[000:00:00;00] ah, ah, tragedy in siberia, where made your report say that $52.00 people died including rescue workers off an explosion of mine is contradicts the last official statement low that the fate of many of them on is still unclear. thought in homeless asian about mandatory vaccines with the public that's the controversial advice of the world health organization to countries are made. you want to protest against the introduction of compulsory jobs for certain groups and in the sudanese capital theory, over the recent monetary period is not letting our boss demonstrate as demand the return of the ousted civilian government. our senior correspondent was brought garcia, report from the scene the crowd,
5:01 pm
these thousands. we had seen many school columns moving in very if they bought before converging here. ah, log from oscar, thanks for joining us tonight on auto international. and daniel hawkins, wherever you are this evening, welcome to the program that starts with the tragedy in the central russian region of came over were an explosion is ripped through local mine. latest media reports now suggest 52 people have died, including 6 rescue workers. officials haven't confirmed best, i wonder most recent statements conflict with that figure. let's get some more honest from what he's arnold quarter. don, thanks for joining us. you've been across the store now for some hours. what's the latest we do now? while dan media reports, of course, are saying that the camera of a mine explosion has taken the lives of 52 people. although officials are saying that the fate of 38 of those people is still unclear. i mean,
5:02 pm
although it is unfortunately unlikely that there are any survivors at this point since the equipment that would have allowed them to stay alive up until this point in those toxic conditions of the mine have long expired. now i was on thursday actually that we started receiving reports that an incident had taken place in the central russian city of cameron in siberia. we later and we later found out that it was an explosion in a coal mine that was 250 meters underground. there were 300 people in that mine. luckily, the vast majority of them were able to scape to safety, but at least 11 of them were killed and dozens more were sent to the hospital injured. some of them are in critical condition, being mainly treated for symptoms connected to poisonous gas inhalation. now, all communications were lost with them almost immediately following that blast. as for the emergency services, they arrived quickly on the scene and they spent most of the day basically battling
5:03 pm
smoke, trying to find these miners. and after a little while, it became they needed to stop the search and rescue operation because authorities were worried about the possibility of a 2nd explosion. and then shortly after that they learned that there was indeed a problem on their hands not connected to another explosion, but that they lost contact with the rescue teams already in the mines. and they, they were basically unaccounted for. we have confirmed that 3 of them were unfortunately killed and the authorities are still looking at a, at a possible 2nd explosion that could take place there. now, as for what actually cause this explosion, the, we don't know for sure, but the authorities have launched a criminal probe. 3 administrators of the mine have been to pained in trying to find out what exactly happened. i guess they're going to be asked by the authorities. what exactly happened and preliminary findings suggests that cold dust
5:04 pm
in the ventilation shaft actually may have caught fire and spread that fire throughout the coal mine. it's also important to mentioned that the authorities, the regional authorities of camera has, have since announced a region wide morning period between november 26th and november 28th. so it's obviously a really tragical tragic situation for those friends and family of those who have been confirmed, killed, and a lot of on, you know, a lot of unanswered questions as, as for those relatives of people whose fates are still unconfirmed in date and relative families praying throughout the night for news. what's happened to those who are still missing done. we'll get back to you as more information does come in on that tragedy. don't quote that thanks or the world health organization is in countries to start a conversation about what caused the very delicate matter of mandatory vaccinations . this comes a day after the storm warning that europe, cobra dest,
5:05 pm
so could hit 2000000 by next spring. there are lessons of history here where mandates have come at the expensive trust and social inclusion. so it's very delicate. we think it's time to have that conversation, both from an individual and a population base perspective. what's mark's a clear you turned by that that will show this year? it said it did not support making jobs. compulsory stating it was best to focus on informing people, making vaccines readily available. the latest spike in case them missed. i was prompted countries across europe to re impose cubs italy, greece and republic of all bonds, unvaccinated people from russia side of the payment by new sweden's considering mandatory booths to jobs. for people over 40 of frances set to make booster shots available for all adults, which will be needed for health pulses, spanish regions including catalonia limiting movement for maxine, hesitant citizens in germany shops and waiting all of shelves has called for mandatory call with shots as well as the case numbers of his record of 74000 with

a debt all passing 100000. and the governments describe the situation as an emergency or europe correspondent patrol reports from button was deep concern at the moment. and it's particularly when you look at those figures over the last 24 hours, the number of covert cases that have been reported to the robert coffins that you'd passing 75000 for the 1st time. also germany reaching a sod milestone as 100000 all over 100000 people have now died from cove at 19 in the country. we are in a period of governmental transition here in germany at the moment, says angle american steps down and all our schoultz looks likely to be the man that will be replacing her. now both governments have set the alarm bells ringing really when it comes to this latest wave of coven 19 the problem is obvious. we are heading for an emergency. the likes of which we have never seen before in this
5:07 pm
country. is that also the way out of this pandemic is that in institutions where especially vulnerable groups are cared for. vaccination is made mandatory. all i've shown they're talking about the idea of introducing mandatory vaccinations in certain situations. now it is a big question here, found elsewhere about why vaccine uptake is not being as, as prevalent as in german speaking country. so basically germany and austria were looking around 69 percent 68 percent, whereas you look elsewhere that haven't had mandatory vaccinations. i'm talking about spain, italy, portugal well over 80 percent in portugal, 98 percent. so the big question is, why haven't people in germany, austria come forward to take up these jobs now in australia, they've said that they're going to introduce mandatory vaccination for everybody from february of next year. now polls being taken of people here in germany suggests that that would be reasonably
5:08 pm
a popular idea. the idea that vaccinations were made mandatory. the thing is is that there's a really bleak picture being painted for those that don't job is the outgoing health minister. yes. spawn bush, i need to get them probably by the end of this winter, this sometime cynically said pretty much everyone in germany will be vaccinated, recovered or dead. but it's true with the highly contagious delta. very, this is very, very likely. while the federal government here in berlin can settle an overarching coven policy, the individual 16 states that make up germany, they have the power to be able to implement things as they see fit on the ground. and what the scene is a patchwork of of methods that are being employed. if you're in states like bavaria, north run with folly a button board and the rhineland plot and that and others. then you're pretty much bod, from public spaces. if you've not been vaccinated, can't prove that you've got a valid vaccination or that you've recovered from coven 19 in the last 6 months.
5:09 pm
elsewhere, like in the cities of hamburg, and here in berlin. then you can get on public transport without being able to prove that you are vaccinated, recovered, or that you have a valid p c, r test. now we gauge the opinion of some people here in the german capital of what they make of the measures employed. i find it absolutely right, especially in the current situation, we must be very thorough. personally, i have no issues with this. as i want to have safety when getting from a to be extended us, it's difficult for many when they do not want to get vaccinated, but still want to use public transport. they will have to find other ways to move around. i find it a bit device if it's shocking, has they are using case numbers to force us into another lockdown. mr. that said we are 9 on the scale of $1.00 to $10.00 at the apocalypse. we are at 9, but that relates to the quality of our politicians and not to the situation that prevails on the ground. well, we have

a new government on the way and they are going to be facing huge challenges, whichever way you slice it when it comes to this latest way of the covey pandemic. now there is news coming out on thursday that the outgoing chancellor angle america had wanted to put the country into a 2 week lockdown that would have started from well thursday. today. however, it said be reported in those german tabloids that the incoming government led by all our shots. they have blocks, they said that's not the way they want to go. so it's not going to be locked downs . there is this huge problem with the 4th wave of coven 19 in germany. we're going to have to look to see what their plan is to tackle it. we spoke to bob john the professor of urology, and he logic surgery at the vienna. he says, europe should have rolled up mandatory vaccinations as soon as that seems became available. if you really listen to physicians to experts,
5:11 pm
all of them agreed that this vaccines and vaccinations are the solution. and fortunately, because this was driven by politician and i cannot repeat it, often enough of input politics comes to makes medical decision is like a politician telling you if you need an index to me or not, we need mandatory vaccination. we should have done it much earlier, and the reason why people are so unhappy is because nobody was speaking clearly to them, explaining them the fact. it was more political, but you don't inform people adequately. you don't spend time time money and resources to basically explain to people what's really going on. explained the vaccination process. the safety of this, the vaccination, as long as social media is driven by the big news in all parts of the world, you will have people doubting about the tickets of these kind of activities. and life. time has been extended to the french, tertiary guadalupe, and made unrest over with restrictions. rights have also spread to another

unrest demonstrations last week on von it will at least 16 people killed on wednesday alone. audi senior correspondent ward garcia reports from the sudanese capital. well, these are the traditional thursday demonstrations here. so darling, our cartoon the crowd, these schindler, thousands. we had seen many small columns, swarming in various neighborhoods before converging here. and what they all want these for power to be handed over by the military to a civilian government. properly this time, without any acceptance, they bought the military step down. many people here feel betrayed by prime minister ham dock. who signed an agreement with the military, giving up a lot of civilian bower to the military will, if you will dis, agreement between hum dog and moran and dis, give legitimacy and legal situation for a coup will, if you,

if we want comp will not complete civil society and complete civil government tear gas out, or something of the sort had been applied here though we haven't seen any police there also ties burning out on the road. that is also in a traditional part of these protests whereby brutus to set them alighted, major intersections, they, they barricade made up of bricks of stones, to stop traffic that is civil disobedience, but the crowd disease, very diverse. there are elderly, here there are women, there are children are also men. all sorts of people from all walks of life. of these crowds are much smaller than what organizers had called for. there were also much more than what we had seen earlier. many people had dug given up. many people no longer see the point in these demonstrations. they don't believe that any good change, positive change will come of these demonstrations after, after 2 years of them. so the crowds are much thinner than organized, had hoped they had called for

is shameful. rittenhouse was last week acquitted of all charges after fatally shooting to white pupils during a black lives them either protesting wisconsin which had descended into a riot written now seated active in self defense with footage of the incident appearing to support his claims. now the outrage surrounding the case as spilled out far beyond the public domain, an american whiskey maker has told people not to buy their written house right. if they're doing so to support the teams you to call rittenhouse, the company happen. hill says the case is no cause for celebration. the look of firms statement has drawn a mixed public reaction. i know a lot of whiskey drinkers. i know a lot of conservatives. i don't know any one who toasted the actions or verdict under discussion. another attempt to divert our attention and divide us. why in the world would you choose to jump into politics? the big to said and they chose to said with corruption and evil. exactly,

this is the concept of critical race theory where race is critical to your theories . and so by definition, this is the only way that they can see any issue in america. everything is about race map is now racist. grammar is now racist, according to these people to whom race is always critical to their theories. bill to come from police arrest 5 people and a crown on human trafficking gangs off the 27 la grants died trying to reach the u . k. inflatable dingey on wednesday. the story of the brit.

a dinghy towards the waters in that photograph french piece appeared to be standing by and simply doing nothing. there are 2 questions for the u. k. government as well because whatever the government has been doing, it's not good enough either. simply isn't working. we've had over the last few years, pretty much empty platitudes and almost aggressive slogans coming from the government . particularly from the home secretary, pre to patel who had brown 3 years ago said she would make these crossings an infrequent phenomenon. and more recently, she vowed to shut off the route entirely, making them on viable while despite this tragedy just yesterday afternoon. and indeed this morning we've seen more boats attempting to cross the english channel. the terrible weather expected in the next few days potentially is why many people are risking their lives across the english china because they feel this is almost there last opportunity for a while. but we've heard from the head of the port in carla and he said this is

something we were sure could happen. and even those on the rescue mission just yesterday said how, just, how many more people lose their lives before the government actually intervene to stop this? this is real group assassination. and then the situation we experienced today. we have been driving it for a long time. we have been sounding the alarm for a long time, despite the humanitarian crisis. now, will the government actually do anything after years and now years of a west setting situation? while instead of just prefer sort of international history at the see the french show an extra grow and the using migration to do so. i think didn't need there. the real change must happen in france because after all, the french government is legally and internationally, league lose walsall. ready for his speeches and for who moves around on these beaches and who lizzie's beaches. and so far, all we've seen is either incompetence,
