[000:00:00;00] ah, ah, saturday inside the area where media reports say that $52.00 people have died including risky work because after an explosion at some mine is contradicts the last official statement, though that the fate of many of the miners is unclear. to conversation about mandatory vaccines with the public mess. the controversial advice of the world health organization to countries in europe wide protests against the introduction of compulsory jobs for certain groups with the sudanese capital fury over the recent military who is not collecting up has demonstrated demands. the return of the ousted civilian government. austonia correspondent, lord gauthier,

report from the protest. crowd these 1000. we could see british ball columns moving and various people reported brought to you here. ah, a very welcome. you're watching aussie international with me here. and now we start with the tragedy in the central russian region. of camera or an explosion has ripped through a local mind. the latest media reports now suggest 52 people have died, including 6 rescue workers. officials haven't confirmed this though, and their most recent statements can conflict with that figure. when i get some clarity on this from our to san court, and now don, good to see you. what are all the media getting their numbers from and what do we know for sure so far? well, mickey, as you said, media reports are saying that the cam, the camera of a mine explosion has taken the lives of 52 people,
6:02 pm
although the official statistics are still saying that 38 of those people, their fates are still unknown. although it is still unlikely really that there are any survivors at this point since the equipment that would have allowed anyone to be in that toxic environment for this long has long expired on thursday. we 1st heard that there was an incident in camera of a region of central russia. it's also in siberia. we later found out that there was an explosion in a mine 250 meters underground and that there were 300 people there. luckily, the vast majority of people were able to get out safely, but at least 11 work and have been killed and dozens more were injured. they were sent to the hospital and a number of them are in critical condition being treated for smoke poisoning and all communication was lost with them basically right after this explosion took place. now, as for the emergency response, emergency services got there quite quickly and they spent the majority of the day
6:03 pm
battling the smoke. looking for these miners after a little while though it became clear that there might be a problem, the authorities thought that there was a possible that there was a possibility for another explosion to happen. so they recalled the rescue workers, but the rescue workers actually did not surface. and then they realized that they had a bigger problem because later on they really they realized that 3 rescue workers were confirmed dead and the other 3 are still, their situation is still unknown. they lost communication with them, and the authorities are still actually worried about the potential for a 2nd explosion. since there is still a high content of methane in those caves, as for what actually cause this explosion, we don't really know, but the authorities have launched a criminal investigation. 3 of the administrators of the mine have been detained and, and they're being questioned as we speak. but the preliminary finding suggests that cold dust in the mine in the ventilation shaft may have caught fire and spread that
6:04 pm
fire throughout the mines. it's also important to note that the authorities have, has declared a region wide period of morning between november 26th and 28th for the victims of this tragedy. so really a tragic event for the friends and family of those who were killed here, and a lot of uncertainty for the relatives of the people whose fates are still undetermined. and thanks to bring it up to speed on that specialties. don't quarter health organization is urging countries to start a conversation about what caused the very delicate matter of mandatory vaccinations becomes a day after it's stalk warning, but europe's coven guess told, could hit to 1000000 by next spring. there were lessons of history here where mandates have come at the expense of trust and social inclusion. so it's very delicate. we think it's time to have that conversation, both from an individual and a population base perspective. what about the clear,
6:05 pm
you turn by the w h o l c a, right? so they did not support making jobs. compulsory say, think it was best to focus on informing people and making vaccines readily available. the latest spike in case numbers has prompted countries across europe to reimpose cubs, italy grease on the check republic has bonds, unvaccinated people from restaurants and entertainment venues. sweden is considering mandatory boost the jobs for people over 40 frances set to make booster shots available for all adults which will be needed for health passes on spanish regions including cas lonia limiting movement for vaccine hesitant citizens. when germany chantelle in waiting. oh, love shots has called for mandatory covert shots to daily case numbers have hit a record of 74000 with the death toll passing, 100000 governments describe the situation as an emergency correspondent in europe, pete oliver reports on berlin was deep concern at the moment and it's particularly
6:06 pm
when you look at those figures over the last 24 hours. the number of covert cases that have been reported to the robert coffins that you'd passing 75000 for the 1st time. also germany reaching a sod milestone as 100000 all over 100000 people have now died from cove at 19 in the country. we are in a period of governmental transition here in germany at the moment, says angle americans steps down and all our schoultz looks likely to be the man that will be replacing her. now both governments have set the alarm bells ringing really when it comes to this latest wave of covert. 19 the problem is obvious. we are heading for an emergency. the likes of which we have never seen before in this country is that also the way out of this pandemic is that in institutions where especially vulnerable groups are cared for. vaccination is made mandatory. all i've shown they're talking about the idea of introducing mandatory vaccinations in
6:07 pm
certain situations. now it is a big question here and elsewhere about why vaccine uptake has not been as, as prevalent as in german speaking countries. so basically germany and austria were looking around 69 percent 68 percent, whereas you look elsewhere that haven't had mandatory vaccinations. i'm talking about spain, italy, portugal well over 80 percent in portugal, 98 percent. so the big question is, why haven't people in germany, austria come forward to take up these jobs now in australia, they've said that they're going to introduce mandatory vaccination for everybody from february of next year. now polls being taken of people here in germany suggests that that would be reasonably a popular idea. the idea that vaccinations were made mandatory. the thing is, is that there's a really bleak picture being painted for those that don't get
6:08 pm
a job. is the outgoing health minister yen spawn. and probably by the end of this winter or the sometime cynically said, pretty much everyone in germany will be vaccinated, recovered or dead. but it's true with the highly contagious delta. very his, very, very likely. while the federal government here in berlin can settle an overarching coven policy, the individual 16 states that make up germany, they have the power to be able to implement things as they see fit on the ground. and what by seeing is a patchwork of, of methods that are being employed if you're in states like bavaria, north ryan with folly of barton board and by the rhineland, pull out and that, and others than you are pretty much bod from public spaces. if you've not been vaccinated, can't prove that you've got a valid vaccination or that you've recovered from cove at 19 in the last 6 months. elsewhere like in the cities of hamburg and here in berlin, then you can get on public transport without being able to prove that you are vaccinated, recovered, or that you have a valid p c,
6:09 pm
r test. now we gauge the opinion of some people here in the german capital of what they make of the measures employed. i find it absolutely right, especially in the current situation, we must be very thorough. personally, i have no issues with this. as i want to have safety when getting from a to be extended us, it's difficult for many when they do not want to get vaccinated, but still one to use public transport. they will have to find other ways to move around. i find it a bit device if it's shocking, has they are using case numbers to force us into another locked down. mr. is that a said we are 9 on the scale of one to 10 at the apocalypse, where are at 9, but that relates to the quality of our politicians and not to the situation that prevails on the ground. well, we have a new government on the way and they are going to be facing huge challenges, whichever way you slice it, when it comes to this latest wave of the coven pandemic. now there is news coming
6:10 pm
out on thursday that the outgoing chancellor angle america had wanted to put the country into a 2 week lockdown that would have started from well thursday. today. however, i said be reported in those german tabloids that the incoming government led by all our shots. they have blocks, they said that's not the way they want to go, so it's not going to be locked downs. there is this huge problem with the 4th wave of covert 19 in germany. we're going to have to look to see what their plan is to tackle it. we spoke to bob job on a professor of urology, andrew logic surgery and the university of vienna. he says, europe should have wrote out mandatory vaccinations as soon as they became available if you really listen to physicians to experts, all of them agree that this back seems and vaccinations are the solution. and fortunately, because this was driven by politicians and i cannot repeat it often enough, i've been put politics comes to mix. medical decision is like
6:11 pm
a politician telling you if you need an index to me or not, we need mandatory vaccination. we should have done it much earlier, and the reason why people are so unhappy is because nobody was speaking clearly to them, explaining them the fact. it was more a political. you don't important people adequately. you don't spend time time money and resources to basically explain to people what's really going on. explain the vaccination process. the safety of this, this vaccination. as long as social media is driven by the big news in all parts of the world, you will have people doubting about the tickets of these kind of activities. and life time car has been extended in the french territory of guadalupe made on the way. so the cobra restrictions run and civil, so spread to another caribbean islands, martinique it's. we ignited long standing hostility against the authorities,

garcia reports from the state niece capitol. well, these are the traditional thursday demonstrations here. so darling that cut the crowd these schindler thousands. we had seen many small columns, swarming in various neighborhoods before converging here, and what they all want these for power to be handed over by the military to a civilian government. properly this time, without any acceptance, they bought the military, the step down many people. he appealed, but trade by prime minister ham dock, who signed an agreement with the military, giving up a lot of civilian bower to the military. we'd, if you, with this agreement between hum dog and moran, and this give legitimacy and legal situation for the court will, if you'll just we want comp will not complete civil society and complete civil government tear gas out. or something of the sort had been fired here,
6:14 pm
but we haven't seen any police there. all 2 ties burning out on the road. that is also in a traditional part of these protests whereby brutus to set them alighted major intersections that they lay barricade made up of bricks of stones to stop traffic that is civil disobedience, but the crowd disease, very diverse. there are elderly, here there are women, there are children are also men. all sorts of people from all walks of life. of these crowds are much smaller than what organizers had called for. there were also much more than money we had seen earlier. many people had given up many people no longer see the point in these demonstrations. they don't believe that any good change, positive change will come of these demonstrations after after 2 years of them. so the crowds are much thinner than organ. i said ok, they had court for a 1000000 people that come out the streets of hot dorm, a condemned last month, q,

a black lives matter protest in wisconsin, which had descended into a riot written house that he had acted in self defense with footage of the incident appearing to support his claims or the outrage surrounding the case has spilled out far beyond the public domain. and american whiskey maker has told people not to buy that written house right, if they're doing it to support teen shooters, coll, rittenhouse, the company heaven ales. these the case is no cause for celebration. the liquor firms that statement has drawn a mixed public reaction. i know a lot of whiskey drinkers. i know a lot of conservatives. i don't know any one who toasted the actions or verdict under discussion. another attempt to divert our attention and divide us. why in the world would you choose to jump into politics? victor said, and they chose to sewed with corruption and evil. exactly. and now that everybody know sales are even going to go up more brilliant marketing live on the fallout.

doesn't end that 1000000 of us. it's in the state of massachusetts, apparently announced it was creating, racially segregated processing space is following the data is also being reported in the american technology retailer has even offered its employees counseling. we spoke to comedian and conservative speaker evans science, who thinks that some people are overreacting. this idea that grow, people need to do to, to have psychological counseling and then to have days off. and all these things over a legal case that was adjudicated is actually more reflection of the family lising of the political left there than it is that anything on forward is going on in the american legal system. there is a movement in america, you know, the political left that sees things only through race. i mean, this is, this is the concept of critical race theory where race is critical to your theories . and so by definition,

a dinghy towards the waters in that photograph french piece appeared to be standing by and simply doing nothing there all to the questions for the u. k. government as well because whatever the government has been doing, it's not good enough either simply isn't working. we've had over the last few years, pretty much and t. platitudes and almost aggressive slogans coming from the government, particularly from the home secretary, pre to patel who had round 3 years ago, said she would make these crossings an infrequent phenomenon. and more recently, she vowed to shut off the route entirely, making them on viable while despite this tragedy just yesterday afternoon. and indeed this morning we've seen more boats attempting to cross the english channel. the terrible weather expected in the next few days potentially is why many people are risking their lives across the english china because they feel this is almost there last opportunity for a while. but we've come from the head of the port in carla and he said this is
6:23 pm
something we were sure could happen. and even those on the rescue mission just yesterday said how, just, how many more people lose their lives before the government actually intervene to stop this? this is real group assassination. and then the situation we experienced today. we have been driving it for a long time. we have been sounding the alarm for a long time, the fight, the humanitarian crisis. now, will the government actually do anything? after years and now years of a west setting situation and scared americans, professor of international history of the london school of economics phase, the french have an ax to grind the using migration to do so. i think didn't need there. the real change must happen in france. because after all, the french government is legally and internationally, league lose walsall. ready for speeches and for who moves around on these beaches and who lizzie's beaches. and so far, all we've seen is either incompetence,

lack of will or even complicity. i mean, there's a suspicion in england, the macro on i soon sense that brick suit, that he wants to punish the british for bricks. it in one way of doing this is to encourage migrants to cross from france to britain. legally, these migrants should register for asylum and france, and this should be made to do so by the french authorities. why the french authorities are incapable pleasing their own beeches is a matter of a mystery to nearly everybody in england over the seem to be incompetent. china is furious after the us invited taiwan, but not pay jane to a summit dedicated to democracy essays, the snob shows. washington is playing games with the u. s. did proves that the so called democracy is just a pretext and tool for it to pursue geopolitical goals. suppress other countries divide the world, serve its own interest,
