thorough investigation is exactly what is going on there, but human being should never be treated that way. as a biden's administration, special envoy to haiti has resigned in protest of the patients to their homeland. we will assess the worst thing situation at the border and how the administration is handling the situation, which is now accused of being in human and use the story, the more on today's new use right here on our t america. let's get started. ah . as thomas for his presidential campaign, joe biden is delivering a new jobs to america. and out of all places get no location of this controversial prison which houses some of the world's most new tourist terrors. off houses the migration center, which washington wants to expand. and uncle sam wants you to help run the facility with some conditions. of course, are 2 dogs a hell of
9:31 pm
a has the story. it was just days after president biden was inaugurated in february that his administration made the announcement. our goal is to close one town of a month later, $39.00 detainees remain housed at the prison. and instead of moving to shut it down, the white house is now talking about adding more beds to a little known adjacent facility. aside from a prison, the us naval base at guantanamo bay, cuba also houses an immigrant holding center. according to a solicitation forbids issued last week by the department of homeland security, the government is ready to expand that operation. and it's looking for private contractors to do the job. in the words of the d h. s. the facility has a capacity of 120 people and will have an estimate, a daily population of 20 people. however, the service provider shall be responsible to maintain on site the necessary equipment to erect temporary housing facilities for populations that exceed $120.00,

and up to $400.00 migrants in a search event. as the biden administration scrambles to relocate thousands of haitian migrants camped in a texas border town is looking at options, but so far the d h. s is insisting that there are no plans to transfer the migrants from the u. s. southern border to guantanamo bay. however, the contract solicitation has set off the alarm with some immigrant advocates. the advertisement looking for a contractor specifies the need to hire at least some guards who speak spanish and haitian creole. people like us represented of alexandria or casio cortez, called the move, utterly shameful on twitter. some of those seem advocates have been critical of the biden administration's decision to expel more than $1000.00 migrants back to haiti as that country suffers from recent events which include political turmoil and natural disasters. and they have ripped into the government for allowing horseback patrols to pursue patients at the border. what, how are we doing here?
9:33 pm
what we witness takes us back hundreds of years. what we witness was worse than what we whitley slavery. how boys with their reins again, with things like people, patients and to the water where the grammar and falling down. and all they're trying to do is a case from violence in their country. you know, crime has force force patrols to be temporarily suspended in the area. however, for many that's not nearly enough. the latest, the us special envoy to haiti has sent in his resignation, setting what he calls the united states inhumane counterproductive response to the haitian migrant situation. as forget, mo, this is not the 1st time that washington has looked at the us base as a place to send large numbers of migrants. in the 1990 s, one tunnel bay was used as a refugee camp for haitians play that country after a military coup. at its peak, the camp held more and 12000 haitians in what some described as deplorable

conditions, while the department of homeland security in 5th the recent solicitation has nothing to do with margaret situation in texas. critics say that get mal offers away for the u. s. government to be human rights protections and the refugee laws of the united states produce views hughes. this is alex mileage. now back to our original story in the body ministration special envoy to haiti issued a scathing resignation from a physician, saying he would not be associated with united states in humane and counterproductive decision to deport thousands of haitian refugees and illegal immigrants to haiti. now this is criticism of how that ministration is handling. the border crisis is coming from both the left and the right with everyone pointing fingers at each other as the main source of the problem. and the u. s. customs and border patrol agents are currently under fire and the use of mounted patrols has been suspended after disturbing photos emerge of mounted units trying to round up
9:35 pm
migrant. i have surfaced the camp which on saturday had a population of many, nearly 15000 is now just under 4000 is 1700. 1900 migrants have just been expelled to haiti, the department homeland security latest numbers have confirmed. so let's discuss this as well as the transfer of refugees from the border to possibly they get motor tension facilities. and if that's the right move, we bring michael john from whitehouse. speech writer to president george h. w. bush. thank you for joining me, michael. it's pleasure. god bless you. ok. so vice president harris says that she wants an investigation into how things are being handled, isn't she the one that was actually put in charge of handling the situation at the border? so what type of investigation? how would that look? you really? everything that she has had to say from the very beginning of her appointment in this on this critical function back in march to now it's made almost no sense. and even today she sounded, are we confused with related to the crisis?
9:36 pm
unclear as far as the nature of it and responding only to the sort of brief optics as opposed to addressing as she should be the obvious reality core of this crisis. because all the way back to january 20th when by and began reversing for our president. trump's hashed together imperfect vastly superior said the immigration policies that had this crisis, basically held it back. you got rid of the number to the, the stand next go. policy, which was usually constructive, obviously suspended the construction of the wall, which was moving in the right direction. basically, of all wished for a series of executive orders, any degree of forcible actions for the purposes of the port taishan. in fact, to spend the deportations in the 1st 100 days, ryan sent this napkins throughout the entire hemisphere. come on, you know,
9:37 pm
we welcome you and that basically was a message that was received by a continent that sort of waves poor country and in the continent. as you know, seen, this is some sort of invitation, but these are not, can't be said. in fact, when you know, if you're not individual that are eligible for and see under our guidelines, they are a year for predominantly economic purposes. and i think what can be sympathetic understanding of that. it is the role of the united states and especially in programming, i mean 14 was in this country which precluded illegal immigration and we go entry into our country. but my client, i agree with that, and i thank you for your walk on history. the time of the past few months, but there's something different this time because we're seeing this influx of patients right now. so i have to wonder where the patients coming from. i mean,
9:38 pm
we know just by geography haitian isn't necessarily connected to south america. why now? and why are they just now coming to our border? well firstly, we've had, there been individuals from countries around the world, the middle east, from africa, from south asia, including individuals from terrorist watch list who have been identified at this border. now they're reporting what we're comported, leave these haitian thousands of these asian immigrants decided to come absolutely from south america were purportedly they were had been since 2010 earthquake in haiti. i would say that that's possible, but you know, it is in need to know definitive answer because this is also highly profitable. sadly, it's a very highly profitable industry for any traffic or moving people, all you know, through the atmosphere in the united states,
9:39 pm
guaranteeing them safe entry, and that's the thing. and that's my goal, and they were, you know, they were probably given that problem at some point. hence why you saw it happen now. they're finding out though they're being returned to back to haiti where there was 11 years ago when they originally left micro. i hate to kind of short, but i got to move on. thank you so much for joining us. thank. team chinese aircraft, including fighters and nuclear capable. bombers flew over taiwan airspace and wake of the latest go between australia, u. k. and the usa. and there were 14 fighters, including 12, j 16th and to j. 11th, as well as a pair of h 6 nuclear capable bombers with 2 anti submarine aircraft, inter type type pies, air different identification zone on thursday morning. and this causing taiwan to dispatch patrol troops and activate anti aircraft missile tracking and monitoring. so to follow up with a start bringing it in, john jordan for navy intelligence officer, john, lots of details in that. lots of breaking down is i was trying to think of the planes themselves,
9:40 pm
what they look like. lots of firepower. so help me out on this. it just been 4 days or 3 days since we talked about this before. what is trying to actually hoping to do by flexing it's muscle to the world? this is the wages, a weakness, part 5. the to the chinese are seeking to do is a couple of things. 3 things. they're seeking to, to test taiwanese response, an american response to they want to acclimate taiwanese air defense words to seeing these types of aircraft. and these to, and thirdly, these types of aircraft all have a different use. and i suspect that all of them and been outfitted with various sensors to gather recognizance and intelligence, whether it's the electronic kind or perhaps even dropping sun boys which is used in the detection of submarines. so in any, and they're trying to gather intelligence and test the response and test the american response. and this is going to continue for quite some time. this really wouldn't be happening, had joe,
9:41 pm
by not shown such weakness in afghanistan and tempted america's adversaries to think that we won't stand up for our allies. and it also perhaps gives out some of our allies throughout the world, including ty, one reason to believe that america won't necessarily be for them. and so china is seeking to exploit that right now. well, and that's what i also asked at these allies, you know, do you think the tie long would be responding like she is? if she did not think that she did have allies like the u. s. u k. in the back of backing her up and whatever her decision might be. well, taiwan is going to have to can then so the chinese are going to have to be convinced that ever ever becoming ever more aggressive of the taiwan strait is going to come at a cost. whether it's diplomatic economic, in terms of sanctions, or god forbid some sort of military action or accident and could occur. but in the meantime, this is a, this is going to be business as usual for some time until the chinese realize that it's no longer profitable for them to do so. okay,
9:42 pm
but who is going to make the chinese realize that that was kind of one of my questions that this is like, is it going to, what is it going to take for back up who's the one that's going to put their feet to the fire on this, yeah, it's ultimately, it's going, it's going to have to be a combination of the united states, japan, the philippines and possibly australia with some sort of sanctions package or some sort of diplomatic, some diplomatic consequences. or those countries of basically decided we're going to have a military presence in and around us in the south china sea, an anti one straight in the indefinite future and raised the stakes. but that's the only way this is going to stop. ok, so then what is the next step? what do you see with knowing how history is shown in these types of, of war games? what happens next? if there is not the type of, i wouldn't want to say the words submission or the short type of retaliation that will back china down. what is the next step? well, 1st of all, taiwan isn't going to summarily decide to be part of communist china. that's not, it would never happen without
9:43 pm
a fight unless of course china is able to isolate. so one intimidated and forced change from within taiwan. but that's not something the next few weeks. basically, we're looking at a very dangerous period right now to answer your question bluntly, scotty, the possibility of some sort of miscalculation or some sort of, perhaps a fighter pilot mistaking something for aggressive action, firing back or some sort of tactical level confrontation that isn't intended by either side is a very, very real possibility. in fact, that may be 11 thing that china wants to test. well, and that's the thought of, you know, the, another reason why i hear people all the time. so this is why the us got involved. they wanted to stop something. let's just say china is able to get to want to submit. will china stop with taiwan or will they continue to try to grow their sphere of influence by taking on the next country? well, whether they get, we'll get china taiwan to submit i want isn't going to do voluntarily join china that isn't going to happen. certainly not in the very near term. the alternative is
9:44 pm
a forced entry invasion by beijing, which would be enormously bloody and would, would be devastating to chinese economy. and not to mention politically damaging to beijing also because of the casualties involved. and the fact that it would bring in a basically invites con, broader conflict in the, in the western pacific. so i don't see, ty, ty, one submitting, but you do in the surrendering in that sense. but you do, you can see some sort of air c action that can happen here by accident, by accident, or perhaps even by provocation, by one side. well, at this point it looks like it's contained to escalate with no real signs of either side wayne to cool down, which like you said, it's very dangerous time period. we are living in toronto and always great to follow up with you. thank you. coming up, the european union is seeking help from moscow as the us desperately trying to reverse and energy. we will give you all the details when we return the

oh right now, there are 2000000000 people who are overweight or obese. it's profitable to sell food that is fancy and sugary and healthy victim not at the individual level. it's not individual willpower. and if we go on believing that will never change as obesity epidemic, that industry has been influencing very deeply. the medical and scientific establishment, ah, what's driving the reason for that? it's corporate. mm. ah. excuse me, if you look at a little bit a

march 21st, which is in 2 days. all these potatoes, power panels, onions, all of these came from waste ground sources. this is great for me because i'm always looking for a way to give things away. dr. because the tax laws, you know, definitely do benefit the wealthier people in our society. so that makes sense for them to throw it out right off rather than give it to somebody who could use it, then that person is not going to buy it. ah, the ah

the energy crisis, any records spike in fuel prices has european union leaders in crunch talks over the crisis. but they're, they familiar target to blame or fear oliver reports from berlin. there's never a good time for a black house, but there's probably few worse than when you're trying to reassure people. the power outages aren't on the card. did you have an active role in the governance of any of these companies attendance or any other or didn't risk committees or anything like that? so we don't attend the audit risk, which is what we say. apologies. respond by the lights have gone out.

it may last year of gas and the price. so, but the big news right now, but the world energy watchdog said russia should do more to increase supplies. russia could do more to increase gas availability to europe, and insure storage is filled to adequate levels in preparation for the coming winter heat and season. russian supply, a gas prom say that they are currently fulfilling all of the contractual obligations when it comes to the delivery of gas to europe and say that they are trying to increase storage facilities in russia. prices for gas have doubled in the last months which the russian side, se shows the benefit of signing long term supply deals, as opposed to trying to pay market price. the united states is also chimed in saying the situation in europe could get bought this winter. certain countries are going to have the ability to purchase gas, it will cost more, but other countries, it won't only be of recessionary value and have
9:50 pm
a konami considerations. it also affect the ability to provide gas for heating and in cold winter when you have to ration gas for heating. that is something that not just about jet political games or markets. it touches everybody's lives here in germany, over 300000 homes. could be set for a more than 10 percent increase in their energy bills while around a 3rd, the $300000.00 could see their prices go up by around 4 percent. the node stream to gas pipeline was completed earlier this month, that can provide an extra 55000000000 cubic meters of gas to europe each year. enough to power 27000000 homes with more energy demand in europe, that the new pipeline could be instrumental in supplying the gas needed to help countries like germany transfer away from coal power, the projects purposes to diversify our future gas demands. mainly because the gas reserves of the u. k, norway, in the netherlands, are dwindling. this means that we are well aware of this demand. and in this
9:51 pm
respect, it certainly makes sense to implement this project. particularly in view of the fact that our storage facilities are quite empty in the run up to the ottoman winter season, while some headlines have depicted rusher as attempting to hold europe to run some . those representing businesses that will feel the pinch of a rise in gas prices, particularly hottest se sourcing out supply with russia must be a priority, transplanted, crucified b is now combined with the green climb and ideology that completely forget that we will have to deal with these natural resources for many, many, many years. considering that we're not going to give up natural gas anytime soon, i think devastation. 3 modern pipelines remains a logical and not only economically viable option. the german government continue to say that no stream to not only essential to germany's energy needs, but also those of the wide european union. they also stress that the current
9:52 pm
increase in energy prices is down to multiple factors. according to our information . russia complies with the existing supply agreements. the price bike is associated with manufacturers, a tough winter market changes and increased demand for gas underneath this whole issue lies a very full state of affairs. europe needs gas, russia has gas, and very soon a new pipeline will be open running capable of transporting more of one to the other. while moscow maintains that this is purely a business venture, others will continue to suggest that more nefarious games are a foot feature all over r t, berlin. they go into even more detail as well as talk about poland, who's now refusing to hold running a disputed coal. mine define a court order and a daily penalty. very expensive one. actually we bring a terrible job of transformer to research proven. thanks for joining me on this pleasure. ok, this is all about energy. we just heard what's going on. obviously with the
9:53 pm
e. u and russia, but i actually want to start with poland with you because there is this energy crisis is coming in the u. k. and the you, if they don't already have one, doesn't pull and have a right to try and keep the polish power system stable, which is what they're saying, why they're not going to abide by the court order. well, i mean in the broader thing of the e u, they have rules and regulations on that. we don't have the state dispos have the right to to do that. technically, the quarter, the use those laws, they're going to try to get around it. but they went into this union, scotty and you know, that, that said that we're all in and we're all sharing. the other issue, of course, is call versus natural gas versus nuclear. and in the rest of the e u, as they have closed down nucular power plants, which by the way, today are safer than, than you know, walking outside the street on the grass. and then the wind stop blowing north sea. and all of a sudden people are realizing, gosh, natural gas. it keeps us warm,
9:54 pm
but it also makes the fertilizer for our food. and when those prices go up, food goes up. when natural gas prices go up, prices go up and add that onto the whole show, just getting out of covert all the, all the problems we've had. the one irony here is the reason why natural gas prices are going up in value is that the united states who became the largest gas producer, is not making any more natural gas. now we're finally said the, the producers are saying, we need to pay off all the money we borrowed. russia is sitting there like the captured in the seats, and absolutely, we want to open up just give us a 2nd pipeline. and now they have 4 or 5 different battles going simultaneously while their population is seeing inflation on food prices on gas price at home prices on plastics and everything. and they couldn't solve that, but they decided they were going to get rid of their nuclear power plants 1st and
9:55 pm
put windmills up 2nd and didn't think about the consequences. well, and you're someone who cares about quite the climate. i mean, that's kind of a lot of your background, you live in a beautiful area, you understand how important environment is. so in this case, considering we're talking about country putting food on the table, not actually having enough power to heat all the houses. we need to think in the short term coming out of a panoramic and then worry about the long term effects when we're actually more of a stabilize or is that kind of, unrealistic to think will every back into a more stabilized economy that we can start putting in climate change as a priority. well, i mean, again, if you look at the, the bills that are being talked about, we're talking about 2 and a half trillion dollars of fund leveraged and so on. so far that would go into the quote unquote green economy. but they're really about d carbonite and it's got a, i mean, at the end of the day, you know, cool prices have gotten so low that nobody wants to mine it, but yet call still runs about 22 percent of the power plants united states. if you
9:56 pm
can't pull the call out of the ground or nobody's there to pull it out, now you have to have something to go back on. and that's nuclear in united states, which is about 29 to 30 percent of our power. and then the big problem we have which is storage, even if you're using like texas wind power is amazing, but they don't have enough storage to use it. it's a, it's an ecosystem. scott, it's not just one thing that solves this problem, but it really starts with storage number one. number 2 is it starts with not closing nuclear plants, which we now have 6 nuclear plants united states scheduled to close. otherwise we're going to be in the same situation as them, and there is no easy solution. there is there, but also i think you also have the problem is also the answer. i think you have it both. they just have to kind of start talking to each other and communicating always great. once again, tobin you're surprised by your level of expertise in every subject. i sort of you, thanks for talking with me and that's all the time we have a show, but i promise this is a conversation we will continue to follow me on twitter as scott in use use the
