and they're looking for alternative ways and i might add that these drones you're talking about are that counterterrorism level there are these drones also will be used they're being experimented with it and i hypersonic way but also to accompany the new f. 35 s. so and also upcoming 6th generation and this is something even the u.k. is working on and looking at drones in place using fighter aircraft well and then i
8:37 am
go back to the point of the fact that you just said it's like you have don't have the intelligence of the people on the ground this is being operated for a 100 well there's so much that could go wrong with this picture when you have this lack of control you know policy and laws mr by far only meant something to people who abide by them terrorists or militias guess what they don't really abide by laws so even this in fact you know how effective are about the drone warfare in syria particularly should the u.s. be worried about these rogue groups gaming control of drones and just basically going wherever they want because they're not going to buy by any rules we put it. well if you're asking me yes that they they are not going to abide they are use a number of actually use isis has actually used it against our troops and also against syrian troops already that they're very crude but they're effective and they've got used them in a rock so you know they're going to continuous no they're not going to abide by any international standard and i mean that's that's ludicrous and i would say that
8:38 am
other countries that have that capability similarly will not abide by any international standard well and mr is a member again for the last promise because technology where are you having issues right here what are the chances of failure in technology and between the communication between the drone and the base that's ordering it and is that something that could actually cause a major problem in communication between 2 countries who might already be at war with each other. mr israel. out of this group i mean i think there's always the risk of that i think. it would you would think probably in favor of drills as it is the cost of failure is likely less than if you could. but certainly you want to use you know because. lillian lowered your and. that's it because just goes with
8:39 am
it goes with the use of that don't you were once again technology but as we're talking right now mr on and we're having technical issues with your feet it's all about you know how strong our signal was and that's what scares me when you have things that from the air and man holding bombs you hope the technology is stronger than the signal that we have for it to have had but we'll have you back on thank you so much for joining us. you know if but. if you are like me parent during the times of the coronavirus things have been canceled when we return we're actually going to talk about a new museum a new art project that your kids will actually be excited to go see after the break . and.

banks figure out new ways to rip people off they get caught and what they do is they change the law in this new laws and if there is any problems they extend and pretend they just make the church longer and the coupons lower but now the looks like that big american game of fraud which is the american business model is coming to an end. is you'll media a reflection of reality. in a world transformed. what will make you feel safe. isolation community. are you going the right way or are you being led. by. what is true what is faith. in the world corrupted you need to descend. to join us

in the depths. or a maybe in the shallowness. americans love. this was a fundamental part of how our political leadership and our country at large understood the bargain you get a hope and then you know rebel right that's the things you don't revolt if you have a stake in the system. and think about the longer deeper history housings men in the united states not just that question of the american dream but the bigger question of who the dream is for.

you know there is a growing problem arriving in northern california thriving abandoned vehicles which was piling up but why didn't the city taking action all depends on who you ask are to correspond at the toughest week takes a look into what residents and the city are saying. when you think of oakland you could picture the bay area and expensive homes or you could think of the area's surging homeless population well according to some residents both of those realities are actually affecting the city's growing eyesore of abandoned cars oakland residents are speaking out about more abandoned vehicles turning up around town and according to some despite paying their taxes the city is doing little to help overcome the issue kesha henderson a local resident says these cars aren't just accumulating in homeless encampment she says a car was left in her own driveway
8:43 am
a neighborhood crime and prevention council says it's not just an eyesore but that these vehicles are what they call track cars storing drugs and firearms other cars are stripped down by the homeless population as they use them as shelter bowl beautification projects spearheaded by residents are in the making some claim the city isn't quick to tow these vehicles since it's an east oakland some residents say the issue isn't happening on the other side of town all residents say can take up to 3 months for the city to take action city representatives say crimes are cleaned up within 25 days the city of oakland has a 311 line for clean up services including abandoned vehicles in 2020 there were almost 1000 reports of cars left by the roadside so the city council set aside $150000.00 to oaklands abandon detail for tone as residents become increasingly upset over the issue the city of oakland maintains they are a lot of resources to help get these abandoned cars off the streets reporting for

new. suites r t. $7000000.00 jobs that is what president biden claimed the recently signed $1.00 trillion dollar covert $1000.00 relief bill would create on its own which the white house is having to walk back as even the fact checkers at the washington post and put a fact are saying is incorrect now president biden was citing a report by moody's done in january which predicted u.s. economic growth would create these $7000000.00 jobs with a combination of both bidens bill and the jobs already projected without the stimulus bill even being passed but the focus of how the jobs are created is not nearly as important as where the jobs are created as a black unemployment rate rose from 9.2 percent to 9.9 percent while falling in every other racial group this is major cities are continuing to see an exodus of jobs as they count for jobs lost in new york city alone due to the covert virus is now up to 631000 that's a high number so give us
8:45 am
a 360 view of the situation we bring in our political panel new jersey pact c.e.o. autry pruitt and talk radio host and civil rights attorney robert patel you thank you for so much for joining me gentlemen but it's probably going to be i'm sure it's going to be glad to see you again and robert siegel i know you. were like a little bit recently here it's go is a good family and this is a conversation that i don't see necessarily being a political issue even though it's made into it it's about jobs we should all in this country want people to have a job if they're able to have it's i'm actually going to start with you are very bitter you're the 1st one back on with this why do you think black unemployment right now is still on the rise when we're seeing other ethnic groups recovering from the virus. because in the areas where blacks mostly are working which is not high tech industries such as google or apple it's things like i don't know the keystone pipeline but i was going to go out on purpose to
8:46 am
explain jobs it's a very simple question with an easy answer by this cancelling jobs where black americans are actually working well and that's to robert i mean is the problem as you said the lack of jobs or is it the lack of applicants qualified and given the right training for those jobs. all of this is the concept system the grants as i'm at work and i'm glad that we all can agree on and they were all understanding it affects us under let's look at the statistics african-americans are far more likely to work in the front line essential worker positions many which are being taken over by automation menu which have been exacerbated by the through the course of the pandemic the social economic slowdowns things such as resto restaurant workers tipped workers hourly wage workers have been reduced if you go to any theft food restaurant now they have an app they have a kiosk reducing number in person employee and so the idea that somehow the keystone pipeline is making 450 years of systemic racism i don't think that holds
8:47 am
water what we do have to have is target economic stimulus we need the infrastructure bill that will bring joe directly to communities we have to vest and green energy which is growing at 2 times the rate of employment as the fossil fuel industry is we have to ensure that we are providing the type of technical. the technology based education systems where people can have the certifications to have the jobs of the future and sort of focusing on the jobs of the past things like coal mining and working on the little pipelines those were great careers of the 1900 teens in the 1920 s. what we need to be doing educating a workforce for giving college debt reins in the middle wage and doing the economic steps necessary to stimulate the economy in african-american community to create perodua for the groups ok but rather odd how much answer you just said raising the minimum wage to get a lot of these companies are having to go to automation of robots because they can't afford to have employees because the minimum wage is already going to they're predicting it will be raised so to that point might have been a keystone pipeline but talking about what the effect this is going to have when
8:48 am
they do raise the minimum wage on those hourly workers that right now i can hardly get good jobs. well the keystone pipeline is an example of a systemic problem in terms of bureaucrats in washington cancelling jobs in terms of the minimum wage it's not just that that's the problem it's the federal bureaucracy this is the difference between my friend robert nigh he says government through stimulus should get jobs and guess what gives jobs private businesses give jobs if you take the restrictions are private businesses if you give things get rid of things such as certificate of needs requirements off of private businesses the economy ivy will be stimulated why do i know this because we just experienced it for 4 years this isn't rocket science here i'm not inventing i'm not i can with you robert i just saying the jobs don't need to come from government they can come from
8:49 am
private business as far as oil and gas is concerned this is this notion that we're going to somehow magically go to green energy and it's going to provide all these jobs is fantasy let green energy participate in the free market and when it taxes up like tesla for example without a government subsidy when it touches up it on competes i'd say i don't agree energy i'm just saying i don't know maybe you're planes you're trucks you're hamburgers and everything else that requires guess what fossil fuels is where the jobs are so let's people let people work ready jobs are all that's all i'm saying when we get word green we get more green ok robert what a couple points i don't let the op alter brought up the concept of the trump pets cuts what stimulated the economy that was a direct economic stimulus brought to you by the government it unfunded tax cut were because we never actually did in the austerity or in spending cuts or also $1.00 trillion dollars in debt we rate military steuben $1.00 trillion dollars in
8:50 am
response what a $780000000000.00 defense authorization bill to continue federal spending which will decide the keynesian economic. direct injection of capital into the system but they injected it at the top of the system. to the millionaire the billionaire class to stimulate the economy that it's absolutely no difference in stimulating the bottom of the economy but somebody else stimulus chesimard. crease of the earth and competitive secondarily on this issue of the green new deal i'm glad you brought up tesla the only reason that tesla progressed as a company well because rock obama put in new environmental standards 12 years ago when he got into office which allowed for green energy companies you know foothold in taking away some of the oil companies the reason that spending can since rockets into space all the time right now isn't because of the private market because they got a $3000000000.00 contract with nasa when it was doing the falcon one which allowed them to develop develop the falcon 9 and now the starship and also the super heavy lifter so this idea that somehow big business is just looked so by their own
8:51 am
bootstraps is not borne out by any economic model and in fact we have unfettered capitalism in the way of at and smelt of the wealth of nations it always leads to serfdom that always leads to people sites for some reason we always say what we pay the worker more money we got we're going to go out of business we never say well maybe we should just pay the c.e.o. and the board of directors less money and invest it into our workforce and we have workers there are more productive when they can have a living wage instead of having the taxpayer subsidized old workers who are making $725.00 an hour it's a minimum wage have the test player so i don't do welfare and other public benefits because that's what we're really doing right now the payers are sub so the unfair labor practices and the low employment wages of workers i mean it is corporations great conversation i'd have rather we could continue it but i think in the end we can all agree we need jobs my question is what happened it might be government pumping money right now what happens when they stop writing those checks are they going to be able to survive on their own thanks for joining me thank you.

now if you're like me a parent on this pandemic i have to tell you this is a bit of really hard between virtual school kids being told to stay inside being told to stay away from their friends sports being cancelled any and all activities being shut down there's not much to do many believe things like art have also been killed off by the pandemic but there is one reason bringing adults and kids together not just through art but also through digital technology something our kids have lead led the way with in these uncertain times whitey's parent fronsac shows us how one museum is bringing them all back to life. every year cherry blossoms remind people in washington d.c. that spring is coming and everybody comes together but this year during a global pandemic it's a little bit different but there is one place you can go where you can still experience the cherry blossoms travel across the globe even travel into the future and guess what you don't even have to touch anything we got about 7 in the morning
8:53 am
here so politics got to that's something you never hear from kids let alone adults . especially during a global pandemic and we had to change a few of them of our operations and how we do things to make sure that everybody can come in and be safe masks is one of the key things added that i view but it has to cover their faces now for the safety of others like everything else during copa 19 things have changed some feared would be killed off for good by the pandemic but are to cowes in washington d.c. brings new hope it's something they can take you outside of your head because i think a lot of us are in our head these days within our apartments within our spaces and kind of take you out of that box and take you somewhere else let you experience different things we have visitors who express so many emotions and excitement and then even after you leave the space something stays with you you're in a different frame of mind for the past 4 years are to couse ties in the region's

cherry blossoms with its exhibit cherry blossom viewing a tradition that is very big here in washington d.c. came to us from japan it was a gift of friendship from one country to another when the trees were initially donated to washington d.c. in united states a few decades back now arctic house is looking a few more decades forward when you guys walk down the hall and you guys are side where did you guys think you were tokyo to tokyo like yeah does in tokyo japan 2121. because. language the culture and how beautiful was. arctic causes a different kind of museum in society often we really think in dichotomies you know it's science versus art or technology versus nature we like to kind of think things as opposites but the more you examine them more in practice there is actually
8:55 am
beautiful overlap or there are ways when different things come together you get incredible innovation and that's where creativity really takes root and creativity in arctic coasts is an understatement to say acted by like a look at some you realize i was wearing a mask it's just like different from other art. it's really good pictures to get to see if you could but the main goal of arctic house is for visitors to walk away feeling they too just like art can change society even change the future shows a message about how in the future if we don't pick up our trash we are like do stuff that we need to it's cannot going to look good in the future we're going to be around for like a horror show and it's going to get like our trashing of skin to get wars so like like we just need to take care of what we were given while will eventually stop seeing the cherry blossoms bloom this fall the mission for arctic house doesn't end
8:56 am
we're going art science and technology all together to help leave this world a better place for our team i'm fair in front that. you know what are some good looking kids it's a really cool looking exhibit i just have to say and i highly encourage it obviously people are trying to adapt as we continue to open america but i highly encourage you getting out in your community if you can in a safe and healthy way because guess what that's all for today show how to stay healthy and happy and work and see you right back here tomorrow in the meantime follow me on twitter and you use the hash tag and gauge for this show and. more well right now download the portable the t.v. ad for your apple or android device and we're saying you are right back here tomorrow thanks for watching. one of the worst mass shootings in america was in less vegas in 2017 the tragedy

the headlines this hour balances off me and sticks to your exams flooding response joe biden labeling him a killer in a recent t.v. interview we look at whether the american president's promise that diplomacy is back is in fact a stab in the back. i am not the crisis of the century. and i'm not ruling out any anything or not. also this the european union threatens its allies because you vaccine export ban in a bid to fix its floundering jap rollout while other states call for russia to be approved for use in the blog and the u.k. should strike trade deals with countries even if they have all human rights record .
