you should go through the process because at least you care enough to ask these questions and they're going to get adopted out regardless. but like you said, it's an interesting, it's an interesting question all the way around, what is happening to these kids of incarcerated? well, and there's lots of reason why kids are in the foster care system. but how common thing is this issue of children of incarcerated parents being taken away unfairly? we don't interesting. i started digging into that when, when you off the topic. it's fascinating. the marshal project actually did an investigative report on this a few years ago, and they examined some 3000000 cases and they found that children placed in foster care or their, when their parents are incarcerated. they're more likely to have their parental rights terminated than parents to physically or actually sexually assaulted their kid. so that was the result of analyzing some 3000000 cases, as i said. and these were parents that weren't even accused of child glass abuse, endangerment. some of them didn't even have drug or alcohol used female prisoners, of course, because they are mothers, 5 times more likely than their male counterparts of inmates to end up have their

kids end up in foster care to have their parental rights terminated again half the time they don't even have abuse charges to get them. that's just for the sole purpose that they were incarcerated. and then one, i wonder if they have the right to appeal that if they even know what's happening in the 1st place that their rights are being take away. you know, molly, i wonder why turn terminate parental rights if they aren't facing charges related anything that was specifically endanger a child, or if they weren't to a lifelong sentence, real quick of an answer for i want to get this in. yeah, absolutely. well, basically it has to do with how long they're in jail. and there's a lot of debate over this. you have some people that advocate for the kids getting into a stable home as quickly as possible, even if that means that their parent could get out, potentially provide a stable hope for them. but at that month, years down the road, they did not wait. and then you have those that they kids need to be reunited with their biological parents regardless, especially with making it effort. so it's a lot of work to be done in this area, a lot of people to disagree, but it seems like most people agree, it's better for a child to be with their parents, the state laws, even federal laws, sometimes put financial incentives on adoption. they keep parents separate from
