united states himself we have been very very close contact with colonial pipeline which is through one area you're talking about over there one of the reasons against the pressure coming up. and i think you're going to hear soon good news is it's 24 hours and i think we'll be getting that under control so he's telling us we're going to hear good news the next 24 hours you know something right you know something not long after that colonial comes up and announces that the pipeline has been open but nothing else that's just it pipelines open right no mention of whether the ransom had been paid or had not been paid. you know in america most of us partly because of hollywood and a little bit because of our inflated sense of exceptionalism we tend to think that this is what happens when somebody takes us hostage or one of our companies hostage

this group is there an attack you know with the ransomware locking it up but they're stealing their data beforehand and then blackmailing them about the release of the data so this is a very different tactic than we've seen in the immediate past bloomberg by it is reporting that the company paid i believe $5000000.00 i have a tendency to believe it's a hollow higher than that what's your take. well we don't we don't know who we don't know we do know is what's been reported and it said some payment has been made and apparently was around $5000000.00 and you earlier mentioned that's good guys always win and lose in the real world economics that's always wins so any value higher than $5000000.00 or $10000000.00 might not have been feasible for either side or any value less than that might not have been agreeable by the ransom or operations darkseid there was
